At first I was seriously debating whether or not to kill off my characters that had deep interpersonal connections, but now I think I’ve decided to just have them fall back into old habits and seclude and isolate themselves from their friends.

Ergo, Reeder going back to being a spacefaring, solitary drunk who avoids his siblings at all costs.

And Silon giving up the idea of being able to handle himself on his own and going back to live with his abusive family.
