Luna/Me: Bobba I forgot to tell you I killed a demonic god recently.
It was that TDOH guy but oh well. :3
OG Axel: ...I don't know how but she saved me and I barely remember what happened.
*this is just an image of my character launching out of their back with OG Axel cuz OG Axel was used as the life source for TDOH, That is not blood btw that is just tomato sauce.*

Would you believe me if I told you I just realized Jon only became more human... By becoming less human?
Throughout the whole podcast, Jon's personality shines through only when he's in danger. The first time he was honest about his fears was when Jane Prentiss was basically just outside the closet he was stuck in with Martin.
Then, gradually, but only prompted by MORE danger, he speaks his mind more. His insecurities and his anxiety come out when necessary. However, the more the situation derails, the harder it is for him to remain passive to what he reads. He takes action - though the wrong type, because why would you break into a dead person's house and record yourself while doing it??? - he suspects and analyses EVERYTHING and ANYONE, and he voices his concerns outloud, though still to himself.
And finally, by the time half the archive crew is dead, Jon breaks into an emotional mess. He'd shake in place like a blender with no top if he could. He needs reassurance of what he's doing but knows he doesn't deserve it. He is constantly looking for answers and knowing he's hurting others in the process makes him hate himself, then look harder. He cares too much about the wrong things while his humanity is drained out of him. Hell, his heart stopped and he just got back to work.
In S5, Jonathan Sims becomes a person. He is a caring and funny boyfriend, a curious and intelligent mind, a badass, a friend, an ally, and an archivist... He is also The Archivist, consumer of all knowledge, destroyer of all that gets in the way of The Beholding, blah blah blah...
But he is Jon. Despite all odds, and despite everything he is told, he is himself. He gets to be himself. Sure, it took the end of the world, but at least he got to, right?

terrifying fanons tine on this radio
what if the Plant produced* the twins to keep at least one of them alive and functional as "messenger" as long as possible in case the other is treated like Tessla?
*not "consciously" like humans, of course.
(i keep hitting the wall at full speed with this story, yes)
the other option is "a single body cannot contain and execute all the necessary functions, put it in a twin form"...
mix these two guesses and suffer.

"life doesnt get better, you just get stronger" does NOT include ages 11-17. life does in fact just get better from there. those years are dogshit. like, you do get stronger but its mostly just a factor of not being 11-17 anymore. positive thinking helps but it doesnt fix whatevers going on at 15, you have to brute force through that one raw

I think the biggest downside to having animal ears and a tail would be trying to mask your discomfort in public like imagine trying to play it cool in customer service but your tail keeps bristling
