One Piece - Warrior Cats AU, but it's a post-apo world with cats playing pirates to replace humans; here's the strawhats first!
Finally made small clean designs of the ideas i had for months haha- Not sure who i'll make next but there's so many characters i want to draw as cats hehe (i can take suggestions)
got some notes under cut
Monkeydawn: can't remember why i made him a colour point- Warrior cat names are a pirate thing, and Dawn is exclusive to the Ds. The ribbon is basically the strawhat here, given by Redscar (i didn't like the look of hats on cats-). Leader of Strawclan but he's bad at names so everyone named themselves
Mossthorn: gray oriental cat. Formerly named Thorn the Fox, Moss is a joke from Snail but also his favorite colour so- He's Clan deputy and a knife wielder, the harness is to keep them on his back.
Waveberry: long hair calico cat. Formerly named Wave, and was Wavestorm in the fishcats' clan. Berries are still a currency here but it sounded better than trying to fit Tangerine in her name. First warrior of the clan and terrain painter. Oh and there's Cloudstar too (names in -star are deities names)
Pebbleflight: black tabby cat. Formerly Pebble and had too many ideas for his pirate name. He grows poisonous plants for projectiles. Wanted as Flyingspark and then Pebblestar (he also has a star on his forehead like WC leaders have in fanarts!)
Snailswirl: Turkish van. Snail is a name he was given by Redleg (such a joke for a french cook but i love it), and Swirl is a joke from Moss. He's both a warrior and a med cat, his cooking experiments helping with faster recoveries.
Antlerfall: Neko no mi, model: lynx. Was named like a pirate by med cat Cherrytree, as his antlers disappear in his full lynx form. He's actually taller than most of the crew in all his forms. The one and only med reindeer !
Ravenbloom: russian blue. Went by the name Newmoon in Baroque Works, and is wanted as "Devilkit". She took back her childhood name Raven when joining the clan. Six legged most of the time because come on it's useful. Studies the extinction of humans (the existence of humans is still to be proven)
Blueflame: blue Mainecoon. Formerly named Littleflame, and renamed Blue by Iceberg, mixed both names when joining the crew. Lost his tail and badly injured his paws in the train accident, so the cyborg part is more like an exoskeleton. And hey, being six legged is fun. Assigned builder of the crew.
Whalesong: Siberian cat. Had his name from the black and white pattern of his fur making him look like an orca, and it fits with Laboon! So yes he is wearing his own fur because of course. His soul form also look like a typical starclan spirit fanarts, and starclan is an old pirate legend here.
Sharkstrike: fishcat! I'm so close to make a whole speculative evolution project about fishcats, but basically, they are cats if they had taken the same evolutionary path as whales. He's not a shark, he's still "just" a cat, but most fishcats are named after sea creatures.

Not sure which POS system is right for your business? Let us help!
If you're in the market for a new point of sale (POS) system, you might be feeling a little overwhelmed. With so many options on the market, it's tough to know where to start. Do you need a cloud-based system or one that resides on your premises? Should you get a tablet-based system or one that uses a more traditional desktop setup? And then there are all the different features to consider... pricing structures, integrations, payment processing, inventory management, and more.
Don't worry, we're here to help! In this blog post, we'll break down some of the most popular POS systems on the market and help you decide which one is right for your business.
Casio TE-2200 Cash Register
The Casio TE-2200 is a great option for businesses that want an easy-to-use POS system with all the basic features they need. This system has a built-in printer and can accommodate up to eight cash drawers, making it ideal for high-volume businesses. It also comes with an integrated debit/credit card reader and can be programmed with up to 2,000 PLUs (price lookups).
If you're looking for a cloud-based solution, this might not be the best option for you; however, if you're looking for a reliable POS system that won't break the bank, the Casio TE-2200 is definitely worth considering.
Shopify POS
Shopify is one of the most popular ecommerce platforms on the market, and their POS system is just as user-friendly and feature-rich as their online store builder. With Shopify POS, you can track inventory in real time, process payments quickly and easily, and manage customers with ease. One of our favorite features is Shopify's "Shop Pay" feature, which allows customers to save their payment information so they can check out faster next time they're in your store.
Shopify offers two different plans—Basic Shopify and Shopify—and both come with aPOS system. The main difference between the two plans is that Basic Shopify only allows you to connect two staff accounts while Shopify allows an unlimited number of staff accounts. Whichever plan you choose, you'll be getting a top-notch POS system.
Lightspeed Retail
Lightspeed Retail is another great option for small businesses that are looking for an all-in-one solution. With Lightspeed Retail, you can manage inventory across multiple locations in real-time, process payments quickly at the register, and keep track of customers with ease. This POS system also includes built-in reporting so you can track your sales and performance over time.
Like Shopify, Lightspeed Retail offers two different plans—Lightspeed Retail Basic and Lightspeed Retail Pro—and both come with access to the Lightspeed Retail POS system. The main difference between the two plans is that Lightspeed Retail Pro includes additional features like advanced reporting and CRM tools.
Tumblr media
Conclusion:
There are a lot of great POS systems on the market these days; it just depends on what features are most important to your business. If you're looking for an easy-to-use system with all the basic features you need, we recommend checking out Casio TE-2200 Cash Register. If you're looking for a cloud-based solution with advanced features like inventory management and customer tracking , we recommend checking out Shopify POS or Lightspeed Retail. No matter which system you choose, you can't go wrong!

Best e-commerce hosting in 2019
New Post has been published on https://ecoursesfree.com/awesome/best-e-commerce-hosting-in-2019/
Best e-commerce hosting in 2019
Got a great idea, service or product? Building a quality web store could help you sell it to the masses, and it& apos; s easier than you think.
Even basic website hosting schemes will often include core e-commerce functionality: templates for web stores, PayPal integration, easy installs for popular shopping carts.
Ramping up to specialist e-commerce schemes will got to get powerful product catalogues, stock inventory and other business management tools, and support for more payment methods.
While these products can be packed with features, even the high-end e-commerce schemes are designed to be simple to use. Choose a layout, fill in forms to build your product catalogue and your store will start to take shape. There& apos; s still work to do- opening an account to take credit card pays, perhaps- but even web store novices will be able to figure it out as they go along.
Prices are low, too, with one decent starter plan giving you three years hosting for PS1. 50 ($ 2.10) a few months, or a total of PS54 ($ 76) plus tax. If you& apos; re wondering about e-commerce but not quite sure whether it& apos; s right for you, this gives you a inexpensive and easy style to test your ideas.
Whether you& apos; re a total e-commerce newbie or you& apos; re already running a busy web store, we& apos; ve discovered five excellent hosting schemes that could take your selling to the next level.
If you& apos; re new to web selling, building your first store can seem complex and intimidating, but it doesn& apos; t always have to be that way.
Website builder Wix comes with some gorgeous store templates which can be freely customized via its excellent editor. Site design takes a far more visual approach than most of the rivalry, so for example you can see designs and layouts before you drag them onto the page. Choose your preferred option and it& apos; s displayed with dummy product images, instantaneously giving you an idea of how the finished store will look.
There& apos; s plenty of power here. Products is also available physical or digital, they may be illustrated with images or videos, designated custom options( colourings, size ), promoted with coupons, and you can set up your own shipping and tax regulations to cope with tricky situations. Plus, with the introduction of Wix Turbo, your site will load much faster.
Wix supports a wide range of pay techniques. Exactly what& apos; s on offer depends on your place, but when we tested the service from the UK we were offered Square, Stripe, Moolah, Worldpay, Wirecard and PayPal.
Whatever your choice, you& apos; ll pay the provider merely: Wix doesn& apos; t charge any transaction fees.
Your finished store still won& apos; t have as many features as the top e-commerce providers, but Wix is easy-to-use, the $16.50( PS12. 50) a month price is fair, and it& apos; s a smart-alecky route for newbies to dip their toes in the web store waters.
Getting your first web store up and running is often an expensive business. Many providers offer little or no e-commerce functionality in their starter plans, and you& apos; ll often have to fork out for a high-end specialist plan before you can do anything useful.
iPage is a rare exception where even the most basic hosting plan gives you more than enough to get started.
A template-based website builder and free web store make it easy to design your shop, for instance. There& apos; s PayPal support for taking payments. You also get integration with your option of shopping cart( AgoraCart, OpenCart, OSCommerce, PrestaShop, TomatoCart, Zen Cart ), a free domain for the first year, and 24/7 telephone( toll-free in the US and UK) and chat support to handle any urgent problems that might crop up.
There are limits, too. The website builder only supports a maximum of six pages, for instance, and many clients will expect to be able to pay by credit card as well as PayPal.( You can do that, but you& apos; ll need to sort it out yourself .)
Still, the introductory cost were low at $1.99( PS1. 50) a month for up to 36 months, $7.99( PS6) on renewal. It could be worth buying just as a learn environment to experiment with the technology and see what you can do. And if you do go online, you shouldn& apos; t have to sell many products to induce your hosting fees back.
While many web hosts go to huge efforts to highlight e-commerce abilities, others barely mention them at all. SiteGround is a great example: there& apos; s no big “build your web store here” headline, and yet when you look at the details, even its most basic shared hosting scheme has a lot of e-commerce power.
A Weebly-based website builder is available to create your store, for example. HTTP/ 2 enabled servers and Cloudflare CDN integration boost speeds, reducing the chance that customers will abandon the site. And when it& apos; s time to buy, free Let& apos; s Encrypt SSL certificates will give your customers confidence that their payment details are secure.
SiteGround plans include the Softaculous installer, which enables speedy setup of big-name shopping cart and e-commerce tools including PrestaShop, WooCommerce and Magento.
At the time of writing, the company quotes 99.996% uptime for the last 12 months, good news when you& apos; re operating something as important as a web store. Although if you do reached trouble, 24/7 supporting and automatic daily backups should help you rapidly recover the situation.
The baseline Startup plan gives you all this for $3.95( PS3) a month for the initial term, rising to $11.95( PS9) on renewal. It has some limits- 10 GB web space, a suggested maximum of 10, 000 visits a month, support for hosting one website only- but these won& apos; t be an issue for many smaller stores, and there are more powerful plans available if you need them.
1& 1 IONOS eCommerce Website Builder/ Online Shop is a powerful tool which combines simple template-based web store design with professional features and functionality.
High quality design templates help you get up to velocity speedily. There aren& apos; t many, but they appear good, and can easily be customized to suit your needs.
1& 1 IONOS& apos; s baseline Essential account is a little underpowered, considering its price- $20( PS20 for UK page) a month ($ 1 or PS1 per month for the first six months ). You get support for unlimited items there are still& apos; s an SSL certificate thrown in, but pay methods are limited to PayPal Express Checkout, money on delivery, invoice and direct debit, and shipping support is self-organized only.
The range improves significantly with the Business plan priced at $30( PS30 for UK) a few months ($ 1 or PS1 per month for the first three months ). This adds further payment methods, including credit cards, Skrill, Ingenico and Stripe. There& apos; s optional integrated with the excellent Shippo multi-carrier shipping system, and support for connecting your store to comparison sites including Idealo, Google Shopping and Shopping.com.
The Pro plan takes your store to the next level by allowing you to sell on eBay and Amazon Marketplace. It& apos; s an unusual and welcome extra, but the cost is relatively high at $50( PS50 for UK page) a few months ($ 1 or PS1 per month for the first three months ).
Starter e-commerce hosting schemes can do a lot for a very low price, but you& apos; ll often pay in terms of service quality. Website based on shared hosting may be slow, or fail wholly, and support is often restriction. This might not matter for tiny web stores, but if you& apos; re running a big business, it could be a major issue.
Liquid Web& apos; s hosted WooCommerce schemes are far more expensive( higher-performance schemes, specifically ), with costs starting at $249( or PS179) a few months, but it& apos; s easy to see why: they trample all over the underpowered baseline efforts of the competition. There are also plans for new stores/ beginners with prices starting at $39 a month. These aren& apos; t as powerful, but they are worth checking out if you need a more “lightweight” option.
Wide product support encompass physical goods, digital downloads, virtual products( like online courses ), for example. There are no limits on the number of products you can sell, and you have many powerful ways to present them. The site doesn& apos; t simply let customers to choose product fluctuations from a listing, for example( color, size, design) – you can show them photos which match their selections.
Store management tools are just as flexible. You can define your own custom order statuses and workflows, automatically offer clients related products, set promotions, generate coupons, accept product reviews, manage inventory and more.
Professional design features include hundreds of responsive themes and a drag-and-drop page builder for editing.
Your site is hosted on scalable containers. These are isolated surroundings which aren& apos; t shared with other users, improving reliability. Even better, they don& apos; t limit you to some preset amount of system resources. The platform can detect when you& apos; re busy and dynamically add RAM and CPU cores as required.
Premium touches include performance testing and a staging area to test site features before going live. Jilt& apos; s abandoned shopping cart recovery may help you regain lost clients, and support for Glew& apos; s analytics will deliver valuable information about your customers and orders.
For busy stores, perhaps most important of all is Liquid Web& apos; s excellent support. The company isn& apos; t merely available 24/7/ 365 to respond to problems: it monitors stores, often detecting and fixing hosting-related issues before you even realize anything is wrong.
Put it all together and this is one very impressive range, with more than enough power to run the busiest of web stores. Go take a look.
The importance of getting the best ecommerce web hosting
Today, e-commerce has become a massively lucrative channel for retailers. However, the quality of the hosting services that many small businesses are using often leaves a lot to be desired. A recent report showed that one in three Britons have abandoned their online transactions because of poor website design and inefficient hosting.
Research from hosting company 1& 1& apos; s& apos; 2011 Digital High Street Audit& apos; discovers worryingly low levels of consumer satisfaction with the small business websites available to them. The hazard to firms from a bad online experience is clear- 49% of consumers believe that a bad website makes a worse impact than a business having no website at all. This conclusion has led 37% to walk-away from companies entirely, in favour of using a competitor. An additional 9% of Britons have found themselves reducing their spend with small companies as a direct result of being deterred by a poor company website.
Oliver Mauss, CEO, 1& 1 Internet said: “Research shows that maintain an ugly or severely functioning website online can comprise threats to sales revenue. Customers have ever higher expectations, and it is essential that every company website inspires confidence. Business that invest carefully in their web experience will see higher levels of customer spend, retention and referral”.

Netflix vs Stan, Foxtel Now and Amazon Prime: Australian streaming services compared
New Post has been published on https://entertainmentguideto.com/awesome/netflix-vs-stan-foxtel-now-and-amazon-prime-australian-streaming-services-compared/
Netflix vs Stan, Foxtel Now and Amazon Prime: Australian streaming services compared
UPDATE: Stan has raised the price of its Premium package, which will now set you back $17 a few months- that& apos; s a$ 2 increase from the tier& apos; s original $15 monthly fee. Updated article below.
Now that streaming media has become a mainstay in Australian homes, Aussies have plenty of options to choose from when it comes to get their home amusement fix.
When blended, Netflix, Stan , Amazon Prime Video and Foxtel Now offer an enormous range of content that can be instantly streamed into your home. However, if you can only afford one subscription service, narrowing down a definitive choice can be harder than it seems.
As each service brings with it a unique range of television shows and movies aimed at different segments of the streaming audience , not to mention differing price points, device compatibility and streaming qualities, we& apos; ve taken it upon ourselves bring you an in-depth guide to what you can expect from Australia& apos; s four major SVOD platforms.
With the constantly evolving nature of each service discussed in this guide, we will endeavour to keep you updated on any significant changes and updates that may occur to these streaming giants in the future.
Here& apos; s how the Australian streaming situation stacks up in 2019.
The best VPN for Netflix 2019 Price
Probably the best thing about having so many streaming alternatives to choose from, is that it forces-out each service to be priced competitively.
Netflix offers the cheapest river of the main three, with a single creek in standard definition at $9.99, which, if we& apos; re is sincere, isn& apos; t especially good value, but may appeal to those who live alone and have a poor quality internet connection.
Thankfully, for $13.99 a month you can get a dual-stream subscription that offers HD streaming quality.
If 4K rivers are what you& apos; re after, you& apos; ll need to subscribe to Netflix& apos; s premium package, which costs $17.99 a few months and allows you to watch the service on four devices simultaneously. This is probably the most ideal subscription for families with differing tastes in proves and movies.
Though Netflix is obviously run off of how it& apos; s priced overseas, Stan has chosen to come out at the low , no-nonsense cost of $10 a few months. That& apos; s for everything the service has to offer at a maximum resolution of 1080 p.
If you want to make use of your 4K TV though, you can upgrade to a Premium Stan subscription for the new cost of $17 a few months, which is a slight increase from its original $15 monthly fee.
So far, Stan has a steadily growing 4K content lineup, including demonstrates like Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, Preacher and Wolf Creek, and movies like Ghostbusters, Taxi Driver, Arrival and Sam Raimi& apos; s Spider-Man trilogy.
These kinds of costs cut straight to the point- once you& apos; ve tested the service& apos; s 30 day trial, you& apos; re either on board with forking over a tenner( or an extra fiver) each month, or you& apos; re not.
Undercutting Netflix& apos; s pricing substantially, Amazon has a special introductory offer that grants new subscribers access to the service for a monthly fee $4.99 for the first six months, after which it will renew at US $6.99 each month after that.
Foxtel Now is different in that it offers a number of different content packs( split into Starter packs and Premium packs) so the user can tailor their subscription to their viewing habits.
The minimum cost for Foxtel Now has been increased to $ 25 per month, which includes the Pop and Lifestyle packs.
You& apos; ll probably have to sign up to at least a couple of packs to get a decent selection of indicates overall. As we& apos; ve already mentioned, Lifestyle and Pop are now bundled together, while the individual Kids and Doco packages have been scrapped wholly — if you want that content back, you& apos; ll have to pony up for the $104 All Packs bundle.
Thankfully, the Drama package is still around, and is still priced at $15 per month( though you& apos; ll get$ 5 off when you sign up ).
The Movies pack will still define you back $20 a month and the Sport package remains unchanged at $29 per month. Seeing as you& apos; re obligated to sign up to the Pop and Lifestyle packs, the minimum expense for watching sports on Foxtel Now has been raised to $54 per month.
Devices
For many people, the rulings of which streaming service to sign up for may come down to the devices they own.
Netflix has the biggest global reach and has been around the longest, which is why it can be streamed on the largest number of devices.
The Netflix app is available on a wide range of smart TVs from manufacturers like Samsung, Sony, LG, Panasonic, Philips and Hisense, though you should check your television model to see if the service is supported. Stan is available on all current Samsung smart TVs, Sony smart-alecky TVs( running Android TV) and all LG smart-alecky TVs operating WebOS software.
Stan is also streaming on Hisense smart TVs from 2015 onwards, and we& apos; re considering the app pop up on more and more manufacturers defines. Basically, if you buy a new smart TV locally, chances are that it will play Stan.
At launch, Amazon Prime Video merely offered its service in Australia through computer browsers, however, the Amazon Prime app has now appeared on a number of 4K smart TVs, including models from Sony, Samung, LG and more. Before settling on Prime, you should check and see if you smart Tv has an app for it.
If your smart-alecky TV is of the 4K/ UHD variety, opportunities are that its Netflix app supportings 4K streaming. You can also get a 4K Netflix stream for the latest wave of Ultra HD Blu-ray players, such as the Panasonic DMP-UB9 00 and the Samsung UBD-K8 500. Microsoft& apos; s newest console, the Xbox One S, also offers 4K playback.
The Apple TV also supports Netflix and has features built around service, such as the ability to use Siri to search for titles by voice, which places Netflix titles appear alongside iTunes listings. A Stan app is also available for Apple TV, but Amazon won& apos; t allow its app on Apple TV or Chromecast for business reasons. With that said, you should be able to showing Amazon Prime Video on your Apple TV through AirPlay. So far, Siri functionality is only available to Netflix.
Netflix, Stan and Amazon Prime Video are all available on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, though some older Android models may not be compatible.
When it comes to game consoles, Netflix has the biggest reach, with apps for Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One S, PS3, PS4 and the Nintendo Wii U. Stan has most of the consoles covered but absences support for Xbox 360 and Wii U.
It& apos; s also possible to watch Amazon Prime Video on home gaming consoles, including the Xbox One and PS4, and you can also watch the service utilize Amazon& apos; s Fire TV Stick.
Netflix and Stan are also available on Fetch TV, which is quite handy for the hundreds of thousands of Australians currently subscribed to Fetch.
If you don& apos; t have any of the TV-connected devices listed above and still want to watch Netflix and Stan on your television, the two services can also be streamed to a Google Chromecast, which ostensibly provides regular TVs with smart-alecky Tv functionality( so long as you have a smartphone or tablet to stream from ). That said, Amazon Prime Video is not supported on Chromecast.
Foxtel Now was working on iOS and Android devices, Chromecast and Chromecast Ultra, PC and Mac and the newly-released Foxtel Now streaming box. Eventually, you can also watch Netflix and Stan on the Roku 2-powered Telstra TV media streaming box.
Kids content
When it comes to children demonstrates and movies, each service has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Stan has a wide selection of children-friendly shows that mostly stem from its partnerships with Turner Broadcasting( the Cartoon Network ), the ABC and Viacom.
And , now that Stan is Disney& apos; s new home for streaming content in Australia, subscribers now have access to an enormous library of classic movies from Disney and Pixar, such as the Toy Story trilogy, Finding Nemo, Frozen, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid and more, along with a wide selection of Disney Channel TV shows.
Cartoon Network favourites like Adventure Time, Ben 10, Regular Show, The Powerpuff Girls, Cow and Chicken, Generator Rex and Ed, Edd, n Eddy are all ready to stream on Stan.
Likewise, classic ABC titles like The Wiggles, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Guess How Much I Love You and Justine Clarke, as well as overseas titles like Octonauts, Angelina Ballerina, Bob the Builder, Thomas and Friends, Fireman Sam, Sesame Street and Mister Maker are available to stream on the app, and its Viacom deal brings with it a large range of indicates from Nickelodeon and Nick Jr, like Avatar: The Last Airbender; Octonauts, Ni Hao, Kai-Lan, Bubble Guppies, and popular live-action shows like iCarly, VICTORiOUS, and Drake& Josh.
Like the rest of Amazon Prime Video& apos; s content library, its Kids selection is quite sparse at present. You& apos; ll find a number of Amazon Original kids shows you& apos; ve probably never heard of, like Wishenpoof !, Tumble Leaf and Just Add Magic, alongside some tried-and-true children movies classics, like The Little Rascals, Casper, Spy Kids and Babe.
Animation fans will be happy to know that Netflix has also rendered some original depicts based on classic DreamWorks properties, including Puss in Boots and How to Train Your Dragon.
Deals with other big children& apos; s program distributors Saban, DHX Media and Hasbro Studios have also provided Netflix with numerous incarnations of Power Rangers and My Little Pony.
Special mention should also be given to inclusion of the classic Aussie kid& apos; s present, Round the Twist, on both Netflix and Stan& apos; s respective catalogues.
Foxtel Now offers plenty of kids presents and channels hosting a large number of Nickelodeon and Disney programs, though the only way to access them now is via its exceedingly pricey All Packs bundle, which& apos; ll define you back $104 per month.
TV indicates
A wide and varied range of television reveals are available on Netflix, Stan and Amazon Prime Video, thanks to individual bargains between each of the SVOD services and their content partners. Because of this, each service should have something for everyone in your family.
While there& apos; s a lot of crossover when it comes to the availability of presents on each platform, perhaps the most important deciding factor comes down to the exclusives and original shows available on each service.
Netflix is without question the leader in this regard, with a large, global slate of original shows that are, for the best part, available in every one of its territories around the world. And if you want to access your own catalogue from abroad, then you should look to download the best Netflix VPN from our guide.
The service has achieved huge success with its diverse lineup, which includes award-winning presents House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, long-form superhero proves like Marvel& apos; s Daredevil and Jessica Jones, internationally-targeted depicts like Narcos, animated sitcoms such as BoJack Horseman and F is For Family, comedies like Fuller House, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Master of None, and countless stand up comedy specials, to name but a small selection from its rapidly-expanding library.
On top of this, TV series like Stranger Things, Black Mirror, Making A Murderer, Mindhunter and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina have also observed crossover appeal with mainstream audiences.
Though Stan is only available in Australia, it has already begun creating its own original content, having produced the improvised slapstick series No Activity, the Tv spin-offs of Wolf Creek and Romper Stomper, as well as the comedy series Plonk.
Stan is notable for also having a large range of exclusive presents in its stable, with big hitters like the Twin Peaks revival, Better Call Saul Mozart in the Jungle, Transparent, Power, UnReal, Community, Lost Girl, Dig, Ash vs Evil Dead, Angie Tribeca and 11.22.63 tied to the service for the entire life of each series.
On top of this, Stan is the only service in Australia offering both the complete series& apos; of US sitcom classics Seinfeld and Friend, which are huge gets for the service. If it ever manages to secure The Simpsons( as unlikely as that may be ), it& apos; ll have the holy trifecta on offer.
Stan also fast-tracks new episodes of its exclusive presents as soon as they air overseas, a practise that both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have since adopted with such reveals as Riverdale and American Gods.
As the newest service to make Australian coasts, Amazon Prime Video doesn& apos; t currently have a huge TV content library on offer, then again, that probably runs a long way to explaining why the subscription cost is so cheap.
Most people considering a Prime subscription are probably looking to watch The Grand Tour, the new automobile fanatic indicate from the team behind the beloved series, Top Gear. If that& apos; s what you& apos; re after, you& apos; ll happy to know that every available episode of the series is available on Amazon Prime Video in HDR, with new episodes arriving weekly.
Aside from that, other exclusive draw cards include American Gods, a hyped new demonstrate based on the immensely popular Neil Gaiman novel of the same name, Jean-Claude Van Johnson, which stars Jean-Claude Van Damme as a snoop version of himself, The Tick, a comedic superhero series resurgence, The Man in the High Castle, which posits a world in which the Nazis won World War II, and The Terror, a horror anthology series based on a best-selling book.
Unlike the competition, Foxtel Now lets you also watch live television broadcasts, essentially giving you the regular Foxtel experience over the internet. Aside from this, most of the packages on offer, such as Drama and Pop( which have loads of HBO content split across them ), are mostly filled with television shows. Fans of reality TV will get a real kick out of the selection here.
Movies
As with most SVOD services, the titles available on Netflix, Stan and Presto change occasionally according to content licensing agreements. That said, each service has a pretty decent collect of movies aimed at slightly different audiences.
When it first launched, Australian Netflix had a much smaller content offering than its US counterpart. However, its focus on Original content over licensed material has attained that issue largely irrelevant, with a huge selection of quality demonstrates and movies now available.
Netflix Original movies like Bird Box, Bright and the critically acclaimed Roma have found much larger audiences on the streaming service than they likely would have if released through traditional channels, while unusual movie experimentations like The Ballad of Buster Scruggs might never have been stimulated without today& apos; s streaming model of distribution.
Amazon Prime Video offers a number of classic older movies, though not many recent blockbusters are currently available to stream. Its recent Amazon Original film The Neon Demon, for instance, is currently geo-restricted.
Still, fans of B-grade cinema, including straight-to-video& apos; 90 s martial art movies,& apos; 80 s horror movies and sleazy grindhouse flicks will find plenty to love on Amazon Prime Video. In fact, it blows all of the other services out of the water in this regard, with a instead big back catalogue of these various kinds of films.
As was mentioned earlier, you& apos; ll need a Movies package to watch feature film through Foxtel Now, though that will set you back $20 per month on top of a $10 Starter pack. Many of the movies are new releases, proving much of the content you& apos ;d is expecting on live Foxtel.
Stan& apos; s astonishing partnership with Disney has given the service a huge leg up over the competition when it comes to licensed content, with access to a wide selection of Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm movies on offer.
It also provides a reasonably big selection of Roadshow Entertainment titles, though previously available movies like Mad Max: Fury Road have since dropped off the service. Thankfully, huge franchises like The Lord of the Rings and The Matrix are present and accounted for.
A content deal with MGM also provides Stan with a large back catalogue of classic movies, including the entire James Bond series in glorious 4K quality, along with The Silence of the Lambs, When Harry Met Sally and a huge selection of Woody Allen films.
Stan has always been the leading streaming service when it comes to art cinemas and world cinema, including access to cinemas from over 45 countries in more than 70 languages, but now you can count mainstream blockbusters among its many licensing accomplishments.
Streaming quality
All three services offer HD streams( unless you& apos; re subscribed to Netflix& apos; s lowest tier ), however, Netflix is unquestionably the leader when it comes to streaming quality, as it offers the most 4K HDR content( top pricing tier only) of any of the services listed here.
Netflix Originals, with some exceptions, are generally available in 4K streaming quality. The service has also started streaming HDR( high-dynamic-range) and Dolby Vision content for many of its original reveals and movies.
The service has an adaptive bit rate that adjusts itself based on the quality of your internet connection. It should be noted that, even if you have a blazing fast connection, Netflix will occasionally fail to reach full resolving during primetime hours due to congestion.
Stan also use adaptive bit rate technology, however it also offers users the ability to select the streaming quality of its proves( where available ). The Ultra setting offers full 4K resolving, though you& apos; ll need to subscribe to the Premium package to see the profits of the the Ultra HD upgrade.
Unlike its competitors, Stan allows users to select the quality of their creeks on smart devices, media devices and smart TVs. Simply select the cog icon and choose between Low, Medium and High quality streams. This is especially handy if you& apos; re having buffering problems or if you& apos; re streaming off mobile data.
With Netflix adding offline viewing to its subscription cost, allowing using to download a selection of demonstrates and movies to their devices for viewing outside of Wi-Fi networks, the service immediately increased its overall value.
Thankfully, Stan has followed suit, and now allows subscribers to download the vast majority of its content. This stimulates its $10 monthly cost point even more of a bargain than it already was.
Amazon Prime Video also offers 4K HDR content, though with the varying quality of the presents and movies on offer, it& apos; s a little tricky to know what& apos; s available in SD, HD or Ultra HD until you start watching it. Original presents are, for the most part, available in 4K.
Foxtel Now is said to offer HD streams, but the quality is a mixed bag. Often blurry or with overly saturated colourings, the picture quality here is a far cry from what Netflix, Stan and Amazon Prime Video are offering. This really changes on a show-by-show basis. Game of Thrones looks pretty clean, though.
Verdict
Though each service has its own strengths and weaknesses, Netflix is unquestionably the win when it comes to device compatibility, original content and creek quality.
Its library of Netflix Original continues to grow and maintain a generally high level of quality, with the service creating the kind of content that devotes HBO a run for its money when it comes to premium programming.
When you ignore its standard definition pricing alternative( and we ignore it fairly hard around these proportions ), Stan& apos; s flat $10 subscription fee is definitely more appealing for people who want access to a HD stream, but when you consider how many original reveals Netflix makes, a couple of extra bucks a month is hardly a deal-breaker.
It& apos; s great that Amazon Prime Video has attained its route to Australia, and while it still has a long way to go in terms of growing its content library and list of compatible devices, it continues to add new content constantly, filling out the content selection with a number of gems.
On the plus side, the service is quite inexpensive at the moment, so if you want to try it out for yourself anyway, you can do so without violating the budget.
We love the sheer sum of content available on Foxtel Now( it truly does leave the competition in the dust in this regard ), though get a decent selection up will hurt your wallet in the long run.
Still, when all is said and done, there& apos; s no denying that Netflix truly is the king of streaming media in Australia.

I watched the Blame! movie on Netfix, and I guess I have some thoughts.
Animation and visuals: Blame! is an anime, but it’s not 2D drawn animation. Just like other Netflix originals by Polygon pictures, it is computer-animated in 3D with cel-shading. I have met already people complaining about Ajin for this exact reason, but I liked it already and thought this style suited it well, especially the IBMs (black ghosts). Okay, and speaking of this method of rendering: I love Chvrches’ Bury It video, where the drawings by Jamie McKelvie are animated with cel-shading too. I guess I just like this technique, but enough digressions. The 3D animation seems to be great medium to show the world of Blame!, which is a technologically advanced cyberpunk dystopia. And speaking bout that...
Worldbuilding: Without telling too many spoilers, the plot is set in a seemingly endless City, which keeps being expanded by the Builders. Once humans, having a special gene, could communicate with the machines via Netsphere, but after an epidemy there’s no one left with the Net gene, so Safeguards and Exterminators consider ‘normal’ people illegal inhabitants to exterminate. Oh, and there’s a mysterious wanderer who looks for anyone with a Net Gene, anyone who could stop Builders and Exterminators. These concepts have many clever ideas packed in themselves, but aren’t alienating, so the story is really esy to jump on and to get invested in. I have no idea how faithful to the manga it is, but I am actually interested to check it out, especially since apparently there are more adventures of Killy (in the movie we saw a single one). So if you like anything about dystopias, cyberpunk, post-apos and this stuff, you may want to check this out.
Spoilers to the very ending: Cibo didn’t manage to reach the ultimate goal and connect to NetSphere, but the tribe got to live on a calmer, safer level with no Builders/Exterminators/Safeguards. And Killy’s quest must continue. It reminds me a bit in its structure of Fury Road, where there is no green oasis, but Furiosa and the Wives get their safe haven in the Citadel, but still in a destroyed and wretched and cruel world. And obviously Max leaves them to continue on his enigmatic route. Obviously it’s not 1:1 paralel, but I feel tempted to make some meta analyzing all the similarities AND differences. Yeah, I really like Fury Road too.
And some personal thoughts: Is the tribe’s ending a freedom? Can I call it so, and was there any chance of real freedom? Also: what made people consider others without Net Gene ‘illegal’, and thus worthy of extermination? C’mon, someone must have ordered the Exterminators to do so. And how exactly it matches with current situation, where you can hear ‘no human is illegal’ on the one side and extreme dehumanization of refugees and immigrants on the other (you can find real nasty shit on the internet). I presume there was no intention of tackling this topic, but the use of the word ‘illegal’ in regards to people made me think instantly of it.
Yeah, there are other aspects of the animation to write about (music, voice acting, individual characterization and stuff...), but rn these are the only ones I concentrate on. And overall I think the movie itself is worth checking.
