You're not Junko right now. You're Ryo.

Ryo doesn't enjoy suffering, or laugh in the face of those on their deathbeds, or bath in ecstasy of pure, unfiltered despair. Ryo hates those things, he doesn't want bad things to happen to people.

Even if they really, really deserve it.

So he flips open the file, scanning over the first sentence. He recognizes it as Matsuda's handwriting, harsh scribbles in uneven lines. It's legible, even to him, even if he wasn't the Ultimate Analyst.

But, while the writing makes him think of dusty manga and middle school love letters, it's the words that make his stomach drop. Somewhere, he feels the stab of betrayal, the sting of tear prickling in his eyes. It makes him want to slam the folder shut and throw it in the shredder beside his desk.

He feels Junko shudder from the despair.

WIP Wednesday Game

It’s WIP Wednesday, time for a little accountability, sharing your work, and getting a kick in the pants.

I agree with the Hiro thing 100%

Often in media Clairvoyants are depicted as con artists by tricking people(oftentimes women, but that has sexist undertones and not the point) into believing that they really can see the future. And DR is heavily leaning into that trope.

I does make me wonder if other talents are similar. Like, the Ultimate Spirit Medium who can sometimes talk to spirits, but mainly uses their talent to launder money.

But it makes me wonder that, if hpa has Ult criminals, then they have to have Ult Con Artists, right?

But if you are titled as an Ultimate CON ARTIST, then your cons get busted. No one is going to trust you. The title essentially ruins your talent.

So instead, hpa leans into your con. Gives you a title that helps you. Would you rather trust the Ult Con Man or the Ult Clairvoyant?

Look, I know Junko is the Ultimate Fashionista, but in my head, she's really the Ultimate Influencer.

Like how Hiro is technically the Ultimate Clairvoyent, but in my head, he's really the Ultimate Con Man.

As celebration, you guys get PYWWR headcanons for her!

Mikio Tsumiki! The Ultimate Nurse!

•Still apart of class 77, still becomes a remnant of despair, but no brainwashing!(Yay!)

•Was bullied as a kid (and still is) for his feminine qualities, still experiencing the same traumatic stuff that's in canon

•Loves his job as a nurse! He loves the feeling of being needed and caring for others!

•Has been offered the opportunity to become an actual medical doctor, but has refused everytime. He prefers his current job.

•Often experiences harrassment for being a male nurse. Bullies will often call him homophobic slurs and make him dress in skimpy nurse costumes.

•Great with kids though! But it's a mix of genuinely being good with kids and letting them do whatever they want to him.

•Has a bunch of candy in his pockets. He gives them to people when they are feeling sad (plus advice about how to only consume sweets in small amounts. People usually forget why they were sad after his lecture).

•Clumsy. Even though most of the time it's for attention, dear God, don't let him near glass objects.

•Loves horror movies! Is it bad that he daydreams about being in them? (A certain twintailed blonde says "Of course not!")

•Is still madly in love with Junko. He knows that she is a drag persona, and even though he's never seen Ryo out of drag, he still loves him with all his heart!

•Fell in love with both Ryo and Junko! He fell in love with Ryo because he wasn't ashamed to flaunt his feminine qualities. Junko is everything he wants to be, and he often daydreams about making his own drag persona and preforming with Junko.

•Has only seen Ryo out of drag once, and that was when he scavenged his body after the Killing Game.

She 100% steals her clothes from her Ultimate Drag Queen bf, she does NOT care if they are baggy. Free clothes is free clothes (Ryo is so happy that she's wearing his designs, he puts stuff he doesn't like (and doesn't fit properly) in his closet just for her <3)

Looking at PYWWR Tsumugi is sooooo interesting, mainly because there's a HUGE debate on whether or not Drag is Cosplay or a form of it.

It also hits harder bc of Ryo's role in creating both the killing game and the tragedy AND was working with The Steering Committee. He was playing both sides, he was writing the story how he wanted it to go. He played a major part in the creation of Izuru then turned around and used that against HPA. This is very apparent even in Canon when Junko is literally writing Dr0, and how everything was set up by her to create a story.

PYWWR Tsumugi wants to BE Ryo, not Junko. Sure, she's the Icon, the face, everyone LOVES her and so does Tsumugi.

I feel this works well with her Canonical self, but its emphasized with the distinction of Ryo and Junko and Ryo's OWN issues regarding himself and his identity.

To put it best: think of one of the first things she says. She love making cosplay, but doesn't think people love them enough to have the privilege to wear them.

She loves creating things, but she has to play those roles bc no one loves it enough.

She loves Junko, but she doesn't think anyone else deserves to play her role.

He loves Junko, but wants to be Ryo.

But Ryo has to be Junko.

So Tsumugi has to be Junko.

Ok, some thoughts on my Ryo/Ult. Drag Queen Au.

Putting this in the main tags, so if you're new; Ryo is genderbent Ryoko. Junko is Ryo's stage identity. Still the mastermind, still fucked up.

•Ryo is class 78's Ultimate Drag Queen. No one knows his real name or what he looks like out of drag except for Mukuro and Matsuda.

•Technically, the Ultimate Drag Queen title belongs to JUNKO, Ryo has another Ult. title.

•While Junko was naturally scouted for her title, The Steering Committee found out about Ryo through Matsuda, and personal brought him in under the Ultimate Analyst title.

•They hired him to work on the Kamukura project, and while they know about Junko, they tried to hide it from everyone else due to plain embarrassment (old assholes).

•But it works, and no one else knows about his talents.

•Ryo is still the Ultimate Despair, so obviously he uses his knowledge of the project to spread DESPAIR! Because fuck these guys.

•The rest falls in line with canon (other than dr0, but nothing majorly changed so idgaf).

•However, due to Mukuro and Matsuda's (and the steering committee) deaths, no one knows about Ryo being Junko.

Thinking about my headcanon that Mukuro changed her name and dyed her hair in Fenrir.

Thinking about how Junko didn't kill her sister, or even Ryoko's sister, but the person who took her place.
