a/n: hey lovelies! I hope you like this chapter! I really had trouble writing the final bc well, youll see why. I had two alternative ends. But yeah. This was the chosen one hehehe (don't hate me a lot)

SINGAPORE. 30/9

"This is a beautiful place" she smiled looking around, walking inside the hotel suite they shared.

"Right?" Pierre smiled.

After a whole month of promoting her recent works, traveling around the world to do press conferences, she took a well deserved rest and went to support her partner. Fake partner.

"Thank you for coming, really" he smiled looking at her, sitting on the bed while she put all her things out of her suitcase.

"I missed you" she smiled looking back at him, putting the last piece of cloth on the wardrobe and walking towards him.

He wrapped his arms around her legs pulling her to his lap, placing his hands firmly on her hips. There's no more awkwardness. They know there are feelings, but none of them will say it. They know the touches are different from the first time, the kisses are full of love, and their gazes how true feelings, no more acting.

"I missed you too" he whispered pressing their lips together. "How was the tour of the movie?"

"Better than I thought" she smiled weakly. "You coming to Venice last week was the best decision. I can't thank you enough, really"

"Don't worry about it, love. Now you can relax, okay?" Pierre smiled looking at him, playing with her golden hair. "Just take a relaxing bath. You don't have to come today to the practices, really"

"Are you sure?" she whispered brushing his hair with her fingers. "I mean, I will get bored. You sure you don't want me to go with you?"

He sighed and looked up at her. Of course he wants her to go with him.

"Let's have lunch, hm?" she smiled on his lips, gifting him small kisses between words. "I promise you I'll take a small on your room on the hospitality, okay?"

"Okay" he nodded, squeezing her ass softly making her giggle. "Let's go"

She changed her clothes, not caring if he was there in front of her. He enjoyed watching her getting naked in front of him, feeling how comfortable she was with him there. They act like a real couple, and looking at the calendar it makes his heart ache, just like hers, knowing that soon they will have to walk on different ways.

After they finished their lunch they went to the track. He laughed softly at her looking how she fixed her make up on the car next to him, applying a soft shade of red lipstick on her lips and then on her cheeks as a blush.

Getting out of the car he was the one that opened the door for her, holding her hand and helping her get out with a kiss on her cheek.

"Let's go" she smiled pecking his lips and walking to the paddock, holding his hand looking at him while he talked to other people.

Once they walked inside his room she just sat on the couch, yawning and stretching her arms. He looked at her with a soft smile on his lips.

"Sleep, okay?" he smiled giving her the hoodie he took off. "I'll come here after the first practice to wake you up".

"Good luck" she smiled putting his hoodie, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him. "And drive safe"

"I always drive safe" he smiled, pecking her lips softly. "Now sleep, you need it"

She did what he asked her, laying on the couch and putting the hood over her head, closing her eyes and falling asleep breathing the scent she has missed.

Time flew quickly, the first practice ended soon and before she knew it he was walking inside the room with a smile on his lips looking down at her sleeping figure.

"Wake up, little dragon" he chuckled brushing her hair out of her face.

"God, I missed hearing you calling me like that" she chuckled opening her eyes. "How did the practice went?"

"Nice, I was P9" he shrugged his shoulders and looked at her.

"Hey, Top 10, that's good" she said sitting on the couch. "I'll go to the second practice, okay?"

He smiled and kiss her lips softly, his hand on her jaw pulling her close to him. She moaned softly on his lips, letting him slide his tongue inside her mouth and start a fight with her tongue. It was deep, but not rough neither passionate.

"Let's go before you make me have a more obvious boner" Pierre whispered on her lips with a smirk.

"If I'm the one that can touch it I don't mind to keep kissing you" she whispered biting his lips softly, making him groan.

But the make out session that could be more was interrupted my a knock on the door, making Pierre groan and Annelise chuckle gettingnoutnof his lap.

"Yeah, come in?" Pierre groaned filing the boner on his suit.

The door opened and Yuki walked in with a shy smile, and when he saw Annelise his smile grew bigger.

"Annelise!" he exclaimed happy to see her. "I didn't know you were coming"

"Well, my responsibilities with the movie ended sooner than expected" she smiled weakly.

The director of the movie and her aren't in good terms, arguing and fighting on set. It made her be not much present during the premier and on press conferences, even if she was the main character of the movie.

"Well, they don't deserve your attention" Pierre said looking at her, standing up and wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "After what you told me, Olivia wasn't a big director and you helped a lot on the movie. So yeah, take it as a win, you worked a lot for it"

"Yeah, but... It makes me mad that she let me out of it" she sighed wrapping an arm around his waist, leaning on him.

The three of them walked out of the room and went to the restaurant zone, picking up their lunch and eating it on the balcony of the hospitality.

"Hey, will you get me tickets for the movie?" Yuki asked her, smiling softly.

"Of course" she winked at him.

Pierre looked at them with a smile, his heart beating so hard that he would feel ashamed of Annelise or Yuki could hear it. Yuki is like a little brother to him, he will always be even if next season he will be on a different team, and seeing Annelise –his fake girlfriend that now he wishes she's his official girlfriend– being friendly with him makes him extremely happy.

After talking a lot, about work and movies and other things, Yuki and Pierre had to get ready to go back to the cars, and Annelise followed them.

"Do you want to get inside my car?" Pierre asked her with a smile after showing her his wheel, explaining everything of it.

"Wait, really?" she gasped. "Yes! Of course!"

He chuckled and held her hand, walking with her to it and helping her to get inside making sure she was comfortable. Pierre kneeled on the side of it and looked at her, how she looked around and touched the halo.

"Pierre, get your girl our if the car! Practice starts in a few minutes!" his performance coach called him making the couple laugh softly.

Some minutes after she was already on the garage, a set of headphone on her ears listening to everything. The night was awesome, she never imagined to be on a night race, and for sure it become her favourite.

Everything was going good, awesome. Until Pierre came back to the garage. They were turning his car to park it back on the garage when fire showed up. Right on top of his head.

"Pierre!" Annelise exlciamed panicking, only looking the flames a few metres in front of her.

She saw the mechanics taking steps back and he he got up quickly, then an Aston Martin mechanic came running with a fire extinguisher, turning off the fire.

Pierre walked inside of the garage in shock, his heart beating fast. He had fire on his head, on his back. He felt it the moment he stood up to get out if the car. He was so close.

Then he felt someone's arms wrapping him, taking off his helmet and making him look at her.

"Are you okay?" she said nervous, searching for an injury or something similar.

"Yeah" he said looking at her, into her eyes. "Yeah, I'm okay"

He is because she's there. And when he's with her, everything around doesn't matter. That night she held him for dear life, not wanting him to leave.

This week was incredible. She loved Japan and spending time with Pierre and Yuki, going to restaurants. The day they went to the karaoke was one of the best days of her life, even if she nearly got deaf because of Pierre and Yuki shouting 'Hello' by Adele. But she had fun. So much fun. Pierre and her sang together, making that moment almost magical if it wasn't because Yuki broke a glass making the two of them break the moment and look at the young one.

But today is race day. She knows what happened in this place eight years ago, who had an accident that cost a life. She remembers hearing about him, about Jules Bianchi, and when she discovered that Charles was his friend, that broke her heart even more.

The day started wet, the rain drops hitting the window of their room, making Pierre hold her closer while looking out to the street. She was still sleeping, but when she felt his arm pulling her closer to his chest, she opened her eyes slowly looking up at him.

"Good morning" she whispered, drawing circles on his bare chest with the tip of her fingers.

"Not a good morning, it's raining" he said, still looking out of the window. "Like, a lot"

She looked back at the window, biting her lip when she felt how be hugged her tighter, tensing his body when he felt her moving. Yeah, is raining a lot, and maybe it won't stop.

"Hey, look at me" she said looking at him, cupping his cheek. "You can do this, okay? With the right choice of tyres and trying to keep a distance I know you can make it".

He smiled weakly and kissed her, making her get on top of him. He loved how they changed on the recent weeks. How, thanks to the surprise visit on one of her conferences, they started to discover their bodies, taking small steps to know each other better.

"I just hate this track wet" he sighed letting her kiss his chest.

And indeed he hated it. The moment they walked out of the car and opened their umbrellas, they ran to the hospitality as fast as the media let them. He has to get ready, read data, see the forecast, go to the drivers parade and make sure everything was in order. But that big spot on the wheatear screen made him get more nervous.

She felt how tense he was, so she tried to stay as close as she could of him. When he was warming up on the room she looked at him, helping him sometimes. She helped him to get on his driving clothes, unfolding everything and giving it to him, zipping up the suit and kissing his cheek sweetly after that. They went together to the garage, following him with her eyes and making sure he had everything under control.

The rain didn't stop, not a single minute. The race started, and everything was a mess, the cars made a big wall of water behind them, making it impossible to look around. She was so worried, so scared. What if something happens to him?

And then she saw it. Carlos Sainz aquaplaning and hitting a barrier, making it go to the track and unfortunately making Pierre catch a piece of the barrier on his front wing.

"Oh my God, what the hell was that?" she heard him on the radio.

She took off her headphones, not hearing him anymore, and just looked how the cars returned to the pit lane after the stated a red flag. And the moment she saw Pierre walking inside the garage she knew something went bad.

"Why the hell there was a tractor out there? I could have died! What the fuck!" he exclaimed getting inside the garage.

She walked towards him, only focusing on his eyes full of panic, and grabbed his hand making him walk away if the cameras. She could feel how his body was shaking, maybe because of the adrenaline that was running all over his veins, so she just hugged him.

"I could have died" he whisper holding her closer. "It was like how happened with Jules. Red flag, rain and a tractor. I drove next to it at so much speed... A mistake and I could have ended under it"

He was rambling, talking without control. And she met him talk, hold her, breathe her scent.

"But you are here" she interrupted him, pulling away a little just to look into his eyes. "You are here with me, holding me, okay? Nothing happened"

"Yeah, but something could have happened, Lis..." he sighed closing his teary eyes. "I could have died, you understand? I was afraid, I was thinking that I was going to die the moment I saw that..."

"I know, Pierre" she smiled weakly, brushing his hair to fix it. "But you are here with me. True, the FIA fucked up, it's their fault, they didn't learn from their mistakes"

He sighed and nod slowly, resting his forehead on hers while closing his eyes.

"Stay with me" he whisper. "Stay next to me while we don't know when we can get inside the cars again, please?"

"Of course" she smiled and walked with him, going to where he was going, holding his hand and making him know she was with him.

The race went by, Max Verstappen was crowned champion, and Pierre needed to go back to his home. He needed to erase the memory of the tractor out of his mind.

"The jet is already at the airport" his manager said and he nodded, holding his suitcase and her hand, squeezing it softly before walking to the car that picked them up from their hotel.

He was tense, flashes of the image on the car were repeating again and again on his mind. What could have happened, his end would be the same as Jules'. Pierre looked at his left, at Annelise. He could never confess his feelings if he crashed on the tractor, to see her smile , hear her laugh. Kiss her lips.

"Pierre" Annelise called him, making him get out of his thoughts. "We arrived to the airport, let's go"

He looked at her and immediately went on autopilot, walking behind her, following her while grabbing his suitcase and backpack, grabbing the passport and checking everything. His body knew what to do, it wasn't the first time, but his mind was busy thinking about the race. It was like a living nightmare.

He found himself already on the seat of the jet, next to Annelise on a private zone. She was holding her iPad, reading something he assumed to be the script of her next project.

"Stay with me" he whispered and she looked at him, leaving the iPad on her lap and smiling softly.

"I won't leave" she smiled holding his hand and kissing his fingers. "I mean, I don't have wings, you know? It would be cool, by the way"

That made him chuckle, closing his eyes while taking a deep breath, feeling her lips on his cheek.

"Sleep a little, yeah?" she whispered. "I'll be right by your side".

"I can't" he sighed. "Every time I close my eyes I see the tractor again and again"

"Pierre" she said leaving the tablet on the table in front of them and turning her body to face him. "You are safe, okay? Nothing happened, you are alive. The FIA decided to put a penalization on you and that's completely unfair. You couldn't see and needed to get out of the as soon as possible. But please, think about the present, hm?"

He sighed and look at her, wrapping her with his arms and pulling her to him. No words were needed, they know it.

"Great speech" he whisper kissing the top of her head making her giggle.

"Sleep, okay? I'll be next to you" she said pulling away from his hug and pecking his lips.

He nodded and sigh, making himself comfortable on the seat and resting his head on the crook of her neck, hugging her arm and taking a deep breath while closing his eyes.

He's in the car, in his Alpha Tauri. It's sunny, a race with clear skies. He doesn't know in which position he is driving, neither the track, but he doesn't care. The only thing that is important is that he is doing what he loves the most.

"In which position am I?" he asked to his engineer. But no one answered. "Hello?"

He frowned looking at his sides and at his front. No cars behind. No cars in front. He was alone.

No. There was another car. A red car.

Suddenly, the sky started to turn grey and the air felt heavy. The small screen on his wheel turned red. Just as the car in front of him, metres away.

Then the grey sky was heavy, thick. Many drops were making the cockpit get wet, flooded. He couldn't press the break pedal.

He saw the red car. And a tractor.

"No, no, no!" he screamed. But it was too late. The red car impacted on the tractor trapping it under it. "Jules!"

And because of the distraction he didn't saw the tractor in front of him. But when he saw it, it was already too late.

"No!" he shouted waking up by a jump and sitting straight, making Annelise jump scared and look at him.

"Hey, hey" she said leaving the iPad on the table and cupping his cheeks. "Look at me. Pierre, look at me!"

"The tractor" he mumbled catching his breath. "I crashed... Jules too"

"It was a dream. Not real, okay?" she did wiping away the tears that started to to fall down his cheeks. "It was a dream, my love"

My love. That's new.

"I..." he frowned swallowing thickly looking into her eyes.

"It's okay" she whisper pecking his lips quickly. "It's okay"

He looked at her, into her eyes. She has to believe her. It's okay, he's okay. He's safe. Nothing will happen.

He couldn't fall asleep again, so what he did was read with her the new script, helping her. And helping himself too, because having his mind busy made him not think about the dream.

But in that moment he realized some things. Some things he was scared to admit and his heart was punishing him for not noticing it earlier.

He loves her. Moments like this, where she has her legs on top of his, holding his hand tightly and running her thumb on his knuckles, made his heart beat fast. Moments where she lays next to him naked, after her letting him touch her and adore her, made his head think about her all night while holding her on his chest. And in moments like this, where she makes sure he's alright, holding his hand or looking at him with caring eyes, make him want to claim her, to yell his love for her.

But he can't. And he feels so stupid and coward for that. He keeps reminding himself that what they have is fake, that she's acting, that they will finish this soon. That he won't see her again with his clothes, that he won't kiss her again.

Many hours passed and they were already in Milan. They spent nearly a whole day inside the plane and it made them tired.

"Let's go home" Annelise smiled looking at him, holding his hand.

Home. He already feels like home when he's with her.

She was shocked. This can't be happening.

"Lis? Are you okay?" Pierre frowned looking at her.

The day started good. She stayed with him at night making sure he didn't have more nightmares and practically ignored her phone. Her job.

"Y-yeah" she smiled weakly.

They called her. Contacted her. Mailed her. She will be on the next Dune movie, and the recording was supposed to start next month. But for problems with the location and organization, they had to start earlier. Weeks earlier. Next week. She has to leave.

"It was like if you saw a ghost" Pierre chuckled kissing her shoulder. "And it's not Halloween yet".

"Heh, yeah..." she smiled nervous. "I have to do a call, okay?"

She got up after pressing her lips on his, grabbing his shirt and putting it on before getting out of the room, running to the balcony and making sure she closed the door. Pierre can't know about this.

"Marina" she swallowed thickly after her manager answered the call. "Please. Please tell me it's a joke"

"I wish it was, dear..." she sighed reading the same mail they sent Annelise.

"Shit" she groaned. "What should I do? I just... It's four months away! Four! What about Pierre?"

"Pierre is a contract" Marina sighed. But then she understood. "Is more than that, right?"

"E-eh... What should I do?" she repeated, sitting on the small couch of the balcony.

"Annelise, there's nothing I can't do right now" she sighed. "You have to be traveling for four months. Focusing on your work and anything else. This is a big production, sweety. And if you are liked you will have more opportunities"

She swallowed and turned around, looking how Pierre got inside the kitchen and waving at her with a soft smile.

He heart ached. She doesn't want to give up on the movie. It's her dream. She read that book at least two times, and when she got contacted to be on the second movie she just got happier than when they announced she was nominated to an Oscar.

But then it's Pierre. Pierre Gasly, the man that stole her heart in less than three months. The one that kissed her the first time they shared a couch. The one that helped her fight her fear to water and made her be with him on a swimming pool, hugging him like a koala while they floated on the water. The one that crossed the ocean just after an exhausting race with a flower bouquet in his hands and dates planned for them. The man she has been making love with for weeks, letting him claim her, touch her, kiss her, fill her.

She's lost.

Maybe in four months he will forget about her. Yeah, she has to choose her job first. Because if she wants to be the successful actress she wants to be she has to focus fully on her work. He would do the same, right? If they called him to go back to RedBull he would give up everything... Right?

"Okay" she sighed going back to the call. "Finish the contract with Pierre. I'll go to the recording a little earlier"

"What? But... Annelise!" Marina exclaimed, but she ended the call.

She opened the door of the balcony and walked inside the livingroom, her heart aching after smelling the french toast he was making for her.

"When do you have to go to the headquarters?" she asked him wrapping her amra around his waist and kissing his back.

"In a few days, Friday I think" he smiled. "Why?"

"Hm... I was thinking about going back to the Como Lake" she whispered. "Rent a house some days... Just the two of us, hm?"

"I like how it sounds" he smiled looking down at her.

She smiled fakely, hiding the pain. Just some last days with him, she can't say goodbye. And when he's away for the race preparation, she will leave. Take all her things and go.

They had breakfast in silence, listening to some music while humming it. Then, with his laptop, they searched for a place to stay those few days, an apartment near the lake.

But watching pictures of the lake made her mind go back in time. How they were at the start, moving nervous around each other, impulsive, wanting to do it right. And how they changed. It was fast, so fast. But she understood that that's how his life is: fast, like if he was still on his Formula 1 car driving at 300km/h. She started to love him so quickly that it scared her. It just started when he went with her to Venice, calling her his girlfriend all the time, talking with media that recognized him and complimenting her work. Looking at her like if she was the only woman in the world.

Lake Como. On the last weeks of October is a little cold. Getting on the water is just impossible. But staying there, away from the world, is perfect.

It was perfect, the time with her those days were perfect and he wishes he never has to return home and go work.

"Annelise" he whispered looking at her, how she did her morning face routine.

"Hm?" she smiled looking at him through the mirror.

He sighed and shook his head, biting his lips while sitting at the edge of the bed. When she finished she walked back to the room, taking off the silk robe and standing in front of him with nothing but her soft skin.

"God..." he sighed looking at her, how she sat on his lap and kissed him slowly, moving down on him. "Lis..."

"Ssh.. I know" she whispered before sucking him down her throat, making him gasp and hold her hair on a fist.

"Keep going" he moaned, making her move her head.

Love making was what they did. Slow thrusts, kisses, tender touches. Orgasms that left their hearts beating hard on their chests. A whole day of love making.

But what starts has to end. The happy cloud where he was had to disappear and get his mind back to work. He had to return the same day they left Como.

She nodded and smile at him, closing her eyes when he kissed her forehead.

He dropped her to the nearest train station and after making sure she got on the right train he went to his car and drove to where he has to work.

It was a hard day. Media meetings, getting the schedule ready, strategy meetings. He only wants to go home and be with her.

And when he had the chance, when his last meeting finished, he drove as fast as he could back to Milan, a big smile on his lips while getting out of his car and going to the elevator. He just want to walk inside his apartment and hug her, be close to her. He can't love her more.

When he opened the door of the apartment he sighed, walking inside of it and hoing to his room to leave the backpack. But when he saw her there, sitting on the bed with a suitcase next to her he frowned, not understanding what he was seeing.

"Pierre" she sighed looking down at her hands. "We have to talk".
