No Impact On Exam Eligibility For Voters In Lok Sabha Elections

The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued a clarification on Tuesday regarding messages circulating on social media, which claim that individuals who vote in the Lok Sabha elections 2024 and have their fingers inked will not be allowed to enter examination halls.

"The above messages are completely baseless, and NTA has not issued any such instruction or guideline. Students are requested not to pay heed to such rumours and to exercise their voting rights. Voting will not affect their eligibility to take examinations," the NTA said in an official release.

The testing agency advised students to focus on their studies and prepare for the forthcoming examinations.

In a major relief to students who missed the opportunity earlier to apply for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (NEET-UG) 2024 due to various reasons, the National Testing Agency (NTA) today reopened the registration window.

The application window opened today and will close on April 10 at 11.50pm. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website.

NEET (UG) 2024 will be held on May 5 from 2pm to 5.20pm nationwide and in 14 cities outside the country in pen and paper (offline) mode.

For further queries regarding the NEET (UG) - 2024 examination, candidates are advised to contact 011-40759000 or email at neet@nta.ac.in.

The Lok Sabha elections, taking place between April 19 and June 1 this year, have resulted in the rescheduling of various exams. Various competitive and entrance exams, including UPSC Civil Service prelims and NEET PG, have been rescheduled due to the elections. Other affected exams include the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT CET), The Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TS EAPCET), The Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS POLYCET), and Chartered Accountant (CA) exams.

Here are the revised dates for some exams:

MHT CET (PCM and PCB): The exam originally scheduled for April 16-30 will now be held from May 2-17 for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and April 22-30 for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB). Admit cards will be issued 10 days before the exam.

JEE Main 2024: The entrance test will now take place from April 4-12 instead of the earlier schedule of April 4-15.

TS EAPCET 2024: The Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy Common Entrance Test-2024 (TS EAPCET-2024) will be held from May 9-12 in two shifts. The exam will take place in two sessions, the first from 9 am to 12 noon, and the second between 3pm and 6pm.

TS POLYCET: The Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS POLYCET) has been rescheduled from May 17 to May 24. The entrance test will last for two hours and 30 minutes, held from 11 am to 1.30pm.

AP EAPCET 2024: The Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test, which was earlier slated for May 13-19, will now take place from May 16-22.

UPSC Civil Services Exam 2024: The UPSC prelims will now be held on June 16 instead of the earlier schedule of May 26.

NEET PG 2024: The NEET PG exam has been rescheduled to June 23. The results will be declared by July 15, and counselling for admissions is scheduled from August 5 to October 15.

ICAI CA May Exams 2024: ICAI CA Intermediate Group 1 will be held on May 3, 5, and 9 instead of May 7 while Group 2 exams will take place on May 11, 15, and 17 instead of the original schedule of May 9, 11, and 13.

CUET 2022-23 decoded: Here is all you need to know about the entrance test

CUET 2022-23 : CUET, earlier know as CUCET stands for Central Universities Entrance Test is mandatory for the 45 central universities from the academic session 2022-23. The Exam is likely to happen in the first week of July and the application window for the CUET will start from 2nd of April and will be open till 30th April 2022. The idea of having a common entrance test at the undergraduate level is to shift the focus more on developing the critical thinking ability of the students rather than going for rote learning.

Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET), advocated under the National Education Policy 2020 is not a new concept. It was first conducted for admission in 7 central universities for 1,500 seats in undergraduate, postgraduate & integrated courses in 2010. Till the academic year 2021-22, 12 Central Universities like Assam University, University of Karnataka, University of Kerala, University of Haryana, to name a few, already took admissions through CUET. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is the examination conducting Authority for CUET 2022.

In CUET, boards mark is not going to play a great role and is not a criteria for the admission, however the universities are free to decide the eligibility criteria for the admission. For example- A university may keep 60% as minimum marks in 12th as an admission criteria in their university.

The exam is divided into two three segments- the first one focusing on the language and the second one may be on the specific subject domain, for which the students are seeking admissions and the last one is based on general ability.

The Language Section is further divided into segments- 1A- having 13 language paper and Section 1B- having 19 language paper. If a student is aiming for graduation in specific language, will have to select language paper form 1B. A student may choose maximum of any three languages from section 1A and 1B together.

The Domain specific section is having 27 subjects and a student can maximum choose 6 subjects. If any subject is not mentioned in domain specific list, a student may choose the subject, which is very closely related to the domain list. For example, if a student is seeking admission in biotechnology, they may choose biology as a subject. The domain specific questions will be from NCERT.

The General test will have questions from areas like general knowledge including current affairs, general mental ability, quantitative reasoning, and logical and analytical reasoning.

Also, choosing options from each section is not mandatory and choice shall meet the requirements of desired universities.

The students are advised to choose language and subjects, which they have studied in class 12th board, however if any universities permits any relaxation in this regard, the same will be exercised under CUET. The students are advised to keep checking the website of respective universities frequently, in which they will seek admission.

The common entrance test for all the universities will put a rest to ever-increasing cut-offs (like DU) and will focus more on developing the critical thinking ability of the students rather than going for rote learning. This will also consider the students from different boards on the same footing otherwise since no uniformity is followed across different boards in awarding 12th marks, there is always a kind of discrimination based on 12th marks and it doesn’t provide equal opportunity to students seeking admission in all the prestigious colleges.

CUCET shall also provide a single-window platform, making admissions more streamlined & student-friendly, by eliminating entrance exams for various universities with varying difficulty levels. It will also save candidates' time, effort & money towards payment of multiple entrance exam fees.

The common entrance for all the universities seems to be a welcoming move. It changes the conventional academic paradigm by focusing more on conceptual understanding, critical thinking, comprehensive skills, & decision-making ability rather than cramming the syllabus. This reformative process will reduce the burden on students, colleges & universities, and the entire education system by imparting "substantial objectivity" to the process of admissions and “equitable opportunity” to the applicants to appear in a single umbrella examination at the national level.

NEET-JEE EXAM 2020: सफलता पाने के लिए छात्र इस तरह करें परीक्षा की तैयारी, इन बातों का रखना होगा खासतौर से ���्यान

चैतन्य भारत न्यूज इंजीनियरिंग और मेडिकल पाठ्यक्रमों में प्रवेश के लिए होने वाली परीक्षा जेईई और नीट के आयोजन में अब बेहद कम दिन बचे हैं। जेईई की परीक्षा 1 सितंबर से लेकर 6 सितंबर के बीच आयोजित होगी। जबकि नीट परीक्षा 13 सितंबर को होगी। नेशनल टेस्टिंग एजेंसी (NTA) ने दोनों ही प्रवेश परीक्षाओं के लिए दिशानिर्देश भी जारी कर दिए हैं। जो भी छात्र जेईई और नीट परीक्षाओं की तैयारी कर रहे हैं वो इन जरूरी बातों का खासतौर से ध्यान रखें। तैयारी कर रहे छात्रों को इन बातों का रखना होगा ध्यान-  नीट-जेईई परीक्षा में अब ज्यादा वक्त नहीं बचा है, इसलिए नए टॉपिक की तैयारी करने से बचे। अभ्यर्थी इस प्रवेश परीक्षा में बेहतर परिणाम पाने के लिए हर दिन कम से कम दस घंटे जरूर पढाई करें। परीक्षा की तैयारी शेड्यूल के हिसाब से ही करें। अभ्यर्थी अपने नोट्स हर वक्त अपने साथ रखें और उनसे ही पढ़ाई करें। परीक्षा में कम दिन बचे हैं, ऐसे में ज्यादा से ज्यादा मॉक टेस्ट करें। ध्यान रहे कि किसी भी तरह के अवसाद को अपने आस-पास न फटकने दें। परीक्षा की तैयारी के साथ ही कम से कम छह-सात घंटे की नींद जरूर लें। अभ्यर्थी पढ़ाई के साथ ही योग व मेडिटेशन भी करें ताकि उनका ध्यान केंद्रित रह सकें। जरूरी दिशानिर्देश सभी अभ्यर्थियों को मास्क और ग्लब्स पहनकर परीक्षा देनी होगी। अभ्यर्थियों को परीक्षा केंद्रों में नये मास्क और ग्लब्स दिए जाएंगे। हर अभ्यर्थी को सेल्फ डिक्लरेशन देना होगा कि वो कोरोना पॉजिटिव नहीं है। छात्रों को परीक्षा केंद्र में प्रवेश से पहले साबुन से हाथ भी धोने होंगे। घर से पारदर्शी बोतल में पानी लाना होगा। खुद का सैनिटाइजर भी लाना होगा। नीट परीक्षा के दौरान हर परीक्षा हॉल में सिर्फ 12 अभ्यर्थी ही बैठेंगे। जेईई परीक्षा में एक-एक सीट छोड़कर अभ्यर्थियों को बिठाया जाएगा। परीक्षार्थियों को एक-दूसरे से छह फीट की दूरी बनानी होगी। अभ्यर्थियों, शिक्षकों और स्टाफ का थर्मल स्क्रीनिंग से तापमान नापा जाएगा। हर परीक्षा केंद्र को परीक्षा से पहले ठीक से सैनिटाइज किया जाएगा। Read the full article
