➸ he’d be quiet, not quite sure what to give or do for you on valentine so he’d start planning a few days ahead. he decides to make chocolate-covered strawberries for you since he knows you like them but don’t get to eat it often. when you come home in the middle of him making them, he kind of panics because you weren’t supposed to come home until a bit later. “what are you making?”, you ask innocently coming to the kitchen and when you see the chocolate and strawberries, it clicks in your head and you look at him. “it was supposed to be a surprise, i thought you were coming home later”, he says, trying to block you from seeing it. “i finished up early…but can i help you? please”, you ask and he can’t say no when you look at him like that. so, you both make it together and as you stand at the counter, dipping the strawberries in chocolate, he’s behind you, hands wrapped around your waist, his head resting on your shoulder watching you with the fondest smile on his face.

➸ he’d take out on a late-night date to watch a movie that you’ve been wanting to watch for a while now and the whole time, he’d hold your hand and he’d sneak occasional glances at you while he quietly grinned to himself. “watch the movie”, you tell, leaning to towards him. “but im watching something prettier than the movie”, he replies, making you get shy and you’d lean your head on his shoulder, covering your face at his compliment. after the movie, you’d be walking down the roadside, when he suddenly stops, coming forwards, turning to face you, holding both your hands. he looks at you like and then down, a sign he’s nervous, so you squeeze his hand gently, giving him a small smile. “what’s up, you okay?”, you ask, taking a step closer. “yeah, just…i just want you to know that I love you okay”, he says, looking at you, sincerity in his eyes. “and you mean a lot to me, and im just so glad and grateful to have you by my side y/n”, he says, before removing something from his pocket. “i got us couple rings, i wanted to get them for a while now, and i thought this would be a good time", he says with a small smile. “oh this is really sweet”, you say, trying not to tear up at his words and actions. he puts the ring on you so gently and is grinning too wide afterward, so happy, as he pulls you in for a hug that you don’t want to let go of.

➸ he takes full advantage of this day to stick by your side the whole day and literally not let you go or leave your side. he cooks breakfast for you and when you come down looking for him, the smells of pancakes is in the air. “gyu?”, you call out and he surprises you, hugging you from behind, pulling you close, his arms wrapping around your waist. “what’s all this”, you ask. “happy valentine’s day baby”, he says, kissing your cheek. and he’s probably taking this day as an excuse to get as many kisses out of you as possible haha.
