#References to Sam and Max but indirect

Here it is and right on my birthday as well:

A Prequel to my Poker Night 3 AU fic “Monster Game Night” titled “Dead Man’s Hand”! This is set during Poker Night 1 and features my interpretation of the Player, a genderfluid person named Ziomara Martinez. I have been working on this for weeks trying to write this smoothly as I can with references and just the right amount of angst.

Me: I’m going to be vague with the Seven Deadly Vices AU when it comes to my two other AUs. Most notably from 21 Freelance Street since most chapters are toward the Cadet’s POV who is a genuine outsider from Sam and Max and I haven’t written “The Vice’s Playhouse” yet.

Also me after diving into TTIV Lore and coming up with Headcannons: Okay, I have to make references since it canonically takes place 11 years after season 3 and there’s angst potential. NYC has some issues, Sam’s going to have a nightmare, Max would share some insight, and there may be a chance that characters from SDV have or had met River before all while still being vague and indirect.

Also also me: Out of context, but this *holds up River* is the successor of this *holds up Seine* Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
