from sad, dying, and frost bitten, to a teeny tiny little leaf growing out of its little stump, to finally starting to grow tall, and now it's got leaves galore :'))))) my baby polka dot begonia has been growing like CRAZY since i realized you're supposed to prune the crap out of them!! it loves it so much and has just boomed and it's so beautiful yayyyy!! the 2nd photo is pre-pruned about 2 months ago, 3rd photo was a few weeks later, and then just today!

*pant pant pant* YOU GUYS. I got to go to one of my favorite places on earth today; the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami, FL. We went a bunch when I was a kid, so I have memories from many places I didn't get to see today in the short hours we had there today and someday I'll get to spend a full day there...

Yes, ofc I took all the pictures, and YES you'll get to see them! I'll tag it like the dahlia show pictures (#dahlia show) uh once I finish posting those lol... everything will have the "#Fairchild" and "Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden" tags. If you search my blog for that second tag you'll also get pics from my last trip there in 2021...IMO my photography has improved since then. 😁

Names that I know: Dahlia Milena Fleur, Begonia Mistral, Cosmos Apricot Lemonade, Cosmos Rose Bonbon, Lantana Rose Sunrise and Osteospermum Bright Lights Purple, a Coleus whose name I’ve misplaced with a polka dot plant, Zinnia Isabellina, Lobelia Starship Blue with a white cosmos, heliopsis and hosta in the background, and a white cypress vine.
