Fix Them Tag Game
I love your tag games so much @bloodlessheirbyjacques! ❤️ I had so much fun with these!!
How everyone would react to my OC, Darmon Strotagor. (AKA, the human antagonist to hero and Syonehlia's future partner)
(that one non-AI generated portrait is the art that's the closest to Bra'aka's look)
Not sure I did it right, but it was still funny. Oh yeah and the characters in order: Syon, Bra'aka, Troghrun, Eldnar, Avelyn, Cronyl and the last one is Izohr.
I kinda tag always the same people, so I need to start to actively interact with others too lol but for the time being:

The Home She Brought | Aka A Mistletoe Kiss🎄
Happy Holidays, my dears! ✨🎊 I'm joining in for this little, sweet game @bloodlessheirbyjacques started with a snippet I was working on for a lil while now. It's all started with I Belong To You by Jacob Lee, by the way. It's also not an AU, nor Christmas in my world, so I guess this is something of a meta mixture lol. Anyway, thank you for the tag, My Love!
Rules: If anyone wants to join in and turn this into a mistletoe tag game for the holidays, I'd love to see yall's OCs kissing under a mistletoe, or your WIPs version of it! Whether in-world or a modern AU version where mistletoes exist. Tagging: @aschlindartroom, @circa-specturgia, @the-void-writes, @muddshadow, @stormbrightwriter, @italiangothicwriteblr, @friendlyneighborhood-writer, @approximately20blorbos, @blind-the-winds
The crisp of heartfelt laughter filled the room, as Bra’aka recited his tale beside the fireplace. The children’s sparkling eyes were brightened by the warm flames, their cheeks pink from the kisses of excitement and heat. Some little one snuggled closer to Avelyn and Nareethi while they sat in their lap on the carpet. Even Eldnar hung upon every word of Bra’aka, situated beside the armchair the old man sang his fables from.
Syonehlia quietly discoursed with Darmon and Drehana a little farther, but Cronyl could see them only stealing glances, then eventually, turning towards the tales as well.
When only the crackling fire walked around in the dramatic silence the warrior created, Bra’aka stole a glance from Cronyl at the other end of the space. He was leaning against the wooden wall, feeling a tiny smile tugging at his lips as everyone else held their breath in anticipation. They listened quietly, the children’s little fingers impatiently kneading the edges of their tunics. Then, the warrior continued, and another wave of laughter washed over the audience, all the doe-eyed little ones flashing him a toothy smile while he ruffled some of their hair.
“Why deviate?” Cronyl looked at Zaherra as she cleared her raspy voice. The elder draar leaned upon her cane, shifting her weight from her injured leg to descend beside Cronyl in the alcove. She glared at him when he reached forward to support her by her elbow. “My teeth can bite through your skinny arms easily, sadlad. Think about that. “
Cronyl scoffed and let her sit down with a slight thud on her own. Satisfaction spread across Zaherra’s face, her solid scale’s reflecting the orange light of the dancing fire from afar.
“I don’t deviate.”
“Sure you don’t,” she snorted, putting the other hand on top of her cane too. “That’s why you’re here alone. Far from everyone.”
Cronyl stayed silent. He watched Eldnar passionately convince Bra’aka about him singing next, instead of another tale. Then, his eye wandered away, right at Avelyn. At her relaxed figure as she helped the draar child up from her lap to let them go their way. At her widening, yet still restrained genuine smile. At her, sliding a blanket over Nareethi’s shoulders while she focused on the performers too immersively to notice her slight trembles.
At Avelyn’s golden eyes sparkling with such quiet care.
“I’m watching.” He kept his stare at her when she stole a glance from him. Bra’aka and Drehana already tuned in their instruments to accompany Eldnar’s voice.
“Oh, that is very clear.” Zaherra lifted her cane to knock on Cronyl’s shin slightly. “You can’t only watch forever, though, son.”
The cold slipped inside the room through the half-open window, caressing Cronyl’s back under his tunic. Its touch carried the soft calmness of winter. The blankets of snow, the embrace of fireplaces, and the overflowing longing for others.
The first accord filled the room. Then, Eldnar started singing.
Cronyl watched Avelyn patting Nareethi’s back carefully to the rhythm. She leaned from one side to the other slowly, the melody enchanting her as well as the others one by one.
“Shall we?”
Avelyn’s eyes widened ever so slightly as she looked up at Cronyl extending a hand to her. She locked eyes with him before she slid hers into his eventually. Pale roses bloomed on her cheeks as she let him guide her into the middle of the room. Cronyl did not take his eye off of them, not if he wanted to do that ever.
“What’s this?” she whispered, as the roses deepened when he slipped one of his hands to her waist.
“Dancing.”
Avelyn’s embarrassment disappeared as she glanced into his eyes seriously. Then, as a baby starbug slowly floated through between their faces, bursting out tiny stars; she giggled soundlessly.
“You’re oblivious.” Her body seemed to relax under his touch when he pulled her closer softly. Cronyl held her hand gentle, thumb caressing her skin.
Another starbug hovered around behind Avelyn when he rested his cheek on her hair. The little thing twirled with the rhythm of Eldnar’s as many more joined them.
“They’ve found the window,” Avelyn breathed, like whispering a secret. She leaned more toward him as they both swayed at the melody in sync.
Cronyl could look at the starbugs, but he didn’t want to see them. He could imagine them flowing in through the window, yet what he wanted to see was Avelyn’s gazing goldens. Her silent amusement by the creatures as they rode the cold winds and sprinkled out stars here and there.
He buried his face deeper into her hair, drinking in the scent of old books and ink. The warmth and light she brought into the grey lands of his soul. The wildflowers she grew on the ruins of his wall she stripped away brick by brick.
The home she brought him.
Cronyl planted a wisp of a kiss upon the back of her hand.
“In another world, I might have been a mapmaker just like my mother. Selling to the royals, bringing the images of artists alive. Helping out the poor who lost their way.” He could feel a smile spreading across her lips as she listened to his quiet tale. “Or a bookbinder. I might have gotten excited about finding the perfect leather for a story or a lexicon like Father did. I don’t know. But, there’s one thing I know for certain.”
She hummed, waiting patiently. Always waiting patiently.
“In another world, I’ve proposed to you a long time ago,” he ended his vow as she froze for a moment. Then, slowly, she leaned back so long as she could look into his eye finally. Soundlessly bursting stars behind her turned Avelyn slightly surprised figure into a glowing phenomenon. Cronyl inched closer to her. “It’s a pity I need to wait until all this ends in this one.”
Avelyn’s lips parted ever so slightly, tender mist conquering her gold-tinted irises.
Then, a little chime, a soft jingle really; dragged their attention back into the room eventually. They both turned to the sound, up under their heads.
A mistletoe embraced with a little bell hung over them, finely attached to a faintly glowing crystal. Its purple shine vibrated and the bell chimed again as the crystal wiggled a bit.
Cronyl loosened his touch just enough so Avelyn could glance behind herself, right at the smirking, smiling bunch that stared at them. Syon, Nareethi and Drehana’s subtly mischievous expressions clearly stated who encouraged the calm, yet smiling Darmon to call his crystals out for this. Eldnar seemed way too satisfied by Bra’aka who leaned back in his seat, winking at both of them. The children did not look at them, but Cronyl could see the curious little glances they shot them while they tried to seem occupied.
He could even feel Zaherra’s grumpy and pleased stare at his back.
“Don’t mind us,” Eldnar stated loudly, a smirk widening on his punchable face.
The home she brought to him.
Cronyl felt a genuine, unstoppable chuckle bubble up in his throat, which guided Avelyn’s eyes at him. Sweet confusion spread across her features, the roses on her cheeks burst out new blooms the same way starbugs did with the stars around them.
He pulled her closer, his hand finding its way to cup her face.
Avelyn’s rose garden grew more crowded when she followed him with her sparkling goldens.
“They’re all watching.”
Cronyl didn’t see, nor hear, let alone feel them. He didn’t care.
He saw her, and her only.
A tiny, tiny smile found his ragged lips.
“Let them,” he whispered before he softly leaned onto her lips, tasting home for the hundredth times.

Artflow AI Generated OC Portraits
Thank you for the tag @bloodlessheirbyjacques! ❤️
It took me a whole lot of time to get these and they still barely match with their image in my head, but oh well. We work with what we have. The vibes are kinda right at least.
Metalsea cast by the way (without Bra'aka because I'm just not brave enough to try to describe him to this AI):
[From left to right: Izohr | Troghrun | Darmon Strotagor ]

[From left to right: Eldnar Ronwel | Cronyl Eldenwer | Syonehlia Dione | Avelyn Dione ]
Eldnar supposed to have pointy ears too lmao, but the generator did not wanted to give me one usable photo with that. Also, the eyes are totally different colors than these too, BUT WHATEVER.
It was still fun tho!! :')
No pressure tagging, just saying hi and how are you lovelies? ❤️ I love seeing OC's tho hehe.

OC Superlatives Tag Game
Thank you for the tag @jess-p-edits! ❤️❤️ I'll make this for Metalsea because it got a bigger cast.
Most arrogant: Prince-Later-King Urien. I guess this is the perfect spot for royalties. He has a lot of issues which results in him being someone that speaks very highly about himself and has an urge to tell anyone how important he is. While he isn't that much, really.
Most humble: Avelyn for sure. She is a very insecure personality, even though she is the brain and the biggest support of the group. She's very educated, and an actually talented magic user, but she has flaws as everyone else. And growing up in an environment where being flawed or mistaken could have been basically a crime, she do needs to working on her standards towards herself. She also gets surprised when someone compliments her or tells her she did a good job, because she just never thinks about her stuff like that.
Most charming: Eldnar or Nareethi, but for really different reasons. Eldnar is intentionally tries to be charming, taking advantage of his look and easy-going personality. Nareethi however is just naturally a very lovely soul that can be charming for a lot of people.
Most aggressive: I would say Syonehlia, but not really in a physical way. (Even tho, she can be merciless if it's about fighting the enemy.) She's very forward with her words and if she needs to convince someone she won't hold herself back. She's also pretty good at aggressive politics.
Least talkative: Definitely Cronyl. He's a very private person, since he won't give his trust easily. He's cautious and tries to be thoughtful and usually succeeds on this one. People around him learn to stay quite when he has something to say.
Most relatable: It certainly depends on the person who reads it, but for me personally, Avelyn is the one. I also very much hope so I can make her the most relatable character. Because she's the one that chooses a path early in her life that seemes the best choice since her parents and her environment told her it suits her, but she's not sure she fits in. As much as the other character's has a similar "finding their place in the world" story and arc, she's the one that really needs this to find peace within herself. And I think she's the one that will really guide us through the "growing up and finding our places in the world as an adult" phase.
Least relatable: Bra'aka or Darmon. Since Bra'aka is draar (a monster looking person with a very different cultural background) then I think he's already someone who people can't relate that much, while Darmon is just basically an immortal character who lived some thousand years. They're both have very different approaches on morals and interactions than we have.
Most ambitious: I would say Cronyl. He may be a ball of emotional trauma, but he will do anything to change the world for the better. And he already does that from the start.
Most easy-going: Eldnar, as I've mentioned earlier. He is a fun side character who likes to make the others around him feel comfortable. Jokes and stuff may hide a little more however.
Most high-strung: Nareethi for sure. She's an emotional roller coaster in one person. If something goes down, she may start to even shake a little bit, but that doesn't mean she will freeze. She still can and will participate in solving problems.
Most pretentious: Prince-Later-King Urien, absolutely. He's very sure about what he's doing, even though everyone is againts it. With a good reason.
Most cheerful: Nareethi. She's just a ball of sunshine most of the time and is very optimistic. She's also the most talkative person of the group, so she's always talking about something nonsense, that can cheer up someone.
Most patient: In a world where everyone always fighting and running towards the wall head first, Avelyn is literally a savior sometimes. She grows into such an understanding person who can prevent disasters time to time.
Most diligent: Oh, a lot of them. Avelyn, Cronyl, Darmon, Bra'aka.
This was so much fun!!

Happy STS!
Amazon or Netflix want to adapt Metalsea. Assuming you have complete creative control what would your requirements be in order to make it a product that is up to your ideal standards?
Aw, happy late STS, Nectar! ❤️ Thank you for your question!
I've never thought about this before, but it's so interesting I was sitting on it for a bit.
It definitely would be an animated series. I am someone who graduated from animation and later 3D modelling which naturally made me lean more into these stuff, so I can only picture Metalsea as animation rather than live action. Onidia is full of things that are not in our real world, which could be better executed and visualized in that kind of media. (The draar for example have literally a humanoid, half-dragon half-something other predator look) Especially because I would never settle with less than what's in the book, visual-wise. An Arcane kind of production would be amazing, but I'm a huge fan of a Castlevania and ATLA kind of 2D work too (or any traditional animation), so as long as it looks nice and the movements of the character’s flow I'm happy with it.
I wouldn’t want it to have a hundred seasons, so probably 2 or 3. More can be whacky, also take away the satisfaction from the ending if it’s too lenghty. I would only do more if the production and writing team is good and can handle it well. But we also should need more episodes then so all the arc can have enough time, so I think I would go with 2 or 3 seasons and 15-20 episodes in each maybe. I also wouldn’t want to have only one season planned beforehand, because that’s the thing a lot of shows fail at. At least one more season should be planned from the beginning because it’s gonna be rushed and a mess if we want to continue but have no actual clue how to.
I would debate whether it should be a straight adaptation of the book or not. There are certain changes that should be always done while adapting since visual media is different for a reason. But, I also consider that maybe another story in the same world would be better, that rather completes the full picture of the book or plays in the rest of the world and shows the full range of it. Explores different places, characters, cultures. Different media sometimes requires a different story. The Metalsea cast would be mentioned, present and/or in it just it just wouldn’t be their story, since that has been already told in the book. (this is something I considered after listening a Brando Sando podcast, it’s a very interesting but considerable thing I think)
My world is divers and I wouldn’t let it be presented otherwise. I wouldn’t want to change the appearance of my characters, neither their gender. In an animated series. However, if it would be a live action for some reason, I would be okay with gender-swapping and having even more POC character in it. As long as the actors grasp the characters’ personality it wouldn’t matter if they wouldn’t look the same as I originally wrote them in the book. New media, new look. Totally fine.
Guillermo Del Toro. I love that man and his work from the bottom of my heart. So, I would definitely attempt to ask him to direct and curate the whole project. He can make the best fantastical, yet haunting stuff.
Accents. I want a bunch of accents to be presented. Also speaking various languages, maybe my imaginery ones too haha.
I would also stay open for new ideas. Always. I’m a huge team player and we can’t make a good movie or series alone. Hell, I even can’t make a good story without others. I need people who question my ideas, tell me if it sounds wrong or illogical, or them to add more to it if some ideas gave them a good push for a concept. So, I would be totally open for any changes and brainstorming as long as they can still convey the visions, messages and vibes we intend to put in it.
A working and cooperating team would be the base requriment of course. This was very interesting to think about tho, so thank you again!❤️
#storyteller saturday#almost#writing community#i literally change a lot of things all the time so#i might be even too open#im not that confident in anything haha#also off topic#but trying to answer your ask about my old wips but those will took a little time#since fenglig I and II are literal chapters hehe#short ones but they need traslation

Happy WBW! What is your favourite setting from the Metalsea Project?
Happy WBW!! <3 Thank you for the ask!
One of my favorite setting in Project Metalsea is not exclusively just in that story, but I guess this is a little bit complicated and I haven’t really talked about it yet. But I try to talk about it in a way that makes sense. Also, it’s the biggest spoiler for any of my story lmao, but also a fun bit (and my also biggest favorite thing about my stories) and I would literally share everything about my wips, so I just leave here under a cut hehe
So, I planned to connect my stories by having a kind of place in reality (between time and space, something like that) where these creatures live that can step into another realities/ travel to one world to another and can directly contact The Three Gods of Everything. These creatures not exactly lesser gods, but that’s the best way we could comprehend what they are. I named them zaphrin.
Things happen between the Gods and so the zaphrin needs to interfere with the life of mortals in their own different realities. Which means they will appear everywhere, but (and this is why they are my favorite) their original form and place is not comprehensible for mortals. Just like with Cthulhu for example, zaphrin would make them mad by only appearing before them (not on purpose tho), so their appearance differ in every story because characters can only see them as something they already know very well and comfortable with it. Which means, if the cast of Metalsea meets a zaphrin, then the draar character will see them as a draar person, but the driadlin will see them as a driadlin. They will also see the place of zaphrin's different too, the draar similar to a draar enviroment, the driadlin similar to a driadlin enviroment etc.
However, Project Metalsea is one of the stories where one of the characters would get a glimps (for the first time) from their real form and the real look of their place. But the zaphrin will ask that character to not use this ability because it can still make some demage in the character’s mind if they're not careful, since they’re still mortal.
I could talk about them for ages, but they're still not fully finished. The only thing that is sure about them is what I wrote down and that some zaphrin will show up in every one of my works hehe
I hope they're makes sense lol Please tell me if something is off! <3
