A/N: thank you sweet anon! I know you asked for this months ago but yeah I still write for all american…just certain characters now lol. I’m also making a attempt to write for the AA homecoming characters so if anybody is interested? Stay tuned! Also the lack of gifs for this man (and Darnell) is trash and such a shame. Anyways! Here’s a little something something.

This was it.

You’ve all managed to get through high school and get those papers! No doubt south Crenshaw would always be home but it was not all that you wanted to know. You took your education pretty seriously but didn’t personally care for the pressure that came with it. Ultimately there were a few out of state colleges that you wanted to attend but you either a) didn’t get in b) didn’t receive scholarships that you applied for c) the expense would put not only you but your family in debt — which was not worth it to you.

However you still had three (or four) options: attend the community college at Golden Angeles University (GAU) that didn’t strictly offer a aerospace program but you would be alongside half of your high school friends…yet you would most likely have to major in something else and you could apply for FA, the second option—go to GAU for a few semesters then transfer over to Betula California state university (BCSU) which was your realistic dream school and you wouldn’t have to struggle to find a major (unless something changed) but it was six hours away, third option — take a leap year as a reward of simply getting through high school but you’d work the summer, or the final option? Decide not to go at all.

It was the day after graduation when you all decided to meet up again to have a bonfire at the beach. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits, lounging around having chatter, drinks on hand, dance battles by the fire, volleyball and football in the water, it was a good time like it should be without any worries in the world.

You sat in between Layla and Simone as they chatted about what Riri’s next track should sound like but you all know the music was never coming. You found yourself drifting off from the conversation as you focused on your boyfriend of two years, Chris Jackson chatting with his childhood friend Patience over the fire.

Your mind couldn’t help but flash to the disagreement the both of you had yesterday night.

“Chris, I can’t believe you would throw this on me right now when I’m trying to figure out what I want to do. Now that you’re saying this just makes this even harder, what were you thinking?” You paced your bedroom floor.

Chris furrowed his thick arched brows as he sat in your clam chair in the corner, “I was thinking that I wanted to test the waters and see if we have a future together? It sounded like a good idea to me.”

“Got it so your ass wasn’t thinking,” you widened your eyes with a snap of your fingers, “we’re still a fresh relationship and for you to just sign a lease on a apartment while expecting me to follow you like a lap dog is crazy to me.”

Chris kissed his teeth, “We are not our parents, I don’t expect you just follow my orders since I’m the man in the relationship and I’m actually offended that you think that’s what I would want you to do. It was just a suggestion and regardless it’s on me, I didn’t ask you to sign with me did I?”

Closing your eyes you deeply inhaled. Yes this was true but not really the point? You had no idea that your boyfriend was even looking for apartments especially fresh out of high school…you started to wonder what his mother thought about all of this.

“Oh my god, does Mrs. Twanda think I put you up to this? I know she isn’t exactly thrilled that her only boy wanted to up and leave out of her place? She probably wants to call me all types of heffa’s and pull my tracks out and i didn’t even do shit! It was all her son being impulsive.” You rambled pinching at your bottom lip in distress.

Chris couldn’t help but to bust out laughing at you, which automatically made you on the defense at you stomped over to him ready to fight. You placed two feet beside his thighs with him eyeing you carefully.

“I don’t think this is a good idea, whatever this is. I know how much you love this chair and I’m not going to be responsible if you break it, on god.” He pointed at your position while still looking up at you and carefully latching onto your bare ankles.

Scoffing you hunched forward gripping his collar and pressing your forehead to his, “shut up, Christopher. You’re stressing me out!”

“And you think you’re gonna yank me up with one hand, like you’re my southern grandma is gonna help? I’m type thick and might break that wrist of yours, I’m just sayin’, baby. You might wanna think this through.” Chris advised while you tilted your head at that.

You laughed, “did you forget? I’ve broken my wrist in two places before thanks to volleyball.”

Chris blinked and shifted his eyes, “exactly…?”

Ignoring him you continued, “and oh you want me to think? Like you did when you signed a lease and said hey, y/n you should live with me.”

“I mean…if it’s that big of deal just say no and it’s done.” Chris licked his lips with a shrug of his shoulders.

You twisted around, plopping down in his lap while bringing him into a headlock much to his surprise. “We can’t just say no because that’ll become a much bigger problem.”

“Uh no…we’ve said it to each other before. We ain’t no yes men or women? Around here.” Chris poked your rib for you to loosen your grip, which you flinched but didn’t falter. You had to get your point across.

Sighing you replied, “yeah but this is different. I don’t want you to resent me if I do move in…just to go off to BCSU.”

Chris wrapped his arms around your waist, finally making you release your tight hold around his neck and relax against his shoulder.

“Look…just because I’m not going off to school doesn’t mean I want you to put your goals on hold for me. I’m not tryna gatekeep you from anything, I love you too much to be that kind of an asshole, aight?” Chris was genuine with you as you stared into his ink colored eyes.

Giving him a soft smile you tilted his chin downwards so you could give him a kiss, “I love you.”

Chris caught you staring at him and sent you a gummy smile with a wink before turning back to his conversation with patience.

Another hour passed striking midnight when everyone started to pack up. Just as you finished hugging everyone goodbye, a coco brown hand wrapped around your waist pulling you back to the sand.

“Hey,” you laughed, spinning to face Chris who’s skin shined even underneath the moonlight, “what’s up?”

“Want to hang back a bit…there’s nobody here.”

Glancing around the beach, it did look pretty empty and it was a public beach so you didn’t have to worry about beach patrol kicking you out.

“I think I heard Olivia mention it might rain a little tonight…” you trailed off, eyeing the Smokey clouds beneath the Pearl moon.

Your attention was interrupted as you heard ruffling of plastic as Chris placed a cap over your head; he even tucked your hair under like a true gentleman.

Laughing you leaned your arms on his chest, “I left this in your car from last time didn’t I?”

“That you did.” He chuckled.

For what felt like eternity, the both of you stayed in each other’s grasp with nothing but the moon and black waves rolling on. You almost started to doze off until the sudden sound of thunder punched through the air, making the both of you jump. Both of you lifted your head to the sky and watched as white lightning zig-zagged through the night.

“Yeah now I think it’s time to slide,” Chris told you, “I can deal with thunder but that lightning hits different! This one time, We were at a family reunion when I was like thirteen down in Tennessee and my uncle Tremaine who came through from St. Louis got hit? It was something out of a movie! So unreal, He ended up suffering hearing and memory loss.”

Chris was always the main one to unintentionally tell you something unsettling during the event of which it could occur. You, Spencer, and Patience were always on his ass about doing this. You strongly considered shoving him into the ocean but the harsh rain that followed stopped you from doing so.

The both of you were quick on your feet, snatching your things up by the bonfire as you ran to the stairs. You were slipping up the wooden stairs with your flip flops, surely scrapping the front of your foot but Chris made sure to keep a tight hold on your hand. The both of you paused every time some lightning came through and carried on once it stopped every so often. The wind was legit pushing you as you ran that you were positive that you were floating at some point and along with the rain? It felt like you were running through the parking lot blind but the adrenaline kept the both of you moving. Eventually the both of you made it to the car, drenched and panting from it all.

The both of you sat slumped in the front of the car, watching as the rain pelted against the window shield and made it impossible to see out of. That’s when the pinging of your phones went off, signaling that you had messages in the chat with everyone checking in to see if you all made it home.

Chris did the honors of snapping a pic of you two, flash on, with you looking at him wildly and resulted in you flicking his ear which he yelped at. “Girl you need to stop assaulting me, I got delicate skin too.”

Rolling your eyes, you pressed your wet face into his hoodie as he sent the picture off to the chat. Placing the phone down he sat back for awhile before peeking at you, “we prolly should have left on time with everybody else, huh?”

All you could do was laugh in disbelief as Chris tried to hug on you and kiss your face with his wet skin but you did your best to dodge his attacks, both of your laughter drowned out by the rain.

A/N: yeah this was supposed to be out yesterday but living life was more important in the moment lol. Hope you’re all enjoying this spooky season if it’s your thing? If not…I still hope you’re enjoying this fall season then. This is a short one since I still have 2 (maybe I’ll do a bonus one to make unlucky 13 but we’ll see) more prompts I think left in my drafts that I want to get out before I take a break from writing or until inspiration flows again for me!

This was originally a prompt for Olivia but I decided to switch to spencer because he needs more love…after all is he not the main character? 😂 also this is a fuck Billy baker account—OFFICIALLY! + I watched the newest paranormal activity last night so you may see a touch of inspiration from that in here.

You were being fake.

Faker than hell, except hell was not fake. (Depending on who you asked but whatever) You were positive about that since you’ve seen some things…back when you would spend time with your grandparents in Pennsylvania. Long story short about that? You always thought Pennsylvania was eerie whenever you visited and that didn’t help your suspicions since your grandparents lived close by a Amish community.

You meant no harm on your judgments about the community but one tale about a family in particular didn’t sit right with you.

Let’s just say that.

See, your friends had set favorite holidays: Layla and Simone loved Valentine’s Day, Jordan and JJ both loved April Fool’s day, Kia loved black history month, Coop and Patience loved Thanksgiving, You and Olivia shared the same love for Christmas, Darnell always boasted about news year eve, and lastly and surprisingly Spencer, Asher, and Chris all shared the same love for Halloween.

It was their fault this whole halloweekend trip was a disaster…at least in your eyes. Spencer brought up the idea to you first and you tried to play it off that you were listening while you actually Dissociated from the conversation once: touring a haunted place was brought to the table! Spencer picked up on the vague responses almost immediately but waited to address that.

“Black people don’t be doing this shit and it’s safe to say we’ve done had enough fear in our lives,” Patience started with her arms crossed, “but…it is spooky season and we deserve some fun.”

And here you thought the curly headed girl would be on your side. Or at least Simone and Kia but nooo with very little persuasion they were on board too! Layla was already looking up places and writing down suggestions that Asher already began researching but Chris kept shutting everyone of them down.

“Why not just go to Hollywood Horror nights for a night?” You spoke up while your group of friends fell into easy conversations of excitement.

Olivia hummed, “We did that last year, y/n.”

Shit you did? You must have been so triggered from the last experience that you forgot all about that.

Spencer wrapped an arm around your waist bringing your frame close to his, ready to question what was up but Layla suddenly stood up with a grin and a notepad?

“I’ve got it, I know this perfect place where we don’t even have to leave the state. I can’t believe I forgot!” She bounced on her toes.

Chris waved his hands around, “well spit it out girl, what is it?”

Which made Olivia flick her boyfriend’s ear who failed to dodge her attack and complained at her action.

“It’s this haunted hotel in the outskirts of California. Its definitely driving distance, a good hour or two tops. My dad knows the owner of the place quite well so I’m sure he’ll give us a nice discount to stay for a night or two or however long we want.” Layla informed.

Darnell shrugged, “I’m with anything if there’s a good bargain price.”

Chris gave the boy some dap in agreement while Coop should her head at them, a laugh flying past her lips as she mumbled up to Patience, “broke boys United.”

“Yo, whatcha one hit wonder ass say?” Chris was on her ass and before any bickering could start, Spencer let out a whistle to shut everybody up.

The group turned to Spencer who moved his arm from across your waist to lean against his knees, “Layla, thanks for the recommendation. Let’s make it happen, we’re three days away from the weekend and I know this is probably pushing it since places get booked fast.”

Layla fanned her hand as she reached into her back pocket to grab her phone, “oh please, Bram loves me, he’s never too busy.”

“Did you say bram as in the same name as that doll movie,” Jordan asked just before he tossed some m&m’s into his mouth.

Layla already stepped away, phone pressed to her ear, with her business woman voice on as everyone fell into chatter again.

“Are you good?” Spencer nudged your shoulder to get your attention.

You immediately nodded, “yeah, great. Never better!”

That was a lie.

Which is why it’s always important to be honest even if the truth hurts or someone can’t handle the truth. Maybe if you were honest, you currently wouldn’t be losing your mind right now in this hotel room with Spencer.

You had your arms and legs attached to his back, clinging to him the minute the room went completely dark. This blackout made you feel as if your heart was trapped in your throat instead of your chest.

“Don’t tell me you’re afraid of the dark?” You could feel the smirk in Spencer’s voice, as he held onto you with ease.

You huffed squeezing your arms tighter around his throat, “shut up, you. What the hell is happening?”

“It’s probably part of the haunt experience? They did give us walkies and night vision goggles.” Spencer said just as the hotel door slowly creaked open.

In that moment you almost forgot how to breathe.

When you first settled into your room for the evening, after having a welcome dinner in this large ballroom-like area, each guest would be locked into their rooms until the big event occurred.

“Guess that means it’s show time,” Spencer moved his hands from underneath your thighs to rub his hands together.

You hopped down from his frame as Spencer moved around the room grabbing the correct equipment. While you stayed close to the window just in case you suddenly have to turn into catwoman and leap from the room, with or without Spencer at this point.

He did the honors of slipping the goggles against your forehead, leaving you to slip them on if you chose and handing you a walkie. He then moved his fingers through the dark in search of your face, “you know I gotchu right? Nothing bad will happen to you as long as you stick by me.”

“What if that’s what this place wants you to think? What if they purposely try to separate us then what? This could all go wrong like those horror movies I desperately hate.” You sighed as you felt Spencer place his forehead against yours, followed by a caress to your cheek.

He said next, “then I guess it was fun while it lasted then, hm?”

And that’s when you shoved him as he let out a laugh.

“I’m just playin’, damn, if you were this scared then you should of said something. I had a feeling you weren’t really vibing with this too.”

You scowled, “and be the only loser left out on this? I don’t think so.”

“I mean…I don’t think anybody would have clowned you that hard if you wanted to sit this one out. At least, I wouldn’t let them to do that to you, baby.” Spencer gripped your forearms, rubbing them gently.

You took a deep breath before listening to light patter of footsteps in the hallway followed by some familiar voices that most likely belonged to your friends.

“If I die tonight—

“You’re not gonna die, y/n.” Spencer interrupted you.

You continued as if you didn’t even hear him, “my soul shall forever haunt this place, you, and each of our crazy ass friends.”

“I see vengeance is one your…traits.” Spencer chose his words carefully.

You smiled in the dark, “you got it! so don’t ever think about breaking my heart.”

Walking forward you could tell Spencer was watching as he slipped on his goggles, his vision illuminated in pale green. He wouldn’t dream of it and before he could tell you that, a knock on the side of the wall sent you falling onto the floor, right on your ass along with a scream ripping past your lips.

Spencer balled up his fist to cover his laughs as he went over to help you up.

“Damn y/n, it’s just me.” Simone commented with her own goggles on, “I was just coming to get you guys so we can all stay together while we walk through each floor.”

Now that plan? Made perfect sense.

It has become one of my top favorite shows. If you’re unfamiliar with the show it’s a sport filled series mixed with high school characters trying to navigate through life and build their futures. A/N: attempting to write these prompts early since I’m going to have more hours at work for the holiday season and will rarely be in the mood to write, this I already know. I’m currently NOT taking requests (besides this one since Jordan is one of the characters I like writing for) for these prompts and won’t be doing second parts for anything that maybe released. It’s best for me not to do that since they never perform as well as the first and it also holds up the list I am following that I already have for characters. Thanks in advance and I hope you enjoy these next wip.

Patience was throwing a pre-Christmas party at this rented out hall since she strongly pointed out that you all needed a change of scenery. The parties were normally thrown at The Bakers, Layla’s, or even JJ’s so to be somewhere else was nice for a change. It seemed as if all was going right for the friends around this holiday season and you couldn’t be more than thrilled.

Your eyes were full of light as you kept a grip around the clear plastic tumbler covered in white snow flakes filled with eggnog while you watched your friends blend in. It was a joy to see everyone appear to be jolly with Chris failing to keep up with the high notes of The Jackson Five’s, “I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” and Kia was right beside him plugging one of her ears although she seemed to be singing herself, Darnell was on DJ duty booing him, Patience made her way over from her spot beside Asher and Layla—snatching the mic from Chris’ hands and made a motion for Darnell to switch the soundtrack, which then made Asher and Layla actually start dancing together completely off beat, and you heard Olivia’s laugh echo off the walls as she leaned into Spencer while Coop stood right by them plate in her hand and a smug look on her face.

“You wrong for that coop,” you heard Spencer say from over the music as Olivia rested her whole body on him in a full on laughing fit.

You went to bring the eggnog—that you didn’t particularly care for back up to your lips when you felt something over you. Next the scent of cedar wood, fresh cut grass, and musk engulfed your nostrils and immediately you felt a body pressing up from behind.

“Uh oh.” Jordan started, as you automatically lifted your head to see greenery wrapped in red ribbon above your head.

A smile appeared on your lips as you breathed out a laugh, “mistletoe, Jordan, really?”

He moved from behind you to face you while still holding a large arm above your heads. The golden skinned boy nodded his head rapidly with a proud smile on his own lips.

“Pucker up, sweetheart.”

You kept your eyes on the plant above and blinked, “is this real?”

“Oh it’s definitely real and you have no idea what I had to go through to get it.” Jordan added before tapping his lips with his free hand.

You snorted, “was this your idea?” You asked stepping closer to him.

Again he nodded proudly, “…well my dad helped me find this. We know our women—that sounds really gross now that I really think about it…” he shudders before continuing, “love random kisses so I thought why not use this Christmas season to amplify that?”

Now that was cute, you both loved each other’s lips so much and ever sense December started…let’s just say everyone’s felt the need to ask if your lips were doing okay.

Standing on you tippy toes you tossed a arm across Jordan’s shoulders pulling his lips down onto your already healing ones. Jordan melted into your frame, a instant smile formed onto his lips as his fingertips caressed your jaw. Your shared kisses always made your body feel warm with delight and although the both of you could be corny—that’s what love did for you two. Maybe you were worst than Spencer and Olivia who playfully scowled and gagged at you two on their way by as they danced together.

When you pulled back you stared up into Jordan’s dark eyes to see nothing but adoration and you were sure yours held the same. Standing flat on your feet you plucked the mistletoe from the eighteen year old’s hands and smiled down at the plant with a shake of your head.

“It’s mine turn now, baby.” You winked at Jordan before you spun on your heels to engage with the rest of your friends.

However Jordan had other plans on his mind as he raced after you with a belly laugh.

PLASTIC HEARTS — ALL

Synopsis: what the characters are like in the mornings since I’m currently writing this at midnight lol + I feel like ask memes are really underrated and they’re quick to write so I’m open to those too amongst the 100 of other things I have on my list/have yet to write (typical writing probs lol)

Jordan: I feel like with Jordan is either 50/50 with him. If he has to be up pertaining to football then he’s up and determined! it might take him like 2-5 mins more extra in bed to fully get up if his parents (more so billy) don’t drag him out of bed but he still manages to get up and function somehow. If he’s partying the night before then that’s a different story, he’s always hungover and feeling that shit the next morning so he’ll move super slow and will be late to class/grumpy as hell. He’s either happy and functioning well making sure he’s getting a meal regardless if he’s in a good mood in the morning or not cause the boy likes to EAT (just like Michael’s ass) + if there’s no food at the house best believe he’s cruising to a cafe to get him a meal before heading to boredom high—I mean Beverly

If he’s in a crap mood then he’s mean to everyone in his path. It’s best to leave him alone and let him sulk in his corner until he’s out of his grumpy mood which he does get out of...eventually after arguing with someone or snapping on them, taking a nap in the back of class, or after football practice.

Olivia: I’m squinting as I’m thinking this over. I don’t really think she’s a morning person? but she sets her alarm for herself and can get up in the morning without the help of her parents unlike Jordan lol. She is the type to set her alarm ten minutes before she actually has to get up so she can get extra time in the comfort of her bed. It takes the girl some time to get ready in the morning okay? Have you seen her hair? It takes time to get it right for how she wants it and she always says she should pick her outfits the night before but she always seems to get side tracked so that never happens which also takes up more of her time. Eventually she almost always makes it downstairs before Jordan does. They DON’T ride to school together, hardly, unless one of them has a issue with their car or something but they’re usually doing their own thing but have some sort of conversation in the morning over breakfast—trying to build the closeness of their relationship back

Liv likes to be on time if she can or just right on time, either or. And if things come up, then she’s a little anxious which she normally is until she’s meeting up with someone she can hold a conversation with. Half of the time there’s no need to be anxious? It’s just there and she hates it despite the lonerism she found herself in

Spencer: I think Spencer can be a light sleeper since he’s used to some sort of noise going on in his house. Plus his room is in the center of where the noise will take place. If it’s too quiet, like it usual was at the baker’s he finds it a little hard to sleep all the way? There has to be something going on for him to fully sleep like the light noise of tv? Or a sound machine. James said he was the same way as a baby, always alert. So when he wakes up in the morning, he always lets out a soft sigh closing his eyes letting the alarm go off for a few more seconds before he smacking it off. He has to get in the shower to fully wake him up tho. If he doesn’t take a shower in the morning then he’s not fully up and if he doesn’t take a shower at night, he knows he’s not going to sleep well either.

If he has to walk Dillon to school, then he doesn’t mind being late. Now that Dillon is getting older he doesn’t mind walking on his own or with a friend or two but being the protector that Spencer is, he’s going to try his best to make time for Dillon no matter what and the boy secretly appreciates it but understands now if it can’t be all the time. Spencer doesn’t have his license so he’s either catching the bus (if he was still going to Beverly, Jordan or Liv would scoop him up ofc) or speed walking to school which he seems to make just in time?? Always.

Layla: I always view her as someone so chipper. She IS a morning person (unless the depression is hitting her hard, some of us have those days) and usually has it together. She’s a big planner and if she doesn’t continue with being a producer like her dad in the future, I can see her being a event planner big time. Anyways she’s usually very organized, outfits steamed and hung up for the week, weekly calendars and reminders in her phone. Alarm’s set since she’s the only one in the house and only has herself to depend on. I feel she does take a lot on her plate for a teenager so she tries her best to follow a routine/schedule most of the time. Wake up. Stretch. Slippers. Robe. She does not check her phone until after she is done taking care of herself! Brush teeth. Shower. Skincare. Get dressed. Does hair. Checks phone on her way downstairs to breakfast. Layla is a açaí bowl or oatmeal kinda girl, fight amongst yourselves. I see it. I manifest it. She always has to have her hands in something and when it comes to breakfast and baking, you can count on her to always make something. It became something she loved since her mom and her always did that together. And she often likes taking the long way to school and the long way back home.

Asher: not a morning person. Never on time unless it’s for football on Saturday mornings. he’s a cereal kinda guy since his dad can’t afford a professional chef anymore. His favorite cereal is probably Rice Krispies with strawberries and wh*le milk or cashew milk if he remembers to buy it from the grocery app. I feel like he would eventually have to get a job his senior year since it’s kind of a struggle with his dad settling into his new job. It’s a big adjustment with his parents divorced and although his mom still slips him money when he see’s her every other weekend, he’s more tired than he ever was before. He’s used to sleeping in cars if he’s not in a king sized bed but can pretty much sleep everywhere. He can sleep through anything and always has multiple loud ass alarms to wake him up since his dad is either gone before he wakes up like before or just about to leave for his new job. He never bothers to wake him anyways. Asher is a grumpy grouch in the mornings and is addicted to ice coffees and loves a good pastry if he can’t have himself some cereal in the morning.

He’s also annoyed if he doesn’t get his cartoon’s in too before school. Don’t bother him until mid-morning, early afternoon if you know what’s good for you.

Coop: if she’s something else when she’s angry what do you think she’s like in the mornings? Annoying either way? Probably lmao. She’s probably a talker in the morning expressing some wild ass dream she had or either how she had a sucky night and couldn’t sleep properly so she was up writing a new song or something. Since she’s dropping out of school, her mornings could probably start later around 11am? Unless her mother is still home and making her get out of bed to run errands with her or clean the house while she’s gone for the day? Either way she’s probably dancing, talking your head off, blasting music as she gets ready, or browsing Twitter as her form of “morning news”

Chris: I get night owl vibes from Chris. Which is more difficult to do in high school, whew! He has to use melatonin spray or cream to help him knock out and if it fully doesn’t help, he’s dragging the next morning once he fully crashes. Sometimes it can be a good morning or it can be a sucky one. Due to his injury, he gets occasional pain in his joints which he keeps a secret from mostly everyone from his team since they were only described as spasms from his doctor. He deals with it even if it freaks him out from time to time. If it’s a sucky morning, he has to wake himself up with a splash of water to the face and then tending to the pain in his joints before carrying on about his day.

I do think he’s on his phone a lot. Before bed, actually watching soothing videos to help him knock out—don’t tell anybody that and then checking his phone again when he wakes up. Which is apparently unhealthy for the mind but hey with technology continuing to take over, what can you do?

Patience: the girl doesn’t care if she’s late or early. All that matters is trying to get through the day. She’s not crazy about getting up early to sit in 7-8 classes a day but if she’s got to do it, then she’s going to take her time. She wasn’t named “Patience” for no reason okay? When it comes to her appearance, she’s going to make sure she puts in the effort because if she looks good then she feels good and can go about her day. Most of the time she takes a quick breakfast with her on her bus ride to school (thanks to her hair not doing what she wanted it to) and then if there’s time heads to the cafeteria to get whatever they’re serving for breakfast there. At least that’s better than the lunch they serve there.

JJ: total morning person! Or if he’s not? You can never tell. The guys always in the best mood. Even if he was out partying and doing too much the night before, the dude is never hungover. Everyone wants to know his secret. And when he tells them, they don’t believe it. He’s usually a slob of a eater but he also knows how to take care of his body and all about his protein shakes and juicing. He definitely has a meal plan that he takes the time to post on his Instagram stories. The guy loves Instagram and is always posting there. If you need positive words of affirmations, JJ is your guy. Simone: she hates mornings and thinks it’s cruel to be up five days of the week for. If she physically feels like she can’t get up due to intense studying or up binge watching real housewives or whatever, she knows it the night before and puts her plan into motion the next morning. Her parents are usually always on her ass, especially her mom so it takes a lot of persuading to let her stay home. And it still doesn’t feel like a free day because her mom is checking up on her every hour on the dot from work. She makes it feel like Simone should have just went to school. If the answer is, “there’s nothing wrong with you, you’re going.” Then Simone is definitely in a sour mood. Her dad almost always drives her to school and she checks up on her son every day through socials if she doesn’t message his second mother. Simone’s also not much of a breakfast person but if her dad is making her eat they’re stopping somewhere before he drops her off or encouraging her to take some of whatever dish he made before they leave.

Now? If there’s something on her mind? Then she’s active and stressing over it before she’s talking to someone about it. She’s out getting a light jog on around her gated neighborhood (she’s getting her fitness game back up after deciding to take tennis seriously again) before showering and getting back into bed for at least thirty minutes to forty five before she has to be up for school. Worries erased for now.

Darnell: is a morning person even if he grumbles that he doesn’t care for it. He’s a sunset kinda guy not a sunrise. It’s not much of a issue for him to get up and start the day with a long exaggerated sigh. He’s not as talkative but get something in his belly and he’s bringing up some interesting facts or news about what’s going on with certain celebrities he keeps up with. I also feel like he knows how to cook and breakfast isn’t his speciality but lunch foods are? Grits, eggs, bacon, and jam on toast is his fav thing to eat for breakfast with apple juice. That’s right, apple juice over orange juice no matter what Spence and dil have to say.

His version of appetizers (which are too big of portions but to each their own) are his go to make for lunch. For breakfast if he can’t have his fav meal in the late morning, he always eats light since he says his stomach is too sensitive in the mornings which has been proven to be true...The James’ can vouch for that

Kia: again 50/50. Depends on her night. She’s also someone who is very active in clubs so it all depends when she gets home and how fast she can get things done at home before she can crash. Sometimes she takes a lot on as well but she thrives off it? It makes her feel productive but she also knows how to balance and have free time when she wants to. Her breakfast always consists of fruit, she loves her fruit. And even if she finds herself running late then she quickly adjusts and cuts out what needs to be cut out of her morning routine and get where she needs to be making herself have the time. Which can be good or bad, depends on how you look at it. Kia is great at handling whatever is thrown at her it seems!

Vanessa: Morning person after she’s fully awake lol. Hates how she looks in the morning, thinks her face is too puffy and definitely uses a jade roller no matter what to help. Her mom is always on her ass + she’s a coach so just imagine that on top while struggling to get up. However once she’s settled, she gets this burst of energy—coach montes believes it’s “the vitamins” and “always eating properly” but the small girl always seemed to get random bursts of energy throughout the day no matter the circumstance. loves a food bagel or pastry for breakfast with orange juice or water, either is fine. She especially loves sunny mornings in California, it just makes her feel better—as it should. She even thanks the sun when it greets her face. Which is something she used to do as a kid too.

HEARTBREAK ANNIVERSARY | J. BAKER

a/n: this is finally part 2 to “love blind” although I had a alternative version to it saved in my drafts for weeks. I just wanted to dive right into the scene with inspiration from this week’s episode! I may or may not release the alternative version if I ever decide to go back and finish it that is. Here’s option 2!

Also s/o to my crap gif quality lol! + I’m not writing any else until Friday or the weekend but I have some ideas in the works or I might hold off until after the new episode on Monday. We’ll see!

Del and Jordan were at each other’s throats since he came back from the store with JJ, Simone, Asher, and Vanessa. Big bear was gorgeous and the Californians were not used to the snow and wanted to enjoy all that it was. The main mission of coming up here for part of the winter break is to relax and enjoy each other’s companies but Del wasn’t that optimistic about this whole magical idea Layla had from the jump.

The Pakistani girl knew how to keep her distance and remain unbothered yet Jordan just knew how to get under her skin. No matter how hard she tried to brush off the comments made under his breath, she was going to snap sooner than later if he kept pushing her. They were all seated around the bonfire, something strong in their mugs...except for Olivia who apparently had Simone’s famous hot coco in her’s as they sat around playing never have I ever.

This was Vanessa’s idea and it was also her idea to invite Cam, Dane, AND Jeff? Jake? Well one of the dude’s Delphine hooked up with from Beverly High’s revival school over, running into them at the grocery store in the small town here. This girl was also for pushing these agendas and bright idea’s much like Layla, however Delphine liked Layla—sometimes whereas she wanted nothing to do with Vanessa.

“Never have I ever said I love you to get into someone’s pants without meaning it?” Vanessa stated, her eyes curious as she glanced at everyone in the circle her stare lingering on Delphine, Asher, and Olivia’s.

Asher, JJ, Cam, Dane, JED, Chris, and Jordan all took a sip. The boys all shared a look with each other, bashful smiles on their lips after they took a swallowed.

“You’re all whores!” Patience rasped, jokingly.

Dane pressed his elbows into his knees unapologetically, “a man’s gotta do what he’s gotta do to get some. I’m sure most of you females are being too embarrassed to own that.”

Vanessa tilted her head to the side at that. Delphine was too busy rolling her neck around trying to release any tension there since she was slowly but surely starting to feel the aftermath of sitting in a car balled up for a few hours on her body. She checked her phone to see that it was 12:31 am and let out a low yawn before she looked up to see some eyes on her.

She blinked, “can I help you?” She directed this at the eyes that drilled holes into her.

“I noticed you didn’t take a sip.” Jed was the first to answer before Dane or Vanessa could say anything.

Delphine molded her lips together with a raised brow before she answered, “yeah so?”

“Definitely would have thought you’d be the main girl here to take a sip.” Jed boldly said what some were thinking.

Scoffing Delphine fanned her hand at the boy, “oh I know what this is, you’re in your feelings because I didn’t text you back? Sorry that I wasn’t interested in something long term with you, it was just a one night stand. Get over it, Jeff.”

Dane and Cam both shared a snicker at that while their buddy was clearly in his feelings over this.

“It’s Jed.” He corrected, “and it’s clear you have issues.” It was clear he was upset over the whole ordeal that Delphine couldn’t bother to remember.

“Whoa, whoa. What’s all this gaining up on Del for?” Olivia jumped to her best friends defense while Del we just used to the same bullshit.

However she didn’t have to take it but she knew what required her energy and what didn’t. This Jed guy didn’t.

“We’re just playing the game and people have the right to ask questions, right? To get to know each other better?” Vanessa added making Olivia and Delphine side eye her.

Spencer spoke, “well some things should be discussed in private not put on blast, ya know?”

“Thank you!” Olivia agreed.

Asher snorted at that, earning a look from Olivia but all he did was sip from his cup and look elsewhere.

Coop let out a low whistle as the circle got quiet for a moment. Dane yelled out another statement to continue the game but the damage was slowly rising with each passing moment.

“Never have I ever had a threesome!”

Cam and JJ were the only two to take a sip with Jordan nudging JJ, knowing of the story and almost witnessing it go down.

“Okay, can we ask some questions that aren’t strictly about sex?” Simone suggested.

Dane laughed, “why? is it bothering you? Making you uncomfortable that your sexual experiences continue to be nothing but boring.” He chuckled with Cam who smirked.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Simone hissed, sitting up straight in her chair.

Jordan placed his hand on Simone’s knee as he turned to Dane, “look I’m only going to tell you this one last time, we’re trying to be cordial with you guys but you’re overstepping. So I suggest you shut your mouths and respect what’s being said or I’m gonna ask all of you to leave cause frankly you’re not a guest here at all.”

“Ooo, I’m shaking in my boots. Don’t be upset with me because you’ve proven that you’re less than a man.” Dane was clearly tipsy but that never stopped him from running his mouth.

Delphine was annoyed at this point. She didn’t want to hear this constant beef with any of the boys here. It was exhausting and...stupid.

“You want to talk about what makes a man but you’re the only one here who couldn’t step up and claim your kid so you get off on calling the girl you slept with out of her name to make yourself feel better. Sounds like to me you’re the definition of a bitch.” Jordan announced, turning the heat up in here.

Chris and Coop had to give it Jordan, he always had the talk to match the hands if it got to that point. And if you messed with someone he cared about, there was no stopping what he wanted to say to you. Delphine also knew that very well.

“Why don’t you say that to my face then?” Dane pressed his elbows into his knees, heat in Jordan’s direction. It was evident Dane didn’t like to be put on the spot in front of people especially when the other was getting the best of him.

Jordan smiled and held his hands out, “I believe I just did. I’m looking right at you, bro.”

Dane rubbed at his face nodding his head, “aight keep talking and see what happens. you sure have a lot to say about a—

“I’m warning you, don’t finish the rest of that sentence.” Jordan cut him off.

Dane loved to instigate and opened his mouth to say more but it was actually Cam who gripped his shoulder to halt him further. Dane glanced at the hand on his shoulder in question at the confrontation was silenced for a few pauses.

“Should we keep playin’ or....?” Coop asked, digging the bottom half of her face into her puff jacket.

Layla looked uncomfortable at this, “I don’t know, I think we should probably wrap it up and get inside? It is getting kinda late.”

“Aw, c’mon I still wanted to hear the dirt on some of you guys!” JJ pouted a bit, “you know what I always say, the party doesn’t stop until the sun comes up!”

Delphine pressed her earmuffs closer over her ears as she replied, “as fun as this is, I’m over listening to Keenan and kel start shit with everyone. That’s basically why they’re here and I think mike wazowski did this deliberately.”

“Excuse me?” Vanessa was offended as she met Delphine’s eyes, “literally all I did was invite more people to the bonfire to get to know everyone better.”

“Yeah, you keep saying that.” Olivia muttered.

Delphine crossed one leg over the other, “sure but did you ask everyone, Layla maybe? if it was okay to invite them here when we’re not even friends with them or YOU for that matter?”

“That was uncalled for, Delphine.” Asher spoke up.

“Yes,” Layla concurred, “and I don’t like for anyone to feel unwelcomed, you know that, Del.” Layla expressed.

“And I asked if Vanessa can come.” JJ added.

Delphine rolled her eyes as she replied sarcastically, “well that about settles it then? We just invite anyone to this shit? Why don’t we ask the Blair witch or Goldilocks and the three bears to pull up too?!”

“I’m not just anyone, I’m Vanessa.”

Delphine widened her eyes at this, confused, “Is that supposed to mean something to me?”

Vanessa looked up at the sky annoyed before she continued, “if you all weren’t so territorial with each other maybe you would learn to let other people in and stop giving everyone else the third degree. It’s like you all don’t realize the inner issues you have with yourselves and each other so you pick fights with anyone else instead of solving your own bullshit. It’s just fraudulent.”

“Girl, gon. nobody asked for that psychoanalysis.” Patience bit at Vanessa who nodded her head.

“You’re proving my point, ya know.” She pointed.

“...I mean she’s right.” Asher slowly approved.

Olivia clasped her hands together, “of course she is! How about this, never have I ever spent too much time with someone else’s boyfriend that you don’t realize or either you don’t care that you’re butting into the relationship.”

Delphine was smug as she kept her gaze right on Vanessa who immediately dropped her head. It was about time Olivia called them out on this shit.

“Liv.” Asher addressed his girlfriend beside him, leaning towards her as he tried to keep his voice leveled and find out what to say next but he was stunned.

Olivia glared at Asher for a bit but burned holes into Vanessa who fell silent, “what? Now you don’t have anything to say? What a miracle that took! I’m going to bed.”

Jordan shortly followed after his sister, knowing that he didn’t want to be in Dane’s presence any longer but to also check on his twin. Far as he was concerned, this little event was now over.

“What is she talking about?” JJ decided to ask.

And Layla let the cat right out of the bag, “she saw you two in Mexico together.”

“What?” Asher breathed.

Del couldn’t believe Layla felt it was her place to further deliver the news for their friend.

“Yup,” Layla rubbed her hands against her pants legs, “she went to surprise you and caught the two of you instead on the beach.”

Asher rubbed at his face in disbelief while Vanessa sunk back in her chair.

“And yet you want to talk about fraudulent, tuh.” Patience commented before getting to her feet and pulling Coop up with her, “Good night y’all, I’ve had enough.”

“Good night.” Simone and Layla chorused while Coop gave a small awkward wave.

Spencer was now staring at both Vanessa and Asher, although he already knew the tea. He wanted to know what the two had to say for themselves, especially since Olivia was continuing to burry anything that bothered her.

“...You and Asher?” JJ breathed, highly disappointed, “the two of you could have least said something so Olivia and I wouldn’t have looked like idiots.”

Delphine immediately shook her head, “no JJ, you shouldn’t feel like shit. These two knew exactly what they were doing and now that their skeletons came to light, they’re the ones looking pretty dumb to me right now.”

“You know what Delphine, you’re the last person that should be sitting here acting all mighty and judging us right now.” Asher was mad and when he was mad, he was going to take it out on the nearest person next to him.

Delphine quirked up a brow and tilted her head to the side, beckoning Asher to say what was on his chest. It was about time he said something instead of hiding shit or whining about his problems instead of doing something about them.

“You’re no better than anyone here.” Asher argued, “you think you have it so bad that you do shit too in the dark not understanding that it messes with other people too. You don’t think your actions have consequences? You don’t get how it makes you look?”

Delphine let out a belly laugh before she sat up straight, “here’s the thing, Asher. You and I were never friends, you’re just there and I’m over here. So nothing you can say to me will ever hurt my feelings because...who are you to me? so you won’t ever get to know what I’m about, you see what you want to see and i don’t ever give a fuck about what you or anyone else thinks about me. I learned that the hard way, I live for me and me only. Not for anyone else’s opinions about who and what I should be. so yeah, I’m judging the shit out of you just like you’ve done to me since we met.”

Vanessa was all frowns as she looked at Asher to say something more. To fight back, to be the confident and bold Asher that she met over the summer. But it was clear Asher was a whole different and defeated person back here in California. She wanted to say something for him, like she commonly felt like she needed to do. Yet she didn’t know any of these people and she could tell that she was barking up the wrong tree here. However a part of her felt like she was never going to water down who she was for anyone either. In this moment she decided to not say a word and let it go because after all, Vanessa would learn and find her place soon.

It was Delphine who finalized this bonfire being over, as she made her exit with no words left for anyone. She flipped her poncho over her shoulder and walked off, leaving everyone else to decide for themselves what they wanted to do. Delphine always knew what she wanted so when she was done, she was done. Simone couldn’t help but to watch the girl in curiosity, the two never held a conversation together but the natural haired girl could tell that Delphine had a lot to say to her but Simone would not be the first to say something although she wanted to.

Now probably wouldn’t be a good time but by what Del said to Asher, Simone seemed to get a better understanding herself about Delphine Wateridge...

It was pushing 6 am when Delphine found herself in the kitchen, sitting at the island while staring out the large windows at the frosted mountains. It was surprising for her to not have a phone sitting right in front of her or to be up this early. However she was used to being woken up this early since her parents would be praying and it was something she used to participate in when she was younger. There was a shift in not only herself as a person but her parents too as the years went on, she noticed they stopped rising to pray too and the dynamic between her parents was off. Just like a lot of things in her lifetime...

“Sorry cruella, didn’t think you’d be awake.” Jordan croaked as he entered the kitchen, flicking on some lights that made Del squeeze her eyes shut a bit.

Del pursed her lips and shrugged her shoulders.

Jordan pulled out a pitcher of orange juice shocked, “what? No shit talking from the ice queen herself, This morning? C’mon!”

“Is this what it’s going to be like until we finally separate and go to college or wherever we end up?” Del asked, playing with the rings on her fingers.

Jordan leaned against the island taking a sip as he thought about it, “dunno...we don’t have crystal balls thrown in any of suitcases do we?”

“I wish we did...might make things easier by being around you.” Del ran her fingers through her tangled bed-hair.

Jordan rubbed at his eyes, “...didn’t take you as someone who wants to get a glimpse of the future while we’re here in the present.”

“Well Jordan, I don’t know about you but... this life thing is pretty exhausting right now. And not just last night made me realize that.” Del let out a humorless laugh as she was honest with him, almost as if they were two old friends again.

Jordan felt a part of him wanted to be concerned by that statement but he couldn’t fully allow himself to. He kept his eyes on Del while she looked anywhere but at him. She was being vulnerable with him right now and that was something he hadn’t seen from her in awhile. Delphine built a wall around herself, that much was evident...and although they were no longer friends, Jordan knew this was not who she used to be.

Simone told him what Asher said to Delphine in front of everyone and honestly he wanted to choke-slam Asher but knew he would not. That would show that he still cared. And that he did not. Or say he says...

“The whole shift in our friendship, what happened with me and that asshole, how I chose to live my life now...I mean it is what is but this place hasn’t made me feel at ease yet. I don’t think anything will, it’s like something is missing but you keep trying to fill it up with pointless shit ya know?” Delphine vented.

Jordan slowly nodded his head and molded his lips together. He got that but he was so angry and hurt at what they became he decided to say the wrong thing, “okay...I don’t know what you want me to say or do about that but this has nothing to do with me. It’s like what you said to the Jed guy you hooked up with, you have to move on.”

“Woooow,” Delphine should have believed her ears but she tried to take a different approach at dealing with Jordan by being honest and this is what he came up with, “I’m not the only one that’s here to blame, Jordan.”

Jordan furrowed his brows, “you’re just looking to point the finger and I’m not going to be your punching bag. That’s one of the reasons I removed myself out of your life, to do the both of us a favor.”

“You know what Jordan, fine.” Delphine pinched the now building tension at her temples.

“Fine?” Jordan asked more than concluded.

“I’m sick of this, so fuck you.” Delphine slammed her hands down on the counter as she scrapped the stool back that she was sitting on.

Jordan pointed at his chest, “fuck me?! How dare you, Delly. We haven’t seen eye to eye in months and now you decide everything is peachy by sitting here feeling sorry for yourself. As if I want to hear this? As if I don’t have a girlfriend up stairs that I care about.”

Delphine stared at Jordan incredulously, “where the hell is the correlation in that?!” She screamed, sure now that someone in the house was awake. “I don’t know why I thought I could attempt to clear up the air with you, when you have your head buried so far up your own ass, that you can just continue your life on like it’s okay to not give a single shit! about the one person that’s always been by your side, no matter what, even when you continued to hurt me.”

“And what?! You dont think you ever shitted on me?” Jordan yelled back.

Delphine shook her head from side to the side, “that’s the difference between you and I, Jordan! I always acknowledged the fact whenever I did because I know how to apologize! I always knew how to tend to your needs over mine because if it isn’t Jordan’s way then the end of the world will demolish by your hands! I mean fuck, Look at what it’s done to us because of your stubbornness.”

“So what? now you’re telling me I’m a bad person because I have feelings too?” Jordan didn’t understand what Delphine was getting at.

Delphine rolled her eyes, “I never said you were a bad person, I’m saying you had times when you weren’t the best friend to have around. I never made you feel like your feelings weren’t valid. Ever. You made me feel like mine weren’t because I was in love with you, you had to have known that and you loved me too but it wasn’t enough.”

Jordan went silent at that not sure how to feel about that exactly. He knew Delphine was in love with him, I mean how could he not? Yet he played on those feelings, not intentionally? to have sex with her and knew she would always be around if he needed her to. She was his best friend and took advantage of that. Just like all these other dudes and girls did. He never saw it that way but looking back on it, now he understood. But they didn’t call Jordan stubborn for nothing.

While he off reminiscing he zooned back and said something that Delphine would never forget, “how am I supposed to love you when I never had feelings to begin with?”

And for the first time, Jordan watched someone, not anyone, but Delphine’s heart break. Her eyes burned with tears as she left out bated breaths before chewing on her lips.

“If that was even the slightest bit true, then what was all of that in Vegas then? I still have those messages, you asshole.” Delphine held her ground, watching as Jordan stepped back, next expecting her to throw that in his face but she sure did.

She could always keep up in their disagreements so if he wanted to hurt her then she could do it too.

“...everything cool in here?” A voice cut in as they watched the two in the room appear as if they were in a stand off.

Which they were.

Delphine was the first to turn to Darnell and gave him a small smile as a tear slid down her cheek. “Everything’s perfect.”

Darnell didn’t believe that. Him and Spencer were in fact the first ones to jump at the noise, well rather Spencer nudged him to come along for back up since Darnell wanted to mind his business but the doorbell caught their attention to on the way up to the kitchen. Spencer just had to handle the door while leaving Darnell to deal with the constant arguing between Delphine and Jordan.

Spencer finally entered the room since Darnell was not sure what else to say in this moment, “uh, someone’s here for you, Del.” He informed, glancing back and forth between her along with Jordan.

Quickly Del wiped away any tears as she angled her body away from Jordan while she grinned at the boy who finally appeared from around the corner.

“Cody,” She breathed as she made her way over to the tall buzzed hair boy who was has his signature smirk plastered on his face.

She embraced him, pressing her nose into his shoulder while he squeezed her back. “Mi amor, told you I’d be here.”

He didn’t even glance Jordan’s way as Delphine pulled back to peck his lips and pull him away from this scene. Leaving what needed to be left behind her.

Jordan smacked the glass onto the ground, making Darnell and Spencer jump back not wanting any of the shards to come their way.

“I guess everything isn’t perfect, then huh?” Darnell widened his eyes as he sighed looking at the glass and juice now decorating the kitchen tile.

Spencer was the first to cautiously make his way over to Jordan who now held his bleeding hand. “Bro, tell me what’s going on?”

“Who the hell was that and why is he here?” Jordan snapped.

“A friend of Del’s, she invited him I guess.” Spencer gripped his shoulder, hoping to calm him down.

Jordan snorted, “yeah a friend. Yeah okay, is that what she’s calling them now? That’s hilarious.”

Spencer glanced over at Darnell who just shrugged his shoulders and patted his stomach as it growled. He turned back to Jordan and encouraged, “let’s get you cleaned up before everyone gets down here for breakfast, huh? I got you, c’mon.”

And Jordan let Spencer guide him away from his own heartbreak.

Darnell pushed his lips as he stepped over the glass looking at the fridge and looked back at the two boys that left him alone, “so y’all just gonna leave me here to clean up his mess?”

When he didn’t get a response he sighed as he snatched a rag up, “guess so.”

Patience: she’s the character that doesn’t seem to sugarcoat anything. She can be very vocal, blunt, and sometimes sarcastic. (I get Sag, Scorpio, and Aries energy or maybe even Capricorn? Who knows that’s another topic lol.) However when it comes to relationships...if she’s in one of those moods where she doesn’t want to hear it or wants to keep SOMETHING to herself and feels that the person who is making this statement to her is being overtop by saying such!!! she’ll probably turn around and say something along those lines just to say it, not really fully meaning it but said it because she’ll know that’ll get you/them to shut up. Now if it’s someone who said this to her and she’s pissed/dislikes their character then she wants to see if they’re really about it. Patience is ride or die—that much is obvious ex.) when it came to her tossing the gun to save Coop’s ass.

Layla: she might be sweet but she’s got some spice in her. Layla can be a mean girl and she knows words hurt. Sticks and stones don’t mean shit around here. Again these all depend on the situation but I do feel like if this was out of hurt then Layla’s going to say this to make sure the person knows she’s serious when she says this. When she’s hurt she wants everyone else to feel what the hell she’s feeling. Which can be a unhealthy trait but that’s why I placed her here. Layla can take her hurt out on anyone in her path since she doesn’t know how to handle her pain due to her own neglect from her father.

Chris: I feel like Chris will say this nonchalantly not really believing the person thinking they are just saying this to be saying it. He thinks nothing of it, actually finding it amusing more than anything. It’s more of a question mark with a dry tone more than a demand...unless you’ve pissed him off. Coop: we’ve already seen how that went with her and Spence. If someone said this to her she’s immediately confused and giving you/them a “wtf” glance. “You will—what? I’m not asking you to do all that. I’m not asking anybody to do anything for me, especially dyin’! I know you dropped something on the ground a few seconds ago and clearly, it’s yo mind!”

Jordan: this guy! My main man’s on the other hand...took me a minute to place him somewhere accurately. I feel like he can also fit in “I’d die for you first”= If he’s talking about Simone or someone he’s in love with, he might say this but will be shitting himself if that time actually comes literally speaking ofc. and “cool” = if he’s being asshole Jordan from season 1. Anyways, Jordan can be stubborn and impulsive (which is why I think he’s got Taurus and Aries energy) so again it depends on who exactly is saying this to him. Jordan is a guy about action so if you’re saying this to him, he wants you to not only mean it but show him how much you care. This is a demand.

“please don’t” — Olivia, Simone, Kia, and Darnell are taking this spot for me

Olivia: she’s been close to death before twice and daily with her addiction + witnessing Spencer take a bullet before and to have someone else say this to her is absolutely triggering so don’t say it or do it pls because she cannot and will not handle/cope well

Simone: she’s confused and will literally beg because she doesn’t want that on her Conscience. Even if it’s not that serious she doesn’t play with the idea of death. There’s too much to live for and she’s thankful that the person thinks so highly of her but she values life and knows she’s probably worth it but she never wants to have any control over anyone’s life especially when it comes to that aspect

Kia: similar to Simone. She’s looking at you/them crazy and asking if they’re okay? She might even laugh shortly about it. She’s aware of her worth but no one should have to end their journey in this lifetime over her. She appreciates it but it’s a no from her regardless

Darnell: “why tho?” Is basically his expression or his words. Then if he finds that they truly mean it he’s flattered but would much rather have them around to enjoy their time together. He already lost someone pretty important to him before (Cory) so he’s a little upset by what was said. He likes to keep the people he cares about close to him as possible even if they don’t mean it literally

“cool” — JJ, Shawn, and Vanessa

JJ: it’s more of a thrilled “cool!” Like wow you care that much about me that you’re willing to not only do that but eventually say it? Words of affirmation is JJ’s thing okay?! Automatic respect from JJ!!! If this is said; and it’s most likely mutual from him. Are we even surprised?

Shawn: he doesn’t believe it. It’s brushed off and he’s probably distracted doing something but it doesn’t really click until it’s quiet and he realizes. “You’ve been listening to that song by The Weeknd again huh?” He jokes but still appreciates them/you for saying such

Vanessa: it’s more a smile and shrug. She clearly heard what was said and she’s like “IKTR.” It’s hinted that the girl is confident and likes for others to be the same and to stand in their truth. Which is why she’s so drawn to Asher (😒 girl says it a thousand times since we’ve met her) and JJ. So if this is said to her it boosts her ego even if they’re just saying it to get on her good side

“I’d die for you first” — Spencer & Asher

Spencer: this is no shock. Do I even have to explain lol? Coop. Olivia. Spencer is a protector yet it can come off as a super hero complex. He can’t save everybody. But he will for damn sure try. That’s his character. He cares for his people and will do anything for them. And anyone. If that means death too then so be it.

Asher: again it depends on the relationship with this person. If it’s someone he truly cares about I think he’ll say it before he actually means it? Asher is still finding himself as a person (as they all are) and he seems to always search or either find what he can get from someone else? Ex.) Layla and Olivia + potential love interest with Vanessa and I don’t think it’s really intentional per say but if someone shows him a little bit of attention or that they care he can cling onto that (Leo energy? again probably a issue from his parents) quite quickly. So he might say it because it he felt like it was the right thing to say in that moment. Or if he’s genuinely in love, then this is what he’ll say because he seems like he can be passionate in relationships idk about him
