i will never ever get over nico viewing luke as an older brother in this au like. luke is the eldest and nico the youngest of sally's unoffical kids and yet theyre the closest. the First person nico Always goes to is luke, and luke happily listens to nico. luke helps nico recover from his friend's death, helps him be happier again. and luke is the first person nico turns to after being manipulated by kronos. he knows that no matter what, even if he cant trust the rest of camp or his family, luke would always be there and always help him and then. luke sees his chance to Finally stand against the gods, after years and years of quietly tolerating their mistreatment for his family and. even though he has to betray his youngest brother, the one who always comes to HIM the one who loves him so much, he takes the chance to fight against the gods. and nico never recovers because how would he? the person he was closest to, the one who said he'd ALWAYS be there for nico, wasnt? nico was essentially the cause of luke's death, if he hadn't been manipulated by kronos, luke wouldnt have joined and died, or maybe if nico hadnt been so clingy to luke, luke wouldnt have betrayed him, and. maybe campers wouldnt stare at him with such disdain, hatred for turning luke against them and distrust for even helping kronos. and

Leo and Nico hating each other on sight isn't really canon but also everything points to it, and it's the funniest fucking thing ever.
