Ok so since the brain rot has been so massive I made this like sheet with all the cats in mistclan, this was hard as I was trying to pinpoint who is related to who avoiding the future possibilities for incest, but honestly that's impossible in a community that's so small and that doesn't allow outsiders. Look the cats won't stop being xenophobic, but it is allowed that cats switch clans (only within other clans tho, they don't like rogues nor loners, only Spruceleaf got through with the sheer power of having a headache so bad the cats though it was a prophecy) political marriage is also a common thing

Hailstar is Icecrackle and Hollyberry's father, who in turn is the mother of Pondleaves and Iciclepaw whoever's the husband doesn't matter he might be dead (also I gave Pondleaves some of Holly berries red because I thought it would be cute even though that's not genetically possible, let me live) As you can see there's plenty of nepotism going on here

Kestrelcaw is Deerpaw's mother (I know I drew her being pissed but she's not a bad mom, it's more of a society issue what goes on with deerpaw)

As per my last comic Petalspots is Nightsky's mother, and Streampebble is his horrible uncle (sometimes you can hate your own ocs), also as a fun fact dappledbranch also kinda helped raise him but I'll explain that later

Anyways some other random elements of this clan in particular and it's culture because I love yapping

The clan is situated on a mountain, so seeing mist is a very common occurrence, this is what makes up a lot of the folklore for Mistclan religión, as it is believed that warriors ancestors view them through the mist, it is as sacred as the stars to them. When a cat becomes leader it must travel to the highest place of the mountain where there is a lake turned waterfall, there touching nose with the lake is where the leader ceremony is done, for a leader ceremony it is expected that the most capable warriors of the clan go as well to celebrate.

Look I do not like original warrior cats 9 life system, it is a nice nod to the belief about cats life but it is a massive detriment to how the narrative plays out, so in my fanclan this is more a belief than a reality.

Same thing with starclan itself, think of the starclan of these cats as more in line with series one starclan being ominous and not really being able to talk to ghosts or have a secret ghost wife. The only thing that reigns true with the current series however is starclan being like a branch of many other afterlife's but I will explain this in detail later.

Diary of Silas Brash, Entry #2

We took in two wild heifers today. I was doing a little scrounging for cacti away from the cottage when I spotted them, sure as anything, bony and dehydrated but in otherwise decent health. They're a little rowdy, but we get along.

I got a letter today, the first addressed to me since I skipped town. It's a wonder it got here with no address to speak of. The messenger had clearly been out in the wastes for some time, so I invited him in for dinner.

The letter was from Tex back in Highsummit. I was good friends with them and their wife, Elvira. Tex and I met when we both worked at the Redoak Construction. They helped me get my act together; I couldn't've gone stealth in Crow's Alley without their advice. In turn, I helped them hide the bump when little Joanna was on the way.

Turns out Tex has another kid coming now, and hiding it has got them stressed. They're reluctant to leave civilization behind with a family to raise, but they were desperate to get away for a while, just until they were ready to return to Highsummit.

Of course, I wrote a letter back right away. I couldn't let an old friend suffer through trouble knowing I could help. But the cottage is too small for more people - so I've started building another one.

Heath is real nervous about having strangers around, but I've assured him that Tex and Elvira are good people, and not so different from us. Besides, Tex is a carpenter and Elvira is a toolmaker, so it'll serve us well to have them around.
