Is it just me Does anyone else think this might have been the weirdest week in H&M watching to date? It went from 'Harry was a hero because he showed up at his uncle's memorial service without making it all about him (unlike his time during his Grandmother's lying in state/funeral service). Followed by a relative quite week of journalists just repeating the story Harry wanted from this. 'He was well mannered and cordial. And spent the weekend with his Uncle Charles'. And 'he's enlisted old friends and courtiers to help him with a come-back'. And now today, just 7 days later to: 'Meghan will never return to UK without full security for each member of the family'. And 'Harry will require that William, "Kate", Camilla, and Charles each give Meghan a personal apology followed by a press conference where all 4 confirm they have apologized. Then Harry will consider filling in IF ASKED'. WTF??I can't figure out if Harry went off script and Meggy is mad. They finally generated a big news day. I was just scrolling through my X feed and realized this is the biggest bit of attention they've had since they moved to LA during Covid. Usually my feed is filled with US political complaints. This afternoon, it's almost all UK journalists with reports or comments on Harry's interview. An interview that didn't even go a full 3 mins. And not a single one is remotely sympathetic to Harry. He even made the front page of the NYP. Usually any story about one of them is midway down the PageSix section. Harry should make use of this opportunity Since it's pretty public that Harry had a meltdown at the Robbins' party because he over-indulged in the hallucinogenics, he should use that to his advantage. Call his father's office and ask them to help him find a Palace approved rehab clinic in UK. Check himself in for 3 months with 3 more done as an outpatient. I'm sure some of his old friends would check in. In his months out, he could see his dad and make his amends. Be sincere. Don't demand any more money. Then he could file for divorce in the UK. And since he'd already completed treatment, nothing that had happened previously because of his bad habits could be used against him. If he did all these things with every intention of sincerely trying to turn his life around, his family would at least probably start speaking to him again (maybe not William). Even if he then moved back to CA to joint parent the kids, he would at least be able to take his kids to meet their extended family. It would take pressure off his father in his final years (though I don't think Charles deserves that). And most importantly, it would remove her control over him. Frankly, I don't think Harry wants to work or have purpose. Like Meghan, he just wants an easy, rich man's life with no worries or responsibilities. Harry's fear of danger Does anyone else think that Harry's real fear is facing his family after all the invasion into their privacy just to make a few bucks? He's refused royal property stays twice. Insisting that the security of a hotel is "safer" for him than the security on a royal property. Once he stayed on Althorp with Uncle Charles. Althorp has NO security. Last year a group of village boys accidentally burned down an old barn on the estate. They rode on to the property on their bicycles. He went to both Colombia, Lesotho and Nigeria with just a standard everyday team. And this visit, he went to a war zone where clearly there was some risk of the area being shelled. He clearly isn't obsessively concerned for his safety. So what exactly is he looking for? His father is never going to designate him as a British diplomat. Meghan's supposed Netflix tie-in Neil Sean had a video tonight about Meghan's merchandising deal with Netflix. It seems odd to me that this is a profitable project. But it's been a long, long time since I was in merchandising/sales. Supposedly, she was to be in the Dallas Galleria & Philadelphia King of Prussia. But of course neither her show nor her brand were ready within the time frame required. Anyway, that was basically supposed to be a launch. With hopes that other posh retailers (Bloomingdale's, Harrods, Neiman Marcus, The Dollar Tree) would give her a longer term deal to sell in their stores. Anyway, I always thought the whole PR push she was running about a partnership with Netflix was just her PR. As it turns out, I was wrong.
