(Dark Paradise Records)

It’s hard to keep up with the output of 黃少雍 Shao-Yong Huang’s Dark Paradise Records (fb: 派樂黛唱片), but I’m enjoying the 5th electronica compilation, Mother’s Finest!  =D   

This 17-track release (bandcamp link) came out in January of this year.  Track 12 is by 三重電音宮 SanChung Electronic Kong from New Taipei City. The members are 蕭 / STL (aka 蕭勝文 + Shin-Ting Lin)

They’ve also collaborated on a few songs by singer/lyricist aivic (Aivik Neon (恩蕙)); this was posted to OOPiG YT channel in May:

OOPiG fb: 喔喔豬  They are a new indie label, also based in New Taipei City. All 7 clips at YT are aivik songs.

By the way, Dark Paradise Records newest compilation is out, called Royal Beluga.

We have received this request from people in Canada looking to translate a song into different languages. If you are interested please contact them directly. .......... My name is Mark, and I am seeking help with a UNESCO translation project. Recently in Canada, a NAMMY winning song was selected as the song for the 2019 Year of the Indigenous Language. We are seeking to get it translated into as many First Nations/Indigenous/Native American languages as possible by 22 December 2019. The artists are Inuk/Mohawk Jaaji and Metis Chelsey June from Canada. Attached is the song in translation template. Most communities are translating the sections highlighted in blue. It's possible to translate other parts or the whole song. It's ok to create your own community-specific videos. The completed translations will go onto a website for the artists,Twin Flames, as well as on UNESCO's website. Please contact me with any questions. You, of course, will work to achieve highest accuracy of meaning and mood. But you can decide which parts (Inuktitut, French, English sung and spoken) you will translate, whether your version of the song will be monolingual or multilingual, and how. One version already completed by a translator alternates between languages line by line in order to create rhyme using more than one language. Another translator only translates the sung English parts into the translator’s aboriginal language. Many translators are leaving the spoken English as English. It would be helpful for us to receive your translation with language name(s), written lyrics, and English pronunciation transcription (where script differs from Roman) no later than 07 November, 2019.
