Fenris and nereus 😐
> You know asking for a conversation between some of my worst dudes should be a crime even if they canonically end up working together. Got carried away and there’s more description abt their first meeting and less conversation lol.
> Cute little google doc for preference
> After everything that had happened in the last two months, the calmness of his life right now was almost a blessing to Fenris. That is until on the way home, he was blindfolded and thrown in the backseat of some type of vehicle.
The blindfold on the way to wherever this important meeting was occurring seemed a touch excessive when the one that had set up this meeting was supposedly Nereus Proteus according to his driver and he was just one guy who had been deceased a week ago with exactly one ally to his name. Not that he had much choice in the matter as he had been blindfolded as he had been walking back to his hive and shoved in the back seat of a vehicle.
It could have been a massive lie and if Fenris was being perfectly honest, he had expected this ride to end in his permanent departure from this miserable planet. It had been a thought that increased in frequency as the fun ride ended and he was led through what the undead jade assumed was a building by his silent driver. Fenris didn’t have to continue making assumptions for very long as in two motions, he had gained sight again and was shoved into a nicely lit room.
Although the office space was average in every possible way that it could have been described, the resident made it seem bigger than it was and more daunting. He recognised the troll from mostly gossip magazines and posters, it was Nereus himself.
“I know what happened to you,” Nereus said as the door closed. The fuchsia had his back turned away from Fenris and he looked out a window. If the jade was a much less intelligent being he would have tried to taste that fuchsia blood, “and I know what you did afterwards.”
Fenris didn’t need to ask what Nereus had referred to because he already knew. He had never been remarkable even before he had to dig his way out of the ground, just a standard rebel that had still had the energy to try and change things but then he was murdered and became a rainbow drinker. He had killed the trolls that did it, made the pretty violet look into the sun and that’s what this whole thing was about.
No one carried when any troll under middle class died but if it was a seadweller ? There was action. “It was rightfully deserved,” Fenris growled deep within his throat as he made the decision then and now to get rid of the heir.
It turned out that the surprise tactic did not work as well as Fenris had hoped for as he ended up on the floor with a questionably designed trident being pointed at his throat, “may… you are a stupid one aren’t you little dog.”
Fenris was certainly not going to lower his own self respect more than he already had by reacting so he had chosen to stay quiet, “that’s better,” Nereus said pleased, “now I don’t particularly care about any of their deaths but the public would especially when they find out it was done by some… jade.”
All he could do was watch from his position on the floor as Nereus continued to speak “but I do follow the old traditions and getting rid of you would be a waste… You can kneel now.”
It was worded as a request but it really had not been, as the weapon gets drawn away. He swallowed down his own pride as he pushed his back off the floor, remaining on his knees. A hand lingered just inches among his head without fully touching him, “now that little act of defiance is out of the way, you will do as I say. I want to hear to say that you’ll listen like a good dog.”
“Fuck you,” Fenris spat, keeping the eye contact that had going through out this conversation, “as if I’d do something like that, I’d much prefer watching you choke on your own blood if I have any choice in any of this.”
Nereus didn’t seem affected by anything Fenris had just said.
“Well Fenris Kenlsh.. Here's the thing, an important fact that you seem to be missing. I could do things for you, give you things above your station or I could leave that indigo of yours locked in a cage with you for a while… see what happens, I’m sure someone that has been a rainbowdrinker for a month and a half has complete control of his impulses.”
Fenris ground his teeth together frustrated. Nereus had obviously done his research before this little meeting had been arranged and he is smart enough to know when his beat. “fine, what do you want?”
Nereus laughed in a way that could potentially be described as charming if Fenris didn’t want to snap his neck and drink the man dry, “I knew you’d see it my way hound, get up and I’ll give you the details.”

The olm is a symbol of Slovenian natural heritage. The enthusiasm of scientists and the broader public about this inhabitant of Slovenian caves is still strong 300 years after its discovery. Postojna Cave is one of the birthplaces of biospeleology due to the olm and other rare cave inhabitants, such as the blind cave beetle. The image of the olm contributes significantly to the fame of Postojna Cave, which Slovenia successfully utilizes for the promotion of ecotourism in Postojna and other parts of Slovenian karst.
The olm was also depicted on one of the Slovenian tolar coins. It was also the namesake of Proteus, the oldest Slovenian popular science magazine, first published in 1933.

Guniw Tools Q-it! Question & Profile (Eng. translation)
Tumblr media
This is a Q&A style interview with Guniw Tools from 1997, when the band consisted of Full, Jake, & Asaki. There's 37 questions in total. The internet doesn't see much translated Guniw Tools content so I wanted to post my own!! Part 1 is under the cut..
Part 2
Before you read: everything in (parentheses) is there because they wrote it, any footnotes are *asterisked & italicized
1. The name, make, & model of the instrument you primarily use? Full: Synths, EMU Proteus and AKAI S950 Jake: Gibson – E-335, Ovation – Deacon Asaki: ESP “Mr. Batsu-ichi”¹, Rickenbacker 625, concert “Asakichi no. 1”², and many many more ¹Mr. Batsu-ichi is a nickname for his guitar, batsuichi roughly translates to : ‘strike one’, a slang term used to refer to divorcées, especially of the first marriage. The actual guitar model is a ESP SA-100 ²Another nickname I think, unsure which equipment it refers to 2.   Things you must always bring as tour necessities? Full: Rubber cement (liquid rubber silicone), bird feathers, rubber snakes, slime, sweets (300 yen worth) Jake: Tupperware (for takeout), Game Boy Asaki: There’s so many things-! 3.   Things that are essential to ensure a live show goes smoothly?
Full: Get to the venue earlier on Jake: Pushups, alcohol. Asaki: Smoke!! and drink!* *the way this is written could interchangeably mean drinking in place of smoking/vice versa, so he could also be saying “drink!! & then drink!” 4.   Things that must be done to ensure the recording process go smoothly? Full: Regular life.* *following a steady routine every day. Jake: Don’t worry. Don’t give anyone a hard time. Asaki: Even if you’re drunk, drink! 5:   Typical time spent rehearsing during a tour? Full: 7 days Jake: It’s usually a mixed bag Asaki: I don’t care about every little thing like that 6.    Do you have perfect pitch? Full: Ought to not be* *like saying “Absolutely! not.” Jake: I don’t have it Asaki: Hm, what if.. what would that would be like?! 7.   Music grades throughout elementary, middle, and high school? Full: 3* *Schools in Japan have a numerical grading system with 5 being the highest grade and 1 being the lowest Jake: Teachers took one look at me, man.. Asaki: √2 8.  Your best subject through elementary, middle, and high school? Full: Math and art Jake: English Asaki: Online classes 9.  Your worst subject through elementary, middle, and high school? Full: Physical Education Jake: Math Asaki: Health & physical education (definitely a lie) 10.  The most frequent way you got in touch with music when you were young? (1) In what form? Full: I’d say probably records (LP).. Jake: △ (triangle) Asaki: I would say it was kind of a round experience...but sharp around the edges... (2) From what age? Full: Age 5 Jake: –––––– Asaki: If you're talking about sugar, a cup and a half. 11.   Were you exposed to music from an early age as part of your development? Full: I don’t recall Jake: I wonder.. Asaki: Ahh yes, I was. 12.   What is your ideal TV appearance? Full: Studio jacking.* *He probably means hijacking a TV stations broadcast signal (Max Headroom) Jake: Today’s Doggie* *A morning news segment that essentially showcases a ‘daily doggie’ acting in cute & interesting ways lolol Asaki: I’ll let you know by tomorrow. 13.   What is your ideal magazine appearance? Full: Appearance on the front cover only. Interview on page 4. Jake: –––––– Asaki: I want to be featured in Kenzo Kitakata's life advice column*!! *Kenzo Kitakata is a Japanese novelist who had a column in ‘Hot Dog Press’ magazine where he gave answers to the various problems of troubled youth
14.   If you were to compare yourself to someone like Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, and Ieyasu*, which? *In simplest terms, these three are historical figures often used like a personality test. Nobunaga – Strong leader type Hideyoshi – Teamwork type Ieyasu - Coach type Full: Hiraga Gennai* *Eccentric ‘jack of all trades’ type. Pharmacologist, author, painter, & inventor who composed works on homosexual desire as well as satirical pieces & poetry. Jake: Tamori.* *Comedian known for hosting a weekly music television program Asaki: Charles Bronson* *Western actor, handsome & manly type 15.   Part time jobs you’ve had? Full: Drawing signboards and inscribing names into jewelry Jake: The Guardsman.* *A TV drama, he’s saying security guard in a jokey way Asaki: Effects pedal shop “I don’t need the strain~”* *I think it's a joke that only works in Japanese, the word he used has a double meaning ‘effects pedal’ & ‘strain’ (as in it strains the sound), so when he literally says “I don’t need effects pedal” it's actually like a pun saying “I don't need to be strained!” E.g. kind of like “We nailed it!” 16.    Alcoholic journeys? Full: None Jake: Methyl→Nitroglycerin Asaki: I’ll never drink ethanol again.. 17.   Gambling journeys? Full: None. I spend around 3,000 yen on horse betting (yearly) Jake: Life's a gamble Asaki: 5,000 points to Hara Taira* *A pop culture reference to a quiz show where contestants & celebrities would be asked a question, the contestant bets points on whichever celebrity they think knew the answer. If you both had the correct answer you would win the points amount. A reliable respondent was manga artist Hara Taira, so many people would bet on his correct answer that it became a popular saying “5,000 points to Hara Taira!” 18.   History with women? Full: Just a few (all refreshing/simple types) Jake: ––––– Asaki: Eventually I hooked up with Madonna (enough said)
You can see the rest of the photoshoot here & here
Feel free to share/repost as you wish, I'd like for their work to be as accessible as possible!

Poland acquires FA-50 light fighters from South Korea 🇰🇷
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 07/22/2022 - 2:29 PM in Military
After several reports about a "large" defense agreement between Poland and South Korea, the Deputy Prime Minister of Poland confirmed that the country is buying 48 FA-50 light combat aircraft, in addition to 180 K2 tanks from South Korea.
In an interview with a local broadcaster, Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said that the official contract for the equipment will be signed next week.
The first FA-50 built by South Korea Aerospace Industries can be delivered "already next year", while the first batch of K2 tanks built by Hyundai Rotem will arrive in Poland later this year, according to the minister.
Tumblr media
The agreement with South Korea is the latest step in a broad modernization of the defense that Poland has been carrying out in recent years. In 2020, the country joined the purchase of F-35A fighters, in addition to investing in several air defense system programs. This includes the acquisition of Patriot systems under its Wisla program, as well as the purchase of the CAMM-based Narew-based ground air defense system (GBAD).
With the request for the FA-50, the light combat variant of the T-50 platform, Poland is becoming the seventh operator of its kind, joining Indonesia, the Philippines, Iraq, Thailand, Colombia and South Korea. The design of the T-50 Golden Eagle two-seat single-engine jet is inspired by the F-16 Fighting Falcon and can carry an in-house-mounted cannon, as well as a variety of weapons that can be mounted on hard-points with wing tip rails capable of accommodating Sidewinder missiles. It has a maximum takeoff weight of 12,383 kg.

Prodeus guy
Tumblr media
Prodeus guy free#
He separates from the Elisa and decides to enter the city's Columnadium and overload the power supply, which would have destroyed New Olympus in a massive explosion. While hiding among the city's alley-ways, Elisa noticed that "Goliath" did not turn to stone during daylight, to which Proteus lied that the island's force field must have acted as a buffer for the sun's raise.
Prodeus guy free#
As Goliath broke into the prison in order to free Elisa, Proteus first masqueraded as her to trick Goliath into freeing him, and then, after subduing Goliath and imprisoning him in his cell, transformed into Goliath to break Elisa out, hoping to trick her into leading him back to the skiff. Proteus decided to take advantage of the gargoyles's arrival to make a fresh escape. Elisa was placed in a cell next to that of Proteus, the latter whom asked about how she and her friends had arrived on the island, but Elisa simply remarks "we have our ways". Proteus makes his first appearance disguised as Taurus's Father in order to mock the chief of security, he even gleefully brings up his father's murder. She is later arrested by Taurus for instigating a riot among the local New Olympians, in truth it was the human-hating police officer Helios. When Goliath, Elisa, Angela, and Bronx came to New Olympus on the Avalon World Tour, Elisa was forbidden by Boreas, leader of the New Olympians, from leaving the island on the grounds that she would potentially reveal the island's location to humanity. Afterwards, Proteus was locked up in a force field cell in New Olympus's prison while Taurus succeeded his late father and harbored an ardent grudge against Proteus, as he put it "he is not like other New Olympians, he is evil". During his penultimate attempt to escape New Olympus, he murdered Taurus' Father, who was the Chief of Security at the time. Proteus wreaked havoc on New Olympus several times and attempted an escape into the outside world, presumably to create more trouble there for his own amusement. The only rude reaction he ever gave Elisa while she was being persecuted in jail by an angry mark was a sarcastic observation: "They (the crowd) don't seem to like you very much, do they?!". Unlike most other New Olympians, Proteus showed no grudge against humans, rather he was sarcastic and snide regardless of species. He was also a sociopathic and demented person who loved senseless destruction and mayhem, such as when he overloaded the island's power-plant which would have caused the island to blow up, something to which he didn't even bat-an-eye. After almost having killed Taurus, the shapeshifter transformed into his father once more as a scornful insult. After murdering the father of Taurus and having been sent to jail because of it, Proteus transformed into the first in order to mock Taurus, asking him to "have mercy for his poor father". Proteus was evil, corrupt, treacherous and sadistic, taking delight in deceiving and psychologically torturing others. 2.2 Seeing Isn't Believing - Apocrypha. However, it uses high-quality textures that only imitate the old graphic style. Prodeus is a three-dimensional game in a style reminiscent of a 1990s shooter. Thanks to this, even after completing the game, we can try our hand at making our own maps, as well as trying out those created by other players. The developers have made it possible to create our own levels with the help of a special tool. There are several of these usually available on each level and for finding them we will receive a special prize. There's also plenty of room for secrets in the game. Each of them also uses different types of cartridges. They are influenced by the speed of the projectile, accuracy, the time needed to reload and the amount bullets in the magazine. Each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages. Including rifles, pistols, the shotguns and others. We have many types of weapons at our disposal. Here, too, we will see homages to classic shooters, because we recover lost life and armor by collecting objects scattered on maps or dropped by dead enemies. In doing so, we must be careful not to die, controlling the points of life and armor. These can be dismembered and killed in various violent ways. The game refers to the old school representatives of the genre, where the plot practically does not exist, and all the fun comes from pure carnage and slaughtering throngs of enemies. The game is inspired by retro shooters with a focus on dynamic combat with hectolitres of blood. Prodeus is an FPS from veterans of the genre, Michael Voeller and Jason Mojic, previously working on such productions as Doom, Bioshock Infinite and Wolfenstein.

Demon Seed is Chad’s pick and for him, it’s a little hard to look at what are supposed to be advanced computers back in 1977. Even so, he really likes the performances from Fritz Weaver, Gerrit Graham, and especially Julie Christie. And, oooh, that baby! Bill observes that for a low-budget movie with a dopey, ridiculous premise, the filmmakers get a lot of things right in this forward-looking take on artificial intelligence. Bill, too, lauds Gerrit Graham’s performance but compares the trippy visual effects to really bad screen savers. The “ridiculous premise” of Demon Seed puts Jeff off a little; he just can’t buy the articulating polyhedron-puzzle-thingee that is produced and manipulated by Proteus even though he agrees it is pretty cool. When Doc first viewed Demon Seed as a youngster, he was struck by how the computer took over the house and shocked the young girl. Conceptually, he enjoys the “ahead-of-it’s-time” feel of Demon Seed. In the end, what really saves this movie, in Doc’s view, is Julie Christie’s performance.
If you’re in the mood for a 1970s prediction of AI and a really creepy, brass-plated baby, don’t forget about Demon Seed. As of this writing, it is available to stream from multiple free-with-ads streaming services, including tubi and Wicked Horror TV. Demon Seed can also be streamed from many PPV sources and is available on physical media as a Warner Archive Collection Blu-ray.
Gruesome Magazine’s Decades of Horror 1970s is part of the Decades of Horror two-week rotation with The Classic Era and the 1980s. In two weeks, the next episode in their very flexible schedule, chosen by Doc, will be Horror Hospital (1973). Is it a good sign when a movie has multiple titles and release dates?
