OC Interview: Vincent Ibarra & Naota Vasile
Tagged by @dreamskug It was really fun to do this and thank you for tagging!🖤🖤
Tumblr media
NICKNAME
V: Most people call me V. Some people I've known since I was little still call me kid, but I guess I'm not a kid anymore, am I? Naota: My family and friends often call me Nao.
GENDER
V: Male. Naota: I am a demiguy.
Tumblr media
STAR SIGNS
V: Don't know my exact birth date but I heard it was middle of December. So the thing with the archer? Sagutti...something. Naota: It's Sagittarius, V. (yeah that it!) Mine is Capricorn.
HEIGHTS
V: Why do people even care about the height? I don't know, haven't checked since teenager. Naota: I'm about 5′ 7″ and V is a little taller than me. I think... he could be around 5′ 9″. V: WOW. I'm learning about myself here.
Tumblr media
ORIENTATION
V: I like men. Naota: I... I think the closest one should be Pansexual. Do you have preference? If you don't mind talking about. Naota: I really don't know, and it doesn't matter to me anymore.
NATIONALITY / ETHNICITY
V: Nobody knows who my parents were at all. Valentino is my thing. Naota: My father was Italian and mother was Japanese. I feel close to both. V, have you ever tried to look for your biological parents? V: Nah, have my family already. I've got old man Padre and Mama Welles. But don't you even think about a thing between them. They are good friends, nothing more.
Tumblr media
FAVE FRUIT & FAVE SEASON
V: Green grapes and lemons. Well I don't enjoy eating lemons, but love lemonade. Naota: It's hard to choose... apples, oranges, cherries... V: And season? Summer. Not because of the weather, because I can play in water a lot. Naota: I like winter. I feel cold easily but it's still my favorite. Warm clothes, soft blankets and hot... Wait we have another question for that, please save it! Naota: Oh.
Tumblr media
FAVE FLOWER
V: Not really interested in, but red or yellow ones are pretty. Naota: I do love flowers. Peony and hibiscus are my favorite. V: Don't forget a desert rose, D-rose. Desert rose- Adenium? Is there a story about it? I'd like to hear. Naota: Um... my partner gave it to me as a gift before. I still have the pot and it means a lot to me. And D-rose? V: The whole family calls him D-rose because of it. (Looking at Naota) You're blushed, amigo. Naota: ....
FAVE SCENT
V: Hmm never really thought about that. I think my man uses kinda perfume. No clue what it is, but he smells good. Naota: Fresh ones such as herbs. I like the smell of flowers, too.
COFFEE, TEA, HOT CHOCOLATE
V: Soda. But coffee is also good. Naota: Hot chocolate... oh this is why you stopped me earlier. Yes, I like winter and I like hot chocolate.
Tumblr media
AVERAGE HOURS OF SLEEP
V: 6 or 7? I'm not a morning dude so probably wake up later than most people. Naota: I used to have a sleeping problem but it's getting better. V: Thanks to the biiiiig cuddly teddy bear. I have some plushies on my bed too. How big is it? Naota: No! It's... not... a plush. Let's move on.
DOG OR CAT PERSON
V: I like both, but with my baby Nibbles I'm currently a cat person. Naota: I've been always fond of cats.
DREAM TRIP
V: I want to go to the most beautiful, clean beaches in the world, not ones that are full of trash. Not sure if there is any left. Naota: I haven't thought about it. But with my family now, wherever will be great.
Tumblr media
FAVE FICTIONAL CHARACTER
V: Rocky Balboa. If you want to talk about this with me, we should make another schedule. Naota: Unico. He's a baby unicorn who has a power making people happy. He's also very cute.
NUMBER OF BLANKETS YOU SLEEP WITH
V: Do you need more than one?? Naota: Yes, V. I usually have two blankets, more in winter. V: What? I mean. WHY? Naota: It's warm, comfortable... V: Man. I don't get it.
RANDOM FACT
V: I can hold my breath pretty long in water. Without any gear or cyberware. My record is 6 minutes 28 sec. Naota: That's amazing, V. Indeed. Do you train for it? V: Maybe a little? Think I was born with it. I just feel comfortable in water. How about you? Naota: I can't think of anything... I'll pass. OH.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think most of people I know have already been tagged, but if there's anyone interested please go ahead!🤗
Tumblr media
And this is Unico Naota mentioned, in case anyone was wondering. The idea just came up with when I saw the question. It was pure coincidence Naota has pink hair like Unico and I like it🤣

Scrapper
Tumblr media
TW: Smut. Language. Mentions of blood.
SUMMARY: After you get into a fight defending your relationship, your boyfriend helps mend you…in every way…
WORD COUNT: 1200
*Request*
Scrapper
Everything happened so quickly that it existed as a blur. The words disregarding your relationship with JJ and how he would get bored of someone already "used by half of the Outer banks" had your hands prompting a shove to your instigator. She was quick to retaliate with a pull of your hair while shouting obscenities about your collective group of pogues. The details of what she spoke of were lost to you in majority as you could only focus on the red you were seeing.
Fists and blows were exchanged as you only lost dominance once when one of her friends distracted you long enough for her to get a swing, the end of the fight coming from JJ pulling your waist towards him and lifting you away from the scene.
The adrenaline still remained within your veins, pumping behind your daze as he pulled a first aid kit from John B's bathroom cabinet.
"Usually you're the one playing nurse to me…"
"God, I just can't stand her. Fucking touron…Comes once a year and thinks she knows us…you…"
"What exactly DID she say about me that made you so…aggressive?"
"That you…were gonna get bored with me…" You winced as he applied peroxide to your brow, dirt and rocks picked out as you continued.
"I heard her say something else about you ending up in Juvie, if not prison, and I just lost it…"
"It was actually pretty hot…Watching you all rough and tumble and tunnel vision to protect and defend…" You rolled your eyes.
"You think everything I do is hot…" He nodded, leaning into you as you sat on the edge of the vanity, his hands on your thighs as his thumbs made soft circles over your skin.
"Can't help that my girl is sexy…" He teased your neck with his lips as your eyes closed to bask in the feeling of his lips. But a sudden press of his fingers over a specific scratch left behind by her manicure had you wincing.
"Here…" He reached into the bandages, pulling out a fluorescent orange that made you wince.
"Any color but orange…" You groaned as it was youreast favorite of the variety.
"That's all that's left, sweetheart."
"What?! No, there has to be something else…" You reached for the box but he showed you all that was left had been those brazen orange bandages. With a grunt, you pouted towards his expression. He grinned at the thought of the tribulations before you and all you cared for was the specific hue of a bandage.
"I don't want to walk around with an orange smear on my cheek-"
"Maybe you should've thought of that before you decided to embody Rocky Balboa, sweetheart…" Your pout worsened as he moved closer between your legs, enough to feel the erection pressed into your thigh.
"I've never had anyone defend me like that, you know…Nobody willing to throw fists…" His lips ghosted your own before he withdrew.
"So goddamn sexy…"
"Oh really?" He nodded, pulling your knuckles to his mouth, kissing their bandaged wounds until moving to your fingers, teasing their edges until you ducked.
"How battered are you?" He breathed a deep exhale as you shrugged.
"My knees are fine…"
'Your knees?' The second the words left his mouth came the moment of realization as he nodded.
"Nuh uh…my girl is gonna be taken care of…" He moves between your legs, pulling each one over the shoulder in which they belonged before committing to your core. Tongue quick in flicks to your clit, your fingers wrapped within his hair, tugging as he found and fondled the most sensitive patch between your folds, seducing it with his tongue before sending you into violent volts as he sucked it.
"J! I'm gonna come!"
"Mmm hmm…" He moaned into you, pulling you tighter into him with the grip he had around your thighs, until your body offered that release. He recanted the warmth of this kiss to bask in the afterglow of your orgssm, before you would challenge him.
"That all you got, Maybank?"
"I didn't want to hurt you…" He teased, tracing the marks left by your opponent, even if she faired much worse.
"I think I've proven I can handle myself…not as fragile as I look…" He teased your fingers down his torso as he carried his hands to your cheeks, a gentle guide having forced you to focus on him.
"The things I want to do to you…you won't be able to walk, you'll be so sore…"
"I can handle it…" You leaned to try and kiss him, but he moved his hands to your hips until you were bent over the sink, shorts disposed along with his own, as he lined himself into your folds, collecting your come at his head, before teasing your entrance as you spoke.
"I want that brainless touron to know how well you take care of me…Make me scream J…"
"Don't I always?" He asked with a grin of pride as this was usually the truth.
"Louder." He liked his lips, pounding into you with fingers back to your clit. His motions of fulfillment were already enough to draw his name in volume, but the overstimulation of his fingers had you belting out his entire name as he smirked behind you.
"Look how fucking beautiful you are…especially with all those little marks…" He lifted you to look into the mirror, hand around your neck as your fingers wrapped around his hold.
"I'll give you some of my own…" He sucked against your shoulder and neck in vampiric hunger and leaving behind bruising of his mark before refocusing on your reflection.
"You don't ever need to defend anything. But it's hot as fuck that you did…makes me see you're just like me…"
"No, J-" You rasped. "I'm better…"
"Oh?" He scoffed behind his own heavy breathing as you nodded.
"Because I always win…"
"Then take your prize, sweetheart…take every fucking bit of it-" He was harsh, hissing and moaning behind you as his fingers ravaged your hips, guaranteed to mark your body even more. And to this, you basked. His cock was deeper than it had ever been and moving in a pace to prove a point you both already knew well. He was yours. And you were his. No tourons, pogues, or Kooks would ever change that.
"J!" You acknowledged as he lifted his gaze to you within the reflection of the mirror.
"Look at us…look at how you look on your edge…"
"I'm so fucking close…"
"Look at me…please…I want you to look at me when you come…" He nodded, biting his bottom lip as you reached around behind his head and craned your dominant hand around his neck as your other hand wrapped around his wrist.
"You're gonna make me come, J-"
"Come with me baby, please…Please come…" He breathed in hot exhales as you nodded.
"Ah-"
"Fuck-"
"J!"
Your name would be the final intelligible pronunciation following grunts and groans before you'd reached a mutual sexual expiration.
"Shit…" He breathed in finality, redressing and assisting in your own before kissing your nose as he'd always done with every encounter you had.
"Can still want me to get you another bandage, don't you?"
"I'd say I’ve earned it…" You winked as he rolled his eyes and pulled you away from the bathroom.
A round of applause from your group of pogied left you in a light blush as Kiara moved to you with a beer.
"Do you need ice or something?" Sarah added.
"Nah…"
JJ beamed with pride as the girls looked you over. Some conversation between the boys had you catching only its tail end that made you smile.
"What can I say? My girl's a scrapper…"

The End Of The World
Tumblr media
 The End Of The World
Rocky Balboa x GN Reader
Summary: During a zombie apocalypse, you meet the famous boxer, Rocky Balboa. Will you two survive during the apocalypse?
Just down the hill was the first store, a liquor store, its windows boarded with no light to be seen through it. The town had to have been occupied by no more than a hundred people at one point. The sun had just begun to rise to the left, and in the peach-toned light, the houses almost seemed cheery. As I stared intently at the liquor store, the sun's light beamed at the store's front door. Shattered and left hanging slightly open
There was no movement in any of the streets or houses, and the morning hours should keep any occupants asleep for at least another hour. I adjusted the large backpack to lay more comfortably across my back; the oversized thing had been my steady companion for the last five years, almost the only thing that had accompanied me through The disease. It had been named The disease after the entirety of the world fell in its wake, only taking a mere month for entire cities to be overrun. It had been like any other morning. The 5 am news had been droning the week's weather as I sipped from coffee that was too hot.
Suddenly, the forecast was interrupted by an image that read “Breaking News”. The audience was then treated to seeing a very shaky image showing a reporter slowly backing away from the scene before them. People attacked others in the street, biting and tearing with their hands, fingers, and teeth. Others were lying on the cement moaning, blood pooling around them.
It was said two weeks later that The disease had been transferred from the bat to the dog, and that dog had bitten its owner, thus beginning the end. And so the world came to be destroyed by what the people before had laughed at, zombies.
It had been five years since then, and I hardly remembered those easy, lucky times. I slowly began descending the slight incline towards the liquor store, hoping to salvage a few things before the sun was completely up. The backpack thumped comfortingly along my back which had already begun to sweat with nerves; going into towns no matter how small was always a risk.
The air was quiet except for the slight crunch of grass beneath my boots and the occasional rustle of leaves. I had to decide whether the liquor store would be my only stop or if I would risk finding other supplies further into town. A rattle to the right caught my attention, and I shifted onto the floor, dropping low. I felt the presence of someone behind me within seconds, and when I looked over my shoulder, there he stood. He wore a green hoodie with faded blue jeans and had short black hair, which barely flowed out his hoodie.
I'd been startled enough that it took me a moment to say something and just as I was, he beat me to it: "Y/N?" He said full of shock. I furrowed my eyebrows in shock... I'd never met this man. How did he know my name? Had we ever spoken face to face before? His eyes locked with mine, his somewhat tanned skin clean and smooth.
"I've come to help you," he answered simply, calmly. With his stare remaining strong and intense, he stepped closer to me. When I didn't move, he took a step forward, putting his hands up by his head in defense. "I ain't got nothin' on me, alright? I'm just tryna help, You know?"
For some reason, I found myself liking him despite knowing little about him. "Okay, yea." I whispered quietly. My heart was pounding in my chest as he kept moving towards me. I was ready to run if need be, but instead, he reached his hand out toward me. "You should probably get up, we have to leave fast. Almost the whole town is infected." I took his hand suspiciously and he pulled me up towards him. Crashing into his hard chest, I hear him say "Oops" I can hear his smirk in his voice so I back myself away and continue walking until I reach his truck. Once inside, he starts driving quickly down the road.
We drove for nearly twenty minutes before he spoke again, and even though I wasn't paying much attention to where we were going, I could tell we were getting close to the end of town. "So Y/N. Where d'ya wanna go?" He asked. "How do you know my name?" I asked confused. I haven't even known this man for an hour, let alone even know his name. Yet he knows mine.? Ya gotta name tag on ya. I'm Rocky. Rocky Balboa" He said. I look down at my shirt and realize he's right "That famous boxer?" I asked surprised. "Yea, that's me. Where ya headed?" "Maybe Harrisburg?" "Oh ok. That's where I'm headed too."
I explained my situation briefly before asking why he had been on his way there anyway. Why didn't he just drive straight to his destination? "No offense, but the city is dangerous. More so than you might realize. So we're gonna travel together in the hopes of staying alive, ya know?" I nod with surprise before saying "Oh. Well, that's smart of you, I mean you're kind of odd. But yeah I agree. Maybe if we stick together and watch each other's backs, we'll make it through all of this..." I said before he stopped at a red light. Before I knew it, he turned to me and asked "Where are you staying?" I frowned, remembering my hostel from last night.
"Actually, I’m not sure." He looks at me for a moment before nodding "Well we can find a place together. Maybe a motel?" "Yea," He continued driving, and soon after, I dozed off.
                                         Timeskip
We finally made it to our destination and went inside. I fell asleep almost instantly.
The next morning, I woke up feeling warm. It was like waking up from a good nap, which I suppose it was. Soon, I heard footsteps coming toward my room, followed by the door opening. Before I could look up, he starts talking. "Come on downstairs, breakfast is ready." I stumble out of bed and get myself ready before going down to the kitchen. I sat at a table that had a small stove across from it and placed myself against the wall near a window, while two cups of coffee were poured. "This is how I make coffee," He stated proudly. As I take a sip, I can see him smiling at me. "It's not bad. It's kind of strong, but maybe just add a dash of cream next time."
When we finish eating, we go and sit on the couch. A hard and loud bang brings me out of my thoughts as Rocky stands up to get his gun. He motions for me to stay quiet as he walks towards the door.
                                         Cliffhanger :)

Eye of the Tiger - Survivor (1982)
“Eye of the Tiger”, the most well-known song by Survivor, held the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for six consecutive weeks in the summer of 1982 and topped charts in several other countries including Canada, Japan, Norway, Finland and the UK. It also won the band a Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo Or Group with Vocal.
Written by guitarist Frankie Sullivan and keyboardist Jim Peterik, the lyrics describe someone training hard to overcome hardships – fitting well its original intention, over the training montage in the film Rocky III. It has since become an anthem of sports events, particularly fighting ones, and is tied with “Gonna Fly Now” for Rocky Balboa’s theme song.
According to The Billboard Book Of Number 1 Hits, within 90 minutes of seeing an early tape of the film, the band had the song written. They based the title and lyrics on a line repeated several times by a boxing trainer in the film – “eye of the tiger.”

Rocky III (1982)
Tumblr media
Rocky III is not on the same level as the first, nor the second. It’s a bi-product of being the third chapter in the series. Based on what you’ve seen before, you can basically figure out how the story will end. This also makes it a tremendously entertaining and satisfying second sequel. In many ways, it wraps up all of the character arcs just about perfectly. If you ignore all of the other follow-ups, this would be one of the great trilogies.
Tumblr media
Three years after defeating Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) and becoming the heavyweight champion of the world, Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) is living the dream. However, his manager, Mickey (Burgess Meredith), worries a hot-headed new contender, Clubber Lang (Mr. T), may pose more than a passing threat to Rocky’s title. The Italian Stallion dismisses his warnings until the two meet face-to-face.
The biggest difference between Rocky III and the rest is the villain. Clubber Lang receives little screen time. Mr. T has plenty of presence and you "get" his character immediately. He’s rude, he’s strong, he wants to get to the top and doesn't care how. Anything else? No. This isn’t a flaw once we learn what this film is really about. At this point in his career, Rocky is the champion. He won Adrian’s heart (she’s played once more by Talia Shire). He went the distance and lasted 15 rounds with Apollo. In a rematch, he beat him and proved he wasn’t just lucky. He’s become comfortable in front of the camera, he’s managed his money well and built a beautiful life for his wife, son, and friends. Clubber Lang is a version of his past self. As Apollo reminds him, Rocky has become comfortable at the top. He no longer has the hunger, that “eye of the tiger” which allowed him to become a champion. He’s lost a piece of himself. Clubber Lang has that hunger. He’s got nothing to lose and everything to gain. To be a true champion, Rocky must preserve the fire that brought him to the top and use the lessons he’s learned to stay there. The film’s antagonist is not Clubber Lang. It's Rocky. Do we dig deeply into the Italian Stallion’s psyche? You bet we do.
The payoffs are what make this film so good. Once, Adrian was so timid she was afraid to even ask for the things she wanted. Now, she’s strong enough to meet Rocky head-on. Through their mutual dislike of Clubber Lang, Rocky and Apollo become more than rivals who respect each other, they become friends. The relationship between Rocky and his trainer, Mickey (Bergess Meredith) reaches its bittersweet, logical conclusion. By now, you know the characters so well that even when they don’t radically change, like Paulie (Burt Young), it’s ok. That’s just the kind of person he is and for better or worse, you love him for it.
You can’t talk about this film without discussing the incredible use of music. Eye of the Tiger is such a strong and memorable tune those who haven’t seen the Rocky franchise probably assumed it came from the first movie. Actually, Survivor wrote is specifically for this film and it shows. The lyrics fit the story so perfectly and that final moment before the end credits hit when the tune plays once again? It’s one of the greatest endings ever.
As before, the fight scenes will have you on the edge of your seat. They’re well shot and choreographed. More than the physical strength of the characters, it’s the drama that surrounds them that makes the blows impactful. The performances are strong, even from Mr. T (unjustly nominated for a Razzie that year). You want a bad guy you instantly hate? You got one right there.
It may take more than one viewing for you to truly appreciate Rocky III. Take a good look at the way it handles its characters and how it brings everything full circle. It’s a great sequel and contains so many memorable, iconic moments. If you’ve seen the first two, you can’t afford to miss it. (On Blu-ray, June 19, 2020)

'Rocky III' (feat. writer Jeannette Miller)
Rocky (and, by extension, Rocky II) tells one of the greatest underdog stories in cinema history. But with audiences clamoring for more of "The Italian Stallion," how could writer/director/star Sylvester Stallone build upon Rocky Balboa's story after he has achieved the ultimate goal of claiming the heavyweight championship? The answer lies in the characters themselves.
With 1982's Rocky III, Stallone ups the personal stakes for the titular hero, while also continuing to follow how the relationships between the core characters evolve. Buoyed by appearances from professional wrestler Hulk Hogan and Mr. T as Rocky's nemesis, Clubber Lang, as well as a hot soundtrack, the movie perhaps marks the series' biggest success to date.
Writer Jeannette Miller joins us to discuss how Rocky III continues the series' character-focused storytelling. We'll discuss why it switches up the structure of its predecessors, how it mirrors Stallone's own life and career, and which character relationship might be the series' best. So start pumping Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" and get ready to enter the ring once again.
Check out this episode!

The lake isn't just for boating anymore! Lakes offer some great opportunities for swimming as well as fishing or kayaking if that's more your style. The water will be cooler than ocean temperatures but still warm enough for comfort on hot days like today (it's 90 degrees out!). We recommend visiting Lake Balboa Park which has several beaches where families can enjoy themselves together without worrying about dangerous currents or strong waves hitting them unexpectedly while swimming out into deeper waters farther away from shoreline protection provided by rocks along coastlines further north up north towards Santa Barbara County where these types conditions exist naturally due to proximity between land mass vs open ocean space where waves break against rocky cliffs instead
Surf
Surfing is a fun way to enjoy the outdoors. It's also a great way to get in shape, as surfing requires strength, endurance, and coordination.
If you're interested in learning how to surf, there are many places where you can find equipment rentals or lessons. The best place for beginners is probably Santa Monica Beach because it has gentle waves that are easy on your body while still being challenging enough for newbies who want some practice before heading out into bigger waters (and bigger waves).
Alhambra
When looking for outdoor activities in Los Angeles, Alhambra is the place to be. Located just 18 miles east of Downtown LA, this small city offers visitors a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life while still being close enough to enjoy all that Los Angeles has to offer.
Alhambra's most popular attraction is undoubtedly its historic Mission Revival-style architecture--the oldest examples of which can be found at the Alta Vista Park Historic District (8400 N Garfield Ave). This neighborhood was built between 1886 and 1930 by wealthy railroad tycoons who wanted their homes built in Spanish Revival style so they could fit in with their neighbors' homes but still stand out as unique architectural gems themselves. If you're interested in seeing how some of these mansions were decorated inside during this period, check out The Gamble House (1001 E Washington Blvd) or The Marston House Museum (1504 N Marengo Ave).
Conclusion
There are so many options for outdoor activities in LA, and we hope that this list has helped you narrow down some choices. We know that everyone has different preferences when it comes to what they like doing in their free time and with their family, but we think there's something here for everyone!

Reasons why I love The Other Woman completely and with my whole heart based only on the quotes
"I need to go to brain camp [....] like you go lay on a beach and get tan and drink gingko balboa all day and you come back and you're super smart." "It's gingko biloba. Balboa was Rocky." "..........Right. See? See? That's why I need to go to brain camp."
"I don't see why you work so hard. The best part of being pretty is you don't have to. You don't see me walking around worrying about my job do you? 💅"
"You wrecked two marriges!" "First of all one of them was mine so it doesn't count."
"I'm not equipped to go on dates! Last time I went on dates I was 24 and the dating pool was everyone! Now it's like a shallow puddle of age appropriate men who are old and gross and I don't want to do that!"
"If I let you in we are NOT braiding each other's hair and drinking cosmos alright?" *gets drunk and braids each others hair*
"I am not situated. I can't even remember to shave my legs. I need like, a week of prep minimum."
"I am like Martha Stewart, but with like....big underpants."
"I can't believe I'm in the mistress' closet." "I'm not a mistress. A mistress knows she's dating a married man. I didn't know, so I'm not a mistress. Can you say that please?"
*pulls out a box of lingerie* "This looks like a box of bungee cords."
"I told you to get your ducks in a row. This? This is not getting your ducks in a row. This is putting your ducks in a woodchipper."
"I bet your dad is hot." "Alright you and your vagina need to *claps hands*"
"Okay if you killed him; don't tell me. I can't defend you if I know you did it."
"Today is a light recon day." "A grappling hook? Really?!?!"
"I lost my shit because I was a mistress virgin and you were my first one. Now I'm all worn in like an old glove."
"It's like a mid life crisis mistress! She's a cliche version of every wife's waking nightmare!"
"I really thought we were soulmates Oh my god I am so sorry, I can't believe I just said that. You're his soul mate I'm a whore!"
"You smell amazing! What is that?" "I think it's just sweat."
*Talking about his other mistress* "Can we keep her?" "No we can't keep her, we already have a dog at home."
"I think it's good that she's super hot. I feel like it brings up our group average." "This isn't frickin' Sister Wives honey."
"If we find any more mistresses I'm gonna have to send her to rehab."
"You're talking about maximum pain, right?" "We should kick him in the balls!" "....You know that's a really good thought, and I like the way your brain works. But we're thinking about something a little bigger than that."
"When you put the lawyer, the wife, and the boobs together, you've got the perfect killing machine."
"What happened to you?" "I had a fecal incident. And the only person who didn't try to rob me was a hipster."
"Stop frowning before you break you face." *smiles a big smile* "Better?" "I don't know. That's the Evil Genius smile, is someone about to get screwed?" "You screw me, I screw you back. I'm a lady like that."
"I have a friend who could do it!" "No. No no no. We are not gonna hire a hooker to sleep with my husband." "She's not a hooker, shes just a slut."
*laying on the floor in a wedding dress and holding a can of whipped and a bottle vodka* "I think I'm having a nervous breakdown."
"I can't join a gang! I don't know how to make shanks! I have soft hands and a small mouth, I will be the bottom!"
"I swear to God, every time I look into another pair of binoculars this guy has another mistress."
"My wife's not some criminal mastermind! SHE NEEDS FREAKIN BRAIN CAMP!"
"Even though it brought us together, let's never sleep with the same guy again."

Double nightmare theme music
Tumblr media
#Double nightmare theme music tv#
Nothing comes easy for us, and that’s what you hear in that record.”Īlthough Cosmic Kev places “Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)” in the rarefied group of requisite Philly hip-hop records, he believes it’s in a class by itself. He had to reinvent himself he had to fight. Then for a minute, Kevin Hart was the comedian from Soul Plane.
#Double nightmare theme music tv#
You think about Kevin Hart, this dude had a TV show on ABC that came on Friday nights and got cancelled. People only see the international superstar part. He was flat broke, then he rose and became this international superstar. “But before that, he was a rapper, and he went broke. “You think about Will Smith and people think of Will Smith the actor,” Harris says. Other icons who have come from behind to emerge victorious from the city are stronger parallels. The clear difference is that Meek Mill is no fictional manifestation of Philly’s spirit, and his anthem has not only a dynamic edge, but speaks to an even less glamorous component of the city’s makeup. It was going to be a Philadelphia anthem.”Ĭomparing Meek Mill to Rocky Balboa, or “Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)” to “ Gonna Fly Now,” the theme from Rocky, is easy. “When I heard, ‘Hold up wait a minute…’ I knew, right then and there, that it was over. “I remember listening to the where the piano is playing, and he told me to just wait,” he says. But at the time, he was pushing ‘Amen’ because of the feature, back when those guys were good.”Ĭosmic Kev was impressed by “Willy Wonka,” but also immediately recognized that “Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)” was sublime. Because, once again, the energy on that record. “When he sent me ‘Willy Wonka,’ I was snappin’ on that. “He sent me ‘Dreams & Nightmares,’ ‘ Amen,’ and ‘ Willy Wonka’ - which was off one of the mixtapes, because he had done those records early,” Cosmic Kev says. According to Cosmic Kev, the intro wasn’t the song from this initial batch that Meek was the most enthusiastic about. I didn’t think they was gon’ catch it the way they caught it.”ĭJ Cosmic Kev, a legend at Philadelphia’s Power 99 FM and one of the most respected voices in the local hip-hop community, says “Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)” was one of three records Meek sent him well before his debut was released. “But you know, that’s why I made that song in that manner. “I didn’t think would respond to that song like that,” he admitted on Hot 97’s Juan Epstein podcast in 2013. Meek Mill said he’s long felt the record was special (“Me and my homies, we always thought that about the intro,” he told Complex in 2014, in response to Drake’s praise), but he’s acknowledged that he had no idea it would adopt this extended cultural afterlife. Therein lies the root of the song’s popularity: it’s become an anthem because it channels a relatable narrative into raw energy - something any listener can feel. But being written off or doubted is not exclusive to Philadelphia - that’s a narrative many can relate to or, at the very least, understand. They, like Meek, succeeded despite being written off. Hence why the Philadelphia Eagles have embraced it as their anthem during a rocky journey to Super Bowl Lll. It’s deeply rooted in Meek Mill’s North Philadelphia upbringing the grit and chip-on-your-shoulder ambition that characterize the city are evident throughout the song. Much of that impact comes from the feeling “Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)” evokes.
