The Devil’s Pokemon Team

A/N: Based on my question for my friend, Nataliepthatsme about the Cuphead characters’ choice of Pokemon, I was inspired to write down the Devil’s ideal Pokemon team based on some similar characteristics and some comparisons to his much more devilish personality. Please enjoy.

1: Houndoom - The Devil’s strongest and signature Pokemon. Because Houndoom has some some features similar to the Devil with the demonic horns curled up like that of a goat, potentially as a reference to the Devil’s goat form and Houndoom has the same tail as him.

Also, the Devil would also be in possession of a Keystone and a Houndoominite, able Houndoom to Mega Evolve into Mega Houndoom. Also, my reason that the Devil would have a Houndoom is that they are considered both the dreaded since the Devil’s the most feared creature on all of the Inkwell Isles while it is said that people in the past thought Houndoom’s howl came from the Grim Reaper.

2: Arbok -The Devil’s secondary Pokemon. According to Natty, the Devil would very like have an Abork because it would bear some mild reference of the Devil’s serpent-like dragon form, and he’s evilly crafty like a snake. No arguments there. 🙄

3: Gengar (shiny) - I can literally see the Devil having a Gengar in his team since they maliciously get kicks out of playing tricks on people. Much like Houndoom, Gengar is able to Mega Evolve into Mega Gengar as long as the Devil’s in possession of a Gengarite. And what would make the Ghost-Posion-type the Devil’s second dangerously strongest Pokémon is that he can also become Gigantamax Gengar should the Devil have a Dynamax Band.

4: Hydregion- The Devil would very likely have this Pokemon on his team because it is known to be very violent and destructive, much like the Devil’s literal fiery temper. Especially given how he Devil loses his cool and accidentally burns up his first and second finest demons during his raging tirade about his frustration with trying and failing to steal Cuphead’s soul. 😅

5: Ariados - I had thought the Devil would have an Ariados since he can turn into a spider and I thought it would serve as a mild reference to that. The Devil is capable of weaving a web of trickery as he had set up the Carn-Evil and the casino to lure in prey/victims to obtain their souls.

6: Glicscor- According to its profile, Gliscor takes pride once it drains the blood of its prey, reminding me of the Devil proudly confessing that collecting the souls of his victims is his greatest obsession. 😰So, yeah… Gliscor would be most definitely ideal for the Devil’s team, alright.

WAIT GUYS I had an idea, ‘cuz I was doing this q&a with friends via whatsapp where I put on my status something like “q&a to the characters of my cuphead au” or sum like that, so i had the idea to do it here to, but only if u guys want, and also that would take me extra work and the uploads would be a bit less frequent, or maybe do a whole new blog of it.

Opening asks for a cuphead au I have! New to tumblr so please be easy with me! This is basically an AU where the bosses have their own kids, and cuphead and mugman come in around that time. It’s a “next gen” au, but it somewhat sticks to the plot! The characters open now are as listed! However, there ARE rules.

1. If you don’t like my au, please leave and DNI

2. NO NSFW QUESTIONS FOR MINOR’S. In my country 16 is the legal limit, however, any nsfw questions for characters UNDER 17, wil, be banned and blocked.

3. There are oc x canon ships and canon x canon ships. As a few oc x oc, if you don’t like any of these this blog is not for you.

4. If you bring up another cuphead au (such as yours or the others) I will make the characters react accordingly. This does not always reflect how I personally feel about the Au’s. I love most all of them!
