apparently "The missing coach" is a lost episode of Thomas The Tank Engine. However I have said episode on official UK VHS.

It is however named "The forgotten coach" and not all the footge rumoured to be from the episode is in fact from that very episode.

There is also a disgruntled crowd screaming sound as the coach is buffeted to where it is left that was actually used later in two other episodes and it's hilariously British.

As for Thomas never being seen with three carriages, that does in fact happen in another episode and it's plot relevant, not just a mistake.

Also it seems my VHS has a 1 second shot from inside the barber shop where duck comes towards them but it's very obviously fast forwarded and looks kinda silly.

in said second someone says in a very British accent "Goodness, is that a train?" which has to be the most British way a person could react to a steam engine hurtling towards them at deadly speed.
