Old concept art for what I had assumed Dorian to look like

Purely HCs, but considering his actions to hide the star when he morphed into Albedo, and Albedo mentioning his star being akin to pontil mark in glasswork, I imagined Rhine probably had a (pretty brutal) field day altering Dorian again and her again to fit her need of perfection ultimately giving up and throwing him to Durin. Thus, his aversion to the symbol. I don’t imagine him to look to dissimilar to Albedo honestly, but that stems from me believing in all of Rhine’s grand ego, she chose to base her ‘perfect’ creations off of herself (which is based on a much older and longer lore dump I made HAHA) and thus Dorian and Albedo were both made in her image.

The woman on the bottom left is Maertha, a Feline young adult who has been waiting for Angelina's return for five years (since she was young, probably 12-14) and is laughing after finally meeting her again. She first features in Chapter 6.

The woman to the bottom middle is Eliza, an Archosaurian woman who is awed by Angelina's arts.

The woman on the bottom right is Indie Lightrace. In canon, she's a cis male, but I am wise. She is Eliza's mentor.

The Jessicule. There are 6 characters. I really enjoyed the scene where Almond hugs Jessica and slips a piece of paper into her coat... so cute. Coldshot x Jessica needs no explanation. The Cautus woman is Tila, Clip Cliff's intelligence officer. She also buys Coldshot a drink.

No explanation for Tila x Sylvia. I just think that it would be funny if she moved on from her fiance dying via hooking up with a hot Cautus woman. I also like Tila and Sylvia's designs and think they both deserve girlfriends.

Hi dear, sorry for the long wait

It's because I thought long and hard about this one, and I didn't really come to a conclusive answer.

I mean, for prongs imo it's easy: he has glasses shaped markings around his eyes, and his pelt is often disrupted by parts of his hair that grow in the opposite direction.

But that leads to the bigger concern of animagus markings. Most which we know of are directly tied to that person's glasses, or hair colour. Mcg has her glasses as her markings, though her hair colour is never described as particularly tabby. Rita skeeter appears to have her rhine stoned glasses around the beetles eyes, that also seems to be in her glasses colour.

Peter obv has his missing finger as a marker, but that came like 7ish years after his first turning, and we can assume that he also wasn't greying at 15. Not only bc that's generally unusual, but also bc he's blond-ish so white hair would be hardly visible, even if he did start getting it at 15. Also I think his rat-ish features do mainly come down to his living as a rat for 12 years.

This is what stumps me about animagus markings. Do they change when the people change their glasses? What other markings take over?

For sirius the black hair seems to be one of the markings, as well as padfoots overall "omen of death" vibe. Bc sirius is scary, and sexy is this kind of dangerous vibe. But I'm not sure what other physical markers could translate into his dog form. I do have a bunch of hcs about his facial features, but those do not translate into a dog, other than his eyes of course.

People that are too smart in different fields/ways often are at each other's neck.

Kaeya's father is political smart, I think, Rhine is science smart. I don't think they'd get along at all. Science smart means looking for the truth and knowledge at all times vs politics smart involves a whole lot of lying.

Also they are both two people who DESPERTATELY need some sort of psychiatric/psychological help. No offence, they just do.

They met in uni and hated each other. Had insane beef with each other for no reason at all. Slapped the fuck out of each other on multiple occasions. One time they were caught trying to fling each other off a window. No reason. Just a lot of anger.

They only agree to be civil after their kids start taking a liking to each other. Because at least both of them are Khaenri'ahn and from important families EVEN IF IT'S THAT DAMN ALBERICH/RHINEDOTTIR!

It's not like Kaeya's father has lots of alternatives. Dain is there but he hates Dain more than the idea of Rhine being his son's mother-in-law. Because Dain's a traitor, Rhine may be a person he fundamentally disagrees with but at least she's someone that cares about Khaneri'ah as much as him.

mainly because i think rhinedottir would try not to? it would be weird for albedo to look "non-human" to me

i think he would always be room temperature

not like cold-blooded animals who always need a source but also not warm like humans are, in a sense

i think he would have the normal patterns on humans, like fingerprints and pores

the texture of his skin i think could go two ways:

kind of like normal skin but rough

not quite leathery, but the more you feel it the more it feels almost rubbery compared to normal flesh

or, he is just. smooth.

like model levels of good skin

maybe the synthetic skin starts to wear down because he's just a prototype and he hates seeing how he was nothing important so he has a worse quality of fake skin than the raiden shogun-

i think after the archon quest though he would be more comfortable without any fake skin

because he isn't human, he doesn't need to be like them anymore

but while in the past it was because of his contempt for humans, now he feels the world better as air whistles through his knuckles, elbows, knees, neck, etc.

when he would gets hit hard enough that the porcelain breaks, he's probably hollow inside like actual dolls

before again maybe sandrone had to put him back together but now nahida probably helps him pick up the shards and put them back together as best they can

its not as well as it could be, but the material nahida uses are stronger and would probably last longer than whatever sandrone used

Rhine: I have so many, SO many iterations of her design but the one thing I want to keep consistent is both the ‘regalness/royalness’ of her design due to the game insinuating she was an important and possibly high ranking khaenrian, but also keeping it somewhat practical as first and foremost, she’s an alchemist. I haven't drawn it yet but I also wanted to draw her weapon to be a sword? A fencing sword specifically, since Albedo’s first few NA’s resemble that of a fencer. The eyepatch is must for a khaenrian character and the monstrous arm I wanted to represent Dain’s (purely for aesthetics sake, but I remember reading a post here about Rhine, in her pursuit for perfection being inherently and unchangeably flawed and oooohf that shit stuck)

Alice: Ofc I wanted to give her the same bubbly vibe as Klee though I was stuck on whether to make her design lean into that roundness or go sleek? Ultimately i went with the first just to keep more variety in all of the characters. I like imagining the hexen kids pick up things from their parents thus the steampunk vibe for Alice as she’s an inventor and tinkerer like Klee (potions and chemicals would have been more appropriate i suppose but i already did that gimmick with rhinedottir). A dash of four leaf clovers and a dodoco on the hat and that was that :]

Barb: Dont ask me how her hat works. i dont know. It just floats. Her design was deffo the simplest of three just bcus i didnt have much to work on beyond stars, moon, fate, and stuff and thus, it’s very derivative of Mona’s design elements unfortunately. I’ll probably go in later to make her look a bit older too…? I’m satisfied with the level of cunt she’s giving but I don’t think she fits Mona’s description of ‘old hag’ yet HAH
