This could be it. Waiting “might” soon be over. Getting so restless about my approval, it’s honestly driving me crazy. I’m so done with the long distance and I can’t wait to be reunited with my fiancé. We both have been very patient with our relationship and now it’s progressing to be something amazing as we can live together as a married couple. We are breaking the distance through marriage, how beautiful is that. Long distance relationships do work if you both are patient and work hard towards a beautiful relationship.

In a few months will be our 3rd anniversary which also means we have been in a long distance relationship for 3 long years. Surely has been a rollercoaster but every moment with him felt like home, finally a home where I can be my full authentic self.

Long distance relationships require soooooooo much patience, please never forget that. The k1 visa ironically also requires too much patience haha as the process became way too slow this year. Think of it as a test for your relationship since you will be soon living your lives together.

our (myself and @srir4chasauce) K1 visa process 💳 has been long-winded, expensive, confusing and often frustrating as all hell tbqh ❕ all we want is to be together, so having to leap hurdles to make it happen finally (& hopefully) requires so much patience. it's a hard journey for real, and pretty stressful because you want to do everything exactly right and you really have to push and research for clear instruction and direction ❕ but it's the best and most direct way for us to close that distance permanently between uswe've been together in ldr for 6 years come september and been engaged now for two. (i'm an essex chick, he's the american.) there's still some more of the process ahead, but it's the final leg of the long journey we have been through. I wouldn't change the experience per say, but I would make it cheaper and quicker and clearer if I could lolall I want now is to be able to focus on our wedding and future together, but we've still got a few more things left to do -- hoping to fly out early september if possible 🙏 we're doing vegas but I can't book flights or wedding dates until I've got my visa and I've arrived in the states. but at least we can plan everything together 💗ngl it is a lil odd to have a folder of evidence on everything that proves you're together -- like a case file on yourself and your love life 😂 ( I have a folder of photos, cards, flight tickets etc etc etc ) it's all kinda weird but ultimately it's worth it to be with the one you love, at this point I can't wait till its all over and we can focus on all the exciting times to come 💞

This week was a good one. James turned 4 months old, had a healthy 4-month checkup at the pediatrician, and we marked the four year anniversary of It Was Me All Along! Oh and I changed out of my pajamas and into what many would consider to be “normal” clothes on 4 out of the 7 days, which was really something. To celebrate, I’m starting a new series here where I share all of my recent favorites: things I’ve read, watched, listened to, bought, eaten…you get the idea. Here goes nothing:

He’s curious, thoughtful, and honest, all of which matter quite a bit to us listeners, especially since he’s not one to shy away from sensitive subjects. And while this feels very deeply ‘me,’ I’ve always wished I were someone who wore, I don’t know, nice pajamas I guess? The trouble was, every time I went to buy some, I pulled back, thinking of half a dozen other things I’d rather spend the money on. Then I had a baby, and started spending my entire life in pajamas, so I bought two pairs and I’ve never looked back. These pajamas are soft and comfortable while still being pretty darn good looking.

The blanket itself isn’t the prettiest thing in the world, but it has 10 heat settings and automatic shut-off after 10 hours. I use it every night!
