First Ever Delhi based NGO talking on 'Population Control': Mobius Foundation in partnership with Zee Media Group
Mobius Foundation in partnership with WION is taking the vision of the Government of India forward, and launched a one-year-long social initiative called 'Mission Sustainability - Population v/s Planet'. The campaign commenced with a two-hour-long Thought Leadership Conclave on February 20, 2021. The launch was graced by Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Amitabh Kanth, CEO, NITI AAYOG.
Expressing his satisfaction at the timely importance of holding the event, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, "More people require more resources, and as the population increases, the earth's resources deplete. The population boom has been affecting the planet and the human race in many adverse ways. People in developing countries like India, feel the impact of environmental problems more acutely." - Quoted (indiaeducationdiary.in)
On this occasion, Amitabh Kanth, CEO, NITI AAYOG said, "'Family Planning' is considered the smartest development investment. For India to realise its sustainable development goals and economic aspirations, it is important to ensure that people have informed access to contraception and quality family planning services."
The launch had visionaries and dignitaries on board from across the country, and from different fields. Mr Rameshwar Prasad Gupta, Sec. Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change, Dr Madhavan Nair, Sec. Ministry of Earth Science India, Ms Poonam Muttreja, Executive Director, Population Foundation of India (PFI), Ms Shailaja Chandra, Former Secretary to the Government of India and Former Chief Secretary, Delhi, Mr Manu Gaur, President, Taxpayers Association of Bharat (TAXAB), Kartikeya Vikram Sarabhai, Founder and Director, CEE, Prof. Saroj Yadav Dean (Academic) NCERT, K.S. James, Director, International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) were part of the launch.
The complete 2-hour launch was divided in two three robust segments, each setting up the contest of the year-long awareness programme. The three segments were:
SESSION 1: POPULATION VS PLANET: SUSTAINING THE BALANCE SESSION 2: POPULATION STABILISATION: THE ROAD MAP SESSION 3: EDUCATION AND AWARENESS
To watch the launch, visit: https://youtu.be/ADEA06gbUv4
There was an exclusive one-on-one fireside chat with the Chairman of Mobius Foundation, Mr. Pradip Burman, where he mentioned that the "Mobius Foundation is focusing on two main objectives EDUCATION and POPULATION STABILISATION and emphasised that two solutions which can be implemented right away are RECYCLING and RENEWABLE ENERGY. If we can attain 100% of these two things, then our problem is solved."
Dr Ram Boojh, CEO, Mobius Foundation along with other panellists shed light on why we should focus on education and awareness around 'Population Stabilisation'. Points brought in focus were 'education leads to lower birth rates and slows population growth. This makes it easier for countries to develop. A more-educated workforce also makes poverty eradication and economic growth easier to achieve. The literacy rate is directly proportional to the fertility rate. Lack of formal education on matters related to population, like family planning, sexual education, reproductive behaviour, cultural and social values, and contraception is missing from the educational structure. This should not be a controversial subject, rather taken to the younger generation and young couples openly.
Mobius Foundation with this campaign is working to put the spotlight back on human population growth. Programme is titled "MISSION SUSTAINABILITY- POPULATION VS. PLANET" for English audience on WION Channel and "संभलना ज़रूरी है - जनसंख्या बनाम प्रकृति" for Hindi and regional audience on Zee News and it's regional network. Under this campaign, topics on how over population is responsible for exerting pressure in these areas or developing these issues are Climate Change, Bio Diversity and Natural Resources, Energy Crisis, Air Pollution, Jobs and Housing, Water Pollution, Depletion of Non-Renewable Resources, Education and Empowerment, Waste Generation, Education, Over Consumption Patterns etc.
About the Mobius Foundation:
The Mobius Foundation is a non-profit organisation, committed to supporting sustainability, empowering technologies, strengthening systems, encouraging healthy behaviour and   focusing on education. 7 Initiatives by Pradip Burman to Save the Environment
At 80, Mr Pradip Burman is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, environmentalist & prolific businessman, founded Mobius Foundation. It is a non-profit organisation that works towards sustainable development & spreading awareness among people about why we need to walk on this path.
Tumblr media
The founder strongly believes that we must sprout sustainability awareness in society and showcase the irresponsible activity we do without thinking about our environment for petty gains.
For a sustainable lifestyle, we must educate children & make some profound decisions so that they can be soft and friendly towards nature because running behind materialistic comfort only takes us towards our end.
Therefore, Pradip Burman began his initiative to save the environment.
The Initiatives by Pradip Burman
1.    Mission Sustainability: Population V/s Planet
Human population growth is the root of all environmental-related problems. However, this is often left out of the conversation. We can fight to lessen climate change, clean up pollution & stop habitat loss of biodiversity. But these all cannot be achieved until we address or control unsustainable population growth. The first thing that we can do is talk about it with the people.
To achieve this goal, Mobius Foundation began its journey by partnering with Zee Media and WION Channel to start conversations nationwide to explain how population growth is destroying natural resources and greenery.
2.            Project Aakar
Project Aakar is another initiative by the Mobius Foundation and a part of the Sustainability Solution program that works to promote awareness among women for family planning.
As the Earth is burdened with the growing population, they require more natural resources to consume, such as water, food, energy. This growing demand is depleting the planet’s resources.
Through this initiative, Mobius Foundation is supporting the Government of India’s commitment to stabilize the population. It is a crucial step to reduce global issues, extinction of species & carbon footprint.
3. Gyan Anant Vidyalaya
Pradip Burman has established a sustainable school called Gyan Anant Vidyalaya to teach young children about experiential learning by planting trees, and to live a sustainable life through curriculum activities.
The school gives knowledge through activities like conservation management, forestry, organic farming, etc.
4. Project Sanjeevani
To increase green cover in the states, Mobius Foundation, under Project Sanjeevani, began a mass tree plantation drive in 2018 and has planted 5000 saplings in Haryana.
The growth of greenery will not just reduce the greenhouse gases & other carbon footprints, but it will also help restore the ecological conservation projects for plantation drive.
Many local schools, students, farmers, Kisan club members and NGOs join the plantation drive to improve our Earth’s health.
5 .ICSE India
The International Conference on Sustainability Education (ICSE) was jointly established by Mobius Foundation and ‘The Climate Reality Project’ in partnership with the UNESCO New Delhi office. The initiative addresses the challenges that are halting the path of sustainable education.
It is empowering learners with new values, skills and attitudes that take the entire society towards sustainability. The leaders, educators, practitioners and policymakers are sharing innovative ideas, practices, case studies and policies to make a better decision for ‘Education for Sustainable Development, Environmental Education and Climate Change Education.’
6 .Training of Trainers on Circular Economy (ToTCE): The Educational Institutions
ToTCE is an empowering education programme that brings change to education with circular economy knowledge. In this initiative, Mobius Foundation invites collaborative efforts from practitioners, educational institutions and leaders to strengthen the education system and practices to provide knowledge beyond formal education. The programme is also designed to induce core circular thinking and values for teachers, lecturers, and academicians to teach future generations.
7. Khushal Parivar Diwas
Mobius Foundation began Khushal Parivar Diwas in sync with the UP government’s initiative, family planning. It organises camps at Trivendigani CHC and Kaisarganj CHC in Barabanki and Bahraich district to spread awareness and showcase how contraceptive methods can help them in planning a family.
It will increase the awareness among couples, help them plan a family & reduce the birth rates so that they can live a fulfilling and happy life.

Daily Current Affairs Dated On 22-Aug-2019
Daily Current Affairs Dated On 22-Aug-2019 GS-1 Fossil find in kutch Why in news? The hot arid desert of Kutch was once a humid sub-tropical forest with a variety of birds, freshwater fish and possibly giraffes and rhinos, a team of Indian and French researchers has said. Their conclusions are based on the discovery of a tranche of vertebrate fossils from nearly 14 million years ago in a geological time period known as the Miocene. After the discovery, they took nearly 12 years for analysis. Details  The fossils, consisting mostly of ribs, and parts of teeth and bones, were unearthed from Palasava village of Rapar taluk in Kutch, Gujarat.  Overall, the fossil finds from Palasava suggest that a rich diversity of fauna and flora sustained in warm, humid/wet, tropical to sub-tropical environmental conditions during the Middle Miocene (about 14 Mya).  The bulk of fossils unearthed in Kutch have so far been mainly marine organisms, due to their proximity to the Arabian Sea.  Geological changes eventually closed off the salt-flats’ connection to the sea and the region turned into a large lake, eventually becoming salty wetlands.  The findings point to clues on how mammals dispersed between Africa and the Indian subcontinent when part of India was in the Gondwanaland supercontinent that existed nearly 300 million years ago. Palaeontologist G.V.R. Prasad of Delhi University said that the finds were significant because they showed Kutch to be a potential treasure trove of mammal fossils with possible continuity to vertebrate fossils in the Siwalik, spanning Pakistan to Nepal. Daily Current Affairs Dated On 22-Aug-2019 GS-2 Oxytocin ban Why in news? The final decision on whether the government can block private pharmaceutical companies from manufacturing and selling vital pregnancy drug oxytocin in India has been deferred, with the Supreme Court deciding the issue needs further deliberation. While the apex court, hearing the government's appeal on the issue for several months, was expected to pronounce its judgment on the issue on August 22, a bench comprising Justices Abhay Manohar Sapre and Indu Malhotra has instead formulated seven “points” for consideration by a larger bench. What is oxytocin?  Oxytocin, also known as the 'love hormone', is a hormone secreted by the pituitary glands of mammals during sex, childbirth, lactation or social bonding.  However, it can also be chemically manufactured and is sold by pharma companies for use during childbirth.  It is administered either as an injection or a nasal solution. Why is it vital?  Oxytocin helps contract the uterus and induce delivery, control bleeding, and promote the release of breast milk.  Its use is especially crucial to prevent new mothers from excessively bleeding after giving birth— a common cause of maternal deaths.  According to an India sample registration scheme survey conducted in 2001-2003, postpartum hemorrhage accounted for 38 per cent of maternal deaths. Daily Current Affairs Dated On 22-Aug-2019 What is the case?  The health ministry in April 2018 notified a ban on private firms from manufacturing and selling oxytocin, stating that it wanted to restrict the responsibility of supplying the drug to a Karnataka-based public sector manufacturer to avoid its misuse in the veterinary field.  Following a case by drug makers like Mylan and Neon Laboratories and patient activist group All India Drug Action Network (AIDAN), the Delhi High Court in December quashed the ban on various grounds, including that it lacked scientific basis.  The government has appealed the decision at the Supreme Court, arguing that the Karnataka PSU, Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Ltd (KAPL), has built up the capacity to manufacture and supply the required quantity of the drug here. What happens now?  The government and other parties in the case will have to place their arguments in front of the new bench on the seven points that the two judges have listed. These points are yet to be made public, as the court's latest order on this matter is not available yet. One nation one card Why in news? Last Friday, the government launched the pilot project for the inter-state portability of ration cards between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and between Maharashtra and Gujarat, as part of its 'One Nation, One Ration Card' scheme. Daily Current Affairs Dated On 22-Aug-2019 What is a ration card?  A ration card is issued to the head of the family, depending on the number of members in a family and the financial status of the applicant.  It is used by households to get essential food grains at subsidised prices from designated ration shops (also called fair price shops) under the Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS).  Over the years, different types of ration cards were issued depending on the level of deprivation. Later, in 2013, when the National Food Security Bill was passed, different ration cards were compressed to just two -- priority and Antyodaya (for the most poor).  The responsibility of identifying eligible families and issuing ration cards to them rests with the state/UT government. What is a ration shop?  Ration shops can be privately owned or owned by cooperative societies or by the government. Ownership licenses are issued by the concerned state government.  Presently, commodities including wheat, sugar, rice and kerosene are being allocated as part of the TPDS.  State governments have the discretion to provide additional commodities. What is the 'One Nation, One Ration card' scheme?  Since ration cards are issued by state governments, this implied that beneficiaries could procure food grains only from the designated ration shops within the concerned state.  If a beneficiary were to shift to another state, he/she would need to apply for a new ration card in the second state.  There were other complications. For instance, after marriage, a woman needed to get her name removed from the ration card issued to her parents, and get it added to the ration card issued to her husband's family.  The ONORC scheme attempts to address this gap in TPDS delivery.  Essentially, the scheme has been launched keeping in mind the internal migration of our country, since people keep moving to different states in search of better job opportunities and higher standards of living.  As per Census 2011, 4.1 crore people were inter-state migrants and 1.4 crore people migrated (inter and intra-state) for employment. Daily Current Affairs Dated On 22-Aug-2019 Benefits  With the ONORC scheme being implemented in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the beneficiary can buy food grains from ration shops located in either of the states.  The same is the case with Maharashtra and Gujarat.  The government hopes to implement the scheme across India by June 1, 2020. GS-3 Illegal trade off tiger parts Why in news? While the latest census has put India’s tiger population at 2,967, the Traffic report uses the 2016 WWF estimate of 2,226, with India home to more than 56% of the global wild tiger population. A new report has quantified the illegal global trade in tigers and tiger parts over a 19-year period between 2000 and 2018. India has the world’s largest tiger population — 2,967 in the Tiger Census released last month — and the highest extent of tiger trade also happens in the country. About the report  The new report has been compiled by Traffic, a NGO working in conservation and currently in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature, according to the Traffic website. What it found, how?  Overall, a conservative estimate of 2,359 tigers were seized from 2000 to 2018 across 32 countries and territories globally.  These occurred from a total of 1,142 seizure incidents, the report said.  Apart from live tigers and whole carcasses, tiger parts were seized in various forms such as skin, bones or claws.  The report explains how the number of tigers was estimated from these diverse sets of seizures. Daily Current Affairs Dated On 22-Aug-2019  On average, 60 seizures were recorded annually, accounting for almost 124 tigers seized each year.  The top three countries with the highest number of seizure incidents were India (463 or 40.5% of total seizures) and China (126 or 11.0%), closely followed by Indonesia (119 or 10.5%). The India findings  While the latest census has put India’s tiger population at 2,967, the Traffic report uses the 2016 WWF estimate of 2,226, with India home to more than 56% of the global wild tiger population.  India is the country with the highest number of seizure incidents (463, or 40% of all seizures) as well as tigers seized (625).  In terms of various body parts seized, India had the highest share among countries for tiger skins (38%), bones (28%) and claws and teeth (42%). Microplastics Why in news? In its first report into the effects of microplastics on human health, WHO looked into the specific impact of microplastics in tap and bottled water. The World Health Organization (WHO) on Thursday said the level of microplastics in drinking-water is not yet dangerous for humans but called for more research into potential future risk. What are microplastics?  Microplastics are very small pieces of plastic that pollute the environment.  Microplastics are not a specific kind of plastic, but rather any type of plastic fragment that is less than 5 mm in length according to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).  They enter natural ecosystems from a variety of sources, including cosmetics, clothing, and industrial processes. Daily Current Affairs Dated On 22-Aug-2019 Salient points of report  In its first report into the effects of microplastics on human health, WHO looked into the specific impact of microplastics in tap and bottled water.  “The headline messages to reassure drinking water consumers around the world, that based on this assessment, our assessment of the risk is that it's low.  WHO said that data on the presence of microplastics in drinking water is currently limited, with few reliable studies, making it difficult to analyse the results.  The organisation has called on researchers to conduct a more in-depth evaluation into microplastics and the potential impact on human health.  It has also urged a crackdown in plastic pollution to benefit the environment and reduce human exposure to microplastics.  The report said that irrespective of human health risks caused by microplastics in drinking-water “measures should be taken by policymakers and the public to better manage plastics and reduce the use of plastics where possible”.  WHO said that microplastics larger than 150 micrometres are not likely to be absorbed by the human body but said the chance of absorbing very small microplastic particles, including nanosized plastics, could be higher, although it said data is limited. Future issue and way ahead  The report warns of other dangers ahead: if plastic emissions in the environment continue at the current rate, microplastics could present widespread risks for aquatic ecosystems in a century, which could in turn increase human exposure.  Experts recommend wastewater treatment, which can remove more than 90% of microplastics in water by using treatments such as filtration.  WHO said those measures would have a double advantage as it would also address the problem of faecally contaminated water by removing microbial pathogens and chemicals that can cause deadly diarrhoeal diseases.

Under Modi, How Did Hindu Nationalism Affect India’s Foreign Relations?
As the working day of reckoning for Narendra Modi’s federal government in India has occur and elections are in progress, many types of summaries of his tenure maintain emerging. Just one of the quite a few angles one particular could glimpse at is regardless of whether the ideology of Hindu nationalism – professed by Modi’s ruling occasion, the Bharatiya Janata Social gathering (BJP) – affected Indian foreign policy in any significant way about the previous five decades.
Modi and a lot of of his bash colleagues belong to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist corporation that follows a rigid nationalist outlook. A person could have anticipated that the potent ideological roots of most of the cabinet members would impact India’s policies toward the outside earth. This has not occurred a lot, nonetheless, and India’s foreign coverage retained a superior diploma of continuity and exhibited just gradual modify. The system of the ship was saved as a result of tenures of various ruling coalitions and Modi did not divert from it possibly.
But, measuring the impression of ideology is tough. Nobody denies that thoughts are crucial, but it is frequently complicated to evaluate their exact importance. This in an situation I once briefly reviewed with the erudite Zorawar Daulet Singh of the Centre for Policy Exploration in New Delhi: international policy offers us enough source content, but these data will typically not support to validate how the selections of policy makers ended up driven by their thoughts. Also, ideology is usually a single of quite a few important things on the front of domestic politics, but in overseas relations its spirit is constantly saved inside the restrictions of a human body of the country’s main demands, this kind of as protection and financial progress.

Modi’s cabinet has, for instance, proved to be bolder in dealings with Pakistan in the second 50 % of its tenure (2016-2019) than the two former Congress-led governments (from 2004-2014). One could believe that Hindu nationalism – the proponents of which usually demanded that New Delhi deal with Pakistan by implementing robust actions – was an crucial element of this place. And but Modi was also substantially more conciliatory toward Islamabad at the beginning of his tenure (2014-2015). The BJP has also not fulfilled its assure of facilitating the comeback of Kashmiri Pandits – a community of Hindu priests that experienced to flee the Kashmir valley in which they ended up persecuted by Muslim radicals. This step would the two fit in properly properly with the plans of Hindu nationalism and mail out a solid concept to Islamabad.
Then all over again, in 2016, Modi’s governing administration replied boldly just after the terrorist assaults in Uri and Pathankot (each orchestrated by extremist companies from Pakistan) by ordering “surgical strikes” on camps in Pakistan-managed Kashmir. But that evaluate was not a novelty: India responded with identical functions in 2008, 2010 and 2011, underneath a distinctive authorities. The a person minute when Modi’s cabinet truly lifted the bar in stability relations with Islamabad was the airstrike on Balakot in 2019. It was a still an additional, solitary punitive operation in opposition to a radical Pakistani organization and a reply to an before terrorist assault in Indian Kashmir. But what established that action aside by making it extra dangerous and bold was the use of the Indian Air Drive and attacking a concentrate on within Pakistan correct, not in disputed Kashmir. One particular could argue that Hindu nationalism as an influencing believed was one of the motives the cupboard took this action, although the governments 2004-2014 shied absent from this sort of action. But this impact can neither be ruled out nor verified. Just one could as nicely speculate that the excellent form the operation took can be explained by the actuality that the tensions took place just right before the elections and Narendra Modi’s government actually needed to demonstrate it can stand up to its foes.
Allow me record 6 other points to take into consideration in this discussion.
Very first, the shades of ideology ended up barely obvious in New Delhi’s policy towards the a few key world wide powers: the United States, China, and Russia. India’s cooperation with United States has been evolving for many many years now, and none of the earlier governments attempted to transform the ship in one more direction (the Communist get-togethers are the only ones who would wish to do so). But Modi did his finest not to neglect the weakened partnership with Russia both. Nationalist boldness was also invisible in his conciliatory (and unsuccessful) gestures in the direction of China.
Next, Modi has been trying really hard to improve India’s escalating partnership with Israel, starting to be the to start with Indian key minister to stop by that place. It is also palpable that the Palestinian challenge is remaining progressively sidelined in New Delhi’s plan towards the Middle East (even though Modi stopped by in Palestine for a few hours in 2017 and expressed his governing administration guidance for a two-state answer and an “independent” Palestine). These developments are in tune, it appears, with how before Hindu nationalist leaders experienced known as for India to forge stronger ties with Israel somewhat than with the Muslim Arab countries of the Middle East. But the previously Indian governing administration had also been maximizing ties with Israel and Modi has not neglected some of the vital companions between the Arab nations as properly (he has paid out visits to Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, for instance). It would look that the spirit of ideology was the moment once more locked in the system of India’s day-to-day wants, as some of the Muslim Arab states residence a considerable selection of Indian employees and export their vitality means to India.
3rd, opposite to the most vehement votaries of the free sector that declare that dollars has no nationality, nationalists frequently declare it does. Both equally streams of imagined are to be discovered within just the coteries of the ruling BJP. Both equally the celebration and a great deal a lot more the nationalist group guiding it, the RSS, have been advertising and marketing the thought of swadeshi — the advertising of Indian providers and their products and solutions and solutions. But this has hardly translated into any insurance policies underneath Narendra Modi, himself a major supporter of overseas investment decision. Even though in opposition Modi and the BJP had criticized permitting FDI in retail and, yes, they have not overturned this choice the moment in ability. The recent government’s flagship “Make in India” plan was in truth all about rolling out a crimson carpet for overseas traders and not defending the Indian industries. Even some sections of the RSS took a various stand from the BJP governing administration and experienced at times scolded Modi’s cupboard for its totally free current market-oriented financial insurance policies.
Fourth, a person region where Modi’s government seemed to be ideologically more involved was the promotion of Indian lifestyle, such as spirituality, as element of its coverage. Producing the International Yoga Working day an official UN celebration and the highly effective once-a-year marketing of this party is possibly the most effective occasion of this. Abhijnan Rej and Rahul Sagar in their apt summary of Modi’s international policy for Carnegie gave more this kind of examples:
Below Modi, India has progressively begun to use spiritual diplomacy, for occasion, as a strategic tool for a range of ends. The innovation of Buddhist diplomacy has develop into, variously, a resource to keep the Dalai Lama card alive, forge ties with Southeast Asia, and construct bridges with China when essential. Equally, the aforementioned Kartarpur agreement signifies a variety of spiritual diplomacy all-around Sikhism that could aid pave the way (at the very least in a limited perception) for renewed engagement with Pakistan.
Fifth, the Hindu nationalists perceive Hindu religious identification as the bedrock of Indian countrywide id and therefore understand any conversion from Hinduism as a threat to nationwide unity. They have been generally suspicious – and occasionally even violent – toward Christian missionaries operating in India. In this regard Modi’s coverage has followed the nationalist spirit by cancelling the licenses of selected international Christian NGOs and restricting their pursuits, even though this are unable to be regarded as element of a direct relation to any state.
Eventually, it is maybe the policy toward refugees where Hindu nationalism surfaced most strongly, as Modi’s authorities admitted openly that it is unwilling to acknowledge Muslim refugees or to grant citizenship to Muslims of international origins. The BJP’s election manifesto of 2014 declared that beneath its rule “India shall stay a pure household for persecuted Hindus and they shall be welcome to search for refuge in this article.” Modi’s governing administration was obviously not happy to settle for the (predominantly Muslim) Rohingya refugees from Myanmar the moment they started to be persecuted yet again in 2017 and started out to flee to nearby countries, including India. The BJP’s choice-makers also ignited a controversy by tabling the Citizenship (Modification) Invoice in 2016 and eventually voting it by the reduced property of Parliament. The piece of legislation stipulated that following seven years of home Indian citizenship would be supplied to any particular person who experienced come from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan furnished that she or he would profess any other faith other than Islam. The bill was criticized for a few reasons – as a lot of identified it too liberal – but any level its intention of granting citizenship based mostly on spiritual denominations was distinct. All of this was capped by the declarations of BJP get together president, Amit Shah, in the course of the 2019 election campaign, when he mentioned that “We will take out every single one infiltrator apart from Buddha (sic), Hindus, and Sikh.”
To sum up, the BJP’s overseas policy took a predictable and relatively sensible trajectory. The shades of ideology within just the spectrum of its actions and declarations ended up much less noticeable whenever it arrived to dealing with the realm of hard electricity (in aspects these types of as safety and financial system) and in relations with much better nations. They were being, nevertheless, a lot more clear each time domestic politics known as for it, and also in just the location of smooth energy (these kinds of as lifestyle marketing), as well as in relation to non-state actors and weaker teams (this kind of as Christian NGOs and Muslim refugees).
