ALL-DAY PERFORMANCE ART RELAY

Saturday December 16 at OCAD Great Hall in Toronto. 1pm - 9pm (or later if there are last minute additions) Audience and performers are invited to come and go throughout the day.

LEGS is a series of relay performance events initiated by the performance art community in Montréal (more info below) and is characterized by a questioning of curatorial and institutional financial models to allow for greater freedom of action and deployment. It is a durational, independent and flexible performance event open to everyone, regardless of level of experience and artistic approach.

Participating artists are suggested by other participating artists, snowballing a self-organizing event that is disinterested in traditional curation. It is a minimum of 7 hours and a maximum of 9 hours long; the durational for each work is decided by dividing the total chosen time with the number of participating artists in order to realize a continuous performance relay without pause.

The order of the performances is arbitrary. Founded on a belief in community trust, performative dialogue and artistic self determinacy, the resulting collective event lets participating artists be responsible not only for the continuous stream of idea-and image-making, but also for the realization of event itself. There is no staff, no coordinator, no stage manager, only artists working together.

LEGS has legs. LEGS is a manifestation of the social and performing body through the collective network and expanded community.

The first iteration of LEGS was presented in Montréal on February 7, 2015, at Le Cercle Carré. The score and format of the event was initially imagined by an informal collective of artists (including Christian Bujold, Michelle Lacombe, Marie-Claude Gendron, Nadège Grebmeier Forget, Katherine-Josée Gervais and Jean-Philippe Luckurst-Cartier) and was created with the intention of activating and making-visible the often fragmented local performance art community.

(The score) LEGS,

1) is made by local artists (local/provincial) participating on a voluntary basis.

2) is not crafted by a singular artistic direction or selection method, and refuses all curating models (there is a lead organizer who acquires a space and starts the chain of invitations–this is the only entity-driven action).

3) is intergenerational, and the invitation is extended to performance artists at all stages of their careers. It does not however pretend or attempt to be an exhaustive representation of a community.

4) is a minimum of 7 hours and a maximum of 9 hours long; the durational for each work is decided by dividing the total chosen time with the number of participating artists in order to realize a continuous performance relay without pause. The order of the performances is arbitrary.

5) is not performed for the sake of the camera, but is photo documented and live streamed, if possible. Images will be collected by the transmitter, made available to participating artists, and published on a collective LEGS website, where the multiplying manifestations can co-exist.

6) is characterized by the fact that each participating artist is autonomous; there is no technical or material support. Artists are responsible for their own set up and clean up (which is part of their allotted time). No performance will be stopped but artists will begin at their scheduled time.

7) is not financed by any public program or entity and doesn't generate monetary profit for the organizers or the participants. asks, if desired, for a donation from attending audience who are free to come and go as they please; the collected donations compensate venue rental or documentation, if necessary, and the remainder is spent on refreshments for all.

8) can only be transmitted to/in another community by an individual (or a small group) who has participated in the directly previous edition, and the physical participation of these transmitters in the next event is preferred.

9) is shared through this score and set of principals across the performance art network. The custodians of this second Toronto iteration are lo bil and Simla Civelek. We hope that there will be a few LEGS transmitters from the authoring collective/performers to join us for this event.

15 nominations pour LA DÉESSE DES MOUCHES À FEU au Gala Québec Cinéma 2021

Une autre année pas comme les autres pour le Gala Québec Cinéma, alors que les salles ont longtemps été fermées, ce qui n’a pas empêché une vingtaine de longs métrages de fiction de prendre l’affiche.

Dans la catégorie Meilleur film, on retrouve quatre des films qui ont été le plus vus et appréciés, soit Le club Vinland, La déesse des mouches à feu, My Salinger Year et Nadia Butterly, ainsi que Souterrain, dont la sortie a été maintes fois reportée, mais qui sera le film d’ouverture des Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma cette semaine.

Alignement semblable dans la catégorie Meilleure réalisation, avec Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette (La déesse des mouches à feu), Sophie Dupuis (Souterrain), Philippe Falardeau (My Salinger Year) et Benoit Pilon (Le club Vinland), mais l’industrie a préféré Daniel Roby (Target Number One) à Pascal Plante (Nadia Butterly).

Dans la catégorie Meilleur scénario, encore là, les gros joueurs sont tous là: Normand Bergeron, Benoit Pilon, Marc Robitaille – Le club Vinland, Sophie Dupuis – Souterrain, Philippe Falardeau – My Salinger Year, Catherine Léger – La déesse des mouches à feu, Daniel Roby – Target Number One.

Du côté des actrices, on retrouve Émilie Bierre pour Les nôtres, Marie-Evelyne Lessard pour Jusqu’au déclin, l’actrice américaine Margaret Qualley pour My Salinger Year, Karelle Tremblay pour la coproduction Death of a Ladies’ Man, ainsi que Sarah Sutherland pour Like a House on Fire.

Les acteurs en lice pour l’Iris sont Réal Bossé pour Jusqu’au déclin, Paul Doucet pour Les nôtres, Patrick Hivon pour Mont Foster, Antoine Olivier Pilon pour Target Number One, et Sébastien Ricard pour Le club Vinland.

Dans les catégories « rôle de soutien », on retrouve Sophie Desmarais pour Vacarme, Marianne Farley pour Les nôtres, Éléonore Loiselle et Caroline Néron pour La déesse des mouches à feu, et la mythique Sigourney Weaver pour My Salinger Year chez les dames. 

Chez ces messieurs, les finalistes sont Normand D’Amour et  Robin L’Houmeau pour La déesse des mouches à feu, Rémy Girard pour Le club Vinland, ainsi que James Hyndman et Théodore Pellerin pour Souterrain.

La catégorie Révélation de l’année est l’une des plus intéressantes selon moi, car c’est un aperçu des visages marquants du cinéma des prochaines années. D’ailleurs, Émilie Bierre et Théodore Pellerin, en nomination cette année respectivement pour un premier rôle féminin et un rôle de soutien masculin, font partie des lauréats passés du prix Révélation. Donc, en 2021, les finalistes sont :  Kelly Depeault – La déesse des mouches à feu, Jasmine Lemée – Mon cirque à moi, Rosalie Pépin – Vacarme, Joakim Robillard – Souterrain et Arnaud Vachon – Le club Vinland.

Artists support Palestinian refugee Omar Ben Ali’s struggle for status in Montréal

Omar Ben Ali is a Palestinian father, worker and community activist who has been living in Montréal for nearly a decade. Successive Canadian governments have failed to live up to their responsibilities to address the question of Omar's status and statelessness.

Arriving in Canada in 2008, from the Jenin region in the occupied West Bank, Omar applied for refugee status and was refused. At the time, the Canadian government demonstrated little consideration of the well-documented reality of the systemic violence faced by Palestinians in the Israeli occupied West Bank on a daily basis. A recent Human Rights Watch report notes :

“Israel enforces severe and discriminatory restrictions on Palestinians’ human rights, and it builds and supports unlawful settlements in the occupied West Bank. Its security forces appear to use excessive force against Palestinian demonstrators and suspected attackers, raising the spectre of extra-judicial killings. It has renewed the practice of punitive home demolitions.”

Despite this refusal, Canada has never fairly addressed Omar’s case- leaving him without status, but unable to return to Palestine. Instead, Omar has been living in stateless limbo for close to a decade.

Today, Omar is working hard in the city as a low-wage worker, unable to travel or visit his family in occupied Palestine and without the full rights of a permanent resident or a Canadian citizen. Given the governing Liberal Party of Canada’s rhetoric of supporting the rights of refugees and the fact that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau literally campaigned in support of the rights of Syrian refugees in the last election, we point to the fact that today Trudeau’s policies are failing many refugees.

A father of seven children, he has been separated from his wife and family for nearly a decade. Despite these obstacles, Omar has built a meaningful and important life in Montréal. A member of the Palestinian community, he has participated in many community events and is a well-known fixture in larger networks supporting struggles for justice in this city.

As artists living in Montréal, the well being and dignity of all people living in this city is central to our spirit. Today, we write this letter because we can’t remain silent as Omar Ben Ali continues to suffer and we call on the Canadian government to take action to grant Omar status. Just the simple fact that Omar is unable to return to occupied Palestine, due to the restrictions and controls of the Israeli military occupation, illustrates to us clearly that Omar urgently needs status in Canada, for the Canadian government to allow him to live in stateless limbo is irresponsible and inhumane.

As artists, we feel it is important to express our support and to speak out in solidarity with Omar Ben Ali. Our work is rooted in expressing the spirit of life and beautiful moments, but also the struggles we all face to overcome adversity and injustice. Within this context, we extend our solidarity, our hearts and our love to Omar Ben Ali.

Omar Ben Ali est un père, un travailleur et un activiste communautaire Palestinien qui vit à Montréal depuis près d’une décennie. Les gouvernements canadiens successifs ont failli à leurs responsabilités pour régler la question du statut et de l'apatridie d'Omar.

Arrivé au Canada en août 2008 de la région de Jenin en Cisjordanie occupée, Omar voit sa demande de statut de réfugié refusée. À l’époque, Immigration Canada démontra peu de considération à l’égard de la violence systémique et quotidienne – pourtant bien documentée – subie par les Palestiniens vivant sous l’occupation israélienne en Cisjordanie occupée. En effet, selon un rapport de 2017 par Human Rights Watch :

« Israël applique des restrictions sévères et discriminatoires sur les droits humains des Palestiniens, en plus de construire et de soutenir des colonies illégales en Cisjordanie occupée. Les forces de sécurité israéliennes semblent utiliser une force excessive à l’encontre des manifestants et des présumés attaquants, ce qui soulève le spectre des meurtres extrajudiciaires. Israël a renouvelé la pratique de démolitions punitives des maisons . »

Malgré ce refus, le Canada n'a jamais traité équitablement le cas d'Omar : le laissant sans statut, mais incapable de retourner en Palestine. Ainsi, Omar vit dans les limbes apatrides depuis près d'une décennie.

Aujourd'hui, Omar travaille fort dans la ville de Montréal en tant que travailleur à faible revenu –  incapable de voyager ou de rendre visite à sa famille en Palestine occupée – et sans les pleins droits d'un-e résident-e permanent-e ou d'un citoyen-ne canadien-ne. Compte tenu de la rhétorique du Parti libéral du Canada sur son soi-disant soutien aux droits des réfugié-e-s et compte tenu que le premier ministre Justin Trudeau a littéralement fait campagne en faveur des droits des réfugié-e-s syrien-ne-s lors des dernières élections, nous soulignons que les politiques de Trudeau échouent à beaucoup de réfugié-e-s aujourd'hui.

Père de sept enfants, Omar est maintenant séparé de sa femme et de sa famille depuis près d’une décennie. Malgré tous ces obstacles, Omar a su développer une vie impliquée, significative et importante à Montréal. Membre précieux de la communauté Palestinienne, il a participé à plusieurs évènements communautaires et est bien connu au sein des réseaux plus larges soutenant les luttes pour la justice à Montréal.

En tant qu'artistes vivant à Montréal, le bien-être et la dignité de tous les habitant-e-s de cette ville sont au cœur de notre esprit. Aujourd'hui, nous écrivons cette lettre parce que nous ne pouvons pas rester silencieux-ses alors qu’Omar Ben Ali continue de souffrir : nous demandons au gouvernement canadien d'agir pour obtenir le statut d'Omar. Le simple fait qu'Omar soit incapable de retourner en Palestine occupée, en raison des restrictions et des contrôles de l'occupation militaire israélienne, nous démontre clairement qu'Omar a un besoin urgent de statut au Canada et qu’il est irresponsable et inhumain de le maintenir dans les limbes apatrides.

En tant qu'artistes, nous croyons qu'il est important d'exprimer notre soutien et de nous exprimer en solidarité avec Omar Ben Ali. Notre travail est enraciné dans l'expression de l'esprit de la vie et des beaux moments, mais aussi dans les luttes auxquelles nous sommes tous et toutes confronté-e-s pour surmonter l'adversité et l'injustice. Dans ce contexte, nous étendons notre solidarité, nos coeurs et notre amour à Omar Ben Ali.

CANTLON'S CORNER: PACK PREPARE FOR ANOTHER PAIR OF GAMES

BY: Gerry Cantlon, Howlings HARTFORD, CT - Another pair of weekend home games await the Hartford Wolf Pack. One is a divisional opponent who has owned them the past three years, the Springfield Thunderbirds. The others are non-divisional opponents who they've struggled with, the Rochester Americans, who they will play on Sunday afternoon. For Pack Head Coach, Kris Knoblauch, he's worried more about where his club is at this point in terms of their development than his opponent to some degree to this point in the season. While he was happy last weekend, he wasn’t satisfied with their team game last week. “You like the four points, but we easily could have lost both those games. The Charlotte game we left too many open areas, too many great chances and thankfully Shesty (goalie Igor Shestyorkin) played so well. We have a long way to go. Right now, I’m focused on our team and getting guys into our systems. We're adjusting to our team at this point and working on our identity.” The addition of Nick Ebert, who came to Hartford in the Vladimir Namestnikov deal, was a surprise in that the New York Rangers added yet another defenseman to an already deep organizational chart. Ebert has had only moderate success as a pro and spent some time in Europe. He a known quantity to Knoblauch. “We have tough decisions to make, and we liked how our defense played for the most part over the weekend. We're always looking to improve our team. He brings experience, is a good skater, moves the puck well and has a good shot. I’ll be honest, I’m surprised he hasn’t scored as much at the American (Hockey) League level. I coached against him in juniors. He was a very strong offensive player. It seems last year he has gotten his offensive game back,” said Knoblauch. Ebert played with Orebro HK (Sweden-SHL). His addition to the roster forced the team to move Brandon Crawley to their ECHL affiliate, the Maine Mariners. “We want Brandon to get playing time, and right now we are filled up on defense, and he’ll be a part of our recalls.” Knoblauch is getting an early tutorial on fluidity of AHL rosters. “I’m really learning it now about how much things can change. We want to win every night, but we are a development league. You have to learn to balance those things appropriately.” Ebert wasn’t the only new defenseman that Knoblauch had out on the ice. Yegor Rykov (pronounced Ree-kov) has been sent down and skated for the first time on Thursday since suffering an ankle injury in the Traverse City tournament. He isn’t likely to see game action for likely two more weeks, which will likely necessitate another reassignment to Maine. “He has started first with drills. He's getting back on the ice, and today was his first full (team) practice. It’s gonna be a few more weeks before he is game ready. I saw him in Traverse City (before the injury), and we were very pleased with what we saw. Now it's about getting that timing back.” The lineup will likely see a new, familiar face in Ryan Gropp. He was scratched last weekend and Knoblauch is eager to have him in the lineup. “We really liked him in the pre-season. He showed a very good shot and I really want to get him in the mix. I haven’t worked out my (lineup) details yet, but we'll be seeing him.” Vitali Kravtsov will be in the lineup, and the coach thinks the student understands things better. ‘We showed him some video. He’s aware he didn’t play well. We had a very hard team practice Tuesday and he was very competitive." Saturday’s game is a part of hockey doubleheader with UCONN and RPI starting at 3:30 pm and a 7:30 pm faceoff time with the Springfield Thunderbirds. NOTES: The Thunderbirds will be minus forward Paul Thompson, who was handed a two-game suspension for a blindside hit on Bridgeport’s Thomas Hickey last Friday in the regular-season opener. Sunday’s opponent, the Rochester Americans, will have a very familiar face in their lineup. Tage Thompson (Orange/UCONN), who scored two goals last weekend including an OT game-winner. Landon Ferraro, the son of former Whaler, Ray Ferraro, who was with Iowa last year signs with Eisbaren Berlin (Germany-DEL). The two are the 71st and 72nd AHL’ers from last season to sign in Europe. Brandon Whistle, the nephew of former New Haven Nighthawk, Rob Whistle, goes from Sheffield (England-EIHL) and signs with Telford (England-NIHL). Mark Arcobello (Milford/Fairfield Prep/Salisbury Prep/Yale University) is playing with SC Bern (SwItzerland-LNA) with 10 points in 10 games. He signs a deal to play for HC Lugano (Switzerland-LNA) next season 2020-21. Philippe Hudon (Choate Prep) goes from Allen (ECHL) to Norfolk (ECHL). Congrats to former New Haven Nighthawks player and head coach, Robbie Ftorek, who was among the four new inductees to the AHL Hall of Fame on Thursday. Joining him are Darren Haydar, Denis Hamel, and Fred Thurler. The ceremony will take place in Ontario, CA site of the AHL All Star Classic the first to be held at a Pacific Division city. Ftorek ended his NHL career with the Rangers. He started out as a child prodigy in the Bobby Orr era at Needham High (MA). Played two years for the Red Wings affiliate Tidewater Wings before he left for the WHA and the Phoenix Roadrunners and Cincinnati Stingers (one of the best logos ever). He was the first and only American captain in the history of the Quebec Nordiques WHA or NHL. Ftorek played with New Haven accumulating 16 points in 17 games in New Haven in 1984-85. His last active game as a player was in New Haven the following season. Ftorek, who was a Guilford resident when he was in New Haven and was the head coach there for two-and-a-half seasons before getting the call to Los Angeles, but stayed there just a year-and-a-half. He had other AHL coaching stints in Halifax with the Citadels and the Utica Devils before he had a strong three-year stint with the highly successful Albany River Rats, before having a four-year coaching tenure in New Jersey. Ftorek returned to his roots spending two years with the Boston Bruins before heading back for a second stint in Albany where he had another strong three year period of winning and development. Ftorek also went the junior route spending six years as the head coach with the Erie (Otters (OHL) before a year as an assistant with Abbotsford. He concluded his coaching career with Norfolk (ECHL). UCONN hockey has its first two home games this weekend Friday night at 7 pm against the Army Black Knights (AHA). Saturday, in another non-conference matchup, with the RPI Engineers (ECACHL) at 3:30 pm. The school’s 2000 MAAC championship team will be honored throughout the day. The championship trophy will be on display on the concourse The Huskies earned a 3-3 tie with Sacred Heart University in their opener in Bridgeport, last week who they have yet to beat since going Division I. The Huskies Jachym Kondelik scored. Fellow Nashville Predator draftee, Tomas Vomacka, was sensational in net making 45 saves despite the hat trick by the Pioneers, Matt Tugnutt, icing his game-tying goal with three seconds left in regulation forcing overtime. Earlier in the week, SNY announced the time and dates for the first-ever Connecticut Ice Festival tournament in Bridgeport at the Webster Bank Arena in late January. The Huskies will kick-off the collegiate tournament against the Quinnipiac University Bobcats at 4 pm on Saturday, January 25th followed by Sacred Heart University playing the Yale University Bulldogs. Sus inclinaciones musicales lo llevaron siempre a escribir las letras de sus canciones e incluso a interpretarlas. Tras el éxito de su primer álbum Amo a París, trabajó con varios grandes del jazz como Miles Davis y John Coltrane en su siguiente álbum Legrand jazz.

Cuando comenzó a trabajar en música para filmes, obtuvo un gran éxito, ya que no sólo componía canciones pegadizas sino que componía material orquestal de un fuerte sentido lírico. Su más conocido trabajo es Los paraguas de Cherburgode 1963, un clásico del cine musical europeo y la primera película completamente cantada y protagonizada por la joven Catherine Deneuve. Asimismo escribió la música de Las señoritas de Rochefort de 1965.

Mucha de su música estaba destinada a películas francesas (como las del director Jean-Luc Godard), aunque también se implicó en la producción de películas estadounidenses, como The Thomas Crown affair (con su conocido tema The Windmills of Your Mind, 'Los molinos de tu pensamiento'), Verano del 42 y Yentl. Compuso la música de las series infantiles de televisión Érase una vez... el espacio(1981) y Érase una vez... la vida(1986). En la década de los 80 y 90 acompañó con su banda a estrellas como Björk, Ray Charles, Diana Ross y otros, trabajando también con cantantes de ópera como Jessye Norman, Kiri Te Kanawa y Natalie Dessay. Ha recibido 27 nominaciones al Premio Grammy, ganándolo en cinco oportunidades.

Henri Demarquette, nacido en 1970, tenía 13 años cuando asistió al Conservatorio Nacional Superior de Música de París, estudiando con Philippe Muller y Maurice Gendron. Fue premiado con un premio por unanimidad y trabajó con Pierre Fournier y Paul Tortelier antes de tomar clases de Janos Starker en Bloomington, Estados Unidos. Familiarizado con el escenario cuando tenía 14 años, Demarquette hizo su debut en concierto a los 17 con un recital en el Théâtre du Châtelet de París y una grabación para France 3 Television con la pianista Hélène Grimaud. Llamó la atención de Lord Yehudi Menuhin, que lo invitó a tocar el Concierto de Dvorák en Praga y París, con la dirección de Menuhin.

Su carrera ha sido internacional desde entonces, llevándolo a muchas capitales en compañía de las mayores orquestas francesas e internacionales: la Orquesta Nacional de Francia, la Filarmónica de Londres, la Orquesta de Cámara de Viena, el Orchestral Ensemble de París, la Sinfónica de Tokio, la Orquesta Nacional Burdeos-Aquitania, la Symphonia Varsovia o la Neue Philharmonie Westphalen. También ha aparecido con sus compañeros de piano favoritos Brigitte Engerer, Michel Dalberto y Boris Berezovsky.

Des vidéos en direct pour la Sépaq, Aubainerie se prépare à la rentrée scolaire et la Banque Nationale souligne la Coupe Rogers à sa façon: voici les réalisations publicitaires ayant retenu l'attention d'Infopresse aujourd'hui.

Des vidéos promotionnelles en direct pour la Sépaq

Pour faire découvrir aux usagers les différentes activités de la Sépaq tout en générant de l'engagement sur la page Facebook de l'institution, Lg2 a concoctée des vidéos en direct de type «hackvertising» qui agissent comme autant d'outils promotionnels.

Chaque vidéo en direct correspond à une «promotion éclair», qui permet de profiter d'un rabais actif uniquement pour la durée de la dite vidéo. Fait a noter: les vidéos se terminent lorsque l'objectif d'un événement spécifique est atteint, comme par exemple lorsqu'un poisson mord à l'hameçon d'une pêcheuse.

Aubainerie fait appel à la nostalgie

Cette nouvelle campagne d'Aubanerie, signée Tux, s'inscrit dans la foulée de la plateforme de marque En mode créatif, lancée par la marque en 2017, et qui faisait prendre au détaillant un virage de type style de vie dans la réalisation de ses vidéos et photos.

Dans cette plus récente exécution, quatre enfants se retrouvent à la fin de leur journée d’école, tout juste avant de rentrer à la maison. Au volant de leurs vélos et trottinettes, les gamins explorent les rues et découvrent un quartier typique de banlieue de la Belle Province - un décor choisi afin de souligner les racines du détaillant québécois de vêtements.

L'offensive se décline en un message télé de 30 secondes, en deux vidéos de 15 et 30 secondes conçus pour le web, en affichage, en imprimé et en numérique.

Véritable tremplin pour de nombreux jeunes francophones, cette école est devenue ainsi un véritable pilier de la communauté francophone.

L’église Sacré-Cœur

La paroisse du Sacré-Cœur est rapidement devenue un centre spirituel pour les paroissiens francophones venus d’horizons multiples. Fondée en 1887 par le père Philippe Lamarche, cette église catholique accueille ses fidèles qui peuvent prier en français. Elle a été agrandie en 1951 compte tenu du nombre croissant de fidèles francophones.

La manufacture de Gendron

Cette imposante usine de brique a été construite par l’ingénieur canadien français Peter Gendron en 1895. Cette usine servait à produire des bicyclettes, tricycles mais également poussettes de poupée dotées de roues légères à rayons métalliques. Durant vos vacances à Toronto, vous pouvez encore admirer cette vieille bâtisse qui s’est transformée en local pour d’autres entreprises.

La marque à l'export "French Healthcare" se dote d'une gouvernance

Près d'un an après sa création, la marque à l'export "French Healthcare", visant à valoriser le savoir-faire hexagonal à l'international, a tenu la semaine dernière sa première assemblée générale et élu Jean-François Gendron à sa présidence, a annoncé l'organisation dans un communiqué jeudi.

Cousine de la marque French Tech, French Healthcare a été lancé en grande pompe au Quai d'Orsay en mars 2017 par l'ex-ministre des affaires étrangères et du développement international, Jean-Marc Ayrault (cf dépêche du 16/03/2017 à 10:38).

Cette marque à l'export, structurée sous forme d'association, regroupe pouvoirs publics, entreprises, experts, ainsi que des acteurs hospitaliers et universitaires dans le but de mettre en valeur le savoir-faire du pays à l'international en matière hospitalière, industrielle et d'innovation en santé.

Sa première assemblée générale s'est tenue mercredi dans les locaux de Business France en vue d'élire ses instances de gouvernance.

Jean-François Gendron, président de la chambre de commerce et d'industrie des Pays-de-la-Loire et vice-président de la société HaCare (spécialisée dans le mobilier médical), a été élu président.

Pierre Savart, directeur des opérations internationales du Leem (Les entreprises du médicament), sera trésorier et le secrétariat sera assuré par Florent Surugue, responsable PME et développement économique du Snitem (Syndicat national de l'industrie des technologies médicales).

Le conseil d'administration est également composé de:

·         Philippe Maugendre (Sanofi)

·         Samuel Sancerni (DMS Imaging)

·         Robert Sigal (hôpital américain de Paris)

·         Edouard de Tinguy (Urgo).

Cité dans le communiqué, le nouveau président fait savoir que l'initiative "n’est pas seulement la compilation des expertises françaises en matière de santé, c’est aussi la promotion de notre vision de la santé. [...] C’est pour cela que French Healthcare est à la fois un réseau, une association et une marque".

Ses trois "chantiers prioritaires" consisteront à développer l'offre de service, structurer l'organisation et définir l'offre sur la base de partenariats stratégiques, dont les deux premiers ont été signés mercredi avec Business France et Expertise France.

Ces conventions permettront à French Healthcare de bénéficier de l’expertise et de l’expérience de ces deux structures, qui proposeront leurs prestations aux adhérents du réseau, est-il indiqué. L'accord avec Business France permettra en particulier de faciliter l’accès des adhérents à sa base de données appels d’offres Proao.
