today a lady gave me a rolykit and when I opened it, it had the most cursed looking little plastic baby nestled in a bunch of beads and receipts from 1997. I tried to pawn the cursed baby off but no one wanted him so he's the guardian of the box now, I guess. It was just an all around weird experience.

Cataptation's Steelkit and Stelekat.
Steelkit - Small, round, bipedal and cannot really speak or do anything for itself.
Greater Steelkit - Same as the small one, just larger and has longer legs, better for climbing or running.
Stelekat - Slightly bigger than the normal Steelkit. Round, bipedal and has free thinking.
Greater Stelekat - Slightly bigger than the Greater Steelkit. Round, bipedal and has free thinking.
Stelemat - Extremely large, round, cannot move as it has no legs or arms, not quite free thinking but is a superintelligence. (Assistant manager to the manager.)
Stelemat - Extremely large (102 feet, 31.08 meters), CAN move as its bipedal, floating hands, and can speak. (Basically the overlord.)
Rolykit - Small, round, has no arms or legs, just rolls, and no free thinking.
Bulbo - Same as the Rolykit, just glows in the dark like a lightbulb, and can hang off ceilings.
Steelkin - Size varies extremely, shape varies extremely, usually quadrupedal, not free thinking, no stellar variant. (big dumb boss monster lmao.)
Steelkits are from the planet the main character, Mira lives on. Stelekats are not. (Hence the 'Stele' (meaning Stellar) prefix.)

Back in 1979,the #Rolykit was a #readersdigest product. They are now nearly impossible to find. After seeing my father in law use his, I searched far and wide, until I found that my brother @tiaan1229 had inherited my grandfather's, so he gave it to me :) I'm busy making dividers inside it using damaged #LPs and a hairdryer to make cutting easier. #cherryblossompursuit #musicalmadness

Portable Storage Design from the Past: The Rolykit
In 1973, Dutch filmmaker Samuel Meijering was reportedly “distracted while working on a film script by the clutter on his desk” and started sketching an object to hold errant items. We assume he was inspired by canvas tool rolls. He subsequently created mockups of his design in cardboard, inventing what would come to be called […]
