For How Long!?! -Extras
Tumblr media
Extra 1: Y/N Y/L/N - Timeline
-°•°•°•°•--•°•°•°•°--°•°•°•°•--•°•°•°•°-
Pairing: Logan Sargeant x fem!driver!Reader. Oscar Piastri x reader (platonic), Arthur Leclerc x reader (platonic), Mick Schumacher x reader (platonic)...
Warnings: None that I can see.
Notes: This isn't a SMAU (sorry). Also this could be added to/altered. And I hope to put out the next chapter pretty soon...
Also!!! I got way too far into writing this before finding out that a driver can only win F2 once (or rather after they win it, they can't return)....so for my own sanity, that rule doesn't exist or if it does then it came into place after Y/N won 5 championships😅
-°•°•°•°•--•°•°•°•°--°•°•°•°•--•°•°•°•°-
2012- Age 11
Y/N Signed with Red Bull Racing for them to sponsor her in her karting career. This was a part of the Red Bull Recruiting Scheme (RBRS).
2017- Age 16
Y/N becomes the first woman to race in The F3 European Championship. She goes on to come second in the drivers championship.
2018- Age 17
Y/N meets F3 rookie Oscar Piastri and the two become friends (they still are to this day). She wins the F3 championship and recieves an offer to move up the ranks and into Formula 2. She runs into Logan Sargeant, he asks her out and the two start dating yet don't tell a soul.
2019- Age 18
Y/L/N Moves Up to Formula 2 into the newly established Red Bull Racing Formula 2 Team. The RBRS terminates any connection with lower leagues of racing but establishes a Formula 2 team. Y/L/N is the first woman to ever enter F2. She also signs as Red Bull's F1 reserve driver. Y/N even stood in for (and came 3rd in) a race after Pierre Gasly became extremely ill. This makes her the first woman to ever get on the podium in an F1 race and also one of the youngest drivers to ever start a race.
Y/N meets driver Mick Schumacher and the two become good friends despite their different teams. Y/N went on to come second in the championship, narrowly missing Nyck de Vries for points. She is also awarded the Anthoine Hubert award.
2020- Age 19
Y/N once again, comes runner up in the Formula 2 championship by loosing to her good friend Mick Schumacher by a few points.
Red Bull Racing renew a contract for the next 2 years to be a team in Formula 2 and they sign Y/N's new teammate, Liam Lawson. Y/N continues to race for them and for the third year in a row, she comes second in the Formula 2 championship due to a technically issue with the car causing her to DNF (huge scandal in the F2 world). The media also sees Y/L/N "meeting" rookie Logan Sargeant and the pair become extremely close...
2021- Age 20
2022- Age 21
Liam Lawson swaps teams to race for Carlin with Logan Sargeant. Y/L/N once again comes second in the F2 championship. People are confused by her lack of wins or lack of moving to other motorsports categories (especially with her F1 podium in the past). Y/L/N is unable to win due to the amount of races and points missed by driving in F1 (as a reserve driver). She does however score many more points and podiums in F1.
2023- Age 22
In mid December, Y/N receives a call from Aston Martin F1 executives. They invite her to have a meeting about possibly racing for them that year. Y/N goes to the meeting and leaves having signed for Aston Martin Aramco F1 team for the 2024 season. This is because Lance Stroll dropped out for undisclosed "personal reasons"
Y/N meets Arthur Leclerc. The pair become very good friends - this is aided by Logan Sargeant and Oscar Piastri's Formula 1 debuts and subsequent exits from the F2 scene. Y/N wins the F2 championship finally, making history for women in motorsport. Not long after, Red Bull announces the retirement of their RBRS programme and they pull out of junior motorsports to "focus on the current success of [their] Formula 1 team"
2024- Age 22 (not yet 23)
It is publicly announced that Y/N Y/L/N is replacing Lance Stroll to race at Aston Martin for the 2024 season...

The Box to Box Films co-founder believes French driver Pierre Gasly, 27, who will line up for Alpine this season, could “fill the gap” left by Ricciardo.
“For me, Gasly has always been in that role as well. The show’s been on this amazing journey with Pierre and I feel quite emotionally attached to him,” Martin explained.
“We’ve seen him go through some incredible lows: the season where he was demoted [from Red Bull Racing] and Anthoine [Hubert] died. So to see him finally get a chance again in a competitive car is going to be great.
“He’s grown on screen as a driver and as a person, so I think he’ll be someone who will really fill the gap that Daniel leaves.”

Drive to Survive producer says F1 Netflix show wouldn't have existed without Daniel Ricciardo
Drive to Survive producer says the hit Netflix show wouldn't have existed without Daniel Ricciardo: 'I felt very emotional with him leaving' Drive to Survive producer praises Daniel Ricciardo Paul Martin says Aussie carried the smash-hit show  Martin says Ricciardo may show up more in series By James Cooney For Daily Mail Australia Published: 04:56 GMT, 20 February 2023 | Updated: 04:56 GMT, 20 February 2023 Drive to Survive executive producer Paul Martin believes the wildly popular documentary series wouldn't exist without Aussie Daniel Ricciardo, and he was sad to see him leave. Since its debut in 2018, Drive to Survive has offered viewers behind-the-scenes footage of the Formula One season, providing interviews with drivers, team principals and other key figures throughout each campaign. The series has proven extremely popular with viewers and has resulted in an explosion of interest in Formula One, with viewing figures of the sport almost doubling in recent years.  Ricciardo, 33, became one of the most popular characters in the smash-hit show, but now that the Aussie has failed to secure a seat on the 2023 grid, it's unlikely fans will be seeing much more of him in the show. Marlene Dietrich and Jean Gabin in Martin Roumagnac (Georges Lacombe, 1946) Cast: Marlene Dietrich, Jean Gabin, Jean d'Yd, Daniel Gélin, Jean Darcante, Margo Lion, Marcel Herrand. Screenplay: Pierre Véry, Georges Lacombe, based on a novel by Pierre-René Wolf. Cinematography: Roger Hubert. Production design: Georges Wakhévitch. Film editing: Germaine Artus. Music: Marcel Mirouze This overheated and forgettable melodrama should have been better, given that Marlene Dietrich and Jean Gabin were lovers and were both making their postwar returns to European filmmaking. It's watchable but mainly for Dietrich, who was trying to overcome her old image as a Hollywood diva and allows herself to be filmed in natural light for once, and for a mad courtroom scene featuring a defense lawyer who behaves like a Daumier caricature. Gabin grumps about in a role that would have been better if he and Dietrich had the kind of on-screen chemistry that they supposedly had off-screen.

» Les équipages: - Arthur HUBERT & Colombe JULIA: MonAtoutEnergie.fr - Arnaud MACHADO & Lucie KERUEL: Du Léman à l’Océan - Elodie BONAFOUS & Martin LE PAPE: Queguiner - La vie en rose - Guillaume PIROUELLE & Sophie FAGUET: Région Normandie - Corentin HOREAU & Pauline COURTOIS: Mutuelle Bleue - Maël GARNIER & Julia COURTOIS: Ageas - Ballay - Cerfrance - Baie de Saint-Brieuc - Chloé LE BARS & Hugo DHALENNE: Région Bretagne - CMB Océane - Gaston MORVAN & Anne-Claire LE BERRE: Région Bretagne - CMB Performance - Loïs BERREHAR & Charlotte YVEN: Skipper MACIF - Camille BERTEL & Pierre LEBOUCHER: CAP INGELEC - Edouard GOLBERY & Alicia DE PFYFFER: Race for Science - Basile BOURGNON & Violette DORANGE: EDENRED

THE PORTRAIT OF THE ARTIST IN 18th-CENTURY FRANCE
Portraits by French artists of their colleagues abound in the 18th century. This was not the result of a demand for images of artists, sculptors or engravers, but a reflection of certain realities of artistic education and professional advancement under the ancien régime.
In the hierarchy of genres established by the Académie Royale, portraiture was second only to history painting. Having yet to attract an illustrious clientele, students wishing to demonstrate their portraiture abilities, often called on each other to serve as subjects.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thus, the most accomplished and renowned portrait painter of the last two decades of Louis XIV’s reign, Hyacinthe Rigaud, first demonstrated his talents in the 1690s painting multiple portraits of his fellow junior academicians Charles de la Fosse and the Flemish sculptor known in France as Martin Desjardins. Academic painters used portraits for subtle political purposes as well. To commemorate his appointment as the director of the academy in 1691, Pierre Mignard commissioned the young Rigaud to paint his official portrait. Rigaud in turn exhibited the portrait in the salon of 1704. This gesture of homage to Mignard was also an unstated declaration of Rigaud’s anomosity towards Mignard’s arch-rival, Charles LeBrun, who had pressured prix-de-Rome winner Rigaud into foregoing his séjour in Rome. Rigaud used the Mignard portrait to express his hostility to LeBrun again in 1712, by donating the picture to the academy on the condition that it be hung next to Largillière’s portrait of LeBrun.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stemming from the prohibition of women from attending life drawing classes and their subsequent disqualification from history painting, women artists had few opportunities for painting the male figure. Female portraitists could, however, call upon their male counterparts to sit for portraits without impropriety. These works would then serve as demonstration pieces advertising their abilitities. Marie-Suzanne Roslin became one of only four women to gain admission to the academy, with her accomplished portrait of the sculptor and academician Pigalle serving as her morceau de réception.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Élisabeth Vigée-Lebrun’s portrait of her friends and fellow painters Joseph Vernet and Hubert Robert not only proved to prospective clients that prodigious technical skill could be achieved outside the academy, but also associated her work with the most advanced artistic currents of the period.

Max Verstappen demands 'better protection' at Spa following death of 18-year-old Dilano van 'T Hoff
F1 world champion Max Verstappen demands drivers are given 'better protection' at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit following the 'incredibly sad' death of 18-year-old Dutch driver Dilano van 'T Hoff By Ryan Walker For Mailonline Published: 14:01 EDT, 1 July 2023 | Updated: 14:07 EDT, 1 July 2023 Formula One world champion Max Verstappen has labelled the death of 18-year-old Dutch driver Dilano van 'T Hoff as 'incredibly sad'. The young prodigy tragically died during a crash at Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday while competing in the Formula Regional European Championship.  Van 'T Hoff was involved in a shocking incident occurred during a wet final race at the Belgian circuit that saw him spinning out of control before colliding with another car. Footage showed that, due to the rainy conditions on the track, the MP Motorsport driver was unable to maintain control of his race car and his death was tragically confirmed later in the day. Verstappen joined other F1 racers posting their condolences on social media in the immediate aftermath and speaking later in the day insisted the sport must do more to 'protect drivers'. F1 world champion Max Verstappen (pictured) has spoken out following the tragic death of 18-year-old Dutch driver Dilano van 'T Hoff Van 'T Hoff died on Saturday after crashing at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium The Red Bull star highlighted his belief that the tragic crash could have been avoided, explaining: 'It's incredibly sad. 'I didn't know him personally, he was an up and coming Dutch racing driver. He had the same dreams we had, when we were that age wanting to get to F1.  'It is incredibly sad for the whole family and the team MP Motorsport. We have to look into these situations,' he added. 'It is easy to blame the track but looking at how wet it was and these kind of things we have to look at it for the future to look at what we can do better to protect drivers, because I think today was unnecessary clearly.' The devastating crash that resulted in the Van 'T Hoff losing his life occurred four years after Anthoine Hubert was killed in the same section of the track in an F2 race. Van 'T Hoff appeared to spin out amid the rain before another driving collided into him  Aston Martin's Lance Stroll insisted the Spa circuit needs to be 'looked at and changed' Verstappen and his fellow F1 competitors will head to the circuit on July 30 for the 13th race of the calendar. Various track improvements were made in the past three years with run-off areas around Raidillon and Eau Rouge lengthened to avoid cars that get into difficulties bouncing back into traffic. However, the recent tragedy has prompted further calls for change with Aston Martin's Lance Stroll and Alpine's Pierre Gasly vocal in their assessments of the circuit. 'That corner needs to be looked at and changed, because we lost two young talents in like five years,' said Stroll. Gasly added: 'It reminds me of situations I've been in the younger categories in Spa,' he said. 'In similar conditions and being fully honest, there were times I did feel in massive danger just with poor visibility and various situations where it just feels pretty unsafe.'  Share or comment on this article: Max Verstappen demands 'better protection' at Spa following death of 18-year-old Dilano van 'T Hoff via Formula One | Mail Online https://www.dailymail.co.uk?ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490&ito=1490
