I have nothing to offer atm, so have this: a scene from the Post Rewrite, the poses referenced from frieren, drawn in magma

to summarize: Post Rewrite, Trellis disappeared for two years after the war's end without informing anyone, but it especially affected Emily, who feels like she hasn't resolved things with him, what, with losing control and all and him having to save her. She snuck into Gulfen as soon as she got a whiff of a rumor that he's still alive and in the country, and tricked the current monarch (who was searching for Trellis to neutralize him/prevent him from taking the throne) into letting her in the search, duping him in that she intends to "resolve things" with Trellis.

Thing is, Emily hasn't planned things as intricately, as she didn't account that the soldiers she'd be with would give her hell/attempt to kill her multiple times throughout the search, but as she has little knowledge of Gulfen, is forced to deal with it for two months sticking with them before finally reuniting with Trellis - whom she then greets with a weapon to the face. A fight amongst the usurper's forces and Trellis's entourage ensues.

It's not like Emily is trying to kill Trellis - she's just really mad, he knows that she's mad, and they've always had impromptu duels during the war as a form of bonding/training so neither of the two are in any real danger - she's just blowing off steam, he's allowing her to blow off some steam. Hence, the bored looks on their faces - it's their typical dance. To anyone else though, it looks like she's doing everything she can to lop Trellis's head off and he's desperately fighting her off.

And if you're wondering - yes, Emily had her hair in a ponytail before settling for a braid because she wasn't taking care of her hair. Trellis is the one who braided it for her after she calmed down, and she maintained the hairstyle ever since. He's also the one who gifted her the armor, which was stone-resistant

I HAVE COMETH, BEARING THE FRUITS OF WAR

This was a gift made for Ei ( @motherstone ) that got WAY OUT OF HAND, but honestly? Maybe that's a good thing. The designs are all his, although Riva's design is now outdated (the consecuence of starting a project and coming back to it months later). The song is a music box version of Hymne à l'amour (coughcough,gottenfromcapcut,coughcough), and the idea behind the editing is to make it seem like a retro cartoon. Below are the still images used, and i hope yall like it!

Revisited the graphic novel I loved in elementary school bc I found out the last book came out in February and I actually did not like book 9 so I’m fixing it myself

16 years of Amulet!

GOD it's finally done, this took a month to work on, so uh, I hope I did them justice. Thank you everyone for this journey! ^_^ Uhh I'm sleep deprived so not much notes for now.

AMULET BY KAZU KIBUISHI IS MY ROMAN EMPIRE

A while back, after the release of book 9, I started chatting with @motherstone (an INCREDIBLE artist, even if you're not an amulet fan you GOTTA check his art out) and he shared this idea he had for a comic that he wanted to make but didn't really have the time to at that moment.

And me, lowkey loving the concept, proposed the idea that I make the comic for him as a gift.

This is the result.

-Concept credits go ENTIRELY to motherstone, from Emily's and Trellis' designs to the script

-I did the art and modified a bit of the script

-And obviously, all of the characters were created by Kazu Kibuishi and belong to him and Scholastic, along with Amulet as a whole. This is fanart inspired by the series.

Will do more amulet art and even writings to try and comfort my inner child from whatever that book was 😭 I’m glad I finally got the full collection tho, so slay
