When became parlasyed for rest of my life, looking at myself in the mirror was not as easy as you may think. Something as simple as every day you wake up to,brush your teeth,wash your face,put creams on is to look at ourselves in the mirror with.I spent months without mirrors in beginning in my hosiptal phase because i couldnt face up to seeing my new life in a wheelchair. What i was going through was a process of coming to terms with what had happened to me.I was suffering with years of assualt and injuries i sustained on duty,all that came flooding back and my ptsd of everyday nightmares. Getting help from CBT and pyschotherpists helped me come to terms with the past,present,what happened& my reality. I then started using mirrors and saw that i didnt have the bruising, swelling, dislocated jaw,black& blue eyes,nose ,bloody lips that was my past affected by my ptsd. My brain was living in the assaults the fear of being injured again.All i could see was seeing the offenders every where and in my nightmares. The mirrors were my fears but not anymore. I started seeing myself in the present. I started seeing myself as a survivor& fighter,i started seeing myself as beautiful woman&mother,i started seeing myself as confident inspiring woman . कोविड त्रासदी में पुलिस ने सबसे महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई - हर्ष वर्धन अग्रवाल 21.10.2023, लखनऊ | पुलिस स्मृति दिवस के अवसर पर हेल्प यू एजुकेशनल एंड चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट द्वारा शहीद पुलिसकर्मियों को "श्रद्धांपूर्ण पुष्पांजलि" का आयोजन ट्रस्ट के इंदिरा नगर स्थित कार्यालय, 25/2G, सेक्टर-25 में किया गया | कार्यक्रम में हेल्प यू एजुकेशनल एंड चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट के प्रबंध न्यासी हर्ष वर्धन अग्रवाल, न्यासी डॉ रूपल अग्रवाल व ट्रस्ट के स्वयंसेवकों ने लद्दाख के हॉट स्प्रिंग क्षेत्र में चीनी सैनिकों द्वारा हमले में शहीद दस भारतीय पुलिसकर्मियों की स्मृति में पुलिस स्मारक के चित्र पर माल्यार्पण एवं पुष्पार्पण करके, शहीद पुलिसकर्मियों को भावपूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि दी | इस अवसर पर हेल्प यू एजुकेशनल एंड चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट के प्रबंध न्यासी हर्ष वर्धन अग्रवाल ने कहा कि "प्रति वर्ष 21 अक्टूबर को देश की सेवा करते हुए अपनी जान गंवाने वाले 10 CRPF जवानों की शहादत को याद करने के लिए पुलिस स्मृति दिवस मनाया जाता है । इस दिन के पीछे एकमात्र विचार हॉट स्प्रिंग्स में चीनी सैनिकों के हमले के दौरान मारे गए बहादुरों के बलिदान और श्रद्धांजलि को याद करना है । देश के रक्षक के रूप में पुलिस के जवान निरंतर अपना कर्तव्य निभाते हैं व उन्हीं कर्तव्यों को निभाते हुए अपनी जान की बाजी लगा देते हैं | चाहे सीमाओं की सुरक्षा हो, आतंकवाद का सामना करना हो, नक्सलियों का सामना करना हो या सड़क पर चुपचाप व्यवस्था सुधारने का काम हो सभी में पुलिस के जवान मुस्तैदी से अपनी भूमिका का निर्वहन कर रहे हैं । यह कहना अतिशयोक्ति न होगा कि आज जो हम अपने-अपने घरों में शांतिपूर्वक जीवन बिता रहे हैं वह कहीं ना कहीं सीमा पर डटे हुए हमारे जवानों के कारण है | कोविड त्रासदी में पुलिस ने सबसे महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई | आज पुलिस स्मृति दिवस के अवसर पर हम सभी शहीद पुलिसकर्मियों के परिवारों के प्रति अत्यंत आदर के साथ कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करते हैं तथा उन्हें सादर नमन करते हैं |"
