about King-Oh VS:

expected and surprised. GW is always on the list for me as VS week but never a reality because it's peak season in Japan AND China so it's just too expensive. It's only gonna be even more comeptitive this year with three popular casts lol.

There were leaks of the titles but I'm surprised to see they share the same release slot. I hope this doesn't mean budget and runtime were split into two. That'd be silly to think because King-Oh vs Donbros is a routine production and Toei is not unwilling to invest on a new Kyoryu work. Maybe it's because the Kyoryu cast's schedule can't sustain a full 10th-anniversary movie they adapt it into a VS.

edit: NOPE. The two VS has a total runtime of 55mins per DVD info. But what do you expect witha non-Inoue-writing Donbros + Katou D and a Sakamoto production./e

That said... vs DB is set in Haaka Baaka, vs Kyoryu picks up from their collab. One can't help feeling DB is more comedic and Kyoryu more serious. If the whole plot is just the Donbrothers getting Sonoi back from the afterlife, I couldn't blame them for wrapping it up under 30minutes like a stage play right? NOPEO SONOI'S ACTOR IS NOT ON THE POSTER TOT. Takamina is writing this one, so... for once I'm more concerned about the Donbros side than us? haha.

On the other hand, Takamina is only script supervisor for vs Kyoryu so the kings are likely just guests. I won't complain as long as they give us more modern shenenigans. Even if it means Prince's "Please stay as the kind evil king!" is leading to a bad end future...
