After tonights lipsync I've realised that Brooke Lynn is the canadian ballerina love child of Katya, Detox and Trinity. No one can change my mind. Absolutely flawless.

okay, I've got a lot to say so here's some episode 3 thots:

- I might be kinda alone in this, but the 6-way did not really bother me as a concept. A lot of people are calling it a jumping the shark moment, and I think what prevented it from feeling like that for me is that it does feel like a logical conclusion to what transpired with that team, as opposed to something that came out of nowhere; there was set-up and pay-off to it, and it followed a logical story progression: Team Mariah bombs because they chose Mariah without any of them knowing anything about her > Ru asks them who's responsible > they say that they're all responsible > if they're all responsible, then they all should lipsync. It did make for a messy af lipsync, but as a conclusion to this episode's narrative, it was well-earned and foreshadowed. And honestly for me that's sooo much better and more satisfying than having a twist that actually comes out of nowhere like with AS3's bs conclusion, like THAT felt like jumping the shark through and through.

- that elimination sequence was absolutely brutal. The dread in the atmosphere of the room was oppressively palpable. I think I could actually feel my heart pounding as I watched it. So I guess props for taking me there, show lol

- The maxi challenge was super enjoyable! Team Britney actually had me laughing out loud with both of their segments. Also complete disparity in the two team's results was just perfect. I'd like to hope that Team Britney's success would encourage production to let queens have more creative control over challenges in the future, but then of course there's the other team soooo they probably won't unfortunately.

- It only took 11 seasons for the show to get a full-on showmance but it seems like that's where the show's taking us. I DO know that Vanessa and Brooke Lynn have broken up since this was filmed, but for the purposes of this contained reality televised program I think it'll make for an interesting new dynamic we've yet to see before on the show, so I'm here for it. I just feel sorry for them now that they're gonna have to deal with shippers.

- untucked was very petty lol, but I do feel like its helping me get a better handle on the contestant's characters. In these past two eps, Yvie has painted herself as someone who has a ton of nerve and is admirably authentic and up-front about what she thinks is right, to the point of not being afraid to stick her fingers in some messy fucking business. So far I like her a lot, and I think she makes for a great presence on the show. I'll be interested if she can maintain this bs-allergic ethos she's set up for herself lol. Silky however I have less positive thing about; I don't say this lightly but she was like legit a MESS in untucked, like she was acting turnt and they had just literally gotten their cocktails lol. also her seemingly complete lack of boundaries towards the celeb guests is...concerning. Overall this episode was NOT a good look for her.

- Vanessa Vanjie continues to be a blessing on this show, and also has been surprisingly congenial given her kinda rough and rowdy disposition. That moment in untucked between her and Nina was mega cute. We stan two congenial queens

- overall, great episode, lookin' good so far S11, don't fuck it up~

- everyone please go give Honey Davenport some love and support, she deserves it, thank you~

Unpopular opinion - Latrice sucked. Period. When it comes to talent, she doesn't even come close to the other queens with her amount of popularity, and she was playing it all high and mighty during AS4; everybody clocks Valentina for playing a diva, but Valentina actually put effort in her runways and challenges, and when she failed to do so, she got eliminated, whilst Latrice was mostly just pulling out the "I'm a legend and and a fan-favorite" card. She half-assed most of her challenges; Gia disturbing her in the Snatch Game was just a poor excuse for doing bad, and most of her runways were just a better version of the same old S4 boring bejeweled gowns. Manila Luzon is also an OG All Star beloved by fans, but she stepped her game up and she didn't rely on her popularity. If Chad Michaels or Raven were to come back for AS, they wouldn't pull that shit, they'd compete fairly and be *professional*. Latrice was eliminated fairly, and she shouldn't have come back. Monique wiped the floor with her during that lipsync. Latrice's behaviour was mostly childish and selfish. Clocking Monique for saving Monét and trying to paint it as a friendship-based decision was as pathetic as Gia's attempts to undermine the competition and get screen time, and emotionally manipulating Naomi was not cute. Manila didn't deserve to be in the bottom, and she was the one who deserved that crown the most, and I wasn't a big Manila fan in the beginning. You can't blame Naomi for her decision; two queens she grew up watching were up for elimination, and one said that she has something to live for out of Drag Race and she doesn't want to see her friend go, and the other one went full "bitch, I saved you last week, you won because of me" on Naomi's ass. Naomi slayed the challenge and the lipsync and she deserved to win, and she just did what she had to do. If we survived Tatiana's unfair elimination in All Stars 2 and Shangela being robbed on AS3, we'll get over this, but the revolting thing is that Naomi is prolly gonna get all the hate and Latrice still plays Miss Congeniality and acts like she cares. (just look at her fake - ass speech about Valentina after she sent her home) I also think Latrice counted on Manila being too sweet when she talked to Monét and Naomi, and she knew how to play it ; but that wasn't strategy, that was sleazy, same as her poor attempt to throw Sharon under the bus in season 4. It's also ridiculous how afraid the other queens are to judge Latrice fairly and god-forbid say anything other than Latrice-is-a-legend because of her fanbase. Bottom line - any of the remaining queens is more fit for the crown than Latrice is, since Manila was eliminated.

This isn't a hate message; Latrice was great on her season and her personality made so much people fall in love with her, but the tea is, she's simply not winner material, and she didn't bring it to AS. She is a huge icon and a representative for black people in drag, but it's her time to step back and not become a "live long enough to become a villain" story. Right now, black queen's everywhere have much better representation in people like Monique, Monét, Naomi, Bob The Drag Queen, Shea Couleé, Peppermint and Asia O'Hara. At this point, Latrice is delusional and if she really doesn't bring it, she deserves to be sent packing, and I hope the other queens aren't afraid to do it.
