This, however, isn't Her Royal Highnesses first day of school. The King wished his granddaughters to start school in a private environment without photographers around. It's quite unusual, since the King and his sister, The Duchess of Valoria, have both been filmed and photographed on their first day of school, and his daughters as well.

An appreciation post for the Queen who never was meant to be.
Elizabeth Victoria Frances Whittington was born on the 17th of October, 1959. The second youngest child of King Leonidas IX she had a knack for getting into trouble and getting her way. As she wasn't expected to be Queen she didn't have as many expectations which let the King be more lenient with her and her siblings after James and Charlotte were born. She was a straight A student with a special love for botany, painting, and wildlife. She went to the University of Britechster and excelled in her studies. It was there she met The Crown Prince of Windenberg, Stephan. Ironically enough he was at one point dating her sister Charlotte but that didn't work out and Charlotte met the Crown Prince Kiyoshi of the Royal House of Ito at a charity gala in San Myshuno. Months later, they began dating and eventually got married. Stephan went on to live a sort of playboy lifestyle after getting his heart broken by Charlotte but then he met Elizabeth. Not wanting to be messy he asked her brother who was by then The King, James I, for his blessing, seeing as he wasn't at fault with his and Charlottes relationship failing he didn't have an issue with him. But the King was privy to the Crown Princes antics and he wanted to be sure he wouldn't mistreat his little sister. He was quoted in saying "Such a grievous would certainly result in war between our families and neither of us want that" Stephan reassured the King that he wouldn't mistreat his sister and James reluctantly gave his blessing and they went on to get married on the 24th of August, 1985 In South Minster Abbey in Windenberg.

They had a lovely turnout with guests from all over coming out to celebrate the new union. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, The Prince and Princess of Wales, Queen Beatrix and Prince Willem Alexander of the Netherlands, King Fahd of Saudi Arabia with The Crown Prince Abdullah, King Badouin of Belgium, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden with his wife Queen Silvia, and King Hassan II of Morocco with his wife Queen Lalla and Crown Prince Mohammad. President Reagan was invited but his invitation was lost in the mail Vice President George Bush must have found it because he made his way with his wife Barbara along with former president Jimmy Carter who was ironically the only one actually invited besides the president.

After the royal wedding of Princess Elizabeth to Prince Stephan Von Windenburg, they had a successful marriage and reign for many years. Here you see the Royal Family posing for a portrait before the births of the princesses Olga and Helga with their daughter and heir presumptive Madeline Shortly after his coronation.

The people were hesitant seeing as she wasn't the Princess Royal, Charlotte, who actually went to marry the Crown Prince Kiyoshi of Japan. Elizabeth was so terribly misjudged as she was to become known as one of the most beloved Queen Consorts in all of Windenberg. Known for her humanitarian efforts and her leading the charge to fight world hunger, she became known as Mother Eliza.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. A truly extraordinary woman. Whatever you might feel about the monarchy, there are not many who have had her level of faithfulness and dedication to her work and her calling. My Husband and I: The Inside Story of 70 Years of the Royal Marriage by Ingrid Seward #HouseofWindsor #BookReview #AudiobookReview
They were married for more than 70 years. #IngridSeward, royal biographer, takes a closer look at #QueenElizabeth and #PrincePhilip relationship. #Dukeofedinburgh #princesselizabeth #GeorgeVI #Queenmother #Bookreview #Simonandschuster #Audiobookreview
When a young Princess Elizabeth met and fell in love with the dashing Naval Lieutenant Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark, it wasn’t without its problems. The romance between the sailor prince and the young princess brought a splash of colour to a nation still in the grip of post-war austerity. When they married in Westminster Abbey in November 1947, there were 3000 guests, including six kings…

THE ALHAMBRA PALACE AT SUNSET...
A tender, mid September twilight glances against the towering, tremendous ramparts of Granada's storied Alhambra Palace in Southern Andalucia.
This last, Moorish stronghold eventually succumbed, sans bloodshed, to the advancing forces of the Spanish Catholic monarchs, Ferdinand and Isabella.
Their daughter, Catherine of Aragon, would go on to become the first wife of King Henry VIII. Of six children conceived over the course of their twenty two year long marriage, only one- the Princess Mary- would survive into adulthood.
Catherine herself was ruthlessly usurped in favour of Anne Boleyn. She bore the charmless old brute another daughter, Elizabeth.
Mary eventually ascended to the throne as Queen Mary I, and became the infamous 'Bloody Mary' of historic legend. She, in turn, married King Phillip II of Spain. That marriage was at best fitful, and at worst fruitless.
On Mary's death, Elizabeth took the throne. A marriage proposal from the newly widowed Phillip was curtly rejected by the new Queen. Phillip simmered with quiet, silent rage.
Elizabeth's hand was eventually forced into the tragic execution of her Catholic doppelganger, Mary, Queen of Scots. Stung to self righteous indignation, Phillip sent the Spanish Armada to subdue Britain.
A combination of better cannonballs, more agile ships and some truly terrifying wind and waves all conspired to send most of it to the bottom...

On This Day In History . 10 December 1820 . Princess Elizabeth of Clarence was born . . Princess Elizabeth of Clarence was the second daughter & third child of Prince William, Duke of Clarence and St Andrews (later King William IV) & his wife (later Queen), Princess Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen. . ◼ She was a granddaughter of King George III of the United Kingdom & a first cousin of Queen Victoria. . ◼ After having had one child who died on the day of her birth, Princess Charlotte (27 March 1819) & suffering a stillbirth, the third pregnancy of the Duchess of Clarence also did not go as expected. The Duchess delivered a girl, almost six weeks premature, on 10 December 1820 at St James’s Palace. She was christened on the day of her birth at the Palace by William Howley, then Bishop of London. . ◼ The Duke & Duchess of Clarence had wanted to name her Georgina, but King George IV asked that she be named Elizabeth instead. The couple agreed & christened her “Elizabeth Georgiana Adelaide” (or Elizabeth-Georgiana-Adelaide). . ◼ She lived the remainder of her days at St James’s Palace. After “being suddenly seized with the fatal disease, an intro-susception of the bowels” she died shortly thereafter on 4 March 1821, aged 12 weeks. After her death, her mother suffered three more stillbirths. . ◼ Elizabeth was buried at Windsor Castle, in St George’s Chapel, on 10 March 1821. During her short life, she was ahead of her cousin, the future Queen Victoria, in the line of succession. . 👑 Had the Princess lived she may have become Queen Elizabeth II. . 📷 The picture is a recumbent effigy of Princess Elizabeth of Clarence by William Scoular (died 1854) in the Grand Corridor of Windsor Castle. . . #onthisdayinhistory #thisdayinhistory #Theyear1820 #d10dec #PrincessElizabeth #HouseofHanover #stjamespalace #KingWilliamIV #QueenAdelaide #History #Britishmonarchy #otd #RoyalHistory #HistoryFacts #RoyalFamily #Theking #williamiv #thisday #Britishroyals #Britishroyalfamily #royalfamilyuk #Britishroyalty #Royalart #Artwork #portraitpainting #windsorcastle #buckinghampalace #kensingtonpalace #royals #royalty (at St James’s Palace) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIoQRG4j8uT/?igshid=5mlgqj5gb8us
