kind of obsessed with this shot of odin and i haven't entirely figured out why yet
#space viking tag#like his face... as a still image it might read as disgust but he's actually. moving away.#he's sparing laufey's life when laufey almost seems to be challenging him not to#which makes it read more as regret#which is so so quintessentially odin. powerful bloodied indecisive and regretful.#another factor is that i KNOW i've seen both thor and loki make precisely this face at each other#AND take the same shellshocked step back#but. hmmm. i feel like. there are things to put together here which i haven't put together yet. we'll see#wait. these tags have been written non-chronologically but let's go back to laufey#and his pride in defeat as an implicit acceptance of death#loki in tdw... and odin refuses them both.....
