The largest tractor ever made by Oliver.
Oliver was constantly looking for a large tractor to market. The time it took the business to develop one was short. It was known as 2255. It was a Cat 3150-powered V8 tractor with 140 PTO horsepower. It received several pieces promotion.
A modular two-stroke Detroit Diesel engine was used in Oliver's 1954 version of the Super 99. This engine had a lot of horsepowers and was rock-solid.
Oliver updated their track tractor models in the 1950s and included a new machine identification system called OC (Oliver-Cletrac). Although the OC-3, OC-4, and OC-9 were all identical machines, their cab designs varied.
The OC-4 featured a more robust industrial appearance, built halfway between the OC-3 and OC-9 ranges. This seemed less stylized than the previous versions in the same series.
The OC-18 was Oliver's most giant track-type tractor to date. It had a diesel Hercules-type DXFE engine that produced 161 flywheel horsepower and placed between D7 and D8 in the track tractor category.
For busy farmers, powerful tractors were a need during the American baby boom. Oliver designed their Fleetline series tractors with extreme care since they knew this. They weren't simply interested in horsepower; they also wanted a nice-looking tractor. And one of them was in 1955!
It was the largest Oliver tractor ever produced, painted meadow green and bearing the Oliver logo. It had a cab installed by the manufacturer and was offered by dealers nationwide.
This model had a diesel engine, unlike the prior ones. The 5.1 L (310.0 cu*in) engine had a 14.7-liter displacement and produced 161 flywheel horsepower.
The 1950-T, manufactured in 1954, was the largest tractor ever developed by Oliver. The turbocharged 310 CID engine from the 1750 produced 105 verified horsepower on the PTO.
Detroit Diesel, a subsidiary of General Motors that has produced modular two-stroke engines since the 1930s, made this engine. The business had a solid reputation for building powerful, durable engines.
Oliver's decision to go with Detroit Diesel over Continental or Waukesha seems understandable. They didn't have to bother constructing their power plants, and if it made sense for them to do so, they could utilize the same equipment as other manufacturers.
2255 was a significant development for Oliver since it was the largest tractor ever produced with the Oliver name and meadow green color. This was one of the first tractors to have a six-speed over/under the gearbox.
For Oliver, the over/under was a novel design that gave the tractor a far greater ground clearance than any previous track-type tractor could. Most of the shaft alignment issues that other tractors had at the time were resolved by the trunnion mount that connected it to the main transmission.
It had a 145 PTO horsepower rating. A Cat 3150 engine was used to get that figure. This model's ability to be purchased with the Cat 3208 engine, which could interchange with the Cat 3150 engine relatively simply, is another intriguing feature. This implies that 2255 might have both machines running simultaneously, could even be an export version of a domestic tractor, or could keep one in the country while shipping one abroad.

The alternator can go into a heavy cycle and push out 100A when the winch is under heavy load. They are reliable and easily maintained. Usually mounted in the front of the vehicle the simple design allows for fitting to most common winch compatible bull bars and mountings. Most hydraulic winches available use the existing power steering pump in the vehicle. The majority of these are of the drum type and are usually mounted at the front or the rear of the vehicle. If this drops by a few volts it is a good time to give it a couple of minutes rest.The most common winch type is the Electric winch, powered by the battery/ies, which in turn are charged by the alternator.
A set of electrical solenoids supply power from the battery to the electric motor and the cable can generally be driven in or out of the winch. The best set up for providing power to your electric winch is a dual battery set up, with the winch running off your main/cranking battery. Most low mount winches have a brake assembly, which by design is engaged during the outward drive of the winch - in other words when driving the cable out the brake is on. As soon as this idea this is about the tire size for the two companies Cushman and wizzer we're going to meet to discuss this because the technology would be the same for this and it would be a motorcycle or scooter depending on what state you're in but it would be electric and geared and it will go about 80 to 90 mph and you could put a license on it for being a scooter or motorcycle and it would look a lot like this, but the motor would be where the big Open spaces and it's kind of funny because they use the one on the hub and they're not reliable and you can't do it for too long unless it's built with decent steel our sons is built with stainless. And this is a great idea what we want to do is to build this as an electric motorcycle but use the frame for the Cushman desert salt flats version and usually Cushman or use the wizzer frame and what you would have here would be a motorcycle and you could also put pedals on it and it would be a moped it's pretty much taking the motor out and putting in electric motor.
And we want to put that forward to them then he's saying we should make this model right here and this is what he was starting to make with the hard times company but the other two want to do it and it's going to be lithium and you guys want that and stuff.
But at Hard Times motorcycles this would be a motorcycle and we're going to offer it as such and if they accept as a scooter in some places we're going to do that but it will get about 650 miles per charge and it will look almost exactly like this but it'll have a electric motor and gear system where the spot is it's empty he likes this design because it's very simple and easy to make and you just get on it and go and it won't be that high up and it's kind of a cafe style and it's simple and it's cheap and it's easy to make no frills no fats no muss just some blinkers and a brake light and and you're on and just a regular Speedo and in front light this is not going to be anything complicated about this and yes your battery runs the light and stuff and there's also some other things that we can put on there when it's moving it can run the lights off something else and it's not a PTO it does run off the gearbox and we can do that very simply and it can be an option it saves your energy about 3/4 of what you use. But really the light does not use that much and you would get that much miles and you also be able to go probably about 120 miles an hour the best part it's all recycled material and we're targeting the marks of people who don't have much money and it would start around $950 you might get it lower and if it comes partially assembled it would be about 875 and if it comes I disassembled with the motor is assembled of course it would be about $450. And our son would definitely buy one and we're going to make these now.
