I know these are niche Voyager thoughts but... how did the families of the crewmembers who died feel when Voyager got home? Did Frank Darwin's family react with anger and horror when they learned he lived for 3 years into the journey, only to be brutally murdered by a fellow crewmate for no reason? Did Ahni Jetal's family intially come to terms with the fact they'd never see her again, grieve, and move on, then get a flicker of hope when they learn Voyager survived, only to have those hopes dashed again when they see the casualty list? And what about Joe Carey, who lived until after Project Pathfinder was established. Who probably sent his family letters. And then who died right before Voyager came home. Can you imagine the emotional whiplash that must have been?

This set of Angelcorpse analog photos were taken the 21st of October 1999 in Madrid during the band’s performance in support of Marduk during the “World Panzer Battle” tour.

Both bands made a perfect match on such a crusade presenting and promoting live their (then) last respective albums “The Inexorable” and “Panzer Division Marduk” released the same year on Osmose Productions

We followed with great enthusiasm the steps of Angelcorpse since their debut album (no we didn't listen to their “Goats to Azazel” demo back in the day).

The Morbid Angel influence was undeniable but we always felt that Gene Palubicki guitar heavy artillery attack combined with Pete Helmkamp unmistakable and inimitable vocal style were a mass destruction deadly army.

Having Order From Chaos in highest regard and being obsessed by their music since the first time we listened to the Kansas trio in 1993, we embraced Peter George Helmkamp’s new music adventure into a more orthodox Death Metal songwriting and developing the lyrical subjects of the heretic supremacy and social darwinism that have made his lyrics, some of the strongest, most thoughtful and memorable of the Metal underground movement.

Live the band was a blitzkrieg of unprecedented proportions taking no prisoners. Pete’s performance and stage persona had that dangerous magnetism that could be witnessed in the years to come during the time he was part of Revenge - bandGene Palubicki / Artist page Palubicki six strings gun machine bursts were a firestorm (second guitar on the tour was Ken Phillips or Steve Bailey, we ignore exactly which one of them) and Tony Laureano on drums was simply a devastating armored division

Probably our memory is playing tricks with us, but we have the memory that Belgian Enthroned were part of the billing despite not appearing in the concert stub. We remember entering late on the venue because of work commitments and saw them walking off the stage while Ouija were the openers.

What’s the earliest you’ve ever had to wake up for work? I think when I worked graduation ceremonies a few years ago our call time was 4am so I got up a little before 3am. The call times in recent years have been later, which is nice.
