Shopping For Dreams

A continuation of the Grape Juice series

Sapnap has to go to the store and the only way to get the little to leave was to offer a toy.

Dream laughed and squealed as he ran down the hallway where Patches was peacefully taking a nap. She had quickly moved away when she realized Dream was coming.

“Dream!” Sapnap was running as well, chasing Dream with a green and white striped shirt in his hands “We gotta get dressed and go to the store cmon!!”

Dream just laughed louder and yelled “no!” as he ran into the kitchen and under the table.

“Dreeeaaam” Sapnap whined “we have to go to the stooree” He thought for a moment before getting an idea.

“If you get your shirt on and come with me I’ll let you pick out any toy you want”

Dream peaked out from under the table “any toy?”

Sapnap blinked down at the blonde “well yea but obviously not too big or anything-“

“Toys!” Dream stood up and grabbed his shirt from Sapnap before putting it on.

As Dream was getting his shoes on Sapnap grabbed Dreams sippy cup, pacifier and a bottle just in case he needed or wanted it.

He filled up the sippy cup and the bottle, putting the bottle in his pocket so Dream didn’t see and throw a fit because he didn’t need it.

Dream stood up when he had his shoes on, smiling and getting ready to walk out of the door before he stopped “wait wait wait! I forgot!” He ran over to Sapnap “stay here appy don move.”

Sapnap smiled and nodded as Dream went running towards his own room. When he came back out he had a dog stuffie in hand “otay lets go!”

Sapnap and Dream had made it to the store with little problems. The older left Dreams pacifier in the car, knowing Dream didn’t really like people staring at him especially when regressed. He also didn’t like telling people about his regression much.

“Appy cmon cmon gots ta get to the toyyyss!!!” Dream giggled as he pulled on sapnaps arm.

Sapnap smiled “okay okay! We’ll go get your toy first before we get groceries”

Dream had dragged Sapnap all the way to the toy section. He looked at the isles, completely amazed by all the toy selections they had.

“Alright Dreamie pick an isle to go to and I’ll follow” Sapnap said, leaning against the cart he had grabbed.

First Dream walked down the isles that had mainly dolls and dress up items.

He had pointed to the doll house that they had on display to which Sapnap said no and shook his head.

“Sorry Dreamie but something not too big like that okay?” Dream whined but continued looking.

“We can go look at the baby toy isle. It has those blocks you like Dreamie” Sapnap knew he messed up when he said baby isle. When Dream was only regressed to five or four he refused to have anything remotely babyish. Which is why the bottle had to be hidden from him.

Dream was excited at the mention of blocks but he didn’t want to even go near the baby toy isle.

“No thankie sappy. I not a baby don need that stuffs” Dream continued to look down the isle he was in while Sapnap sighed.

“What about the coloring isle? I know you enjoy coloring books and crayons” Sapnap suggested.

Dream looked at his caregiver before nodding and letting Sapnap lead him towards the drawing items.

While they were walking, Dream couldnt help but glance down the isle meant for toddlers and babies. He reluctantly continued to follow Sapnap.

“Oh this is the art things for adults.” Sapnap turned to Dream “do you mind going to check if the next isle over is the kid stuff bub?”

Dream nodded, moving to the next isle. It was the kids art selection.

Dream hadn’t gone straight back to Sapnap like his caregiver instructed. He had enough time to look at the baby and toddler isle without Sapnap noticing right?

The regressor quietly moved towards the toy section again before walking to the baby and toddler isle.

He gasped as he looked around at the toys. He immediately went to the toy piano, messing around with the keys.

Sapnap waited on Dream but eventually got worried when he hadn’t come back after a couple of minutes. He walked to the other isle where Dream was nowhere to be seen.

Sapnap immediately panicked. What if Dream went and got hurt? Or if he got lost and doesn’t have a phone to contact Sapnap?

The older went looking down the toy isle, expecting Dream to be back in the isle were the dolls were. He was not.

Sapnap chewed on his nails, speed walking down the isles until he saw Dream in the baby and toddler toys. He let out a long relieved sigh.

Dream was muttering something about what toy he should get to his stuffed dog before noticing Sapnap “Appy appy lookie!!” He pointed at the blocks. There were wooden kitchen sets and cleaning sets.

Dream continued to ramble, saying something about how his dog stuffie said what toy he liked that Dream didn’t like.

“Dream” Dream stopped talking when he heard sapnaps stern tone. Sapnap noticed the panic in Dreams eyes and switched his tone of voice to a soft one “honey you can’t run off like that okay? You could’ve gotten lost or hurt” Sapnap moved over to Dream “you could’ve just told me you wanted to come here to look at toys I wouldnt have minded”

Dream looked up at him “M sorry I jus didn want you to think I was a baby” he muttered, looking down at his shoes.

Sapnap smiled “it’s alright Dream. Wanting toys like this doesn’t mean your a baby, it just means you prefer block toys more than other toys”

Dream nodded before moving to the baking block toy set “tan I get this one pease?” He held it up to show Sapnap.

His caregiver nodded it, gently taking it from Dream and putting it in the cart.

“Alright now we’ve gotta get groceries and we can go get something to eat on the way home” Sapnap held out his hand for Dream to take.

“Can we get McDonald’s?” Dream looked at Sapnap hopefully.”

Sapnap chuckled and rolled his eyes playfully “yes we can get McDonald’s bubba” he said, receiving a loud “yay!!” From Dream

Sapnap had decided to go through the drive thru and let Dream eat in the car. Dream wanted a happy meal with chicken nuggets and chocolate milk. Sapnap had just decided to get chicken nuggets as well but with a sprite.

Sapnap slowly poured the chocolate milk in Dreams sippy cup and handed it to the little before handing him his food as well.

Dream kicked his legs happily as he ate his chicken nuggets, thanking Sapnap quietly.

Sapnap smiled, eating a chicken nugget while he drove.

Dream whined when he finished his food “Dada tan I has my happy meal toy now peaseeee I finished my food”

Sapnap was a bit startled by the name but gave Dream his toy anyway. He smiled brightly when he realized Dream had gotten comfortable enough to call him that.

They both took a nap once they got home. Dream cuddled up to Sapnap with a bottle in his mouth. The brand new block set was strewn out all over the livingroom floor.

Everything was calm and the two couldn’t have been more happier.
