so not so fun fact about me is i have a strip of grey hair that i’ve had since i was 17 and it’s like a little patch of grey. kind of like a bad highlight that only grows in that one spot
and i’ve been consistently box dying my hair for forever so that grey has never been an issue until i went to my hair stylist back in may and said “i want u to color my hair and btw i have 28394918 box dyes on my head now,, most recent one being black,,,” and she put me on a hair dye ban. so i haven’t box dyed or dyed my hair at. all. since. may. and now i have this grey-ass stripe growing out of my head and it’s taking all my willpower not to end the journey here and box dye once more
#PLEEK#i still have sooooo far to go if i want my stylist to do my hair all professional-like#why am i telling you this#idk welcome 2 my diary#like the grey might look sick asf if i had the patience to grow it out#but i. do not.#n also.#i want a new hair color. like NEOW

hiiii your local girlboy coming in hot to say ‘new hair new me’! just recolored my hair and decided to finally get bangs and I love it 🧡
#bex talks#riley rambles#I haven’t had bangs in 8 years and back then I had some dumb half forehead bangs that looked ridiculous#but I’m about to move back to texas to a new city. about to start a new job. and I wanted a new me#I’m so excited to have curtain bangs. I love it#my red hair fits my personality so much and I’d never go back to being a blonde#and I’ve been getting Brazilian blowouts for my hair for just over a year now and it makes it so sleek and smooth and professional#but I wanted a change as I move to Texas next month and start a new chapter of my life#I texted my stylist over the weekend as if she’s my secret super power and asked her what she thought of the idea of bangs#and today we got the bangs and recolored my hair and I love it#i feel like a new person#in the best way#get ready Texas you’re about to meet the new Dr G and she’s ready to kick ass and take names

((It isn't Munday yet but I'm just happy to have freshly colored hair again lol and it's been a minute. I'm still chasing a deep crimson red I had years ago. One day I'll get it back. I'll probably delete my potato of a mug later lol))

#ooc#mun#I'm probably going to have to go over my ends again#I can still see some of the lighter brown under it#but not bad for a first time without professional help from my stylist of a mother lmao#ignore my tired ass eyes lol

feel so bad for sneeg every time he talks about being drawn skinny in fanart man. especially because he always tries to be so polite about it and emphasises that he appreciates the art regardless (i think because he's aware it's a lot of beginner artists).
BUT PLEASE. LEARN HOW TO DRAW DIVERSE BODY TYPES PEOPLE. anyway i think sneeg should get to bitch about it all he wants.
#hes talked about it so many times dude hgrgh#also i KNOW a lot of these people damn well have the capacity to learn because their art has a damn professional level of polish#''it's a stylistic choice“ JUST ADMIT ITS FATPHOBIA DUDE.

Sometimes having an editor’s eye is like saying “I have a pilot’s excellent sense of direction, I have GPS on my phone, I am standing next to a signpost, and we all agree the direction is THIS way” while cavalier writers who don’t care about publishing and therefore rightfully don’t have to care about the minutiae of grammar, wielding “..” willy-nilly, reply “and you’re all wrong. This is a shortcut.”
(Today’s post brought to you by a Cabin Pressure quote and my own overwhelming frustration with the purposeful use of “..” in a sentence instead of “…”, followed by my own realization of the fruitlessness of getting mad about it in a fanfiction sphere.)
#writing advice with quilly#the two period ellipsis does not exist grammatically#but apparently it does stylistically#I don’t have to accept it professionally but fanfic isn’t professional and I’m not their beta#I’ll just complain about it on my tumblr and move on

Aromatherapy, physical therapy(including massage), unofficial “retail therapy”(varying degrees of self care practices through take home regimens), and degrees of psychological understanding are components of specialized care that can be offered by a licensed cosmetologist, nail technician, esthetician, hair stylist, colorist, or barber.
A simple haircut offered in a clean, well maintained, comforting atmosphere can increase confidence in individuals and treat issues like dandruff, lice, scalp hygiene, tension, stress, and insecurity.
Learning how to properly care for one’s hair, nails, and face is essential in daily activities.
A cosmetologist is trained to offer knowledge through the mastery of these skills and connect with others in a way that may inspire positive results within their community.
Massage, which may or may not be offered by an operator, can locate tension and stress in the muscles of the face, hands, and feet through consultative efforts and process of service. Especially working individuals can benefit from treatments to offered relief from tension and may learn tips and tricks that can prevent over exertion by practicing some of these techniques or stretches learned on their own.
A cosmetologist may be the first response to recognizing a potential condition that may require further analysis by a recommended specialist. They study a range of hair and skin conditions that they are able and unable to treat. Some of those may include cancer, cuts, abrasions, bruises, various types of acne, fungal infections, and others.
Everyone wants to feel comfortable in public. Your cosmetologist, nail technician, esthetician, colorist, hair stylist, and/or barber should be a trusted source of personal care knowledge and treatment within their field of expertise.

Why don’t you think he’s used GDY?
-Brit boy
bc his stylist never tagged them in her posts about doing awstens hair - iz
#also i had to re-edit the other ask i posted for you so you might want to look at that again#most likely he’s using pulp riot: a dye only sold to professionals only#and then ig awsten does retouches with whatever his stylist gives him
