Last month I discovered this artist opened a new surprise me YCH with a cooking game theme. I immediately, excitedly, tried to send a request for Jake and Rose!!! Oh look at how cute they are.. I've watched this gif for days...!! T__T

I love it so much! I love how they incorporated the lil details, decorations and color palette to match their worldview and visual design 🥹🥹 Please notice that Rose's cooking skill is LEVEL MAX!! Well-deserved...

ALSO ALSO, I wrote whether If it's possible to include the 4 kids cameo. 👉👈 My proposed idea was... what if the kids shows up as judges who rate the dishes that jkrs made? (to replace the stars rating)

And I was surprised to see the final result!! I appreciate that they willing to do it!! Aaaaaaa this GIF is absolutely adorable and the best thing I received that month ;.; i'm so in love..

I'm a big fan of their pixel artwork! It's sooo cute. i commissioned a pixel clutter for furerenmika and been using it for their toyhouse icons! I thought it'd be nice to have my other OCs getting one too. Their ych is always adorable as well... (Sketched out a rough draft for Eli's pixel clutter long time ago... havent got chance to comm her to complete the set..)

Though i'm unsure if i can send a request again without bothering them with my comm request.. :.) let's see... <- too anxious of being a repeat client

ANYWAYS!!! I'm very glad that i've been slowly trying to comm people drawing PABear on skeb... (最近はPABearファミリーもskebで絵をもらえるようになって嬉しいです！) So here are some compilation from 2023~April 2024!

Most of the artists drew my OCs plenty times already and I'M SO HAPPY to get chance seeing PAB family to get drawn by them!!! They are adorable... <3 ;o; thank you so much!!!!

PS : (skipping march because didn't comm a lot back then. wow very amazing self control just for a month) but i did get some stuff that month that probably will be written on next opportunity

a pabear fanfiction 🌹 🐻

Before the door was closed, a soft whisper of goodnight echoed in the stillness of the night, wishing the children, tucked and warm under their blankets, a happy dream.

Rose's hand slipped off the doorknob. She stretched her arms up in the air, her eyes had met the clock. It was 9 PM. The children were already on their bed as scheduled.

That's one of the tasks done. Now comes..., the next task...

Her steps were quiet towards the living room, there, she found Jake was already collecting the toys that had scattered over the floor.

"You should have asked them to tidy up" Rose crossed her arms, "Not offering them to make up their mess, that's irresponsible for them"

Jake could only gave her a sheepish laugh, "They would get distracted and continued to play, all of them had to go to bed and it was nearly their bedtime"

Jake picked up a train toy and smiled, "being discipline and on time are also part of being responsible, no?"

Rose rolled her eyes, feigning annoyance, though, she relented with his reason, she sighed and finally helped Jake collecting the children's toys.

The sound of toys being picked up and placed inside the box filled the living room for a while before Jake began to hum a song.

Rose's ears perked towards the familiar tune, her attention went back to Jake, "Isn't that the music for the children's day performance?"

Jake stopped the hum and nodded, "Yes, it is"

"How'd you know that?"

Jake reached the back of his head and scratched there, averting his glance away from Rose's figure, another sheepish chuckle escaped him, "I helped with the props and decoration for the stage" he confessed.

Hearing the answer, prompted Rose to raise her brows, "Help...? You mean, you've been going back and forth helping out pak rt and ibu-ibu komplek setting up the stage for the event?"

A quick and nervous nod followed from Jake, "Daniel invited me to help them out, and I volunteered myself"

The room fell silent and they kept on exchanging stare.

Not wanting to misinterpret her glare, Jake quickly cleared his throat and attempted to break the silence first, "Is... Is something wrong?"

Rose hummed, realizing that she had been staring him, "No, it's just..." she paused, her eyes began to drift to the box of toys below...

Her lips were slightly pursued for a moment before she addressed her thought, "I knew Yuki and Daniel will participate in the children's day event, they told me themselves" she paused again, her fingers traced the plush toy she was holding.

"...But, you rarely told me anything you do, Jake"

Jake's eyes grew slightly wider at her words, "I-I don't want to bother you while doing the house chores, that's all"

"That's very thoughtful of you, but the children would still tell me anything even if I was doing the house chores, they would come, offer me help, then yap endlessly. Telling me everything they saw or done"

The room fell silent again, yet, nobody moved slightly.

Rose contemplated and Jake was waiting.

"I wish..." Rose huffed, defeated by her own conflicting thoughts, then, she continued, "I wish you would tell me more about you. What you do, where you're going. It would ease me up a little bit"

"Ease you up..?" Jake repeated,

"Yes. You are still under my care, are you not? It would put me in relief knowing that everyone under my care is safe and not doing anything reckless when I'm not around to scold them"

Rose took in a deep inhale as her features softened, "So, yeah" she mused, continuing her task, "You should tell me more about you"

Jake blinked few times, her words sunk into his mind. "You wouldn't mind?" he asked,

Rose scoffed playfully, "Why would I mind about a small rambling from you? It's harmless"

"Well" Jake gripped the toy in his hand a bit firmer, he could feel the shape of the squishy toy pressing against his chest, he barely moved an inch.

A flustered mess he had become and he hadn't noticed it, "okay, I will try... telling you more in the future" he replied finally, then quickly added, "...about me, that is"

Rose gave him a silent nod in return as she continued to focus at the task at hand: tidying up the living room.

reason / meaning behind OCs name

i participated a thread on toyhouse earlier that question "explain the story behind your ocs name" aaand i want to write it more throughly here too.

Darlene

When i was writing her in early development. She was unnamed yet, she's a typical woman with the habit of using various pet names toward others. She says "oh dear," frequently and address her children or husband with "honey, sweetheart, darlings" etc.

I empty-headedly calls her Darlene—something that sounded similar to darling. It had became her name now ; v ; <3

George

okay so the name "George" randomly sticks in my brain when I saw his visual. I feel it resonated with him. So i just go with it without much thinking~ Then I remembered that name came from the classic movie Back to The Future, George Mcfly. I was like.. oh..! OHH..?!?! These two are similarly boyfailures who were fortunate enough to meet their true love after falling from a tree or fences! Haha. (ps. editing this gif outta the movie clip makes me nostalgic, i'm going to rewatch this movie sometime soon :D)

Allen and Frey

's names were randomly picked. No special meaning behind it, wasn't expecting i would be greatly attached to them.....i used to regret on how poorly they were named.. sadly I figured out it's too late to change their names LOL (Unless i extremely changing my mind in the future)

However i coped by giving middle + last names that i like for them and accepted it just fine now! Additionally they share similarly AL in their names...(which has become an advantage for their story ;) they noticed each other presences in class because their names are next to each other on the student list hehe)

Allen Gracelaine (fullname)

I found the word "Elaine" on google that means bright, sunray, shining light. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Allen Elaine funnily rhymes with each other, but its too short. So I mashed it with the word "Grace", its second alternative that i liked for Allen.

Bam! → Gracelaine. If you put together, Allen Gracelaine could be roughly translated as a rock that shine brightly with gracefulness.💛 I really love her name... Tho im not sure if she has a family name included. It might have some connection to her family background that yet to be revealed.

the jaiden siblings

As Frey was previously explained above, 'Mika' was also randomly popped out in my head, I think its cute! When I brainstormed for the jaiden siblings full names. I browsed through "christian baby names list" on google..... until i can find something that resonated with them LOL.

Michaella was fitting for Mika's fullname. I like how Rafael rhymed with Alfrey, as if they were reversed. Suitable for brothers who are twins.

By the way, I feel like if Alfrey wasn't named Alfrey, i'd call him "Nathaniel" ... i decided to put it as his middle name. The rest of his siblings' mid name are still wip tho X9

BONUS : Waffle the dog

I... dont quite remember why i named him Waffle exactly. Pretty much randomly thinking food names that matched him. But in the story, he does have a reasoning of the name. In his profile, it's written ;

Puppy Waffle used to sit watching mom cook every morning, making him smell like breakfast. For the most part, it'd be waffles. :)

i think thats all i could write for allen & co. casts for now. The rest of side characters' name are mostly randomly picked, not yet published for public even. Will update it once i have new characters with established design.

I've written the PABears as well, but I might.....just post it separately because ;) it turned out even longer and its better if i make a specific post.

footnoote : i rly need to find a title / name for allen's universe for easier tagging aeguhgegh for now i'll just write #hapimi for the general topic

hey! I might start to write a monthly post where i post a recap of comms/freebies/whatever i got where people draw or write for my ocs!!! Not gonna include all of them, probably just some highlights with selected themes or topic.

I need to yap my thoughts somewhere and hopefully could appeal to you considering to support the creators if u like their work🥰

It was valentine month.... it was supposed to be a month full of LOVE!! (of my otp)

Let's make this post adorable fureren comms I got/send around that month that fits the occassion back then 🥺💗

────── {⋆ Talk corner 1 ⋆} ──────

The last one was requested on february, but only got finished around April. It was a very worthy wait for furerenchwan summer-flavoured full course meal!!!!!!! AAH working with Reci is always a pleasant experience ;; v ;;

On this opportunity I tried to propose an idea "fureren sociolla date" for the sketchpage !! 💅💄 I have been wanting to draw a date inspired by the viral sociolla date videos. It fits them well, Frey is totally a boyfriend who will tag along inside the shop with Allen--Willingly learn and observe like a gentleman he is! (Pluus, also stepping in to stop her shopping haul lol)

Here're some sketches that is related to my sociolla date delulu. I hope to draw them out too myself in the future! hehe

During the progress; Reci suggested an idea where Frey is (sloppily) trying to apply a liptint on Allen for the first time ever. And I immediately agree with the idea!!!!! I like that in this piece, it seems Frey trying his best to get into Allen's interests as well.

By the way, while we're at it, I also want to show you this complete set of decorated icons comms from Reci as well. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! look at thems!!!!!

I'm thinking of getting another of these with my other ocs... maybe darlene and george...?🥺🥺? o-or wouldn't the whole six PABear family be great addition as well🧸..?! Gosh seeing the customized decoration around the character that resemble their character and personality ...!! Its so addicting....the artist always so good making them and put their own spin to the color palette!

Will reci accept this workload however... TT v TT let's just see in the future..!

For the 2nd picture : When I received the sketch for the first time I literally jumped and very normal about it like WAH!!!!!!!! kak yachi's art is always so rich in expression and i love it!!! first thing i think when i saw frey on each picture is like, oh my god... they are so silly.... stupid... and in love.......(????) i LOVE it, they depicted their personalities perfectly. Allen's super cheerful and Frey.... frey's silliness beneath his serious composure is so real......

Additionally ; it is super amazing to be able commissioning yachi to draw fureren again.

The left one was comm'ed around 2021. When i haven't really started shipping them and yet working on their lore. CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE IT.... (note that it also consist allen's old design) When Yachi drew them like that, i was awakened.......Oh... i really like seeing frey and allen having this kind of interaction......

So this piece meant so much to me. Its great that in 2024 I could have them draw these two again with new designs (And i appreciate kak yachi heartwarmingly remembers them and said they enjoyed drawing fureren ; v ;! Its a honor ...!)

Oh oh oh! Additionally, since February also Frey's month. I managed to commission a frey-birthday-ish fic from Matheo (a writer). It was SO GREAT Q Q I havent got time to publish it on my toyhouse bc i want to draw a thing or a two thats related to the fic. maybe i will just publish it next year on his birthday bc i tend to share my fic stock like much very much later

oop and the first picture was a lovely cookie box commission! I fell in love at the first sight, i really hope i could find more interesting and cute ych like that~!!
