Writing is a community project. Roleplays, even more so. 

In a community project like this, people rely on others to feel like what they are doing is worth the effort they put into the project. This makes community projects like roleplaying a double-edged sword. 

For something like this, people are almost always more concerned about their own needs rather than other people’s and your content may not always cater to another person’s tastes. This can lead to feeling like your writing is subpar, that people are ignoring you, or worse; that people don’t CARE about you.

But as stated, 90% of the time, people are simply more concerned about their own needs. This is not a reflection on you as either a writer or a person! People just have different priorities or are going through their own turmoil and challenges! You can’t find a sweet spot where everyone around you will take an interest in your writing. It's an impossible task that you should not burden yourself with! 

Instead, just write for YOU! Get into the mentality that YOU are your own audience and write what speaks to you on a personal level! 

Not everyone will read it. Not everyone will appreciate it. In a land with hundreds of readers, only one or two of them may like and comment on it. But that is ok! No matter how much interaction or feedback a person gets on their writing, writing for yourself will ALWAYS be more rewarding and fulfilling than writing for others.

You are an amazing person and will always BE an amazing person.

Not that this should surprise anyone but yes - it's work kicking my ass again, plus health issues (weather shifts and air quality is horrifying here and I'm inhaling ashes from the Amazon rainforest and Pantanal on fire) and some offline things keeping me away from the computer off work-hours, but I'm trying to be better re. writing. <3 Stay safe!

Amazing Digital Circus quick theory:

Pomni is either the only ACTUAL person in the circus or is an NPC.

The characters in the Circus don't need to sleep. It's just something they do to have a feeling of normalcy. That means they probably don't dream either because they probably can't get into the state where dreams happen.

And yet the beginning of Episode 2 has Pomni in the middle of a nightmare! Gummigoo the bandit didn't even realize he was an NPC because his AI was so good and ended up having an existential crisis because of it! So that makes me think she's either a player and that allows her to dream, or she's an NPC and able to dream because this IS her world.

And at the End, we get this little tidbit from Caine after he Thanos-snaps Gumigoo out of existence so that leads me to believe it's already happened.

There's also the fucked up implications of making a program so sapient that it has a mental breakdown after realizing it's life was a lie but that's a different thing.

mulan (forever fave since childhood, gnc icon who saved china and ended up with the hot bi general, what's NOT to love? a legend in every sense of the word.)

jasmine (beautiful, badass, tells it like it is, always there for her loved ones, takes zero shit and i love her for it.)

ariel (loved her as a kid, had mixed feelings about her as a teen because of bad disney princess discourse, really love and appreciate her now.)

belle ("I WANT MUCH MORE THAN THIS PROVINCIAL LIFE..." me too, babe. what can i say about belle that hasn't been said already? as a fellow bookworm and monsterlover, i salute her.)

snow white (the sweetest angel who's actually hilarious and gets waaay too much hate.)

tiana/cinderella tie (I COULDN'T CHOOSE BETWEEN THEM HONESTLY, they're both really brave, amazing, and inspiring and also i kinda ship it...)

moana (she rocks and she saved the day with the power of love and her "i want" song is one of my favorites.)

rapunzel (she's adorable and funny but i didn't really fall in love with tangled like a lot of folks did...)

aurora (stunning design, incredible voice, doesn't have a lot of screentime but leaves a big impact nevertheless and her relationship with the good fairies is really heartwarming.)

pocahontas (it's complicated, folks. on her own, she's a great character with an amazing voice and some epic musical numbers but knowing the actual history of matoaka is...yeahhh, they really should've given her a different name as well as the other characters. the story's already completely fictionalized anyway.)

merida (she's neat and she has a really cool design and i love her relationship with her mom but it's another case where i like the character but i'm not too wild about the movie.)

raya (i only saw her movie once and found it pretty mediocre but she had a lot of potential, i liked her relationship with her dad, and she had good chemistry with namaari but unfortunately, disney was too cowardly to do anything with that so...)
