it’s so weird bc in season 2 I’m so convinced that mal and alina LOVE each other, but I’m not very convinced of their ROMANCE, yaknow ?

I think it may be because Ben Barnes is too good of an actor lmfao like he rlly sells his chemistry and sensuality with every single character whereas malina/their actors just,,, do not (IN MY OPINION). This is probably just a me problem though, and maybe I’ll change my mind on a rewatch.

I did feel a lot of spark and fiery passion between them in their argument in episode five tho! and in the more emotional moments like when mal says “you are the whole of my heart”- I guess I just wanted a liiiiiiittle more in the moments in between.
