I hadn’t realised just how many different designs for y Jehan I had until I was chatting with @yourpigeonwife about headcanons and it suddenly hit me like a truck.. so…I guess I’m introducing all my Jehan designs to you now:
First design is vaguely Mori Kei inspired, I think Jehan would be really into upcycling and DIYing and patching up clothes and wearing them til they quite literally fall off their body just to fix them and wear them more, which can probably come off as dressing “bad” but clearly it isn’t..
The second is what I call my “60s medieval revival” which is the design I use the most (maybe because it’s the simplest one), I just really love all the headcanons about Jehan being outwardly a medieval nerd..
The third one is how I used to draw Jehan back in 2021, can’t fully say what I had in mind exactly back then but I liked the idea of them being grungier, and still just wearing loads of clothes that don’t necessarily match together like the first design..
The last one is think is the most obvious one, as it’s just my canon era Jehan design
please enjoy my first ever full animatic!! this song has always been so les mis-coded to me. please understand I have been daydreaming about making this animatic for literal years. it's, ah, a bit messier than I'd intended since I did Not practice effective time management and didn't start until june 1, but I'm SO GLAD I finished it!
Today I guess I’m fully Jehanposting (I’ve had him on my mind for the past week), so have Jehan playing the (Ancient Greek) Aulos (while, yes, in a pseudo medieval style). I like to headcanons that Jehan would be really into niche historical or regional instruments just to keep them alive :)
toujours dans ma lecture des misérables, et je viens de découvrir les amis de l’abc….les enfants, j’ai besoin de headcanons, de modern au (BEAUCOUP) et de ships. godspeed
modern era jehan would definitely have rats and they would all have unusual names but boy does he treasure them
“this one’s byron, and here’s charlotte and emily brontë, I named them that because they’re from the same litter. here’s andré chénier, one of my oldest rats, and these are percy and mary shelley, my breeding pair. this one is gérard de nerval, bahorel says he kind of looks like me.”
