Part 4 of the Max Verstappen x bestfriend!reader social media au, based around all things Zandvoort.

A/N: I had about 38473 ideas for this one but I think I’m just going repurpose them for other parts since I can only add 10 photos. I hope the Twitter threads aren’t too boring, I will start experimenting with other platforms at some point I think.

yoshikage kira headcanon list:

1. his finger-chewing tendencies existed even before he could form memories, so his mother bought him baby mitts to knock the habit early. the lack of grip led him to slip and fall often, which gave kiramom quite the scare, but seeing as the mittens were a necessary evil, she took it upon herself to do for him what he couldn’t. read into that what you will.

1.2. by the time it was no longer an appropriate age for him to wear baby mittens, he was still indulging the habit like nothing had changed at all. i imagine it started off as mostly a habitual comfort early on, and developed into self-harm when he felt the need for control.

1.3. jumping off of izzy’s hc that he has a low pain tolerance, i think that the sensation of pain is very sobering to kira, hence the development from thumb-sucking to finger-chewing, as noted by f0r. as unbearable as pain is for him, i think it’s also grounding, esp in moments of anxiety. low pain threshold, low pain tolerance, but a high secret third thing (bad coping mechanisms).

2. this one isn’t canon compliant, but i like to think that kira’s nails don’t actually grow supernaturally fast and are more of a reflection of his state of mind. i think they def grow faster than the average person’s, but it’s a mix of genetics, routine nail care stimulating the growth, and perception bias. he only “notices” it when he’s aroused or stressed bc it’s harder to ignore, and let’s be honest, arousal and stress go hand-in-hand for the guy (ha. hand-in-hand).

3. kira doesn’t just hate body hair on women but also on himself, tho probably for different reasons (aesthetic vs sensory, respectively). this wasn’t much of an issue before taking on kosaku’s face seeing as he doesn’t grow much of it himself, but he would still shave all the same, and always smooth. this is evidenced by the fact that he reached for the blade razor rather than kosaku’s electric one (blades are known for a closer shave, while kosaku used an electric razor since “regular razors usually give you burns,” implying that he uses a guard which is a less close shave). living as kosaku was hell too since he had to shave more frequently and the stubble was a lot scratchier.

4. bouncing off of f0r’s selective hygiene hc, his idea of cleanliness is very contradictory and more aligned w perceived contamination than actual germs. may i remind you of when he licked blood off of his hands during the fight w shigechi as to not stain his clothes. granted, it was his own blood, but considering his self-report abt masturbating, i wouldn’t say it’s far fetched to believe he’s not all that concerned abt washing his own hands.

4.1. speaking of self-report masturbation habits, kira believes himself to be above masturbation despite probably being a virgin, but the difference between him and those “sweaty unwashed guys” is that he never uses his own hand anymore. 😥

5. kira is attentive to detail but only to the extent that he’s aware. he has an appreciation for specific types of hands, but it’s all very superficial. for example, he’ll paint some nails pretty, but he wouldn’t think to push back the cuticles. like what is this:

right over the cuticle… you know that polish is chipping, and he’s sucking it right down 😭

6. kira uses this exact cologne:

6.1. i appreciate that his cologne is unisex since he prob wants a feminine scent for his gfs but nothing so flagrantly womanly that it reflects poorly on him, which leads me to believe that he never went out of his way to buy nail polish (suspicious for a man!) but instead stole it from one of his victims, perhaps if she was carrying it in her purse.

7. he’s a serial killer dater, but he’s no cheater. he might be looking at other hands while he’s in a “relationship,” but at least he’s monogamous abt it; he’ll break up w his current gf before moving on! i mean, why not just take both hands? simple, he can only handle one lady at a time 😌

8. he’s a stickler for routine, and this applies to his diet. these are 2 separate breakfasts he made from eps 1 & 21:

the exact same, even down to the placement of each dish and utensil. maybe he adds a little measured variety in his lunch and dinner choices, but i’d like to think this is how he makes breakfast every morning, and he never gets sick of it. shinobu occasionally cooking up dif breakfasts for him was probably a shock to the system.

8.1. if he was cooking in someone else’s house and they didn’t have a butter knife or, god forbid, had orange juice w PULP, he’d genuinely get offended. no decorum or taste whatsoever, tsk tsk. it’s a good thing he’s there to “set her soul right.”

8.2. maybe further down the line in the kawajiri household, shinobu would’ve commented on his repetitive breakfast choices, and he’d have to force himself to make an omelette or smth to appease her wildly sporadic (normal) appetite. maybe she’d learn how to make breakfast the way he usually does, just to show that she cares ☺️ but unfortunately she overcooked the eggs, and the knife is in the butter the wrong way, and the toast errs on the side of burnt, and… well, no matter. he’s more than okay being the cook every morning from now on.

9. kosaku styles his hair flat and slick, but kira has no experience w the heavy duty gel that he uses, so it ended up in spikes so he could keep his signature little noodle bangs. old habits die hard.

and seeing as how shinobu made no comment on kira’s hair turning white, i’m gonna add a bonus kosaku hc that he’s always changing up his hair in some kind of early mid-life crisis. (“there goes my stupid insecure husband doing his hair differently again, as if that’ll change the fact that he’s already graying. 😒”)

10. rounding us off w my handcanons from a while back, kira’s hands aren’t smth he cares to keep prim and pretty the way he would for someone else’s, but he does have his own routine that puts them above average. although he picks at them during bouts of stress, they tend to heal quickly, as hands do (aided by his saliva bc you know even if he wasn’t chewing on them, he’s sucking on his thumb after peeling the hangnails). the lack of scarring all his life enabled his bad habits, only tempered by the impoliteness of it drilled into his mind as a child.

One of my favorite things from JJBA Part 4 is that basicly every stand user they fight ends up becoming a freind or part of the Gang. I love that so much. Exluding Yoshikage Kira, of course.

Yes, the first years in the church were amazing and the role as “The Reverend” suited me’s better and better as time passed. At the same time the list of names I’s left a mark on grew longer and longer… It was hard for most people to resist my charm anyway, so I’s came to the point, that I’s didn't hold back anymore. But somehow the more people I’s made scream my name in one way or the other, the less I’s could stand my the thoughts in my own head. At some point it got so bad I’s tried some pills against it, since the alcohol didn’t completely work anymore… I’s thought it couldn’t get any further downward at this point… Naive thinking.

It was another Saturday night, that meant prime time in the church of Lush. The queue outside was as long as every weekend and the great hall was filled with shouting and cheering in the process. Meanwhile in the backstage area, the band got ready in their own ways: “Alright everything is ready… except one thing” Michael looked around sighing, it wasn’t the first time that their front man was the last to show up, even though he was literally living the closest to the place: ‘Twitchy boy is late again! Fucking fantastic!’ Frank complained loudly while trying out his drumsticks on the table in the room: “I should give him a call maybe…” the moment the tall one pulled out his mobile, the door to the backstage room flung open: °Hey guys~ soooorry for dat I’s lost track of time…*hic* again…° Twitch held on to the doorframe, his sunglasses on his nose like it was the middle of the day still: “You are wasted already… Strych you can’t play like that!” - °Oh no no - I’s MUST play like dat hehe° the blonde one chuckled pulling out a little bag out of his coats pocket: °Y’know I’s can always adjust my’s mood a little into every direction with the help of this and dat~ ° - “...whatever floats your boat dude…” - ‘Enough chit-chat! Let’s go already!’ the drummer rushed past the intoxicated frontman onto the stage that was still in the dark followed by Michael who turned to Twitch: “Just be careful with the man… there is always another way, okay?” the bassist put his hand shortly on the blonde's shoulder before leaving as well: °…Sure thing Mikey boy …° Twitch waited a moment before swallowing one of the pills he had shown before and let the rest slip back into the pocket, after that he joined the rest on the stage in the first row were he belonged for some years now. °Showtime…° he stepped to the mic stand taking a deep breath: °Weeeeeelcome to this nights mess my’s little lambs~ are you ready to let your sins be forgiven by your Reverend??° as the lights turned on the crowd went wild with excitement, the next thing that followed was the voice of the drummer counting the band in starting off the party just right.

Mhm those were the good nights yes… at least in my’s memories of it huh… it was mostly the same but always so unique to the people in the crowd. They all came to see us play, to have a good time with drinks and friends, to see me’s doing the best I’s could. I’s was so happy with that or at least I’s thought so for some time.

The good thing about the place where the many rooms in it with plenty of space to crash in after a alcohol filled night, people could rest easy knowing they had a bed to crash in and some other had the luck not crashing alone there. Even others had the chance to end up being a “trophy” to a certain angel searching for his fix after the show in the king size bed, which was located in the big office on the upper floor. People sure had the time of their lives coming to the “holy messes” everyone did… and mostly the Reverend himself - at least that was what everybody was thinking, seeing him all natural wrapping the masses around his finger in every show. In reality it was just another way to make himself get distracted from what was lurking inside.

Twitch was woken up by a ray of sunshine stealing itself through the curtains onto his face: °…Oh shit my’s head…° the angel growled sitting up: °Morning again -rise and fucking shine Twitch-° he faked a sarcastic smile to himself since his two roommates for the night were still asleep right next to him. He sighed putting the covers over the two naked trophies still resting from what happened last night, then got up and got dressed followed by a quick check in a little book on the big wooden working table in the same room, since his own memory wasn’t to be trusted anymore, he kept track of his appointments in written form for some time now. °Let’s see… sunday…that’s today?° the blonde one bit his lips before closing the book again: °…I’s need to shower…and a drink… or something stronger.° he whispered to himself before going to the bathroom to get somehow ready for the outside world, he got dressed but this time in a somewhat normal looking outfit for his standards. Twitch quickly left the place only taking a pair of sunglasses and his wallet with him, he only stopped by a small flower shop before making his way to the town’s graveyard. It was still pretty early for his normal wake up times, so there were not many people around by now. He couldn’t stand being alone but this time was just different. The angel stopped in front of a marble tombstone putting the flowers in front of it and sat down a bit further in front of it with a tired smile: °Hey mom… long time not talked haha…° he had forgotten about this anniversary, he liked to make himself forget things on purpose, but he couldn’t get rid of those memories: °I’s had another show last night! The people sure love me’s still , it's amazing! … Well that’s at least what I’s think is the case…° the angel felt his eyes getting watery and he was glad being alone this time: °I’s feel so fuckin’ lost, mom… what should I’s d-do i-it’s so hard. N-nobody really knows what’s going on inside me’s…° in this moment the sunny boy lost all of this charm and kindness, only leaving behind a tired looking man without a real clue what to do with himself in this world: °Everyday’s the same I’s can't even tell which day of the week we have anymore… Nothing really matters to me’s anymore… I’s so tired of all this bullshit.° Twitch held his face in his hands trying to calm himself somehow but failed: °I’s miss you’s so bad… I’s need your help down here… at least some guidance!° - “I am sorry that, I couldn’t give you that Strych…” The angel looked up and shocked, he hadn't expected an answer to that. °H-Huh?° - “Up here baby bro…” Wilhelm was standing behind him, wearing all black and sunglasses, holding on to a bouquet of flowers as well, after he put those down he pulled up his angel counterpart up into a hug just remaining silent for sometime until the weeping angel was alright to leave again.

- kira's view of gender is very binary. interesting that he has a standard for women is to be hairless, meanwhile he can't stand having body hair on himself. very interesting

- i don't think kira would have the vocabulary to know about his identity rn, and if he eventually did, he would treat it as in-depth research, almost like a hobby. morbid curiosity, he'd claim

- as an extension of that "hobby" mindset, i think using killer queen as an outlet for his femininity would act as a barrier in his mind to express himself without having to actually apply it to Himself (the gender euphoria of using she/her for killer queen bc kira wouldn’t admit to it otherwise)

- KILLER QUEEN IS HER TRANSONA.

- the most heterosexual lesbian you will ever meet…

- the idea of transphobic transgender kira is so funny to me knowing her other values. she won't remember your pronouns bc she will not care to refer to you in general, but even if she did, any pronouns besides he or she are “gramatically incorrect and/or superfluous.” okay multi-pronoun user

- would claim that he doesn't need external validation for his gender and that it's nobody's business, but it's rly due to internalized transphobia and his fear of sticking out that he doesn't leave the closet :(

- she has her moments though. maybe one day, she's painting her “girlfriend's" nails a lovely shade of purple when she realizes it goes with her suit. she applies the polish to her own nails to test the theory, and sure enough, it's a perfect match. she tries not to think about why it disappoints her to wipe it off before work

- in his mind, it was never a feeling of choosing one or the other but rather the feeling of being incomplete. kira is someone who rly values routine and balance, so i imagine that this applies to gender too, in that masculinity and feminity are two sides of the same coin to him. i don't think he would want to medically transition even if that were an option, but his gender expression is very much real and tangible to him, even in the most seemingly inperceptible ways

- i think that she started questioning after getting KQ but never felt the urge to seek out answers or dig deep into it once she started being able to give herself freedom of expression at home. it only became a problem when she had to hide as kosaku and was once again having to keep those parts of herself hidden (i'm sorry that this follows so many story beats of kira's murder activities, it's not meant to be a one-to-one parallel 😭 just a result of the freedom vs repression of canon circumstances)

- HOWEVER smth that diverges from canon is that i think there's a way around kira's gender expression now that he doesn't have to perform in secret but rather express himself through a different outlet once shinobu becomes part of the equation. kosaku tends to wear dark/dull-colored clothing whereas kira is more inclined towards coloful pastels. i think shinobu would pick up on this difference and start having them wear matching outfits, slowly making his closet more feminine. kira would freak out at first thinking it was some kind of test that he had slipped up on, but shinobu would only lean harder into it bc honestly she just wants to bond with her husbandwife over smth as simple as clothes. it's the first time kira's even been called pretty. he doesn't protest

- when kira gets used to having someone recognize and even encourage her gender expression, i think this would be when she starts being comfortable enough to talk abt it and recognize it as more than just a feeling. she and shinobu might even have a conversation (probably initiated by shinobu through unsubtle questions that kira was too embarrassed to dance around and would rather address head on)

- as big of a revelation as this is for kira, i don't think much would change. he still prefers to do things as they always were and doesn't rly feel like he misses out on much when he goes out in his suit and gets called masc terms; in fact, it's a comfortable familiarity. but every time he puts on the subtle perfume that shinobu got for him, well, that becomes a familiar type of comfort for him too

- shinobu: “no wonder kosaku was so repressed before, he's been so much more expressive now that she's come out of the closet ^__^”

- this is how we can make the babygirl kira agenda real.
