It took me quite some time to learn how to draw chubby characters but it's so satisfying to have eventually. ( *`u*) (I mean, there's still so much to learn, but still.)

Having a chubby main protagonist is so wonderful to have. And a good kid at that. (Ngl I'm attracted to kindness. haha So of course it's very important to me that he's fat AND kind.)

Also design-wise, I personally think it fits his character so well. Soft and huggable, shaped like a friend. Thick arms to hug people with snuggly. Body wide like a shield. etc. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And I just really like to capture these elements when I draw him as an adult. Also that it's just fun to draw.

OH BOY it's Learning About Fox Time!

1: I kind of cycle between Favorite OCs; my "favorite" is whoever I'm fixating on at the time. At the moment, it's kind of a three-way split between Nerise, Fenumin, and Darcy, but any given moment, if I'm reminded of another OC, they briefly claim my heart and run away with it. I think Origins!Kuja, better known these days as Urha'to Nelhah, is my favorite of all time... which should come as no surprise, considering Origins is my baby, and considering... Well.

2: I assume you mean favorite NPC, in which case: Stephanivien de Haillenarte, my beloved...... I picked up MCH at a time when I was having a huge falling-out with the friend who'd played a major role in getting me into the game, and I was kind of considering unsubbing, because ARR hadn't really grabbed me and I wasn't like, deeply invested beyond the AU I was crafting for my Origins characters (alongside my roommate's WoLs). Then I ran into Steph, and oh man, he saved the game for me; it's not an exaggeration to say I would've fallen out of the game completely if he hadn't gotten me super invested in it all over again. I actually roleplayed Steph for a couple of years, on @skysteelsun.

3: Favorite game: Final Fantasy IX, by a massive unstoppable landslide!

4: Favorite character: Garland my beloved Why is a complicated explanation, but it kind of boils down to my huge undying love for fallen civilizations - what could be better, then, than a completely dead planet? Garland is overseeing the revival and restoration of a world that has been dead for several thousand years, and that fascinates me. And I think his treatment of the beings he has created to populate that dead world (among others) is kind of an interesting look at how he himself, also a construct, might have been treated by his own creators. I can't say a lot without, you know, spoilers, but I find him so incredibly interesting on so many levels. He's only around for less than a disk and a half, but he makes excellent use of his screentime.

5: Nerise's wyvern's name, Sohl Amh, means "Slow Song," and while I initially chose it because I liked the sound of it... it has very much come to fit their personality. Sohl Amh is the steadier, more patient of the pair, content to wait and see what happens - compared to Nerise's quick temper and eagerness for results. Nerise's name was also just an "I like the sound of it," to be honest. We don't know a lot about how elezen naming conventions have changed, if at all, in the past thousand years, so it was kind of a shot in the dark!

6: Oh man okay so eventually what happens is Marty gets his ass arrested for poaching (he actually takes the fall for Dom, presuming - not without reason - he'll get off lighter than a Duskwight would). And who should happen to spot him while he's being brought in than one Serpent Captain Sanson Smyth? Who notices he looks vaguely familiar. One thing leads to another, and Marty gets introduced to Guydelot, and they realize they probably share a dad. Sanson's owed a favor or five by the Adders at this point, and has sufficient influence to get Marty's sentenced negotiated down to exile from the Greatwood. It is at this point that Marty realizes he's going to have to tell Tsimh everything - part of the reason he hasn't asked her to marry him yet is the whole "I'd have to tell her I'm a poacher".... thing. So he tells her. She is understandably upset, but honestly, more about not being told. They work it out. They move - in keeping with Marty's sentence - to La Noscea, and settle on a farmstead. All's well. And then, yes, Marty finally proposes to his girl.

But some new ones for you: Spring fears that she is not enough and will never live up to Mother Nature or her sisters. She thinks that any one of them would've made a better Legate to Mother Nature than her!

Blossom Bunny fears NOTHING. Literally. Nothing scares her. the thought of just, nothing?!?!?!?! She does NOT vibe with that, Night and Day are like "ah yes. our void." and Blossom is like "well you can fuck RIGHT OFF with that fatass krispy kreme bullshit" and then Spring beats up Jacqueline for teaching blossom swears a la this meme 😂😂😂 (casually gonna add that to my to doodle list)

Diteline and Blinter have my whole ass entire soul and heart 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. I love them I love them I LOVE THEM! Blinter's whole EVERYTHING is MY everything, and Diteline's story is AMAZING (one day I will write it), and they're such fun little pairs and I just. hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (dies)

I am also very vibing Jack's relationships with the Twins. We've explored him and Fino and how they bond over stuff, and I am EXCITED for a scene in Chapter 29 of CS that explores the Fiera/Jack side of things! I also cannot stop THINKING of the Twin Princes. My god. If Pyros ever smartened up their relationship would be HILARIOUS. In the unlikely event this happens, here are some spoilers: it's a frenemy relationship and they bond by committing patricide >:)

ALSO! I don't talk much about it but Myles and Xander are biffers. My god. those two can go on about ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. ESPECIALLY magic tech! Their interests merge very nicely, when they work together? My GOD. These two fuckos accomplish a LOT.

OC you most struggled to make?

Myles and Olivia, funnily enough! It was sooo hard to figure out these two it was unREAL. My friend Kade had made a lil TF Legate AGES ago and Myles kinda was inspired by that as a fun fact! And then Olivia also appeared and I was like quoi??? And she was like Myles is the most nervous lil guy so I also Legate with him BUT he will be Next TF (intense AC stare) she is going to make SURE OF IT because SHE has PLANS! Head Healer has her NAME ON IT >:)

The other Legates came fairly easily! The one with the MOST development who is the MOST different from their original concept is Dite, 100% 😳😳

The Blinter Thing that started as vent art and is now uh. a something??? Takes place in Crystal Springs, ~100 or so years AFTER the Millennia War/Civil War/War of Succession! It's a new baby city, just breaking out of the confines of a monarchist regime that nobody seemed to really realize had such a tight fist over customs and traditions and laws and stuff until they got rid of those hoes and created the democracy-esque thing that Crystal Springs is known as today!

What are some tropes and character dynamics found in your wips?

Evil Uncles, for some odd reason. I have 3 Uncles and they aren't really evil? One sucks and is the WORST, the other one is like. Very right wing and innapropro in terms of jokes and just. Awkward, and the third one was an amazing guy but has since passed! so, yeah, not sure where the evil Uncles thing comes from but it is prevalent.

Redemption Arcs. Love me a good Redemption Arc. I blame ATLA 100%

And good parents! That's a character dynamic, right? Lol. But yeah, My parents suck, and I am TIRED of sucky parents, so I am going to write ALL THE GOOD PARENT DYNAMICS! HECK!

Uhhhhh that's a good? Question? Is general a genre? I like writing general things tbh, love continuations of things and just Really Good Stories! Fantasy and romance are FUN, and I quite like reading Fantasy! Romance hasn't hit the way it used to but I still quite enjoy reading a good romance :) Bonus if miscommunication ISN'T a major plot device, and BONUS BONUS if they're pals first! I like seeing development in relationships before hopping to the romance bits. Slow burn? sign me the FUCK UP

What was your first fandom you were in? Did you make any art/fanfic for it? 

The first fandom I actively took PART in was the Mentalist! I wrote a couple of things for it, and they are up on my ff.net page. I liked Jane and Lisbon a lot! I feel like if I were to rewatch it, tho, I'd not ship them as much 🤔🤔🤔

Danny Phantom was deffs the OG OG OG phandom! My very first OC was a self-insert halfa named ghostliy princess (yes, spelt incorrectly) and that was my internet name ALL OVER THE PLACE up until MCR released Danger Days, and I decided my killjoy name would be Sapphire Sky and started changing it on ff.net. Only to find it was taken. So I went FULL WHITE LADY and spelt it in a way that nobody would EVER think was pronounced sapphire, and BOOM! SafyreSky Industries was born!

Nowadays if I had a Killjoy-sona, she'd be named Rainbow Vomit or Pastel Punk Puke 😂😂😂

BUT ANYWAY I did do some stuff for Danny Phantom! There was one Phanniemay that I was v active in and wrote a couple of oneshots for! I had plans for every prompt for the month, but then found it hard to balance my first full time job with art so it fell by the wayside.

Here are a couple of Danny Phantom things I wrote! I dare not reread them or the urge to rewrite will consume me, and I really need to focus on Crystal Springs lmao. I wanna crosspost ASAP but have been procrastinating/distracted bc of wedding planning 😅😅😅

I don't want to sound rude or to appear like I'm causing trouble but am I the only one who is all 'bruh' at people like the Twelve anon who claim they aren't accusing you of stealing but they're ""just curious"" if it's a coincidence that a pretty generic idea that any two creators could come up has been used by two creators? i'm sorry but I just find those type of questions unnecessary, especially when I like to think that an artist like RJ would cite inspiration for an idea if she used one.

I normally wouldn't publish an ask like this because I'm still uncertain about the last anon's intentions but some things really need to be said about this "no idea is unoriginal, you must've been inspired by someone" mindset: Unfortunately, I just think we're still dealing with the by-product of big artists on DeviantART believing that they came up with a concept first, that nobody else can come up with the same concept and nobody else gets to use it. It was just a downright shitty and nasty time because artists were legit afraid of being attacked by this artist and their fans that they'd never even heard of before, much less "stolen" an idea from.

I do agree that I find such questions unnecessary because who even cares? Sure, you're "curious" but why? Does it really matter if I was inspired by something or not? Just let artists work with whatever ideas they want. 99.99% of the time there's no nefarious idea laundering scheme behind an artist's work. It's 2022, it should be known by now that it is indeed purely coincidental when artists work with similar ideas.

Also, I don't feel you're being rude or w/e at all, anon. Coming to me via anon on a blog that has absolutely nothing to do with the OCs in question when they could've directed the question to my Toyhouse and other socials? Cristal witches, aka Sasha making headcanons for the world of Eldarya

I have this idea since forever at this point, so I figured it wouldn't hurt a fly to talk about it a little. It comes from years before when I wanted my OC to not be human but some kind of magic creature, so here we go.

English is not my first languange, so I am apologizing in advance.

Note: Throughout the post, the timespan is after the Blue Sacrifice, but I will talk about that too later on.

Who are cristal witches?

Cristal witches are witches who hold power connected to maana.

The bigger maana surronds them, the bigger their powers get

The reason they are called cristal witches is because they can form a connection with the Crystal

They are creatures with big potencial to play big roles in Eldarya, but that is exactly the point where things go wrong

More about witches

Most cristal witches are women, it's really rare when a male is born and inherits magical power, but there are cases when it happens

There were never any worry about them dying out, since the genes are VERY strong

When a male and female cristal witch have a child who is also one, they turn out way stronger then the others who only have one parent being one

Don't get me wrong, one parent makes the kid already strong as it is, but two parents are just a whole new level

Cristal witches all have tattoos, all in different colors. Most of the time the colors don't have anything to do with the powers they can hold, but lighter colors indicate lighter powers, meaning: lighter colors can't use magic that requires bigger maana usage, like black magic, or healing magic

(If you play the game, you sure know the voodoo outfit, I based the tattoos on those tattoos, so you can see the colors if you google it)

Since cristal witches are a heavily mixed community thanks to the overload of women, there are times where kids inherit both of their parents specific genetics

It's rare tho, because of the witch genes mixing up with other races' is not that common

But when it happens, it always gains attention

Cristal witches are not just cristal witches because they are connected to the Crystal, but because they literally have crystals all over their body

These crystals are mostly small ones and has the color of the tattoos

They are really human-like, so if they can hide their tattos and crystals they can perfectly blend in, which did come handy at some point

Their lifespan is about 150-200 years

They are able to open the portal to the human world

(here you can see the children of my OC [Chrystal] and Ezarel, who were lucky enough to inherit both of their parents genes, so they are witches with elf ears.)

How did they live?

Back then cristal witches lived in small communities, mostly small villages, but there where some communities living a full nomad life

Since they live so long, there were not many of them to begin with

These smaller communities lived close to each other way back then, but the nomad communities started to move around after a while

These are highly spiritual communities, especially that they are fully able to communicate with the Oracle if they wish so

They had special type of education, where witches were learning to use basic magic, while non-witches who lived with them learned alchemy

They had strict rules, that everybody needed to follow, they weren't allowed to use their power randomly

They needed to get an approval to use magic that requires more manna than your basic magic, and also to use dangerous or risky magic

If somebody went against this rule more than 5 times, they got their magic taken away

They choose new leader every year, although if a leader was good, they sticked with them and kept on picking them

The leader was not leading alone, although they made the final decisions

There were many smaller position available next to the leader, which are also chosen by the other witches

Overally they are really pieceful, so the conflicts are not that common

Cristal witches are able to do many things with magic, but it takes a lifetime to gain a really controlled power, so older, well-educated witches are highly respected and the leader was chosen from them most of the times

Some really strong witches are even able to bring back people from the death, but only if they're right there when the death happens

The Blue Sacrifice

The reason that Cristal witches were never part of the council that planned out the Sacrifice was that the races forming the council agreed that Eldarya could need them in the future (and they were damned right)

Before the Sacrifice taken place, witches were not that strong than after it happend

I imagine it the way, that once the sacrifice was made, Eldarya alone had more maana than when the two worlds were one and since witches' powers are mostly maana based, it made their powers grow way stronger than before

(I hope this makes sense lol)

Where things went wrong

As I mentioned before, they are creatures with big potential

When the Blue Sacrifice went wrong, the races in Eldarya needed the witches help the most

Almost every community, town, villige, whatever had at least one witch living with them to help out whenever there were high need

The problem is, that there was always high need; as we know Eldarya was in trouble

With the help of the witches it was easier to go for supplies to the human world, although only those communities could do this who had stronger, more experienced witches

There were even witches who were able to cast spells and make the field able to grow some edible plants

And this is exactly where things went terribly wrong

Since cristal witches have a high value, there were many who hunted them or tortured them for their powers

Why? Well, I know all the above reasons would be enough, but there are more to it

Cristal witches' blood is able to make the lifespan of whoever drinks it longer

And not just that, but it can completely function as food, it stops hunger for longer periods of time (weeks, sometimes months, depending on power) and makes the immune system 100% healthy

It was also used for really expensive medication

You know what else is really valuable? The tears of witches.

It can fasten healing and was used for many medication as well as their blood

But only tears that hold heavy emotions count, since the tear drops turn into little crystals

These informations spread real fast after a while and witch hunts became so serious that at one point several communities started to think that it would be better to sacrifice them as well so maybe Eldarya could gain its full balance [the Guard of El also wanted this, just in case you were curious]

Witches would've 100% sacrificed themselfs if they got asked by the time the Blue Sacrfice happend

But after all the terror they went through, their trust was completely broken

They did not want to die for all these selfish folks wanting to murder them, not thinking about their race for a single second

So one day they completely vanished

Nobody knows how exactly, the common guess was that they opened the portal and moved to the human world, giving up on their magic

I mean everything was better than dying for your murderers

After the vanish

Of course, not all of the witches vanished, but the witch communities that lived together

Those who lived in certain places helping out stayed there

Back then the Guard of El had a witch with them too

Sadly, they got scared of her possibly gaining control over the guard, since she was very much loved... So they decided to kill her [yes, they wanted to sacrifice her, and then killed her, way to go]

The last known cristal witch was a male, living with the Fenghuangs, but he died just before The Origins' story starts

But... Are they really all gone?

Okaaaay soooo I bet there are stuff in this which doesn't exactly fit the story and/or I remember incorrectly, but it is what it is.

On the very first art you can see my OC named Chrystal. Well, she arrives to Eldarya the same way Erika did in the original story, the main difference is that she turnes out to be a cristal witch and this fact leaves the guard in a numb shock. Suddenly the only living cristal witch is with them and that is changing their situation entirely.

I am sure I will write down Chrystals story with illustratons and whatnot, but currently I am working on my Moonligh Lovers' OC's illus, so that will take some time.

Anyway, this will have another part, I wanna at least introduce Chrystal so you can see a cristal witch in action, hurray.

Appearance

Eyes: Her eyes are light blue with tiny brown specks.

Hair: Her hair is a dark brown very close to black, with white streaks scattered throughout, two falling right at the front, some back on her nape. It's straight with some wave to it. She has had it in various lengths throughout her Hogwarts years.

Height: She's a short baby - I'm bad with heights but I'd say 1,66m (5'4"ft).

• Her most prominent characteristic is her Piebaldism - that she got while her mother was pregnant and was hit by a miscast curse. It's all over her body, taking over big patches of skin, her hair and face. Her parents taught her to appreciate it and she grows to like it as it makes her look unique and stand out in the crowd.

• She likes her nails done and dark, but only starts having them long when she's older.

• She has both ears pierced and doesn't like wearing any makeup in daily life - but on special occasions, man, nobody can hold her back.

Magical Aspects

Amortentia: Bonfires - she associates the smell and sound with bonfire parties her parents used to throw -, Crisp cold air - she's a Scot who loves the cold -, Peppermint toads and spicy salsa - she might have or haven't tasted it in a certain someone's kiss.

Barnaby: Her first and best Slytherin friend, because at first they were spying on each other - Barney for Merula and Aspen for Indigo - but it goes as one might expect from these two idiots. He helps her in the Forbidden Forest and she helps him with homework. She's the only person he's truly emotional with because he knows she won't judge him. She knows he had a crush on her cousin and pushed him to ask her out.

Linda Hoàng (OC): Her best girlfriend, tiny and chubby, the cutest and quirkiest Slytherin anyone could meet. The first Slytherin female seeker in many years. A hands-on creatures lover - the one getting her hands dirty, literally. Half Vietnamese and muggle-born - yeah, nobody knows what she's doing in Slytherin.

Andre: Just as sassy as Aspen and the one to give her fashion advice. He basically takes the young Slytherin as his "apprentice" - partially afraid she would become like a mini Merula/Ismelda. He teaches her dangerous spells the teachers don't.

Ismelda: For many years they don't get along, Ismelda's humor is too dark and cruel for her taste, and she's overall very shady. That until water starts to get shaky on her and her cousins' side and they need her help. She's forced to get to know her better when she finds out Phoenix has a crush on her, and through that, she discovers they're not that different after all.

Murphy: She has a crush on him for a while, but even when that dies down, she sticks around because she loves hearing him talk about strategy and thinks he's one of the smartest people she has met in Hogwarts. They play intense chess matches.

Jae: They share the same chaotic energy so it's just natural. He's her loyal detention companion and they enjoy having walks around Hogwarts talking about nothing in particular.

Favorite Professor: Snape. She's a sassy, non-conformist, annoying Slytherin, what you want me to say?

Least Favorite: Quirinus Quirrell. He was her DADA professor for a while and she couldn't stand his stuttering, she also hated his classes.

Quidditch: She considered joining the team for the longest time but decided to pursue other passions, besides she would have to play against Indigo and other of her friends which she preferred not. She would've made a great seeker though.

Favorite Team: Montrose Magpies. Just like her family. She really excited when Indigo decided to start supporting them as well.

The last of my Silverwood family trio. Slytherin might be the house I'm least compatible with, still, I love coming up with her story and personality.

Anyways, I already somewhat posted a part of this under a post from @panyum but I wanted to post this again here. By the way, panyum, if it annoys you that I tagged you again, then I'm really sorry! And if it does, please tell me and I will stop doing it! °^°

My Oc is called Samira Iona. She's from England, but her parents moved to Hawaii when she was still like, a year old. At the age of 6 she lost her father in a storm on the sea. She also nearly drowned that day, which resulted in her developing an aquaphobia. And yes, the moment she saw the location of the Okeanos singularity she started to scream, ran away and hid inside her room, refusing to come out. Anyways, at the age of 16 she took part in a program called 'The Bright Light Project', now known as False Light Project. That's a thing in a FanFiction I want to write one day. So, the goal of that project was to digitalise (?) a holy Grail war, so not a single person had to die anymore. Obviously, that project failed. The program got corrupted, which caused the holy Grail war to become some sort of battle royal with 9 rounds. 8 for every class and a last one, which was basically a normal Grail war. The rules were simple. If you or your Servant dies, you die in the real world. A round only ends if there's only one Master Servant pair remaining. The one, who survives round 9, is allowed to wake up. Samira was the one, who ended up surviving that war and was able to "return" to the real world. Except, she wasn't human anymore. Before the program shut down, it forced her Servants spirit core inside Samira. So she became not only the survivor of an tragic accident, but she was also turned into a demi Servant. By the way, her Servant was the Caster Matchgirl aka Giselle from HC Andersens fairy tale "The little Matchgirl". It's obvious that she can't control her new found powers, so the moment she got out of her coffin, one of the staff members went up to her to try and comfort her. Samira, being an emotional wreck at this point, immediately got scared and set the poor guy on fire. In a series of... unfortunat events, she turned a big part of the building into a ruin. Later on she was found by some Mages and got send to Chaldea, in order to keep her and everyone else safe. Because when she loses control in that area, literally nobody, beside the Chaldea staff, will notice. Because she was trapped inside a simulation where basically everyone wants to see her dead in some sort of way, she feared that something similar might happen in chaldea. She even got so paranoid, that she just locked herself in her room and only went out if she needed something to eat. You could say that she used the hidden technic of "if you don't know I exist, you can't really hurt me". There were only 3 people who knew of her. Da Vinci, it would be strange if she/he wouldn't know of Sammy, Dr Romani, who usually looked after her, and Mash. Mash actually caught her, when Sammy left her room at night to get something to eat in the kitchen. This meeting turned out to be exactly what she needed. When Mash was around, Sammy was always calmer than before. Neither Marisbury nor Olga Marie knew of her, because she started to life in chaldea in the time period when neither of them was the acting director. I just realised that this is getting long so I'm trying to keep this short. At some point during the grand order, probably after Fuyuki or at the start of Orleans, Sammy would sometimes sneak away to try to control her powers. She realised, that she couldn't just stand in the background, yell out commands and do nothing. After Orleans she tries to open up to her Servants and asks some of them to help her with her control problem. The Servants she summoned up until this point are Tamamo Cat, Hessian Lobo, Astolfo and Charlie.

And now, some random headcanons!

- Samira always feels pretty cold. But if someone touches her they realise that her body is actually very warm. But not in a fever kind of way. It's more like the warmth of a nice summer day. That is something that Sammy got from becoming a demi Servant. She got her powers from the little match girl, who, for those who don't know the fairy tale, died from the cold. That's the reason why Sammy's often shivering and saying that it's cold, even though she's walking through the desert!

- The first servant she summoned was Tamamo Cat and Sammy is incredibly grateful for that. Not only is Cat the chef cook in her Chaldea, she's also Samiras most important pillar of support. Whenever she had a breakdown, she went through it alone. But the first one she had after Fuyuki was also the first one where someone was with her. Cat couldn't immediately calm her down, but it helped that she was there for her and just let Sammy cry into her shoulder.

- Sammy can't control her powers. The first time she had full control over them was during Babylonia. Before that she would set something on fire if you scared her. When Mash first met her, Sammy was so surprised and scared that she accidentally nearly burned down the kitchen.

- Even tho she's very paranoid and anxious, she's still pretty childish from time to time. After the start of the grand order she stopped sneaking into the kitchen at night. Unless someone baked cookies. She's obsessed with them and will fight everyone who even dares to look at her delicious sweets.

- You could sit her down on a chair, tell her to wait there for you, leave, return after 3 hours and she would still sit there in complete silence. When she was younger she would've already ran away the moment you let her out of your eyesight. But now? She won't move an inch.

- In my first post about her I mentioned that she has a crush on someone. That someone is the sabers servant Charlemange aka Charlie! I know, I know, he isn't in fgo, but I don't care! But I'm still waiting for him qwq
