Costieres de Nimes located on the Southern Rhone, half way between the city of Nimes and the the Mediterranean Sea. _______ Chateau Beaubois @chateaubeaubois has a wide range of wines🍷 in their portfolio and Denim is the project to relocate the weaving process of denim fabric in the eponymous town of Nimes. As per usual, more about the winery in the 🔝stories and highlights🔝, now let's see those tasting notes✍! _______ Denim consists 50% Syrah🍇, 30% Cinsault🍇, 20% Grenache🍇 and has a deep, vivant ruby color with medium plus viscosity. _______ On the 👃 we can smell very ripe dark fuits of cassis, cherries🍒, blackberries with black olives, provence spices, dark chocolate🍫 and vanilla. _______ The 🍷 is dry with high acidity, ripe, smooth, medium plus tannin structure, medium plus alcohol. It is a medium plus bodied wine with flavours of cassis, cherries🍒, olives, dark chocolate🍫 with a medium plus lenght. _______ Denim is a good quality 🍷 (18€) which drinks best now and the next 3-5 years at 13-15°C. Mais um vinhaço degustado no último domingo! Desta vez, uma jóia da parte norte do Vale do Rhône, o delicioso “Côte-Rôtie ‘Seigneur de Maugiron’ 2010” do grande produtor Delas Frères. . A “AOC Côte-Rôtie” é uma das mais antigas áreas vinícolas da França, localizada no norte do Vale do Rhône, região de clima temperado-continental. As uvas são plantadas em terraços nas íngremes encostas que margeiam o rio Rhône. . Apesar das regras da AOC permitirem o uso de até 20% de Viognier, o “Seigneur de Maugiron” é elaborado com 100% Syrah – a grande uva do Rhône Norte – colhidas à mão e fermentadas em tanques abertos de concreto. Depois, o vinho envelhece 14-16 meses em barricas de carvalho novas ou com 1 ano de uso. . Na taça, mostrou coloração rubi intensa. Os aromas tinham fruta negra madura, pimenta negra, madeira (cedro) e um toque de azeitona e borracha. Depois de um tempo surgiram notas de café, coco e couro. Na boca tinha corpo médio+ e acidez média-alta, com taninos intensos e muito macios (de excelente qualidade). Sabores de fruta mais fresca, pimenta e madeira, com longa persistência. . Que vinho!! 😍🍷 Equilibrado e elegante, com uma textura aveludada em boca e bastante estrutura. Deve evoluir muito bem nos próximos anos. Mais um belo vinho da @GrandCruCampinas que recomendo demais!
