Several years ago I took a painting workshop in Bend OR and we all went to Anthony’s for dinner. The open kitchen was catnip to all the painters: I think we all left with dozens of photos of these chefs at work. I made one or two paintings from them over the years, but never could figure out exactly what I wanted to do with them. Now I’m playing around with my @carandache crayons and I think this goofy little drawing is my favorite thing I’ve done with these photos yet.
