Born on this day in 1928, director Stanley Kubrick who started out as a photographer. I have included photos that he took of boxer Rocky Graziano for Look Magazine. In 1950 he made a short documentary "Day of the Fight" shows Irish-American middleweight boxer Walter Cartier during the height of his career, on the day of a fight with middleweight Bobby James, which took place on April 17, 1950. Unsurprising in 1955, he made the film "Killer's Kiss" which feature a boxer protagonist.
