Ok, so back to that headcanon someone had of the Cardbots sleeping in a sleep pile. I know that Black Hook would be sleeping near his crew, but where would Heavy Iron be in the pile? I know he isn't the friendliest cardbot, but I'm sure he misses the company of fellow Cardbots after being in space for so long.

I love the idea of platonic naptime cuddle pile amongst teammates to strengthen bonds and conserve warmth (monkey-core. Cat-core. Meekrat-core?)

Heavy iron was the hardest bot to convince to stop trying to be all tough and edgy and come to bed with the rest of them. It was a very VERY slow process that started with each cardbot hanging out with him to establish a relationship, inviting him to wash with them, and just all together softening the big guy up to the idea of being part of their little (big) family.

Eventually he cannot resist the longing pang in his chest that begged him to bond with his new team. Cardbots, much like humans, are social creatures—even the most solitary bots have one or two close companions—and Heavy Iron was no exception.

Black Hook, much to Heavy Irons dismay, could read him like an open book. The second the bigger bot started itching for closeness with the team Black Hook was on him like a dog. This naturally pissed Heavy Iron off since their petty rivalry still holds strong even after the eighteen wheeler got sealed, so he can’t help but to deny and resist the prodding and shoving from the other bot.

This doesn’t last long. Black Hook is quite strong by himself, but with the added strength of Mega Trucker and obnoxious poking of Shadow X, he was forced to collapse onto the padding laid out on the floor and resign himself to the not-at-all-comforting pressure of his teammates.

Heavy Iron, being the biggest and the warmest, always ended up on the bottom of the pile. More often than not he had to deal with the irritatingly clingy Black Hook and his equally irritating partners Buffalo Crush and Buster Gallon. Thankfully they tended to stay cuddled to Black Hook’s side.

Shadow X is like a cat. He curls up on the warmest part of Heavy Iron and will not move no matter how many times he’s thrown off of the larger bot. He usually ends up splayed across his chest or wedged uncomfortably under his chin.

Blue Cop will switch who he sleeps next to depending on how he’s feeling, most nights he tends to take place curled up next to Mega Trucker or Wild Guardy, but when it gets colder he shuffles his way under Heavy Iron’s arm to sap up some of the heat.

The colder it is the more dense the pile is. On cold winter nights, Heavy Iron will find himself under an uncomfortable number of cardbots. He doesn’t complain, though. Not until morning at least.
