Every year, thousands of cats and kittens are abandoned or left to roam the streets, hoping to find someone willing to give them a second chance at a better life.

okay so I don't really post here ever but I want to tell you a story about having a dog. hopefully someone who wants to buy a dog as a xmas present will think twice.

you know what my dog did today? my sweetest little pup hid in some bushes and ate shit. well, you will say, some dogs do that, tough luck. sure they do, but you know what happened when I left home for 30 mins?

my sweet little pup threw up this shit all over the living room floor, sofa, and his fav pillow.

and if you are looking for an answer why puke if you decide to eat shit anyway, it's because he also ate 3 pieces of plastic. and some leaves. and a freaking slug. because apparently shit is so delicious that you don't even notice you're eating polyethylene.

and as during puking some of this shit got on his paws, he decided to clean himself. smearing the shit all over him and his bed.

so next time if you "think you want a dog because they are cute", ask yourself a question if you want half-digested shit on the floor of the room where you eat.

if the answer is yes - congrats! you are ready to be a dog mom.

Since childhood, Sir Ken and Sir Jeric have always had a special connection to Puspin (Filipino cats) and Aspin (Filipino dogs).

In 2020, they established Cats of Quezon Province with the mission of helping abandoned Puspin and Aspin on the streets.

Over the past five years, they could never have imagined that their humble goal of rescuing these animals would expand and become recognized across Quezon province, with their advocacy reaching far beyond what they expected.

THE VILLAGE DOGS

📍 Lucena City, Quezon Province, Philippines

I have been renting and living in a village for almost a decade. Even before Cats of Quezon Province existed, I have been doing everything I can to help Community (Stray) Cats and Dogs!

In 2020, at a time when I couldn’t take in another fur baby aside from Sherlock, we decided to establish Cats of Quezon Province with the goal of helping Homeless Puspin (native filipino cats) and Aspin (native filipino dogs) find responsible fur parents.

By 2021, we realized that the problem of stray puspin and aspin wouldn’t end unless we tackled the root cause. That’s when we launched our Spay/Castration Event and Campaign. Since then, we have been doing everything we can to help within our means!

That’s why we kindly ask entitled individuals who message us as if we owe them something, demanding help and when not immediately assisted or responded to, resorting to insults and curses. These are one of the reasons we can’t always respond quickly to everyone.

In 2024, a large number of Aspins started appearing near the place we rent. Since then, we have been feeding them every night! Even though we are just renters without a permanent shelter, we still do our best to help.

We DO NOT demand donations at every turn! We DO NOT require a donation before helping a cat or dog in need! We DO NOT just repost situations from other places while ignoring the strays in our own community!

We are not wealthy, but we often use our own money to cover vet bills for rescues. Once they are healthy, we find them fur parents. We also feed community puspin and aspin to help them survive another day without hunger, not for content creation!

We don’t post about every single thing we do because we are not doing this for fame. We do it out of love for these cats and dogs!

YES, we do fundraisers when we know our budget won’t be enough. YES, we post for transparency to those who trust and support us.

To those who curse at us as if there’s no tomorrow, we hope you understand that our resources are also limited, but we are doing everything we can 💛

To those who exploit innocent cats and dogs for profit, please stop and have a conscience. What you’re doing is not right 🐾
