So, a new girl named Yolanda Nash joined my college today. We were having a practical session, and being the kind person I am, I offered to help her with the college dashboard app—where we check our profile, fees, attendance, etc. I approached her and said, "Hey, I can help you set it up. Just download the app from the Play Store and use the ID the college gave you." But she stopped me mid-sentence and said, "Can we do this tomorrow?"

Internally, my mind was racing with all sorts of thoughts, but I didn’t let it show. I simply replied, "Okay." In my head though, I thought, Do you really think I’m going to help you again? She left without a second glance. Later, even the teacher commented that Yolanda didn't seem interested in the practical either—she was ignoring the instructor while they were talking to her.

Now, here’s where it gets interesting. She didn’t know much about me... but she was about to find out. When the class started, I was super active, answering questions and participating in discussions. I noticed her watching me. I was sitting in the 4th row, middle seat, and she was in the 1st row, to the right. When the class ended, as I was leaving, she looked at me with a mix of helplessness, admiration, and maybe something more. My friends even said she wanted to talk to me.

But in my mind, I thought, No way. She had her chance when I was genuinely kind without expecting anything in return. Now, she’s giving me those eyes, thinking she can reel me in for favors.

Le buone relazioni si costruiscono fin dalla nostra nascita, come veniamo accolti su questo incredibile pianeta, se troviamo fin da subito l'amore, il nostro nutrimento principale. Ciò che è un bisogno basilare per la nostra evoluzione, parte da come veniamo nutriti, se veniamo nutriti poco avremo sempre fame e cercheremo quel nutrimento in tutte le forme possibili, talvolta non riconoscendo più cosa ci fa bene, 'mangiamo' qualunque cosa, affamati di briciole. Come mangiare frutta andata a male ma è pur sempre qualcosa di cui cibarci, non vedendo che la frutta fresca è semplicemente una decisione, una scelta, guardare oltre alla fame, e scegliere cosa ci fa bene. Immaginiamo quindi di non aver avuto un buon nutrimento, quindi rincorriamo chiunque ci mostri interesse senza osservare che magari quella persona ci dà solo briciole o ci sta manipolando, ma per noi è nutrimento. Accorgersi quindi di cosa ci stiamo nutrendo, se davvero ci fa bene ingoiare frasi, commenti, giudizi, gelosie, manipolazioni, cattiverie, tradimenti di percorso, e se è la volta buona di dire no, io da questo momento decido di nutrirmi in modo sano e scelgo Amore per me, nelle parole, nella compassione, nel perdono, nella bellezza, io decido di amarmi e scelgo la frutta buona. Non farlo solo per te sai, ma anche per i tuoi figli, crescono con il tuo esempio. Fallo anche per tutto ciò che ti sta attorno, e di conseguenza inizierà una catena di consapevolezza che ci porterà a vivere una vita meravigliosa.
