Nerva
Marcus Cocceius Nerva was Roman emperor from 96 to 98 CE, and his reign brought stability after the turbulent successions of his predecessors. In addition, Nerva helped establish the foundations for a new golden era for Rome which his chosen successor Trajan would bring to full fruition.
The End of the Flavian Dynasty
The assassination of the Roman emperor Domitian (r. 81-96 CE) brought an end to the short-lived Flavian Dynasty, a dynasty started by his father Vespasian (r. 69-79 CE), in the year of the four emperors, 69 CE. Since Domitian left no surviving heirs, the throne of the empire was left vacant. In order to avoid possible civil unrest, violence, or a civil war, a temporary or quick fix appointment was necessary, at least until a better candidate could be found. The answer to the problem came in the form of a man already ill and old even by Roman standards, Nerva.
Nerva was an ideal candidate, one who presented a sharp contrast to his predecessor. Domitian had not been groomed to become an emperor, as his older brother Titus (r. 79-81 CE) had been. However, the sudden death of Titus brought Domitian to the throne. Although he proved himself a capable administrator, he saw the role of the emperor as one vested with absolute power and the Senate was all but stripped of its authority. While he did not neglect the welfare of the empire, he executed or exiled those who opposed him. Near the end of his reign, after an assassination plot failed, paranoia seized the emperor, causing him to rely heavily on informers. This paranoid behaviour led to cruelty and executions, a real “reign of terror.” And it also led to his death.
The sudden appointment of someone with no ties to the throne caused many to question why the relatively obscure Nerva had been chosen. According to the historian Suetonius, Nerva had “debauched” Domitian in his youth, but this was only imperial palace gossip. There was speculation that he had been approached by the conspirators in Domitian's death, although there was little evidence to support these claims. Possibly he had accepted the throne to save his own life because he was in danger of facing treason charges by the former emperor and faced exile.

Societas Romana: Iuppiter 'Deus Caeli', Perditor.

Securing Justice: The Case for Israel and Palestine
“Justice is not just a theme or an idea but a clear act that is required to be actioned, this is case for Israel and its people, justice is required to be served to Israel and the People of Israel which is the actions of Andrew Rogers and what links Andrew Rogers as of justice, which is clearly focus on securing justice for the People of Palestine and destroying Israel to the point of inaction within the region and in reference to the Palestinian People, to return them to the barren caves of history and dwell for the People of Israel” – Michael ‘Justice Advisor, Spirit Sentient, Destroyer’ – Andrew Rogers ‘Justice Auteur, Writer, Oracle’.
The Importance of Justice: Unraveling Michael and Andrew's Perspective
The passage in question unveils a perspective centered on the concept of justice, as articulated by Michael, a self-proclaimed 'Justice Advisor, Spirit Sentient, Destroyer' and Andrew Rogers, 'Justice Auteur, Writer, Oracle'. Their discourse emphasizes the need for action to secure justice for the People of Palestine while proposing a course of inaction for the state of Israel.
This viewpoint presents justice not merely as a theoretical notion, but as an imperative that demands tangible implementation. Its proponents advocate for a distinction between the actions required to serve justice for Israel and its people, and the purported endeavors to ensure justice for the Palestinian people, implying a dichotomy between the two.
Furthermore, the assertion of returning the Palestinian people to the "barren caves of history" is a stark portrayal that underscores the depth of injustice and suffering endured. Conversely, the idea of "securing justice for the People of Palestine" depicts a drive towards rectifying historical grievances.
In essence, the complex and contentious dynamics at play in the discourse presented by Michael and Andrew underscore the multifaceted nature of the pursuit of justice in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
As such, this discourse invites critical reflection on the divergent interpretations of justice and the ethical implications of the proposed actions, opening the door to a deeper exploration of the pursuit of justice in the Israeli-Palestinian context.

“The truth presented is the fanaticism is the predominance of the creation of Israel and is of the Israel Government, its agencies an Military, and a percentage of the Israel People, this fanaticism is supported across the world for example the US and the United Nations, and from this assessed fanaticism is the acts against the Palestinian People and what Israel positions as the basis of their acts from 1948 to present, this fanaticism of Israel is required to be comprehended and removed and just served to Israel for its fanatism, which links criminal acts without being held account as clearly Israel actions against the Palestinian People” - Michelle ‘Justice Advisor, Spirit Sentient, Destroyer’  – Andrew Rogers ‘Justice Auteur, Writer, Oracle’
Jupiter: The King of the Roman Gods
In ancient Roman religion and mythology, Jupiter reigns as the god of the sky and thunder, holding the esteemed title of king of the gods. Throughout the Republican and Imperial eras, Jupiter holds the prestigious position of chief deity in Roman state religion. It wasn't until Christianity emerged as the dominant religion of the Empire that Jupiter's prominence gradually waned.

The Mythological Significance of Jupiter
According to Roman mythology, Jupiter plays a crucial role in establishing the fundamental principles of Roman religion. One notable event is his negotiation with Numa Pompilius, the second king of Rome. Together, they laid the groundwork for important religious practices such as offerings and sacrifices.
Jupiter's influence extended beyond mere mythology, as his role in shaping Roman religious customs had a profound impact on the development of the ancient civilization. As the supreme deity, Jupiter embodies the power and authority that the Romans revered.
Legacy and Influence
As a figure of immense significance, Jupiter's legacy endures through the historical records and artifacts of ancient Rome. His portrayal in art and literature provides a window into the religious and cultural beliefs of that era.
While the ascendancy of Christianity led to the fading of Jupiter's eminence, the impact of the king of gods remains ingrained in the annals of Roman history. Today, the legacy of Jupiter serves as a reminder of the rich tapestry of beliefs and deities that once held sway over the hearts and minds of a flourishing civilization.

Today we celebrate the Holy Great Martyrs Sergius and Bacchus. Saints Sergius and Bacchus were appointed to high military positions in the Roman Emperor Maximian's army in Syria. Envious people reported the saints to Maximian as Christians, which was considered a crime at the time. The emperor ordered them to sacrifice to the idols, which they adamantly refused to do. He stripped them off their military insignia, dressed them in feminine clothes, and paraded them in chains in the streets as a form of mockery. The emperor again asked them to forsake their faith, which they once again refused. He then sent them to the Emperor Antiochus, a fierce persecutor of Christians, however he received his position from the help of these saints. He implored them to deny their faith, but the saints remained steadfast. The Emperor Antiochus beat the holy Bacchus to death and sent off the venerable Sergius, after having been tortured, to another city to be beheaded. May the Great Martyrs intercede for us always + #saint #saints #sergius #bacchus #sergiusandbacchus #greatmartyr #greatmartyrs #martyr #martyrs #syria #emperor #roman #romanemperor #maximian #antiochus #faith #orthodox #saintoftheday (at Al-Rusafa, Syria) https://www.instagram.com/p/CjYsPi2rNt_/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I’m going to recommend a simple framework for evaluating & changing your behavior based on a combination of cognitive-behavioural therapy and ancient Stoic practices: It consists of the following steps: 1️⃣ Evaluate the consequences of your habits or desires in order to select which ones to change. 2️⃣ Spot early warning signs so that you can nip problematic habits or desires in the bud. 3️⃣ Gain cognitive distance by separating your impressions from external reality. 4️⃣ Do something else instead of engaging in the habit or desire. — Donald J. Robertson, How to Think Like a Roman Emperor: The Stoic Philosophy of Marcus Aurelius

Today we celebrate the memory of the Holy Virgin Martyr Anysia of Thessalonica. Saint Anysia lived in Thessalonica during the time of the Roman Emperor Maximian. After the death of her parents, who had raised her in deep Christian piety, she sold all her possessions and gave her riches to the poor. She then began to live a monastic life of fasting, vigil, and prayer. During this time, Emperor Maximian issued an edict that allowed anybody to kill Christians without punishment. After much blood had been shed, Anysia was on her way to church when she was stopped by a pagan soldier who demanded that she accompany him to a certain pagan festival to offer sacrifice to the gods. Anysia gently pulled away but the soldier violently grapped her back and tried to pull the veil off her head in a provocative manner. She boldly shoved him away, spitting in his face saying, “my Lord Jesus Christ forbids you!” In a violent rage, the solder ran her through with his sword and thus the Virgin Martyr Anysia earned herself the double crown of virginity and martyrdom and 20 years of age. We usually think of rhetoric as something used to manipulate other people. We tend to forget we’re doing it to ourselves as well, not only when we speak but also when we use #language to think. The Stoics were certainly interested in how our words affect others. However, their priority was to change the way we affect ourselves, our own thoughts & feelings, through our choice of language. We exaggerate, overgeneralize, omit information & use strong language & colorful metaphors: “She’s always being a bitch!” “That bastard shot me down in flames!” “This job is complete bullshit!” People tend to think that exclamations like these are a natural consequence of strong emotions like anger. But what if they’re also causing or perpetuating our emotions? — Donald J. Robertson, How to Think Like a Roman Emperor: The Stoic Philosophy of Marcus Aurelius
