Забежала я к своей звёздной семейной веточке

Потому что был повод!! Совсем недавно близняшки (хотя сейчас уже, наверное, можно смело назвать их двойняшками))) перешли в возрастную стадию детей и мне стало любопытно на них посмотреть 🤍

Повзрослели они автоматически, так что и черты характера достались им настолько рандомно, насколько это возможно)) Когда я увидела, что Авроре досталась черта характера "Меломан", мне стало уже смешно))) мне кажется, что в их ветке она передаётся по наследству — изначально она была у Куинн, жены Росса (супер-звезды музыкальной индустрии между прочим), а потом передалась Чарли, когда он тоже стал ребёнком, и теперь Аврора не изменяет семейным традициям х)

Увидев страсть дочери к музыке, Чарли и Тэя недолго думая поспешили помочь ей в реализации её наследственного таланта — купили дочери скрипку и записали в самую лучшую музыкальную школу. Вот только они не знают, что перед сном Аврора заслушивается альбомами Тейлор Свифт и мечтает научиться играть на гитаре так же, как она.

Эверли досталась черта характера "Без учения нет умения". Пока что малышка ещё не нашла своё призвание и поэтому пробует себя во всём подряд — спорт, рисование, шахматы, тренировки их далматина Личи... С самого детства у неё перед глазами был пример успеха: знаменитый дедушка-музыкант, папа-художник, мама-меценат, а теперь ещё и сестре пророчат счастливое будущее в музыкальной индустрии… Естественно, Эверли не хочет отставать от всех, но это также нередко заставляет её переживать — у малышки постоянно желания освоить что-то новое или добиться максимума в каком-либо навыке 🥺

Что касается Чарли и Тэи, то у них всё хорошо) Тэя даже неожиданно взяла фамилию Чарли, хотя очень долго после свадьбы ходила со своей… Возможно, это связано с тем, что она решила пойти в политику и ��днажды основать собственный благотворительный фонд — а какой же политик без образа крепкой и дружной семьи? Разные фамилии такому точно бы не поспособствовали…

Чарли же продолжает зарабатывать славу своими картинами и надеется всё-таки провести собственную выставку, которую пришлось отложить на неопределенное время из-за рождения малышек.

Хотела бы я задержаться в их семье на подольше, но душа уже рвется к рыжикам х) Хотя было еще кое-что, что мне необходимо было сделать перед переходом в другую семью…

They came home late from the adventure park, all three of them well exercised and well fed. Johanna was so exhausted she fell asleep right away with no fuss.

“That was fun,” Maria said. “I like it there. I like your friends.”

“It was fun. But… I was so focused on the wall, I didn’t get to see you in your new bathing suit.”

“Oh, no! That’s tragic,” Maria teased. “It’s a really cute bathing suit.”

“Would you consider putting it back on?”

“Even if it’s wet?”

“Maybe that’s not a bad thing?”

“Hang on.”

Maria left the bedroom to retrieve the wet bathing suit from their beach bag. “Close your eyes,” she said at the door.

She crept into the room, padding softly to the bed on bare feet, trailing a soft hand over his shoulder, bringing her chest to eye-level and whispering, “Okay, now. Well? Is it everything you dreamed of?”

“Oh, you have no idea.”

She giggled. “I’m so cold. You better get your hands on me and warm me up.”

He did as she asked and pulled her body closer.

“They’re so—wow—the bathing suit, I mean.”

“Sure you do.”

“The tie—if I pulled it, would they fall right out?”

“Maybe you should try it and find out.”

She hoped this would never change. After three months together, he still made her feel so adored. Even if he’d seen her naked a hundred times by now, he was just as mindblown as the first time.

And he was absolutely still thinking about those boobies.

“I, um, kind of want to rub my face in them.”

“Just your face? Jordan, you can rub whatever you want on them.”

“Fuuuuck.”

“Wait, I’m sorry. You’re just so beautiful. So soft, so sexy. I always thought so.”

“Hey, you don’t have to charm me, mister. You already have me in bed.”

“I’m not just trying to charm you. I mean, I am also trying to charm you. But, I was remembering. That night I told you I was leaving. I hate that you thought I didn’t want to date you because you were plain-looking. You were never plain-looking. Not for a minute, not even close.”

“Oh… well, you did tell me it wasn’t that.”

“I tried to. I don’t think you believed me. Not entirely. But I meant it. I loved you then, too, but I didn’t know how to tell you that when I also didn’t know how it could work. You were always perfect, and I always wanted you. I’m so lucky you want to be with me, that you put up with me and all of this.”

“Okay.” She didn’t brush him off, recognizing that desperate panic he got in his eyes sometimes. He was doing the work of digging into his hurts and mistakes and regrets, and sharing them. That was what she asked him for, and she appreciated it. “Do you want to know a little secret? You were never very good at hiding how much you liked me.”

“But isn’t that worse? If I obviously loved you and I took off and broke your heart anyway?”

“Well, I forgive you for that. Now it’s your turn to forgive you.”

He shrugged.

“Yes?”

“I don’t know,” he said. “We’ll see.”

“I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

Now she was remembering all those months ago, too. Last summer, when she couldn’t deny she’d been sideswiped and heartbroken by his plans. But one thing was always clear—how much he hated to disappoint her. How much he cared. That was how she knew, even when things were so uncertain, that he would be worth all the trouble.

“Do you know you have the purest heart?”

“Hmm,” he mumbled with a soft laugh, probably already well on his way to dreamland on a pillow of her soft breasts, which he’d happily gotten his fill of tonight.

“I hope you believe that I’m so lucky, too,” she said.

A sad mermaid walked past a bar. The werewolf bartender called to him: "Hey, why so sad? Come on in and have a drink. This pretty vampire here is going to fill us all in with the latest news from the toys front!" The pretty vampire hissed: "Shut up!"

(Somehow or other it shall have occurred a similar way ^^')

But Ji Ho stepped in Moogie's Bar nonetheless, needing some advice after his and Vlad's weird date. Ji Ho: "Do you think he still loves me after we removed the spell? He's as cold and distanced as always." Saiwa: "Vlad didn't have the ideal upbringing. He is a bastard and no one ever really cared for him until he met Leander and Wesley. We all know how that went. Then he met you and his whole world got shaken. For the first time he got a glimpse on how real love felt. But he couldn't have you. Now, that he finally can, he doesn't know what to do. But nothing ever changed his undying love for you. You know it, the Bond doesn't lie." Ji Ho: "But how does he keep all his feelings at bay then? Since I woke up at Verdantis and all those emotions hit me, I struggle to act 'normal'. It's so overwhelming. I want him so much it hurts. How am I supposed to barrel that all up inside?" They all sighed in unison.

Jack: "I guess it was the safest for him to not show his feelings. Just like you, in a way. To not hurt you, scare you and keep you save - and to prevent him from getting hurt himself. You'll have to tempt him like a shy deer I fear ^^' " Ji Ho: "Hmmm..."

And while Ji Ho mulled over on how to tempt oh so shy Vlad out of his hide, Jack and Sai talked about their relationships and came to terms that they should put some more effort in them. And change a few things - and themselves. Sai: "Don't worry, Ji Ho. We're all struggling, hm? Take baby steps. The road to change is stony, slow and painful. And sometimes you don't move forward at all. Look at me." Ji Ho looked at Sai.

Until Jack howled out: "Aouw, come on! Now don't you say that! The Sai from a few weeks ago would have complained and whined about having to be the captain again of this crazy mission and leading a bunch of weirdos through the vastness of space in this junkyard of a ship. And even a few days ago you'd all acted like Captain Ahab about hunting down Moby Dick aka Tiny Can. And now you're all in to rescue a man you don't even know to bring him back to his kids. You have changed. And I know you hate to admit it, but Tiny Can helped you to." Sai laughed: "And here I thought you were the captain ^^' " But Jack was right... he has changed and he's going to take a strong grip to the armrests of that captain's chair to fulfill their mission and he's going to start working towards taking an even stronger grip on his attempts to finally earn Jeb's wand!

(I wonder if that huge AC - permeating the air with Romantium behind their backs - has an influence on their decisions?)

And since they're talking relationships and changes, that faithful day-out with Greg came to Jack's mind. Where he'd told him that relationships are hard work. And that he is stronger than he thinks he is. That was long before he even entered the Therapy Game. And yes, he now was way more stronger then he had been then. Stronger than ever. He, too, changed a lot. He survived his own (ingame) death and Lou cheating on him with Caleb (kind of), his coma, the cowplants, Vlad's death, Greg snatching his beloved Noxee from him, the break-up with Kiyoshi and months of searing pain and whatever else! He's strong enough - and he'll survive giving his and Kiyoshi's love a second chance too. He's going to fight for it, because he is the Super Soldier! (And a werewolf - after all ;)

It was getting late and Ji Ho returned to their quarters. And when heading to the bathroom, he found Vlad - in his single bed again. He didn't even change clothes or bothered to put a blanket over him...

He must have sensed Ji Ho. "You're here..." Vlad murmured in his sleep and sighed contently. "Always." Ji Ho whispered. He's going to throw that bed in the trash compactor by tomorrow and Vlad is going to have to deal with sleeping in their bed from now on.

3.36 Left the Building

Later that night, I remember what Lexie said about not letting any opportunities to get away from me and decide I should try to find a way to get Lacey alone.

I just can't find the right moment. It seems like one of us is always heading off into our tent for a nap or busy eating or caught up in conversation with someone else.

It doesn't help that Lexie keeps looking at me expectantly. It feels like everyone else is waiting for me to make my move and having all eyes on me just adds to the pressure.

At one point we're all gathered around the campfire when Lacey starts asking Paul about school.

"Are you planning on staying at Foxbury for med school?" she inquires.

"No, actually I was accepted into Sequoia State," he explains. "I'm going to take my last few courses at Foxbury over the summer, then I'm moving here in the fall."

"Oh, that's cool! I guess we'll be seeing you around more then."

I feel my stomach drop a bit and decide I should intervene before Lacey and Paul start making plans together. Lacey starts coughing and I seize the opportunity.

"I could use some fresh air," I break in. "Sounds like you could, too, Lacey."

"Yeah, that would be nice," she replies, and we walk away from the others.

"I hope you don't mind that I singled you out, but I thought you could use a break from the smoke," I tell her.

"Oh, no, that's fine," she responds. "Actually, I was hoping we would get the chance to be alone."

"You were?"

"Don't act so surprised," she says, a smile spreading across her face. "I thought it was obvious I was into you."

"Well, I guess I wasn't sure. Actually, I thought you might be interested in Paul."

She wrinkles her nose. "Paul? He's nice and all, but he's not really my type. He can be kind of a dork sometimes."

"He's not that bad," I say before realizing I'm defending the guy I've been insecure about. "Anyway, what is your type?"

"Well, I like a guy who can make me laugh. Someone who's comfortable being himself and goes for what he wants."

This would be the perfect moment for me to ask her out or kiss her or something, but none of that happens. Instead we're interrupted by the ungodly sound of someone retching their guts out behind us.

We turn to see Lucy hunched over and violently expelling the contents of her stomach onto the ground. Any chance of a romantic moment happening tonight is effectively ruined.

We walk back towards the others, who are gathered around Lucy in concern.

"Are you okay?" Paul asks her. He runs down a list a symptoms but Lucy denies that anything's wrong.

"I'm fine, really," she insists, like she hadn't just recreated a scene from The Exorcist in the middle of the woods.

"Oh, so you expelled the demon, then?" I ask.

"Yes, Pazuzu has left the building."

In the morning we start packing up and prepare to leave.

"So did you do it?" Lexie asks, referring to me asking Lacey on a date.

"No. I was about to, but then Lucy...you know. Kinda ruined the moment."

Lexie laughs. "Yeah, that would do it."

"But look, I need you to lay off a bit about Lacey," I say, kindly but firmly. "I know you mean well, but it's a lot of pressure."

"I'm sorry," she apologizes. "I know I'm being overzealous. I just want you to be happy."

"And I will be. I am. I had a rough few months, but I'm in a really good place right now."

"That's great! I guess I just felt guilty about everything. I hate that I hurt you."

"I know. But I don't even think about that much anymore. I mostly think about how much you cared about and supported me. Maybe your feelings for me weren't romantic, but they were still real."

"They were, and still are. You're like the brother I never had, and I miss you like crazy." She's starting to tear up, and I know now that whatever negative feelings I had about our breakup are gone. They left the building with Pazuzu.

"I miss you, too. I don't like not having you in my life." I wrap my arms around her. It feels nice having her in my arms again, but it's not a romantic feeling. It's more like the comfort of an old friend.

"I really do love you, Johnny."

"I love you, too, Lexie."
