I was looking for a makeup look I did for SDCC 2014, and I found this instead. Sadly I didn’t get to wear it at the con, because as you can see I was a bit weighed down and ended up driving home early the last day. But I had really wanted to meet John Barrowman back then and thought this was a good way to get his attention.

Really wish I could find the viral post of a dude live tweeting sdcc while drunk? One of the tweets was “Just saw a woman who’s 9 months pregnant and decided this was the place for her to be.” It cracked me up and feels like a cherry on top of the wild decision that it was.

Iris’ SDCC Diary - 03.09

Today in the creepateria, I was sitting at a table with Draculaura, Clawd, Abbey, and Heath. Manny walked by our table with his lunch, and Heath invited him to sit with us. The only open seat was across from me, and I swear it looked as if Manny started blushing. I think he was going to say "No", but he ended up sitting down anyway. We were right in the middle of a conversation about a comet that only passes by earth close enough to see once every 500 years or so, and Draculaura has seen it the last two times it appeared. She was telling us how some monsters thought it was an omen of doom the last time it passed, and they literally went screaming for the catacombs. We were all laughing, and I suggested we have a comet party at my house the next time it shows up. That's when Manny said, "Who cares about stars and planets and comets and stuff like that? It's just a dumb waste of time looking at places you can never go to anyhow." It took me completely by surprise, and I said, "It's only dumb if you've got so much muscle in your brain there's no room for imagination." I don't think I could have been more hurt if he had called me an eyesore; I asked Draculaura if she would take my tray for me, and I grabbed my crutches, hobbled out of the creepateria, and straight into the ghoul's restroom. As I was sitting in a stall, crying my eye out, there was a knock on the stall door. "Go away," I said. "Is Abbey - I punched Manny in the nose for you." I jumped up and opened the door. "You did what?" I yelled. "Relax, I am only doing the teasing." I was torn between being angry and continuing my number "4" sized cry. Abbey told me that Manny was like her brother. "He is big like Manny and is having same problem telling Yeti ghoul how he is feeling - so; he makes the large snowballs to throw at ghoul he likes. Manny does not have snowball, so he throws words." I told her that I thought it was the dumbest way possible to let a ghoul know that she is liked. Abbey nodded, "Agreed, snowballs are much better as sting is going away sooner." I think she is right. This "4" doesn't act like it's about to slide down to a three anytime soon, and I guess Gigi was right about not wishing to know what's in another monster's head.

It is actually very funny that I would not consider myself an active Night Vale fan despite one of two fandom art pieces I have on my wall is a signed Night Vale poster and one of my most prized possessions is my high school writing binder, which the writers both signed at the same event with delightful notes.

Guys Come On!!

Pairing: Pedro Pascal x Actress!reader

Summary: a stylist might have caught something in the background while showcasing the costumes the GOT cast would wear and this just added fuel to the fire.

Date: 2014

Warnings: age gap, fluff, platonic!reader (just for this one), teasing from the cast

A/n: based on SDCC 2014 press con with the cast of GOT. Hello!! new day new fic. so for now I've decided to chronologically post my fics, like the major points of my timeline, before adding shorter ones that you guys want to see.

PROOF THAT THE Y/N L/N AND PEDRO PASCAL HAVE BEEN DATING FOR YEARS!!

P.s. This is Pedro Pascal's response when asking about that viral behind-the-scenes clip of him and y/n. something began budding here I know it!!!!

“Thank you for that wonderful question, Jared! Can we now move on to the next question?” Claps and screams were heard as a woman dressed as Sansa was seen walking to the podium.

Taking the mic she introduces herself, before directing her question to Pedro.

“ Hi! My question is directed to Pedro but before that can I quickly tell you how good you look in that shirt,” she tells him hesitatingly before releasing a sharp breath.

Nikolaj butted in with an “oh, you have to thank y/—mmfh” but was quickly stopped when Pedro covered his mouth.

“Shh, SHh you only have to thank me and thank you, you look nice too!” Pedro quickly said as he slowly removed his hand from Nikolaj’s face.

“So uh to the question. Pedro, there’s a video that became viral at the start of the year that shows the behind-the-scenes of GOT, but of course, the video did not get viral for that but it was because you were seen with Y/N L/N, who for the record isn’t part of the thrones cast, having a laugh at the corner of what seemed like the dressing room.”

The fan took a second to look at Pedro, who was nodding for her to continue despite knowing where this is going, before asking,” and with that my only question is why was y/n there and is there something going on between you two?” 

The fan said teasingly even though it was seen that she was nervous with how her fingers shook whilst holding the mic.

Pedro despite having the answer still looked nervous and turned to look at the emcee before turning to look at Nikolaj who was left of him, who for some reason gave him a teasing look.

With a breathy chuckle, he cleared his throat and greeted the fan.

“That.. that’s an odd one huh. I only say odd because all the others kept asking me what it felt like to have my skull crushed.” He began with a laugh while taking long breaths to calm down.

“Now to answer the question, the..the first one. Because uhm” he stuttered as he tried to find the right words to say while the crowd let out a laugh. 

“So Y/N, as you people know is a very close friend of mine, she happened to be near our shooting location for that scene so I sent her a text asking if she was free and if..and if she wanted to join. Which she gladly accepted, so-“

He was cut off by a laugh from Gwendoline Christie, “She only came because you bribed her with free food and drinks from that pub you guys went to HAHAHA”, she said.

The crowd laughed at her words as Pedro turned red and let out a sheepish smile while rubbing his neck in embarrassment.

Laughing he looked at her saying “oh come on!! You guys were the ones who asked me to invite her don’t point it all at me”. He pretended to look offended before sitting up and looking at the fan. 

“Hi again sorry for that, so as I was saying, Y/N happened to be nearby so we thought why not catch up on whatever’s happening and told her that she can meet the cast if she liked.” He said with a small smile before continuing, “ and to answer your second question uhh, no NO nothing is going on between us, we’re simply close friends”

A fan in the audience shouted “YET” which made the whole room laugh.

Pedro let out a long breath and a laugh at that and thanked the fan for asking. But what he didn’t see was Nikolaj’s teasing smirk before facing the mic.

“ But does “simply close friends” spend the whole day with each other while feeding the other those overpriced chips she bought.” He said in a sing-song voice that had the audience release an uproar of screams and demands them to elaborate.

The cast let out a laugh as they saw Pedro turning into an even redder version of himself before covering his face.

-Cut-

The video:

Panning the camera to the right the stylist began. “And here are the costumes for characters Oberyn Martell and Ellaria Sand, the very attractive couple from Dorne.” 

“Let’s take a look at the full view shall we!” Walking backwards the stylist continues to showcase her work and explain the details of why she did this and explains her references.

But as the stylist walks back and zooms out on the costumes a known pair was seen at the far corner.

There Pedro and y/n were seen sitting side by side on the couch and it looks like the two were in a deep conversation,

The quick silence in the video was cut off when a particularly loud laugh from y/n and a loud yet breathy “Y/N!! NOO!!” was heard from Pedro but were later replaced by giggles and the occasional “what really?”.

he was then seen leaning towards her for a hug and then resting his forehead on her shoulder with similar grins on their faces.

A loud “Hey!!” from the stylist was heard before the video ended.

I know this set is hugely sought after but after seeing that backpack rattling around and a whole bunch of rubber bands rotting away I knew in my heart I had to free these two.

As. someone who's only ever seen photos and never unboxed one myself, SDCC doll packaging does feel different to me because of how little tape is holding things together. There's something satisfying about being able to open the packaging you don't have to destroy.

One thing I was always curious about is how Iris has such an odd hair colour, but seeing it in person, I can see how brown hair is blended with green.

I'm just admiring these two before I debox them fully since I'm still in awe and reliving that sort of magic from 2014.

Manny’s SDCC Diary - March 12

I'm having a hard time sleeping again tonight, and I keep replaying what happened today over and over again, especially one scene in particular. I was pretty mopey when the day started, so much that even Heath couldn't cheer me up or irritate me. We had a school assembly that I didn't really want to go to, but I got drug along by Heath, who made a big deal of getting there early enough to sit in the very top row. I thought about trying to save a seat for Iris, but why would she want to sit by me? She got to the assembly late, and I felt bad for her as she had to hop down a row of monsters to the only open seat left. The speaker was this centaur biteologist who was supposed to talk about his adventures and show off some of the creatures he had collected around the world. About halfway into his presentation, I realized that he'd never found any creature that he thought was more interesting than himself. I was starting to doze off when he brings a chimera onto the stage. I sat up. I remember dad saying they had these in the old country, and they were mean and unpredictable. The speaker was acting like it was a house cat when something spooked the chimera, and it started breathing fire. Every monster in the creepatorium tried to leave at once, and I saw there was no way Iris was going to make it out by herself, so I just started climbing over the rows in front of me to get down to where she was. I could tell she was panicked when I got to her, so I just picked her up. I think she was surprised, but she also seemed grateful. I carried her all the way outside, and before I put her down, she kissed me on the cheek. SHE KISSED ME ON THE CHEEK! I'm still not sure how to talk to her, but I am sure I'm going to work hard at learning how.
